Episode 117
The Top 11 Favorite iCarly Episodes
The episode opens with Sean J. Archer, a.k.a. the Mayhem Critic, not being shown on-camera for a bit before he pops up from behind the couch as he walks to the front and sits down before starting his introduction.
"Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. I'm Sean the Mayhem Critic, the critic that rips movies a new one." Sean said. "Now, some of you were probably wondering why am I coming out from behind the couch. Because I'm going to be talking about a certain popular sitcom of all time. And I took special precautions to protect myself from angry fans. I have my pistol, I brought out my MP5 submachine gun, my dark saber and a grenade for when the shit hits the fan. Now with all of that out of the way, let's talk about Dan Schneider."
(Various photos of Dan Schneider is shown, followed by a picture of him as the character Dennis Blunden in Head of the Class is shown while the song "I Found a Way" by Drake Bell plays in the background)
Sean: (Narrating) Ah, Dan Schneider. How have the mighty have fallen for me to talk about you on my show. He got his start by acting in films in the 1980s and he played the loveable Dennis Blunden in the hit ABC sitcom Head of the Class from 1986 to 1991. But what is Dan Schneider known for?
(We see a photo of Andre pouring ketchup of Tori's feet in Victorious, followed by a photo of Sam and Carly showing their feet with families drawn on their toes in iCarly, followed by a photo of Cat Valentine trying to stick her foot in her mouth and a photo of Gibby massaging Sam's feet and Carly having her toe stuck in the faucet)
Sean: (Narrating) Okay, aside from being a pervert with a foot fetish. But still, what is he really known for?
(We see various photos of shows like Drake & Josh, Zoey 101, Victorious, Henry Danger, Sam & Cat and Game Shakers are shown)
Sean: (Narrating) He's known for bringing us some of the greatest shows on Nickelodeon. Shows like Drake & Josh, Zoey 101, Victorious, Sam & Cat you name it. The man is known as the "Norman Lear of children's shows" and these are the shows that are nostalgic to us.
"So why am I talking about Dan Schneider? Well, today I am going to be talking about Mr. Schneider's most popular sitcom of all time. And of course I'm talking about iCarly." Sean said.
(The title screen for iCarly is shown, followed by various clips from the show while the song "Leave It All to Me" by Miranda Cosgrove and Drake Bell plays in the background)
Sean: (Narrating) Let me go on record that iCarly is one of the best nostalgic shows from Nickelodeon ever. It was hilarious, charming and full of heart and it had a lot of memorable characters and of course a lot of memorable episodes. But which episodes were the best? Which ones were the funniest? Which ones made an impact on all of us? There's a lot to choose from and I'll try to keep my spoilers to a minimum. Also, I will not count iParty with Victorious, that one is a crossover TV movie.
"And before I start this countdown, I would just like to say that there will not be any ship wars going on. This is not the place for that, so I don't care that you ship either Creddie or Seddie, just…" Sean said.
(We cut to the home of a Creddie fan, played by Brian. We see the that the Creddie fan's room is decorated with photos of Carly and Freddie and he has a Creddie coffee mug)
"How can you say that?" Creddie Fanboy asked. "How can you say that you don't care who people ship? We all know that Creddie is the better ship."
(We cut to the home of a Seddie fan, played by Dave. We see that the Seddie fan is wearing a red Seddie T-shirt, a Seddie baseball cap and posters of Seddie all over his wall)
"What are you talking about?" Seddie Fanboy asked. "You can't be serious about Creddie being a better ship. She's not in love with him. Sam is truly in love with Freddie."
"No way! All she does is tease him all the time. He doesn't need that kind of abuse from her. He needs some tender love and care from Carly." Creddie Fanboy said.
"Oh, man. Look, I'm trying to do a Top 11 countdown here. So please, we don't need any of this here." Sean said.
"Alright, Mr. Critic. I hope you talk about some of the best Creddie episodes." Creddie Fanboy said.
"No, I want him to talk about the best Seddie episodes." Seddie Fanboy said.
"Oy. Let's get this countdown started. So here it is, the Top 11 Favorite iCarly Episodes." Sean said.
Creddie Fanboy: (Yells off-screen) Creddie rules!
Seddie Fanboy: (Yells off-screen) Hey, suck your mother!
"Why me?" Sean asked.
(The iCarly intro plays as the "Top 11 Favorite iCarly Episodes" title appears)
Number 11: iOpen a Restaurant (Season 6, Episode 3)
Sean: (Narrating) This is a pretty funny episode with a pretty hilarious parody, which I will get to that in a second. The episode centers around Gibby opening up a secret restaurant in the school's basement and this episode is tons of fun and pretty enjoyable seeing Gibby living out his dreams to own a restaurant.
