It was late at night in the town of Juuban. At the cherry blossom grounds close to the Hikawa Shrine, Sailor Moon stood in front of Solaris, Luna, Artemis, readying herself.

"All right! I'm going to do it this time!" said Sailor Moon. "I'm going to soar like an eagle!"

"Try not to botch it up this time, Usagi," said Luna. "Otherwise, you'll end up falling flat on your face like the other times."

"No need to rub it in, Luna!" huffed Sailor Moon.

"Stay focused, Usagi," said Solaris. "Remember what I've been teaching you. Focus the energy inside of you, and try to imagine yourself having that energy shoot from the bottoms of your feet."

Sailor Moon closed her eyes tightly and concentrated as hard as she could, using every bit of her focus as her body began to glow slightly. A few seconds had passed, and her body stopped glowing. Then, very slowly, Sailor Moon started to float upward, much to the amazement and delight of the others. Sailor Moon peeked through one eye, and when she saw what was happening, she was delighted.

"Hey! Look at me! I'm doing it!" Sailor Moon cried happily. "I'm flying! I'm really flying!"

"That's very good, Usagi!" called out Solaris. "But remember to stay focused and use your energy to move around."

Sailor Moon then floated forward to her right and floated around feeling pleased with herself until Sailor Chibi Moon came shooting past like a rocket.

"Whoops! Sorry about that, Usagi!" apologized Sailor Chibi Moon.

Then, Sailor Jupiter came shooting by. "Coming through!" she called.

Sailor Jupiter went past so quickly; Sailor Moon was spun around like a top making her very dizzy. Then, after taking a moment to recollect herself, Sailor Moon was about to yell when Sailor Mars and Sailor Venus came whizzing past her.

"Sorry, Usagi! Didn't see you there!" said Sailor Venus.

"Hey! Why don't you watch where you're going!" Sailor Moon yelled crossly.

"You're the one that's getting in the way," pointed out Sailor Mars. "Maybe you should learn how to move out of the way."

"Why do you have to be so mean, Rei?!" Sailor Moon snapped. "Maybe you need to get your eyes checked!"

Sailor Moon then tried to follow Sailor Mars to teach her a lesson while the other guardians flew around to test their powers, and Solaris and the cats watched from the ground.

"Those girls have soaked up your lessons like a sponge, Harusuke," said Artemis. "Even Usagi's gotten the hang of flying now, and this only took a couple of days."

"Yup. Hopefully, this will give us an advantage in battle," said Solaris. "And this should make things easier for us if we ever need to get somewhere fast."

All of the Sailor Guardians eventually came down from their flight, and everyone reverted to their civilian forms while taking a break.

"Well done, girls. Now that you've gotten a grasp of flying, you all can get a little private practice when you have time," said Harusuke. "Just remember everything that I taught you."

"Thanks a bunch, Harusuke. We really appreciate it," said Chibiusa. "You don't make a half-bad teacher."

"Yeah. Thanks to you teaching us how to fly, things'll be a lot more convenient for us now," said Rei.

The others concurred in agreement, everyone that was except for Ami, who had been quiet for quite some time while appearing to be deep in thought.

"Is something the matter, Ami?" asked Usagi.

Ami looked up. "Oh. Forgive me. I was thinking is all," she said. "I guess I'm still a bit shaken up after what we found out the other day."

"You're telling me," said Makoto. "I'll say this much. Things have gotten so complicated; I still can't believe that Mugen Academy is the base of the Death Busters,"

"That Yui Bidou girl being a member of the Witches 5," cut in Minako. "And to add to that, Haruka and Michiru turning out to be Sailor Uranus and Neptune."

"That's not what I'm worried about," said Ami. "It's about my fight with Viluy. She was so powerful and overwhelmed me so easily. I couldn't do anything against her, and yet Sailor Uranus, or rather Haruka, was able to defeat her in seconds. I'm too weak, and I feel useless."

"Don't beat yourself, Ami," soothed Harusuke. "The important thing was that you came out of that battle alive, and thanks to you, we found out a lot of information about the enemy."

"Yes, but still. I wish I could have been a bit stronger and had my Planet Powers unlocked," said Ami. "At least then, I wouldn't have been so easily defeated."

"Come on, Ami. You'll get stronger before you know it," Minako spoke kindly while giving Ami a comforting squeeze. "So, please don't feel bad."

"Yeah, and you'll get your Planet Powers one day," said Usagi. "Besides, while you don't have them yet, there's one power of yours that's as strong as any power, and that's your brainpower."

