Following the events of "Escape Room", Dani, Chris, and Lazuli seek revenge on Nomis. Little did they know that they are in for another game.

"Okay, be good, okay?" Lazuli told to her daughter.

"I will, Mom," Clementine said.

Lazuli joined Dani and Chris in Dani's car.

"I can't believe you told me to cancel our flight," Dani said.

"Well, we don't know if Nomis is going to hijack our flight," Chris added.

"At least we can spend time together," Lazuli said, looking on the bright side.

It took 30 hours, but the three made it unharmed.

"Okay, where's the place they marked as Nomis HQ?" Lazuli asked.

"This should be the place," Dani said.

It didn't look like a corporate building, instead, it felt like a place where homeless people hung out.

"What the hell? I'm sure I was right! " Chris said.

"I knew we shouldn't have come here." Lazuli said.

"Don't get mad at us Lazuli, we're sure this is the right place," Dani said. "Just keep looking."

Still nothing. Was it all nothing?

"Hey."

The group noticed a drug addict.

"You got a dollar?"

"No, we don't have any money." Dani lied.

"Well, okay then."

As the junkie left, he bumped into Chris.

"Hey!"

"Sorry."

"What a piece of-"

Suddenly, Chris's pocket felt lighter. He noticed his wallet missing.

"Stop right there!"

The junkie heard Chris and started running. Chris ran after him.

"He has my wallet!"

Lazuli and Dani followed Chris.

The chase continued through the city and down to the metro. The junkie leaped over the bars with Chris following. Dani and Lazuli arrived, following suit.

"Lazuli, you cut him off!" Dani shouted.

"You got it!" Lazuli said, going in the opposite direction.

Chris noticed the junkie running into the subway train. He quickly boarded the train with Dani going in not long after. The junkie got off the train just as the train doors shut.

"Fuck!" Chris angrily exclaimed.

"Let's get him at the next stop. I already sent Lazuli to catch him." Dani said, gasping for breath.

The two sat down to rest. Noticing four other people with them, they kept everything to themselves.

As the train went into the dark tunnel, everything began to shake.

"What's going on?" A Catholic man shouted.

"Everyone just stay put." A woman wearing a pride flag pin added.

"Um, guys..." Chris said.

The subway car Chris and Dani were on separated themselves from the rest of the train.

"Oh shoot."

Dani pressed the help button, nothing happened. Then a familiar voice called out.

"Welcome to Nomis escape rooms. Our most immersive rooms yet..."

"No, no, no, no, no, no!"

"Not this again!"

Dani and Chris noticed the passengers with the group cowering in fear.

"Nomis... they found us," Chris said.

The car screeched to a halt.

"I can't believe this!"

"Chris listen to me, we beat the escape room once, we can do it again," Dani reassured.

"You've been through Nomis before?" The catholic man asked.

"Yes!" The pride woman said, panicking.

"Chill Theo, chill." A man from Puerto Rico said.

"Everybody calm down!" Chris shouted. "We can all make it out alive if we follow the clues."

"Now, tell us your names," Dani said.

"I'm Nate." The catholic man said.

"Brianna." The pride woman said. "I'm also non-binary."

"Should I call by they or them or she and her?" Chris asked.

"Both. It doesn't matter." Brianna said.

"Theo." The Puerto Rican man said.

"I'm Chris."

"Dani."

The five passengers noticed a sixth person, another woman, cowering herself and covering her ears.

"Hey..." Dani said in a soft voice.

The woman refused to look Dani in the eyes as terror smeared over her face. The group decided to leave Dani alone with the woman.

"Listen, it's going to be okay... I can help you."

"R-Rachel..."

Dani took Rachel's hand as she helped her up.

"Okay everybody, this is Rachel."

"Hi, Rachel." Everybody said as they're in a AA meeting.

"H-Hi..." She said, very shyly.

"Okay, we all beat our escape rooms, right?" Nate said. "We can do this again."