Gibby (Played by Noah Munck): As far back as I can remember, I've always wanted to have my own restaurant.
Carly Shay (Played by Miranda Cosgrove): Gibby, if you open a restaurant in this basement, you're gonna get caught.
Gibby: I will not. Nobody's been down here for like twenty years.
Freddie Benson (Played by Nathan Kress): And that's a concrete ceiling. I bet you can't hear anything through that.
Sam Puckett (Played by Jennette McCurdy): Yeah, and look. It's got a sink, electrical, rat poop… everything ya need for a restaurant.
Sean: (Narrating) This is a very entertaining episode because it shows how passionate Gibby is with food, even to the point of ordering for Carly and Freddie. We also get a hilarious subplot for Carly, where somebody steals her TV and laptop from out of the apartment and Spencer makes these crazy inventions like one that ends up blinding Carly with a bright light.
(Carly enters the apartment. A bright light flashes as she screams in horror. Freddie runs over to Carly's apartment to check on her)
Carly Shay: My eyes!
Freddie Benson: What happened?
Spencer Shay (Played by Jerry Trainor): (Laughs) Yeah! It worked! Yes!
Carly Shay: What worked?!
Spencer Shay: My flash blaster!
Freddie Benson: What are you talking about?
Spencer Shay: My burglar alarm! I made it so we don't get robbed again.
Carly Shay: You blinded me!
Spencer Shay: Temporarily.
Sean: (Narrating) There's also another gadget that shoots out popcorn kernels and it ends up going haywire and starts pelting Mrs. Benson with popcorn kernels, which was pretty hilarious. But what does it for me was the little parody of Goodfellas in the episode and as a big fan of Scorsese movies, I've enjoyed it. We see that there's this kid named Billy Boots that Gibby has known since junior high who's really rude and really obnoxious.
Billy Boots (Played by Chase Austin): (After taking a sip of his lemonade) Now why don't you give us a laugh and take your shirt off?
Gibby: (Slams is cup down on the bar) Dang it!
(Sam tries to calm Gibby down)
Sam Puckett: Hey, hey, relax…
Gibby: You hear that mutt?! You heard what that mutt said to me?!
Billy Boots: Yeah c'mon, huh, c'mon!
Gibby: This is my place, Sam! I want some respect!
Sean: (Narrating) You have this scene and the beatdown scene where Sam beats Billy Boots with a butter sock is priceless for a kid's show. I'm just lucky that it didn't end with Sam and Gibby whacking the guy in the trunk of the car. You know I think that the writers of the episode Dan Schneider and Jake Farrow were fans of the movie Goodfellas and I'm pretty sure that Martin Scorsese watched this episode. It's a really fun episode with a lot of great moments. P.S.: Don't miss out on Sam's hot meat sandwich.
Sam Puckett: The secret is hot meat.
(Interlude to next episode)
Number 10: iQ (Season 5, Episode 5)
Sean: (Narrating) Okay, okay. Yes, you're all probably wondering why did I pick an episode from the trainwreck season where Sam and Freddie were dating…
"Hey! I take offense at that!" Creddie Fanboy exclaimed.
"Shut it!" Sean exclaimed.
Sean: (Narrating) In fact, this one is a really good episode. Carly has a crush on this very attractive guy named Kyle, played by Kevin Railsback, and he is British and very intelligent. So, she feels the need to act smarter in order to impress him.
Carly Shay: It's just I really like him and if he finds out I'm not as smart as he thinks I am then he's not wanna go out with me and I need a pretty boyfriend!
Spencer Shay: So you want me to just like throw him out?
Carly Shay: No! Uh, give yourself a bloody nose! (Picks up a wooden 2x4)
Sean: (Narrating) Aside from that, you have T-Bo getting evicted from The Groovy Smoothie, so Freddie gives him a chance to move in with him and his mother, but in order to move in, T-Bo must impress Mrs. Benson by acting polite and respectful. And let's not forget Spencer, we have him trying to crack open a safe that he found in the junkyard. Now, I love the character of Kyle, it's just brilliant. His vocabulary, Carly and everybody else's reactions to his vocabulary and I just love his reaction to Spencer trying to crack open a safe.
Kyle (Played by Kevin Railsback): You know, that safe is probably made of carbonized iron. And most chainsaw teeth are made of a tempered steel alloy.
Spencer Shay: And?
Kyle: Well, the safe has a far denser molecular structure.