"Wow, Usagi actually said something helpful," chuckled Rei. "No matter how many times it happens, it's still out of character for you. You sure you're not an alien from another planet, Usagi?"

Usagi's cheeks puffed up in an angry pout. "Shut up, Rei! You know I'm not!" she scowled crossly.

Everyone laughed, even Ami.

"Why don't we all go home now?" suggested Artemis. "It's getting late, and you guys have school tomorrow."

Everyone then started for home, but as they did, while Ami had cheered up a little, she still felt a bit sad on the inside, wondering if she would ever get strong enough when the time came.

Meanwhile, at Mugen Academy, Yui Bidou, aka Viluy, was alone in her classroom busily at work, typing away on her computer. Her fingers danced away at the keyboard as she furiously scanned through one program after another, transferring it to her Nanocuff while it was connected. Finally, after a few minutes, her device let out a beep, signaling that the programming was complete.

"There. Now my Nanobots will be stronger than ever before," Yui spoke in triumph as she remembered back to the previous battle. "I'll admit it, I miscalculated. I didn't expect Sailor Uranus and Neptune to show up, and to add to that, reveal their true identities. I was lucky to make it out of there alive."

She typed away on her computer and pulled up the profiles of both Haruka and Michiru.

"So, Haruka Tenoh and Michiru Kaioh, also known as Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune," Viluy thought to herself. "Those two have become quite the thorns at my side, but none of them are like her." She then pulled up a profile of a certain blue-haired girl. "I'll admit it, allowing her to come to Mugen was my biggest blunder. She's seen and knows too much, and if Magus Kaolinite or Master Pharoh 90 were to find out..."

A small bead of sweat of feat trickled down Viluy's brow as she shuddered, however, she remained confident.

"I must eliminate Ami Mizuno before anyone has a chance of finding out about this, and I know just where to start looking for her, as well as the perfect plan."

The next day at Juuban Middle School, Usagi was rushing to the usual meet-up spot in the classroom where Harusuke, Ami, and Makoto were waiting for her. She was excited.

"Ami! You did it again! I saw the national practice exam results!" Usagi panted. "You got another perfect score!"

"Way to go, Ami," congratulated Makoto. "Once again, you're at the top of the exams."

Ami sheepishly blushed. "Thank you, but I wasn't the only student who was perfect," she said humbly. "There's bound to be some others too."

"Don't be so modest," said Harusuke. "You studied hard, and look at the fruits of your labor. You inspire me to study hard too."

Just then, the four then heard a commotion coming from outside of the classroom. Curious about what was going on, the teens peeked outside in time to see their classmates run past them and join two crowds of others standing outside some classrooms. Wondering what the fuss was about, Usagi and her group came over and peeked inside the classrooms as well. When they did, they were surprised to find that the classroom was filled with students diligently studying, but they weren't wearing their school uniforms. Some were from Mugen, while others were from different schools.

"You seeing this?" Harusuke spoke in surprise. "They're all from different schools."

"But what are they doing here?" asked Makoto. "Last I checked, this wasn't their school."

Usagi then saw Umino, who happened to be a few feet away, staring inside too. "Hey! Umino! Do you have any idea what's going on?" she asked.

Umino then came over. "Well, you know that Mugen Academy is hosting the national practice exam?" he said. "Well, there's going to be a lot of people showing up there, and the classrooms are filling up, so I heard that the teachers decided to send some of the students from Mugen here so that they can study here along with some other people."

"So that explains it," said Harusuke. "One thing's for sure, they're sure are serious about studying."

"I'll say. It's almost like they're possessed or something," commented Makoto. "It's starting to make me a bit uncomfortable."

"Now, now, don't judge them too harshly," chided Ami. "They're just studying hard, so they can follow their dreams. Nothing wrong with that."

"They're studying hard to follow their dreams, huh?" Usagi repeated, heaving a sigh. "In comparison to them, I must look like a lazy bum."

"You should have thought about that before, Sis," said Harusuke. "It's kind of late to be regretting it now."

"Come on, Harusuke! That was your queue to tell me I'm not a lazy bum!" Usagi huffed. "What kind of brother are you?!"

The others couldn't help but laugh. At that moment, a female Mugen student made their way from the crowd and came up to the group. She had short black hair and wore glasses.

"Excuse me, miss," she said while giving Ami a light tap on her shoulder. "May I have a moment?"

Ami turned around. "Yes? May I help you?" she asked.