"Arms in!" Theo said.

Everyone looked at him in confusion.

"Sorry, I watch too many superhero movies."

The group searched the train car for clues.

"Look, whose purse is this?" Brianna asked.

Everyone shook their heads. Brianna opened the purse to find a slab of rubber and a pair of scissors.

"Is that it?" Dani asked.

"That's all."

"Over here. The sign." Nate said.

The group looked at the sign that probably meant a clue.

"All false advertising must be pulled."

The group looked up at the handlebars of the subway. The front handle was labeled A, while the back handle was labeled Z. Chris noticed an ad for water. The A was missing from water.

"Pull the handle with A on it!"

Dani pulled the handle with the letter A. A silver coin dropped out. At the same time, on the subway car's signal, the letter A appeared on the screen.

"What are we supposed to do with this?" Dani asked, looking at the coin.

"Look, there's a coin slot," Theo said, at the front of the train. "It says we need 11 coins."

Chris inserted the first coin. The number dropped from 11 to 10.

"Okay, search for more misspelled advertisements!" Dani said.

The group searched around the train.

"There, an ad for suntan lotion!" Nate said. "The O is missing!"

"What about this one?" Rachel said. "There's one for a dictionary, but there's no C!"

Brianna and Theo went up to the handlebars.

"Ready?" Theo asked.

Brianna nodded. The two pulled at the same time, two coins dropped out. Chris collected them and inserted them into the coin slot. The number went down from 10 to 8. Two more letters appeared on the screen.

"Hellraiser! The L's gone!" Dani said.

As Dani pulled onto the handlebar with L, she got an electrical shock. The train began to shake violently as electricity surged on the seats and the bars.

"The rubber!" Theo said.

Brianna cut the rubber with the scissors and handed a slice to everyone.

"Okay, let's move on."

Dani pulled down on the L handle, another coin dropped out. Theo took the coin and placed it into the slot.

"We need 7 more coins!"

"W and E from Where's my Coffee are missing!"

Nate and Rachel pulled down the handles. Two more coins dropped out. The number dropped from 7 to 5.

"There's a K missing in the ad for a Backyard Swimming Pool!" Theo added.

As Brianna went to pull the handle, Dani stopped her.

"There's a B missing in backpack!"

Rachel went over to pull on the handle too. Theo placed the coins into the slot.

"3 left!" He shouted.

The electricity grew wilder, it was difficult to walk from one side to another without stumbling from the shaking train.

Chris looked at the message on the board.

"I can't find any more misspelled ads!" Nate shouted.

"Keep looking!" Dani shouted.

"Welcome back..." Chris muttered. "Pull M, E, and C!"

"What? Are you serious?" Dani shouted.

"No, look at the message up there."

Dani looked up and realized what Chris was talking about. She pulled on the handlebars as the last three coins dropped out. The message then changed from "Welcome Back" to "Congratulations". Chris inserted the coins into the slot. Part of the floor opened up, showing the group's escape.

"Look, our exit!" Nate said, looking at the trapdoor.

Everyone quickly went in as the trapdoor closed behind them.

"My back..." Rachel grunted.

"Okay, back to Nomis," Chris said. "You guys made it out of your games alive?"

Everyone nodded.

"We need to move onto the next room. " Nate said.

The group found a lever on the ground. As Theo pulled it, the platform they were on started to shift down.

"Please wait for further instructions." A voice-over said.

As the platform reached the bottom, a door behind the group opened. As the group went out, they found themselves in a place with safe deposit boxes.

"The bank?" Chris said.

The group noticed an open bank vault across the room.

"So we just need to make it across, no problem," Nate said.

Brianna went over to get a closer look.

"Brianna, stop!" Dani said.

It was too late. Brianna stepped on a tile on the tiled floor. Lasers shot out from all sides. Quickly, Brianna stepped back and the lasers stopped.

"Oh god!"

