Why had Lavender Brown been sorted into Gryffindor?
Throughout school, she was known for her airheadedness, gossip network, and the romance with Won-Won. Lavender always seemed to be in motion, whether scrying a crystal ball or duelling in the DA. She was close with Parvati Patil, but merely acquaintances with the rest. None of this made evident Lavender's House traits.
In the Great Hall, bloody lines scoring her otherwise pretty face, lay a Lavender unknown to most. Wand still defiantly clutched in stiffened fingers, Lavender looked every inch a Lion. Hermione recounted to stunned listeners Lavender's final stand, and fall.