"First, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Lily Vildou, and I'm from Mugen Academy," the girl introduced. "And you must be Ami Mizuno, the girl who always scores so well on the practice exams. In fact, you and I had the same test scores on the last national exam, if I recall."

"Hold on! You tied with Ami on that exam, too?!" exclaimed Usagi. "That's amazing!"

Lily looked across to Usagi. "And who might you be?" she asked. "A friend of hers, perhaps?"

Usagi sheepishly scratched her cheek. "Oh, I'm nobody important. Just a good friend of hers."

"Ah, if you're Mizuno's friend, then I bet you must study hard with her every day, don't you?" said Lily. "So, what's your best subject at school?"

Usagi gulped, her face turning bright red in embarrassment. "I'm good at mapping and eating lunch!" she said with confidence.

Ami, Harusuke, and Makoto all stared at Usagi, utterly speechless at her response. Even Lily was silent.

"Hey, teen years are supposed to be fun, you know!" Usagi said defensively. "There's more to life than constant studying!"

"Oh, you're quite the kidder, aren't you?" said Lily, not bothering to pay attention. She turned to Ami. "Say, Ms. Mizuno, I seem to have lost my way around this school trying to find my designated classroom to study, so I was hoping that you could show me the way if you wouldn't mind."

"Well, sure," said Ami. "I don't mind at all."

"You sure you don't want us to come with you?" Harusuke asked. "We can go together."

"That won't be necessary," smiled Lily. "I'll be fine with just Ami."

And before anyone could say anything, Lily had grabbed Ami by the hand and pulled her along, disappearing into the crowd of students along with her.

"What was that all about?" asked Makoto.

No one had a clue.

Ami and Lily walked down the halls looking around for Lily's classroom until they soon came to a computer lab.

"Thank you so much for showing me the way, Ami," thanked Lily. "I appreciate it."

"It's no problem," said Ami. "Happy to help."

"Say, as thanks for your help, why don't I show you something?" asked Lily. "I promise it'll only take a minute."

Ami was puzzled. But then, Lily led her to a computer, where a strange dome rested. She dug into her pocket and took out a floppy disk. She inserted it into the computer, and a program started to boot up, showing a series of code. Then, there was a chime, and the projector began to whirr to life as a bright light shone from it, showing a picture of the solar system.

Ami was amazed.

"Isn't it beautiful? The science class made it per my instructions. I brought it over here to work out a few bugs," said Lily. "Our school is divided into five departments: Philosophy, Performing Arts, Physical Fitness, Professional, and Science. In addition to the regular teaching staff at Mugen, students with high grades are also instructors and teach classes at Mugen Academy, which is why I teach the science class."

Ami was now surprised. "You teach students even though you're a student yourself?" she asked.

"Of course," Lily spoke snootily. "Anyone who gets high grades can become teachers themselves. It's what makes our academy so unique and special. After all, those with high grades of their major are considered to be above other students, elite and special, while others are considered... inadequate."

"But having high grades doesn't mean that you're above everyone else," pointed out Ami while feeling a bit put off. "And for that matter, it doesn't necessarily mean that you'll become a good teacher."

Lily's brow rose at this.

"To be a good instructor, you not only need to understand the subject but also understand the feelings of the students, even those who aren't doing well," Ami went on. "That way, they can improve and enjoy learning."

Lily let out a haughty harumph. "How naive. Logic is all that's required in science or any other class for that matter," she said. "There's no need to care about the feelings of others."

Ami was now cross. "Well, I think you're wrong," she said firmly. "Even science benefits and requires the warmth of an empathetic human heart."

"My, my. What silly notions unbecoming of someone who had the best score in the nation," Lily spoke with arrogance. "Perhaps they made a mistake."

Before Ami could answer, the door opened, and Harusuke, Usagi, and Makoto peered in.

"There you are, Ami," said Harusuke. "We were looking for you. Class is about to start."

Usagi then noticed the tense atmosphere. "Are we interrupting something?" she asked.

"No. In fact, I was just leaving," said Ami curtly. "Sorry to have wasted your time, Lily."

"It's no problem," Lily spoke politely. "Perhaps I'll be seeing you later, warm-hearted Mizuno."

Ami then turned on her heel and walked swiftly away with Harusuke and Usagi following. No sooner than when they both left the room, Lily smirked as an evil cackle escaped her throat.

"Yes, Ami Mizuno, or should I say Sailor Mercury," she said to herself. "I'll be seeing you soon enough."

She turned to her computer and took off her disguise, revealing herself as Viluy. Then took a cord from it and connected to her wrist band, and began to type away on her computer, her fingers pressing five keys per second."