Chris noticed the tiled floor and counted the number of tiles across. Eight. He then counted how many were across. Fifteen.

Theo noticed a tray of lollipops sitting across from him. Two of the lollipops had keys inside labeled Tanya and Sonya. Quickly, he took the lollipops and crushed them with his shoe.

"Guys, I found two keys!" Theo said.

There was one black key and one white key.

"What do we do with them?" Chris asked.

"The black key is for Sonya while the white key is for Tanya."

Chris took both keys and handed one to Dani.

"Okay, Dani and I will head to the deposit boxes on the left while Rachel and Brianna head to the right."

Rachel and Brianna climbed over the table to their side to get to the safe deposits. Meanwhile, Chris and Dani went over the table on their side to get to the deposit boxes.

"Hey, there's a bank teller machine over there," Nate said to everyone.

As soon as Nate made it over to the bank teller machine, a voice over the intercom gave the group a warning.

"FULL LASER GRID ACTIVATION INITIATED. STARTING IN TEN MINUTES."

"Oh shit, we gotta hurry!" Theo said.

"There it is! Sonya!" Chris said.

Chris unlocked the safe deposit. Out poured shiny, bright jewels.

"There are diamonds over here!" Dani said, touching it.

She felt her finger getting pricked.

"Ah! Very sharp!"

On the other side of the bank, Rachel and Brianna unlocked Tanya's deposit box and found stacks of paper.

"Banknotes on our side!" Rachel said. "What do we do with this?"

Chris put everything together.

"Give us the banknotes! I got an idea!"

As Rachel went over to hand the banknotes, her hand pressed down on a switch on the table. Lasers shot out from the tiled floor, burning her skin. She quickly placed her hand off, turning off the lasers.

"Okay, not doing that!" Rachel said.

"Just toss it!" Chris shouted.

"I'm a bad thrower!" Rachel said back.

"I'll do it!" Brianna said.

Brianna tossed the notes over to Chris. Dani covered the notes with her blood. The banknotes revealed a hidden message.

"1337."

Nate entered the code into the bank teller machine. Out came a receipt.

"What is it?" Chris said.

"It shows where we need to go on the grid."

Nate took the remaining lollipops to mark the spots. He first started at the far left of the bank. He walked four tiles forward, marking the tiles with lollipops. He then moved two tiles to the right, marking them with lollipops. Following that, he walked back two tiles, right three tiles, and move forward two tiles.

"Man, whoever designed these rooms must be crazy," Theo said to himself.

Nate only got halfway.

"What's wrong?" Rachel asked.

"The receipt only shows half of the grid. But screw that." Nate said.

Nate took his first tile step forward without any help.

"Nate, stop!" Dani shouted.

"I like to experiment!" He said back, taking another step.

"Stop! Don't take another step!" Chris shouted.

Nate was already too preoccupied to listen. He took another step. Theo quickly followed the marked spots to stop Nate.

"Whoa, you aren't going any further!" Theo said.

Theo brought Nate back to safety.

"FULL LASER GRID ACTIVATION IN 5 MINUTES."

"Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit, oh shit, oh shit!" Theo mumbled.

Chris noticed something sticking out of the diamonds. He sifted through the diamonds with the banknotes to reveal a sheet of clear plastic. There were some markings on the plastic sheet.

"What do we do with this?" Dani said.

"I think this shows the rest of the grid," Chris said.

Chris laid the plastic over a grid overview of the bank.

"Bingo."

"What?" Brianna called out.

"We have the rest of the grid!" Dani shouted. "Start where Nate left off!"

Rachel, Theo, and Brianna arrived at the last spot Nate marked.

"Okay, move two tiles to the right!" Dani shouted.

Brianna nervously placed her foot on the next tile. It was safe. She then moved another tile, it was also safe.

"Move forward three tiles!"

Rachel marked the tiles with the lollipops. Chris left his side to join the others as Dani read out the rest of the tiles.

