Chapter 127th

Walking down the hall of the floor for ICU. She had walked these halls too many times over the years. Her feet were hurting her for the most part has been working a lot of hours today with the different sessions with her patients.

She walked in front of Gibbs's room before knocking on the door to hear the usual response from Gibbs to enter. She walked in with her patient sitting up looking better than expected after getting shot in the right leg once again.

"Hello Doctor Confalone. I am sorry to have dragged you here this evening?" he said with trying to cause a fight with the woman.

"I am here on your behalf Special Agent Gibbs. So tell me just what the hell is going on with you?" she said with slight annoyance.

"Why is it that I am always making the wrong decision with running into a situation for where I land myself into the hospital Doc?" he needed to take in a deep breath into his lungs.

"That's a good question, Gibbs. However, maybe it's something that you're trying to prove something with yourself and you want NCIS to believe in you still after all of these years?" she needed to say.

"I don't want anything from NCIS except to do my job and that's it and needing my team to be able to do there's as well." he cried out with his response.

"Look why is it that you're always bringing up your team when in fact they don't care about you as a man?" this wasn't making any sense to his brain.

"Of course they care Doctor or else they wouldn't be with the job after all this time."

"That might be true. But look at each of your agents on how much they had suffered due to your actions during the past few years and I mean it Special Agent Gibbs." she quipped for the most part.

"One thing I am not is perfect Doc and I don't condone my actions because of what had happened. Especially with me shooting McGee, Losing Sloane, Breena, and Emily dying along with all of the other crap. The only good thing is meeting up with Loreile at the SECNAV celebration." he cried out.

"Boy! Tonight you're really on a roll Leroy Jethro Gibbs?" she states with writing a note onto the yellow pad.

"No doubt Doc. I am just sick and tire of all of the crap for when it comes to me getting hurt. The politics of NCIS with Director Leon Vance and so much more that had built up." he shifted in his bed with his right leg spasming slightly with the movement.

"Are you alright Jethro?" using his middle name.

"I can handle it Doctor since I have been shot in the leg a number of times over the years," he responded.

"That may be true Gibbs. However, each and every time does tend to get harder to recover from the damage done to your body. It's now time for your retirement before you put yourself into the ground?" Point blank range with her comments.

"I don't know what to say that comment of yours Doc?" he expressed himself with a deep breath.

"When in this case I need for you to continue on about the dreams before I end this with you?" she cries out with putting down her yellow pad onto the table.

"Fine. Once again all I do feel is the fact I have a feeling that I am going to be in that position again being captured and torture like I first was in Paraguay with McGee and then later on. I have no idea who it might be since I am unable to see their faces in the recent dreams and nightmares. It just upsets me greatly doctor to be going through this again and upset Loreile as well in her condition."

"Meaning carrying you've third child?" she hissed slightly with the question.

"Of course our third child. What are you trying to implied doctor?" he was angry right now with the response.

"Nothing Gibbs. I am just glad that you're able to start a family with the woman you love in your later years before hanging it up from NCIS. No doubt financially you're both set for the future?" she asks with getting into his personal business further.

"We are in many ways, Doctor. We won't starve at all. And ever since we won that money at the casinos of late. Most of the money was won by Loreile on the slots. She had won a lot for which we don't have to pay taxes since it was taken out by the casinos. I have my pension, 401 K, savings and credit, along with two special accounts that I haven't touched for 34 years."

"Kelly's account?" she said to him with tears falling down his face being emotional all of a sudden.

"Yeah," he said before becoming quiet for a few moments with the session. "Would you like to stop talking now Gibbs?" she didn't wish to push him any further with the chat.

"I rather end it now Doctor and with setting up another possible session in a few days depending on things are going with my health," he responded with her getting up to pack up her things.

"Call me when you're ready Special Agent Gibbs?" she said with getting ready to leave his room and home finally.

"I will doc," he says with turning on the TV to see what was on right now.

She headed for the elevator down the hall. Even though she was thinking a lot about Gibbs and the way he was feeling. He was a real mess again with his mental state. She reached the elevator as she took in a deep breath before walking inside to finally relax after such a long day for her.