"By now, the entire school should be in their classes right now," Viluy said to herself. "With my nanobots hacking the systems, I'll be able to take the entire school hostage and take all of their pure hearts and their hosts! And then, I'll see to it that girl experiences hell as I wring the life out of her and offer her body to Master Phaoroh 90!"

Ami and the Tsukino siblings were walking down the hall, heading to their classrooms. Ami was still feeling cross about what Lily had said to her.

The others couldn't help but notice. "Ami? Is something the matter?" he asked.

"I-It's nothing, Harusuke. I'm fine," replied Ami.

"You sure about that? Because you've got quite the angry look going on in your eyes," said Makoto. "Did that Lily girl say something to you?"

Ami's scowl lessened. "Well, I guess you could say that she did," she said meekly. "It's just that she believes that logic not only makes a person superior to people, but emotions are a nuisance in the pursuit of science."

"Well, that seemed a little mean of her," said Harusuke.

"Yes, but if I'm honest, I can't help but wonder if what she said was true," said Ami. "She even called me naive for believing that way. I know I love learning about things, and I truly believe that emotions should matter, but does that make me naive for thinking that way?"

"I don't think so," said Usagi. "I mean, if you didn't have your emotions, that would make you a robot of some kind. I may not be a genius like you, but I think emotions can be just as important as being smart."

"Same with me," agreed Harusuke. "And that doesn't make you naive either. On the contrary, it makes you not only smart but also a human that cares."

Ami was silent for a few seconds as she thought about what the Tsukino siblings said to her. Then, suddenly, there was a cacophony of screams of pain from all of the classrooms. The teens jumped in surprise and quickly rushed over to the classrooms to see what was happening, only to have a terrible sight meet their eyes. All of the students inside of the classrooms were on the floor unconscious, their pure hearts hovering above them.

"Oh, no! Their pure heart crystals!" cried Harusuke.

"It's got to be Death Busters!" cried Makoto. "They must have gotten into our school somehow!"

"What should we do then?" asked Usagi.

"Obviously, someone around here is attacking our classmates," said Ami. "We have to find that person and stop them!"

"In that case, let's split up!" said Harusuke. "Ami and I will go and look for the enemy, Mako, Usagi, you two contact the others, and we'll meet up later!"

"Right!" said the girls.

And so, Ami and Harusuke went down one way, and Usagi and Makoto went the other.

Ami and Harusuke ran down the halls rushing back towards their classroom to search for the enemy. But as they approached a classroom, the door opened, and a giant cloud came shooting and heading straight towards them. Reacting quickly, Ami and Harusuke hit the floor as the cloud shot past them.

"What the heck was that?" exclaimed Harusuke.

"I don't know, but whatever it was, that's what must be attacking the others!" said Ami.

"How very observant of you, Ms. Mizuno," said a voice.

Ami and Harusuke looked up, and they couldn't believe their eyes, for standing before them was Viluy.

"No way! It can't be!" Ami gasped.

"You seem surprised to see me, Ami Mizuno," said Viluy. "I can't imagine why. I wasn't going to let you get away after seeing what you did back at Mugen. Surely you do realize that I simply can't let you live?" She held out her hand, and her bracelet began to shine. "Now! MOSIAC BUSTER!"

She unleashed a ring of transparent light, intending to encase the girl in a barrier of nanobots.

"Ami! Watch out!" Harusuke yelled as he pushed Ami out of the way.

As he did, he took the full force of the Mosiac Buster, encasing him in a barrier of electricity and nanobots, making it cry out in pain as he was attacked.

"No! Harusuke!" cried Ami.

"Ami! You need to run!" Harusuke cried while wincing in pain. "Get out of here while you still can!"

"What are you talking about?! I can't just leave you!" Ami spoke defiantly. "Don't worry! I'll get you out of this somehow!"

"What a foolish boy risking his life to save yours," scoffed Viluy. "That kind of illogical thinking just cost him his life. Either way, all he did was delay the inevitable. Either way, you along with him will die here!"

"That's what you think!" barked Ami as she took out her transformation wand. "MERCURY STAR POWER MAKE UP!"

Transformation Sequence: Ami

Ami holds up her hand as blue sparkles swirl around it, alighting her fingernails, turning them into a shade of bright blue. Her transformation stick appears spinning, and she takes hold of it, the star on end as well as the symbol glowing. The logo on it begins to turn, enveloping Ami in blue light. Then she sweeps the pen over her head as a stream of sparkling blue water begins to emit from it, forming her leotard, boots, and gloves. A sparkling ripple, as well as a flurry of bubbles, expands over her body, creating a small mist of water that formed the rest of her uniform the same as Sailor Moon's but the center bow, boots, and rims on the gloves were blue and bright blue. She turns around and then strikes her signature pose.