"FULL LASER GRID ACTIVATION IN 30 SECONDS."

By now, everyone already made it across the floor.

"Hurry, Dani!" Chris shouted.

Dani made a run for it, following the marked tiles.

"FULL LASER GRID ACTIVATION IN 10, 9, 8, 7..."

Dani made it just in time.

"Come on, close!" Dani said, trying to close the bank vault.

The bank vault closed just as the lasers came on.

Theo held Nate by his shirt.

"You try and experiment again, we won't save your sorry ass!" He threatened.

"Theo!" Chris said, breaking the two up. "Chill."

"For now, everyone is safe," Dani said, breaking up the fight.

The group arrived in the next room, a beach with a lighthouse.

"Over there. A stamp." Chris said. "Are we in a postcard?"

"Looks like it," Nate said at the other end. "The ocean's pretty much nonexistent."

"Okay, look for clues," Theo said.

"Hey, there's a slot there." Rachel said near the bar. "We need an anchor or something shaped like it."

"I found a metal detector!" Brianna added.

"Hey, is this of any help?" Theo said, finding a camera.

"Keep it with you, we might need it," Nate added.

As the group searched the area with the metal detector, Chris noticed a beach chair sinking into the sand.

"Guys, we better hurry or else!"

"Or else what?" Dani asked.

"We're going to sink into the sand."

Dani looked at Chris with shock.

"Hey, the detector's picking up something!" Nate shouted.

The metal detector signaled like crazy, near the lighthouse. The group dug through the sand. Rachel felt something hard, metal, and cold.

"I got it!" Rachel said.

Rachel pulled out the anchor, which was attached to a rope. Everyone cheered.

"I knew we would do it!" Theo added.

"And no one even died!" Nate chuckled.

"AHHHHHH!"

The group turned to find Dani knee-deep in the sand.

"Dani!" Brianna cried out.

Chris reached for Dani, avoiding the sinking sand in the process.

"I can't reach her!"

"Grab onto this!" Rachel shouted, giving Dani the rope.

Dani sunk further as the sand reached her waist. The group pulled with all their might to get Dani out. The rope slipped from her hands and she went under.

"No!" Chris shouted.

"I'm not giving up!" Nate stated, tying the rope around his waist. "Someone hold onto me!"

Theo tried to stop Nate. "Nate, what are you-"

Nate went under the sand. Everyone quickly grabbed hold of the rope.

"Come on... Come on..." Theo grunted.

Nate pulled out Dani as the group pulled her out.

"Now Nate!" Chris added.

The rope snapped before the group got a chance.

"Nate!" Brianna shouted.

"He's gone... He's gone..." Chris wheezed.

Everyone stared at the spot in shock and sadness.

"We have to carry on..." Rachel said.

The group inserted the anchor into the slot. It opened the door, allowing the group to get into the bar.

"Now what?" Theo said.

"This fridge isn't plugged in." Rachel said.

"Okay, search for a socket," Brianna said.

"And I found one!" Chris said.

Rachel plugged in the fridge. The door swung open.

"Yes! That's our escape!"

Meanwhile, Dani went back outside to see if they missed anything. She then noticed a moon decoration behind the lighthouse. As she climbed to the top, she noticed that she could remove the moon, revealing another escape route.

"Guys! I found a way out of the game!" Dani called out.

"No! We found an escape route here!" Theo said.

"Do you want to keep playing? Or do you want to escape-"

By now, the room went dark.

"What happened? Is it me?" Dani said.

A blue light filled the room, imitating moonlight. The only other source of light came from the lightbulbs in the bar.

"Let's get out of here!" Chris said.

"No! This way!" Brianna shouted.

Chris, Rachel, and Theo made their way to Dani.

"The ground's sinking beneath us!" Chris shouted.