(Spencer just looks at Kyle dumbfoundedly)
Kyle: That chainsaw could never cut through it.
Spencer Shay: Yeah, that's what I was thinkin'.
Sean: (Narrating) It's all just fantastic. And there's this movie called "Ick Glockmah" that Carly and Kyle go to see and it's a neat little reference to the Drake & Josh episode "We're Married". My only gripe about this episode was Carly coming off being a bit shallow about how she wants a pretty boyfriend and the only reason she's still studying and doing all of these stuff is because Kyle is hot and everything, which is definitely the wrong message that you should be sending girls. And I can see why people adore this episode especially to the majority of the show's fifth season, which are mostly Sam and Freddie dating episodes.
"Which are, how should I put this? Um… GARBAGE!" Sean exclaimed.
"You take that back, you bastard!" Seddie Fanboy exclaimed, pointing at Sean.
Sean: (Narrating) The humor is on-point, the references are great and it's definitely a highlight for the season.
Sam Puckett: Hey, Carls, why is Gibby dressed as a snowman?
(Carly speaks in Chinese, and we see the translation "I don't know!")
(Interlude to next episode)
Number 9: iSam's Mom (Season 4, Episode 2)
Sean: (Narrating) This is one of the show's finest highlights of the fourth season. We get to see Carly's new room, iCarly crossing over with Victorious and… that unexpected Seddie kiss from iOMG. But you wanna know who we get to see? Sam's mother. We've heard Sam mention her mother in previous seasons and you wouldn't believe who they got to play her mother on the episode. In this episode, Sam moves in with Carly after getting into another argument with her mother and her peculiar habits makes her a bad houseguest.
Carly Shay: Can you tell me why I found this half-eaten tamale in my bed?
Sam Puckett: 'Cause I left it there. Give me it.
Carly Shay: And look what I found on the stairs and not in the hamper, (Holds up Sam's "I Heart Vegas" panties) someone's little "I Heart Vegas" panties.
Sam Puckett: You know I hate that word.
Carly Shay: (Shouts) Panties!
Sam Puckett: Ah!
Sean: (Narrating) Carly is desperate to have Sam move out after she test her and Spencer patience, she invites Sam's mother Pam over so the two of them could resolve their difference. And for the episode's subplot, which is really hilarious, involves Freddie when he catches a criminal known as the Shadow Bandit robbing the Groovy Smoothie and the guy discovers where Freddie lives after T-Bo mentions Freddie on the news. Freddie and his mother move in with Carly and Spencer and his mother hires this crazy bodyguard who served in the army to protect Freddie.
(Gunsmoke knocks Spencer's snow cone machine out of his hands, then kicks him)
Spencer Shay: Oh!
(Gunsmoke slaps Spencer in the face)
Spencer Shay: Why my face?! Awww, come on! Mrs. Benson, could you please tell Gunsmoke that he does not need to protect Freddie from me?
Gunsmoke (Played by Anthony Vitale): He was carrying a suspicious device.
Carly Shay: It was a snow cone machine.
Gunsmoke: Which for all I know coulda been filled with plastic explosives or deadly furon gas.
Spencer Shay: Well, it wasn't.
Gunsmoke: Then can I have a snow cone?
Spencer Shay: No, you broke it!
Sean: (Narrating) But what makes this episode very hilarious is who they got to play Sam's mom. And they got the perfect actress to play her: Jane Lynch. (A picture of Jane Lynch is shown)
Sam Puckett: Mom?
Pam Puckett (Played by Jane Lynch): I know who I am. (Eats a potato chip)
Sam Puckett: Carly, you got my mother…
Carly Shay: You guys have to make up.
Sam Puckett: I don't want any part of her.
Pam Puckett: You don't deserve my parts.
Sam Puckett: Why would I want worn-out parts?
Pam Puckett: Cute. Just take a good look at your future, baby, 'cause this is where you're headed.
Sean: (Narrating) Jane Lynch is the best part about this episode and I love the scenes with her and Jennette McCurdy, and they got some of the best lines and moments on the episode. This show just goes to show that you could have great guest stars to be a part of the show and they struck gold.
Sam Puckett: Pardon my mommy's desperation.
Pam Puckett: Pardon my daughter's personality.
Sam Puckett: Blllleeehhhh!
Pam Puckett: Blllleeehhhh!
Dr. Papper (Played by Kyle T. Heffner): So why don't we all have a seat?
Sean: (Narrating) Funny and full of heart and with a hilarious guest star, this episode show how much effort the writers and director put into it. Talk about some motherly love.