"Are you sure you want to fight me?" Viluy smirked with confidence. "The last time we fought, you didn't stand a chance against me. Allow me to remind you! MOSIAC BUSTER!"

She then unleashed another blast of electricity, but Sailor Mercury countered by using her signature attack, spinning around while droplets of water swirled around her.

"MERCURY SHINE AQUA ILLUSION!"

The droplets then formed into a powerful torrent of water which not only canceled out her attack but also blasted the barrier encasing Solaris, freezing the nanobots and setting him free. Seeing as he was free, Harusuke immediately exposed his bracelet and transformed.

"SOLAR CRYSTAL POWER SHINE ON!"

Transformation Sequence: Solaris (Post Crystal)

Harusuke's hand waves over the Sunstone Crystal, and it began to pulse with light until it shines brightly. Harusuke, now shrouded in light, holds his hand with the Sunstone Crystal up high and throws his fist to the floor, and his symbol appears beneath him. Light encases his legs from his feet to his hips, and in a burst of light, his boots, along with his belt and some additional armor on his thighs, materialize. Then his right encompasses his right arm from hand to shoulder, and his gloves, along with some armor, appear, and the same happens to his left hand. Harusuke then punches his fists together, creating a spark of light, and crosses his arms as his chest is wrapped in light. Harusuke then throws his arms out, and his chest plate appears, the symbol in the middle glowing brightly. Finally, his helmet appears on his head, this time covering up his entire head, leaving his face exposed. Harusuke opens his eyes smiling with confidence, his transformation now complete, and assumes his signature pose, with the sun appearing in the background while his symbol overlapped it.

"Sailor Mercury! We have to get outside!" said Solaris. "Otherwise, we'll be at a disadvantage here!"

Sailor Mercury answered with a nod, and the two immediately jumped out of the window, hoping to gain an advantage, but Viluy was quick to capitalize.

"Nice try, but it's useless," she smirked as she pressed a button on her wristband.

Immediately, the frozen nanobots broke free from the ice and swirled around both of the Guardians encasing them in barriers that ate away at their bodies. Both of the Guardians screamed in agony as they fell to the ground hard, while Viluy hovered down, cackling in triumph.

"You like it? I've gotten a new upgrade on my nanobots recently," she said. "They're already deadly enough being invisible to the human eye, but now I can remotely control them at will. Those nanobots will continue to eat away at your bodies until nothing's left."

Sailor Mercury struggled to get free, but the pain was so overwhelming that she couldn't do anything. Solaris also tried to get free, but he too couldn't fight the little terrors off either.

Then, a familiar voice shouted.

"Hold it right there!"

Viluy looked up in time to see Sailor Moon and Sailor Jupiter land on the ground in behind her. At the same time, Sailor Venus and Sailor Mars appeared from the opposite side.

"We won't allow you to steal the pure hearts of hard-working students focused on their studies so that you can use them for your own evil purposes!" Sailor Moon proclaimed. "I am the Pretty Guardian, who fights for love and justice, Sailor Moon! And in the name of the Moon, I'll punish you!"

"So, all six of you are here, eh?" Viluy smirked. She then pointed to Solaris and Mercury, "But understand this Sailor Moon, if you or any one of your friends make a move toward me, these two will die."

Sailor Moon and the others then looked at Solaris and Mercury, both of which were still struggling in their prisons. Seizing her chance, Viluy was attacked using her Mosiac Buster to try and trap the other Guardians, too, forcing them to dodge in defense. As the battle went on, Sailor Mercury opened one eye in her grimace, saw her comrades in trouble, and saw Solaris, who was also struggling.

"I have to do something!" Sailor Mercury screamed in her thoughts. "All of my friends are in danger!"

She summoned her will, grit her teeth, and started to move inside of her barrier, fighting back. Viluy took notice, as did the other Guardians.

"I... won't... let you... hurt my friends!" Sailor Mercury spoke through gritted teeth.

"You're still not giving up?" Viluy spoke in annoyance. "Just hurry up and die already. I told you that your illogical and naive way of thinking would lead to your death, so hurry up and die!"

