A.N. — Breaking up a slew of Quidditch-related drabbles with this one. That should clue you in that tomorrow's installment touches on the sport as well. Today's character, though, is decidedly non-athletic. Nor is he even human.
127. Fang
It was strange for a dog to be an abject coward...until one realized said dog shared a castle with Mrs. Norris.
Fang was never seen chasing cats, no, just the opposite. The only time any could recall seeing the boarhound move fast was if he was fleeing from some perceived danger. Not even food could motivate the lumbering black beast to quicken his sedate pace.
Hagrid, though, could make Fang's heart match his size. It was for him that Fang took a stunner, for him he battled to defend his home. They were giants in stature, but softies in aggression.