(We cut to Sam and her mother fighting in the psychiatrist's office)
Dr. Papper: This isn't what I meant by express your feelings.
(Interlude to next episode)
Number 8: iGo to Japan (Season 2, Episode 6)
Sean: (Narrating) Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes! A definite highlight of the show's sophomore season. In this episode Carly, Sam and Freddie learn that they have been nominated for an iWeb award and they win tickets to attend the awards ceremony in where else? Japan.
Freddie Benson: Come on. What country are we going to?
Carly Shay: Uh… Canada.
Sam Puckett: Canada?
Carly Shay: Just kidding. Tokyo, we're going to Japan.
(Sam screams in excitement and hugs Carly)
Sean: (Narrating) And with Spencer and Mrs. Benson tagging along, they are in for one wild adventure. Honestly, its a fun, enjoyable episode from the start and it's super enjoyable. So yeah, the trio head to Japan and they are met by their competitors Kyoko and Yuki, who are also nominated in their category. They end up trapped in the middle of nowhere because Kyoko and Yuki turns out to be evil and so it's up to Spencer and Mrs. Benson to work together to save the trio and save the day. This episode shows that no matter what you can throw at iCarly, they will overcome it and it shows that Carly, Sam and Freddie are strongest together.
Carly Shay: So let's not give up now.
Freddie Benson: Well, what are we supposed to do?
Carly Shay: I don't know, but it's not helping for you guys keep talking about how hungry and miserable you are. We all know that your eye is black and throbbing and we all know you're starving. So let's forget that stuff and try to think positively, all right?
Sean: (Narrating) This episode is packed with tons of funny moments like Spencer and Mrs. Benson getting seaweed wrap treatments and they're trying to get out of the seaweed because they end up being trapped in because the people know Kyoko and Yuki and also Mrs. Benson having a chip implanted in Freddie's head to locate him and also the abuse towards Freddie is hilarious.
Freddie Benson: Hey, toss me an apple.
Sam Puckett: Red or green?
Freddie Benson: Red, 'cause green apples always…
(Sam throws an apple at Freddie's head, causing him to fall to the floor)
"God, I'm such a dick." Sean laughed.
Sean: (Narrating) We also have a cameo from Good Charlotte performing "Where Will We Be Now" and it's a great musical performance and I enjoyed it. Also, the French guy with the puppet is hilarious and I generally loved the reactions to a lot of people that they meet in Japan. You have some really funny and well-timed jokes. If you haven't seen this episode before, then go check it out. It's one of the show's must-sees
"Get it? "Sees" as in seas. Huh? Eh?" Sean asked.
"That joke sucked! Move on to the next episode!" Creddie Fan yelled out.
(Interlude to next episode)
Number 7: iDream of Dance (Season 1, Episode 3)
Sean: (Narrating) This is a very fun episode and this is one episode that's often overlooked. After watching a boring Scottish Highland dancer performing in Ms. Briggs' class which involves Carly, Sam and Freddie to show dance clips on iCarly and their fans send them over 3,000 videos. Wondering how they'll watch before the next show, they decide to watch 500 a night…
"Damn, that's a lot of videos to watch." Sean said.
Sean: (Narrating) ...but they end up falling asleep and they start having dance-related dreams.
(The school bell rings, drum beat begins as the school's staff and the students start dancing as jazzy dance music starts playing. Carly, Sam and Freddie try to head upstairs, but one of the students stop them and the students continue to dance while the trio are confused to what's going on)
Carly Shay: Okay, does someone wanna explain what's going on?
Freddie Benson: This is insane.
Sam Puckett: What's wrong with everybody?
Sean: (Narrating) What makes this episode very good and hilarious is the choreography. The dance scenes were choreographed by Lane Napper, who you might recognize him as the character Lane Alexander in Victorious, and he played one of the teachers in the gang's dream. Heck, we get to see Jennette McCurdy's dance skill in tap dancing for Sam's Highland dream.
(We see Sam tap dancing in her dream, with her unable to control her dancing)
Sam Puckett: Why am I pointing? What's with the bagpipes?! Who choreographed this?! Someone help me! Okay, why are we marching?! Let's… okay, whoa.
Sean: (Narrating) We also get the first appearance of Noah Munck as Gibby and he is hilarious as always, especially the bit where he runs in the classroom in his underwear.
(Gibby runs into the classroom in only his boxers)
Gibby: Am I too late for the test?
Sam Puckett: Get out of here, Gibby, this is my nightmare!
Sean: (Narrating) We also have a dream in which Freddie performs a dance battle with this kid named Zeke and he beats him in dancing and dreams that Carly becomes his girlfriend, plus Freddie's dancing is a parody of Michael Jackson's "Beat It".