Brianna had no other choice, she went through the fridge just as the door to the bar closed and locked behind her, preventing anyone from going in. Meanwhile, Chris was the first to make it to the lighthouse. He climbed up the ladder to meet up with Dani. Rachel also made it up the ladder.

"Theo, come on!" Dani shouted.

Theo started to climb up the ladder.

"Hurry!" Chris added.

Theo noticed the bars of the ladder closing in. He tried to hurry, but the bars closed in on his fingers, forcing him to let go. He fell into the sand like water.

"Theo!" Rachel screamed.

The three carried on without Theo.

"Brianna's marching to certain death." Rachel whimpered.

"Don't worry. It's just us three now." Dani said. "We'll take down Nomis, and avenge Theo, Nate, and Brianna."

"I know a person that can help us," Chris added.

"Really?"

"Yeah, he's a total badass."

"Really? What does he look like?" Rachel said.

"That's a question saved for another time. Let's go."

The three found a ladder leading up to a manhole.

"Okay, push!"

The group unlocked the manhole as they heard cars.

"Yes! I think we made it!"

The three climbed out of the sewers and into the city.

"Yes! We made it out!" Chris cheered.

"I told you this was the right way!" Dani added.

Rachel then got a sigh of relief.

"Now let's get out of here before-"

By that point, Brianna came running in.

"Brianna?" Chris said. "What are you doing here?"

Before anyone got to say anything, the cars stopped moving.

"We're still in the game," Dani said.

A drop of water fell onto Chris's hand.

"Ah! So hot!"

"What?"

"Acid!"

A green timer of ninety seconds appeared on the walk sign.

"We better hurry and look for clues!" Brianna said.

"Girls, there's a lock for the convenience store here!" Chris said. "We need a key!"

Brianna went on the roof of the convenience store and found a key.

"Brianna! Ten seconds!" Chris shouted.

Brianna made it just in time, unlocking the door. The group made it inside the store. The light of the walk sign changed to red, rain poured out. It burned through cars, plants, and metal outside like acid.

"Acid rain, I should've known," Chris stated.

"Okay, look for clues!" Rachel said.

The group continued their search for clues.

"I found a remote and TV!" Chris said, finding it behind the counter.

Chris checked the back panel.

"But the batteries are missing for the remote."

"What kind of batteries do we need?" Brianna asked.

"Two Double A's."

"There's only C and Triple-A batteries in here!" Dani pointed out.

"Ah-ha! There's a dispenser for Double A's here!" Rachel said.

The group gathered around the dispenser.

"Doesn't look coin-operated."

"On the side!" Chris said. "We need to insert C and Triple-A batteries here!"

"But how much?" Dani said.

"It doesn't say."

Brianna looked at the logo of the dispenser and noticed a clue.

"Fifty-two volts. That's the amount we need!"

"But how much is how much!" Rachel said.

"We can try," Chris said, taking a C battery.

Dani stopped Chris.

"We don't know how much one battery is. We could fry and short-out this thing."

Chris got a closer look at the labels to the batteries. They were the same brand, but a closer look revealed how many volts they produced.

"C batteries give out twenty volts while Triple-A batteries give out four."

Dani did the math in her head. "So we need two C batteries and three Triple A's."

The group inserted the batteries into the slot. As the machine started up, it dropped out a pack of Double A's in the dispense slot.

"Score!" Chris cheered.

Chris took the batteries and inserted them into the remote. He then turned on the TV.

"And now, for today's weather... Rain, rain, rain. Better collect them for your science needs, because it's raining all day!"

"Collect... We need to collect rain!" Dani summarized.

"But it's acid rain! How do we collect that?" Rachel asked.

The group scanned the streets to find anything that wasn't melted.

"There! The ketchup bottle!" Chris said.

Chris ran to get the surprisingly light and empty ketchup bottle.

"Place it under the rain gutter. That way, we collect a lot of rainwater!" Brianna instructed.

Chris placed the bottle under the gutter and ran back into the store to join the others. The acid rain started up almost immediately after. The group watched as the bottle collected the rain.