"Ooh, let's not forget about that little Creddie moment where Carly falls asleep on Freddie." Creddie Fanboy said.
"Hey! Sam fell asleep on Freddie. That counts as a Seddie moment." Seddie Fanboy said.
"Oy." Sean said.
Sean: (Narrating) A fun little episode with some of the best choreography, dancing it's way to the number seven spot.
"Creddie has more chemistry than Seddie." Creddie Fanboy said.
"Bullshit! Seddie has more chemistry. Their kisses have more intensity." Seddie Fanboy said.
"No way. Have you seen Creddie's first kiss in iSaved Your Life? Their kiss was romantic." Creddie Fanboy said.
"And what about Seddie's kiss. Take a look at iOMG, their kiss has more intensity." Seddie Fanboy said.
Sean gets annoyed by the bickering of the Creddie Fanboy and Seddie Fanboy as he picks up his MP5 submachine gun from off of the floor and points it at the camera.
"Okay, in a few seconds you two are about to have a serious case of the second amendment crawling up your asses. Now, shut up and let me continue the countdown." Sean said.
(Interlude to next episode)
Number 6: iApril Fools (Season 6, Episode 1)
Sean: (Narrating) Okay, when you have an episode with a title like that, you know there's going to be some weird stuff going on in this episode. And man, it does get weird. Get a load of this opening, it starts off with the cast of iCarly letting the audience know that they're about to watch a very special episode of iCarly and that it's different, unusual, not for normal people and that we might find it disturbing while they're eating soup.
"And the award for Best Weirdest Opening goes to… iCarly!" Sean exclaimed while holding a superimposed award.
Sean: (Narrating) I mean, what a way to start the show's final season. But that's just the opening. Every weird moment you can just see happens in the episode. We see that Carly and Spencer are about to leave their apartment on April Fool's Day because they are being evicted by Mr. Bushwell after Spencer forgot to pay the rent and Carly accidentally stabs the guy.
Carly Shay: (Crying) I'm so sad. What a terrible way to spend April Fools' Day!
Spencer Shay: (Crying) This is the worst April Fools' Day ever!
Sean: (Narrating) The gang reflect on the good times that they shared in this apartment, like remembering one time where they were sitting on the couch watching an episode where the characters were doing flashbacks to past episodes, Gibby trying to pull an April Fools by hitting Spencer in the back of the head with a stop sign, T-Bo dressed as a genie, a flashback to when the gang first started iCarly and you have Jennette wearing a young Sam wig from season 1 and Freddie's hair is pretty funny and their memory is messed up when you have Spencer dressed as Ms. Briggs from another dimension and duels with the other Ms. Briggs and they both explode, there's also a funny bit where they are in the Victorious house and you have Matt Bennett as Gibby.
Spencer Shay: Hey… hey…
Robbie Shapiro (Played by Matt Bennett): (Looks at himself) Gibbeh?
Sam Puckett: (Sings) When I make it shine…
(The gang breaks the fourth wall by looking at the camera, then look at each other before looking back at the camera)
Sean: (Narrating) How can anyone not like a zany setup like this? It's fun, it's hilarious, it's just awesome. What saved this episode is the ending. And yeah, they do a little parody of the movie Back to the Future with Spencer dressed as Doc Brown and as a fan of Back to the Future… this was awesome. We also get a little reference to Head of the Class. Yeah, they reference a show that Dan Schneider was on. A fun little episode directed by Spencer himself, Jerry Trainor. If you love weird and unusual, then this is the episode for you.
Carly Shay: In the future, is iCarly still on in reruns?
Spencer Shay: Reruns? Where we're going, we don't need reruns.
"Ha. I love that bit." Sean chuckled.
(Interlude to next episode)
Number 5: iKiss (Season 2, Episode 8)
"Yes! Finally, you're going to talk about a Seddie episode!" Seddie Fanboy cheered.
Sean: (Narrating) Okay, just to make you Seddie fans happy, I'm going to talk about this episode and we all remember it for one thing: the Seddie kiss. In this episode, Sam gets her revenge on Freddie after he handcuffs her to Gibby. After discussing their first kisses, Freddie admits to Carly that he has never kissed anyone. Sam overhears this and she uses it to get revenge on him by blurting it out on iCarly.
Sam Puckett: Freddie has never kissed a girl. Never. Not once. I heard him say so myself and Carly is a witness. Okay. Later.
Sean: (Narrating) After that little incident, Freddie is mocked at school by the students and even a teacher and even the little kids too. Damn, that's harsh. Hell, Carly gets furious at Sam about humiliating Freddie and makes her feel guilty about this.
Carly Shay: You like, ruined his whole life and you don't even care.
Sam Puckett: All right. I'll go apologize.
Carly Shay: It doesn't even matter if you apologize, kids are still gonna give him a hard time 'cause you can't take back what you said.
Sam Puckett: Look, I didn't mean…
Carly Shay: You went too far this time. And you can't fix it.
Sean: (Narrating) What can I say about this episode, this was a cute little episode. I just love how Sam tries to fix the mistake that she made and help Freddie is touching and it makes me enjoy that episode. And I love for the fact that Sam admits that she never kissed anyone. Even though I'm a huge Creddie fan, I'm just glad that Freddie's first kiss was with Sam. The episode had some funny moments like Spencer trying out for the football team and "Kelly Cooper: Terrible Movie". This is a funny touching episode that you will definitely enjoy.
Freddie Benson: Hey, I hate you. (Smiles at Sam)
Sam Puckett: (Chuckles) Hate you too.
Sean: (Narrating) And speaking of kisses….
(Interlude to next episode)
Number 4: iSaved Your Life (Season 3, Episode 9)
Sean: (Narrating) Considered to be one of the best episodes of the show and one of the greatest highlights ever. In this episode, Freddie saves Carly's life and he ends up getting injured by a taco truck.
Sam Puckett: Freddie's hurt!
Spencer Shay: Wait, what happened?
Sam Puckett: Carly was crossing the street and a big taco truck came around the corner and Carly didn't see the truck and so Freddie ran out and pushed Carly out of the way…
Spencer Shay: Is Carly okay?
Sam Puckett: Yes, she's fine but Freddie got hit.
Sean: (Narrating) And it doesn't stop there like as Freddie is laying in bed and all hurt up and Carly has survivor skills. And she is grateful that Freddie saved her life and then we get this little moment right here.
Carly Shay: You know, everyone at school is saying you're a hero.
Freddie Benson: I don't feel like a hero.
Carly Shay: Well, you are one… to me.
(Carly leans in and kisses Freddie)
Sean: (Narrating) And because of Freddie saving her life and her kissing him, Creddie finally become a couple….
"YES!" Creddie Fanboy cheered out.
"But…" Sean said.
"But what?" Creddie Fanboy asked.
Sean: (Narrating) Later in the episode, Sam tells Freddie the hard truth and she isn't doing this because she's Sam and she's a bully, she's doing this to protect him.
Sam Puckett: She's not in love with you. She's in love with what you did.
Freddie Benson: You just can't stand the idea of Carly and me as a couple.
Sam Puckett: Very true. It makes me want to puke up blood.
"Yeah, same here." Seddie Fanboy said.
"Don't tempt me, Seddie Fanboy." Sean said while holding his MP5 submachine gun.
Sean: (Narrating) And spoiler alert: Carly and Freddie end up breaking up because Carly doesn't love Freddie for who he is and that's pretty understandable and we see Freddie making the mature decision. Now, I know that a lot of shows do this thing where two characters can't be together, but this has a very good reason why they can't be together. The romance story between Carly and Freddie was well-written even with the subplot involving Sam and Spencer playing a game called "Assassin" and it's pretty hilarious seeing Sam and Spencer trying to take each other out with a paintball. My favorite scene from the subplot was where Gibby accidentally thinks that Spencer is dressed as a rabbi and Sam shoots him, turns out the guy is a real rabbi. And then we get this part.
Gibby: (Fixes his hair) How's my hair, Sam?
Sam Puckett: You look good, Gib.
(Sam shoots Gibby in the head with a paintball)
Sean: (Narrating) Fun fact: this episode is the highest-viewed episode of iCarly. I love that the fact that Carly isn't being shallow in the episode, she has survivor skills. She's the reason Freddie got hurt. There's also an extended version of the episode with additional scenes. And I'm sure that they have the extended version on DVD. It's the perfect love story between Carly and Freddie, even if you don't ship Creddie.
Seddie Fanboy: (Yells) CREDDIE SUCKS!
"Ugh!" Sean exclaimed, making a disgusted look on his face.
(Interlude to next episode)
Number 3: iNevel (Season 1, Episode 6)
Sean: (Narrating) You know that being evil is never a good thing. That is what people want you to believe. But if this episode isn't an example of how being so comically over the top evil isn't an amazing thing, then I don't know what is. In this classic episode, some Regina George wannabe tells Carly and her friends that their show must be lame since there is no review on the site called . Carly arranges to be interviewed by the web critic Nevel, who happens to be a little kid.