"What do we do now?" Chris said.

Rachel noticed a phone booth.

"The phone booth over there is padlocked! Maybe we need to burn the lock with acid?"

Chris ran out to get the bottle as the rain stopped. He went over to the phone booth and poured the acid over the chains. The lock withered away. Chris opened the phone booth and used the phone. No message.

"There's not-"

Chris fell through a trapdoor.

"Chris!" screamed Dani.

The group ran to the phone booth. They didn't care as the doors to the convenience store closed and locked behind them. They tried breaking into the phone booth, but the glass was too thick, not even when acid was poured on it.

"What do we do now?" Rachel said.

"Wait, over there!" Dani said.

A taxi cab door had opened. The group rushed for the door, with Dani getting in first. The door closed behind her.

"Dani!" Brianna yelled.

Dani tried to open the door from her side, but it was stuck. Rachel and Brianna couldn't get in either.

"Oh my god, we're gonna die here," Brianna said.

"No! NO! No! NO! No!"

As the acid rain started up again, Brianna and Rachel held hands as they were melted away.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

Dani pounded on the windows, but the windows wouldn't break. Suddenly she found herself tumbling into darkness.

Dani awoke just a few minutes later. As she looked around her surroundings, she noticed herself in a small playroom with a fireplace.

"Where am I?"

Two clunks rang out. Two bodies fell from the sky. Chris landed in a room blocked by airtight glass, while Lazuli found herself in the fireplace.

"Guys!" Dani said, embracing Lazuli.

"Hey! A little help here?" Chris shouted.

Dani tried to kick open the glass, it wouldn't budge. Chris noticed a wet puddle underneath his feet. Before anyone could think of anything, the water was up to Chris's ankles.

"Look for clues!" Dani shouted.

"What?"

"Look. For. Clues."

The two looked around for anything. Then, Dani found it. A loose floor panel covering a wire. Noticing the wire was connected, she removed even more of the loose floor panels, to free as much wire as she could.

"Hey, can I have a closer look at that?" Lazuli asked.

The latter noticed a small hole at the very end of the wire. Looking at the fireplace, she had an idea.

"Put the wire right into the fireplace."

Dani was now confused. "What?"

"It's flammable. We can burn a hole through the glass with this."

Dani ignited the fire by turning up the heat dial for the fireplace. Lazuli lit the wire and aimed the flames at the glass blocking Chris and the two.

"It's cracking!" Dani cheered.

Chris's head was fully submerged. The two watched as more cracks were made through the glass.

*SMASH*

Water spilled out everywhere as Chris was left gasping for breath. He was helped up by Dani.

"Let's get out of here!" Lazuli said. "This way!"

Lazuli led the two to an exit. Thankfully for them, no one knew.

As the last Nomis employee of the company was placed into custody, Lazuli told what happened.

"And so there I was, chasing that sucker until I had him cornered. But then, something approached me from behind and knocked me out cold. I guess I awoke here."

"Well, at least I got my wallet back," Chris said.

Sergeant Yates approached the three.

"Well, I guess I should apologize for not believing you. Thanks to you, Nomis is now defunct."

"Good riddance for them." Lazuli said.

Everyone had a good chuckle.

"I arranged plane tickets for your trip home. You should no longer worry about Nomis."

"Yeah, I won't be in any escape room ever again," Chris added.

As Johnson recovered from his pulse, he noticed Chris and Dani happy.

"What's the thing?" He muttered. "You guys a couple?"

"No," Dani said. "We just agreed to be friends."

"Yeah. Nomis is now out of business."

Johnson went back to sleep again as the two decided to leave him alone.

Chris and Dani watched as Lazuli had a happy reunion with her daughter.

Dani was still curious. "Damn, I never knew your friend had a penguin."

"You get used to it when you know him," Chris added.

"Yeah, your friend's a weirdo."

"He sure is."