"A little kid who's site gets over five million page-views per day." Sean said.
Sean: (Narrating) And he starts interviewing Carly and tries to flirt with her.
Nevel Papperman (Played by Reed Alexander): Hand sanitizer?
Carly Shay: Uhhh…
Nevel Papperman: Do you know that trillions of germs are living on your hand-skin right now?
Carly Shay: Really?
(Nevel nods his head. We then cut to Nevel sniffing Carly's hair)
Nevel Papperman: Kiwi Salon with jasmine, for normal to dry hair.
Carly Shay: Wow, you have an amazing nose.
Sean: (Narrating) And let's not forget that he kissed Carly on the cheek and she retaliates by smearing tapenade on his face and then he says this classic line.
Nevel Papperman: You shouldn't have done that, Carly Shay! You'll rue this day! You'll rue it!
Sean: (Narrating) It's a great episode, not just the fact that it's one of the best episodes of the show's first season, but we're introduced to Nevel Papperman played brilliantly by Reed Alexander and he has some of the best lines ever. He's the best part of the show and I get a laugh every time I see Nevel appear on an episode. I especially love his line right after he sees Spencer's butter sculpture of Mr. Toasty.
Nevel Papperman: (Sees the butter sculpture) What is that?
Spencer Shay: Oh, I'm an artist. I'm making a sculpture out of butter.
Nevel Papperman: Hmm. Your work disgusts me.
Sean: (Narrating) An episode chock full of hilarious jokes, you'll rue this day if you haven't seen it.
Nevel Papperman: Ya feel the rue? Ya feel it?!
(Nevel runs out of the studio)
(Interlude to next episode)
Number 2: iShock America (Season 6, Episode 7)
Sean: (Narrating) Originally known as "iLove Jimmy Fallon", this episode deals with Jimmy Fallon doing his thank you segment on his show and Carly and the gang see this and he watches iCarly. They do a spoof of his show and Jimmy calls them to invite them on his show.
Jimmy Fallon: So listen, I dunno if you guys would be up for it, but ya wanna come to New York and be guests on my show?
Freddie Benson: New York?!
Carly Shay: Us?!
Sam Puckett: You're inviting all of us to be on your show?!
Jimmy Fallon: True chiz. You guys in or what?
Sean: (Narrating) The iCarly gang head on down to New York and while they are there, Gibby ends up buying some street pants for 3 bucks after the airline loses his luggage. Then, they appear on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" and they do this bit called "Randomly Dancing with Your Hat and Gloves Off", then this happens.
(During the bit, Gibby's pants falls off as the audience, the people at the Groovy Smoothie, T-Bo, Mrs. Benson, Spencer, Jimmy and everyone look in shock)
Gibby: What?
(Gibby looks down and sees that his pants are off)
Gibby: Gibbehh!
(Carly moves in front of Gibby to cover him up)
Sean: (Narrating) Let's just say that Gibby danced his pants off and "Gibby Jr." was shown on live television.
Spencer Shay: I think it was very wrong and bad that all of America… (Tries not to laugh) That all of America… saw Gibby's danger zone. (Breaks down laughing) I'm a child.
Sean: (Narrating) And because of that little incident, the iCarlys end up in front of the NCC, a parody of the FCC, which fines them $500, 000. So they have to pay the fine, if not then the NCC will end up shutting them down. This episode was funny with a bunch of hilarious running gags like Carly puking into Questlove's hat and the NCC guy's hat, Spencer's run-in with the bike messenger and the Screaming Mel doll. There's also a little scene parodying Seinfeld, and as a huge Seinfeld fan, I laughed my head off when I saw Carly, Sam, Freddie, Gibby and Spencer sitting in the diner and you have Freddie and Spencer doing their impressions of George and Kramer. It was the best highlight of the episode and especially the Seinfeld-esqe theme. It's a great episode that will bring home the laughs.
(Spencer runs out of the bathroom in only a bathrobe while holding a towel that's on fire as he tries to put it out)
Carly Shay: Okay, how could you start a fire in the shower?
Spencer Shay: You tell me! Geez!
"Now, before we get to the number 1 episode on the list, here are a few runners up." Sean said.

(Interlude to next episode)
Sean: (V/O) And the number one best iCarly episode of all time is…
(The title screen for the episode iGoodbye is shown)
Number 1: iGoodbye (Season 6, Episode 13)
Sean: (Narrating) This is just the perfect episode, the perfect finale to this show. And I wouldn't lie to you when I say that every time I watch this episode, I get a little teary-eyed when I watch it. In this episode, Carly is expecting her father to arrive in Seattle to escort her to the father-daughter dance, but she gets a message from him that he's unable to come. To comfort his sister, Spencer asks to escort her to the dance and she accepts. But before the dance, Lewbert sneezes on Spencer and he is unable to escort Carly to the dance and that bums her out.
Carly Shay: It was the last father-daughter Air Force dance I can ever go to… and my dad couldn't take me… and then Spencer got sick… and now I'm gonna spend my Saturday night sitting here in this super-cute dress, all dolled up, licking lumpy cake batter off a spatula, and we don't even have frosting.
Sean: (Narrating) Aside from that, you have Spencer and Sam working on a motorcycle for Socko, but Sam ends up keeping it after he no longer needs it after he got into a fight with his cousin Ryder, Freddie getting a new phone that's twice the size of a regular phone and gets teased by people about it and Gibby gets his head stuck in a machine. Don't worry, it's a long story. Aside from the humor in this episode, it's also heartfelt as well. You got some great heartfelt moments like Spencer giving Sam the motorcycle, Carly saying her goodbyes to her friends and Spencer. But the best highlight of the episode was when we finally see Carly's father and we get the best entrance ever.
Col. Steven Shay (Played by David Chisum): Not even me?
(Carly hears her father's voice and looks up at her friends. She then turns around and sees him standing in the apartment and smiles)
Carly Shay: Dad!
(Carly runs over to her father and hugs him)
Col. Steven Shay: Hey, snug bug.
Sam Puckett: Oh, my God.
Freddie Benson: How great is that?
Gibby: So Spencer's not her dad.
Carly Shay: You guys, it's my dad!
Sean: (Narrating) Yeah, it brings a smile to my face every time I watch that scene and I love Spencer's reaction to seeing his father. Aside from Carly's father arriving, Carly's father informs everybody that he has to return to his base in Italy, which disappoints Carly, so he asks her to come with him to Italy. We get the last iCarly show in which Carly's father is the special guest and I just love his reaction to seeing Baby Spencer. Colonel Shay's portrayer David Chisum cracks me up with this line.
Col. Steven Shay: Oh my God, this freaks me out. Y'know, I paid to put this kid through law school?
Sean: (Narrating) We also get a scene where Carly and Freddie kiss before she leaves for Italy. And it was a really cute moment. I would talk a lot about the episode but you've seen the episode. This is a finale that filled with laughs and heartwarming moments and bring some tissues because you will cry from watching the episode. It's the perfect ending to a great series… until the revival series coming in June. If you haven't seen the episode, then go watch it now… and bring tissues!
Freddie Benson: (V/O) And… we're clear.
"And those are my Top 11 iCarly episodes. One of the best Dan Schneider shows ever! Now before I go, I…" Sean said.
"Wait! Aren't you going to talk about the Top 11 Creddie moments?" Creddie Fanboy asked.
"What about the Top 11 Seddie moments?" Seddie Fanboy asked.
"What about those two?" Sean asked.
"Yeah." Creddie Fanboy and Seddie Fanboy said.
"Glad that you've asked. Now, here's what I'm going to say about that and here's the answer… suck it. Creddie and Seddie are both good and it doesn't matter who you ship. If you ship both, then it's fine. And until then, why don't you two just get a life? I'm Sean the Mayhem Critic and I'll see you guys next time." Sean said before leaving the room.
Seddie Fanboy: (V/O) But what about Sam? Will she be in the reboot?
Creddie Fanboy: (V/O) No, Jennette McCurdy quit acting. You got another character replacing Sam in the reboot named Harper.
Seddie Fanboy: (V/O) But I want Sam.
Mayhem Critic Tagline: Ya feel the rue? Ya feel it?!
And that's all for another Top 11 countdown. I hope that you all like my picks for the best episodes. If you have any favorite episodes of iCarly, then let me know in the comments. Anyway, we're gonna move from Top 11 countdowns to another movie review when Sean the Mayhem Critic takes a look at one of the greatest action/adventure films ever made. And that film, my friends, is the 1981 film Raiders of the Lost Ark in honor of it's 40th anniversary coming up. After the Raiders review, Commercials VI is coming up after that. Get ready for some more commercials. Anyway, feel free to leave a comment, follow this story for future updates and add it to your favorites. If you want to tag along for a review, feel free to PM me. Aside from this story, I will be working on my iCarly/Victorious crossover one-shot The Clients featuring Sam Puckett, Jade West and Beck Oliver. I'll see you guys next time. Till next time, my fellow readers.