"Call it what you want... but I don't think... it's illogical at all!" Sailor Mercury spoke through the pain. "If anything, it's proof that I'm human! Sure, logic is important... and a great thing to have, but you shouldn't... forsake your emotion to be great with it! And for another... it's wrong to be using science for evil... it's supposed to be help people and make them happy...!"

"Well, it'll sure help and make me happy when you're eradicated from this world!" countered Viuy. "And once you're out of the way, I'll be sure to eliminate the rest of your friends too. And I think I'll start with Solaris."

At that moment, both Sailor Mercury's eyes snapped open as she looked across to Solaris, who was still being attacked by Viluy's nanobots. The mere thought of Viluy terminating him made something snap inside of her. Her body began to fill with strength as it started to glow bright blue, which became stronger by the second.

"I... won't... LET YOU!" she yelled.

Her body erupted in blue light as she exploded out of her prison, causing Viluy and the other Guardians to stop in surprise while shielding their eyes. At the same time, while he was inside the Mosiac Buster, Solaris's armor turned light blue, now in her Mercury Mode. Sailor Mercury looked at her hands in amazement, feeling new power surging through her as she heard a voice.

"Sailor Mercury, by believing that kindness and empathy should be at a balance, you've unlocked your planet powers! To activate them, say Mercury Planet Power, Make Up!"

Sailor Mercury held up her hand and repeated those exact words.

"MERCURY PLANET POWER MAKE UP!"

Transformation Seuence: Ami

The planet Mercury appears, and Ami puts her hand up, her fingernails begin to sparkle in bright blue, and her transformation wand comes to her hand spinning, now having a different design, as she takes hold of it. Next, her body becomes silhouetted in blue as water comes out from her wand. While spinning around, the water swirls around her body, forming her Sailor Uniform and her symbols. Finally, a ripple of water overshadows her, and she emerges wearing her uniform with knee-high blue boots, a pair of earrings, a light blue bow in front and the back, gloves with blue trims, and a blue skirt choker and collar. Ami then turns around, and in the middle of her forehead, her symbol appears, and her tiara materializes. Her transformation now complete; she assumes her final pose, her symbol and planet appearing in the background against a starry sky.

Viluy was shocked. "What the hell just happened?!" she demanded. "And how did she get free of my nanobots?!"

"Viluy! You have misused science for your own evil ends for too long!" Sailor Mercury spoke firmly. "Protected by Mercury, the planet of water, guardian of intelligence and wisdom! I am Sailor Mercury! Now douse yourself in water and repent!"

"All right, Mercury!" cheered Sailor Moon.

Sailor Mercury then faced Solaris's barrier, spun around as small bits of ice surrounded her, and unleashed a new attack.

"SHINE SNOW ILLUSION!"

With a wave of her hand, she released an icy gale of snow that froze all of the nanobots surrounding Solaris setting him free.

Sailor Mercury quickly rushed over to him. "Solaris, are you all right?"

"I am now, thanks to you, Mercury," replied Solaris.

Viluy clicked her tongue in annoyance as she pressed a button on her wristband to force her nanobots free, but this time, nothing happened.

"What?! What's going on?!" she demanded crossly as she furiously pressed buttons. "Why can't they break free?!"

"Solaris! Now's our chance!" yelled Sailor Mercury. "Attack now while she's caught off guard!"

Solaris answered with a nod and attacked using one of Sailor Mercury's attacks.

"SHINE AQUA ILLUSION!"

He hurled a powerful torrent of water at his enemy, forcing Viluy to take the hit. Sailor Mercury then summoned a globe of water in her hand, spun around, and held it in front of her. The water globe fell to the ground and burst into a veil of water that surrounded her as she crossed her arms above her head. A bright blue ball of light appeared in her hands as she called out the name of another new attack.

"MERCURY AQUA MIRAGE!"

Several streams of sparkling water erupted from the ball, shooting straight towards Viluy. Seeing the attack coming at her, Viluy quickly countered using her Mosiac Buster. This time, Mercury's attack overwhelmed hers, the streams of water surrounding her upon contact, forming a sphere of water and trapping her inside. Then, the sphere exploded, water gushing out everywhere, leaving Viluy barely able to stand.

"I-Impossible... how did you get this powerful?!" she snarled in disbelief. "This doesn't make any sense!" And the more Viluy couldn't believe it, the angrier she became. "I won't accept this! I will not accept this! I won't lose to the likes of you!"

She clenched her fist, punched it into the ground, and was encased in a chunk of ice. The chunk started growing bigger in size until it shattered, revealing the monster underneath that was Viluy. Her skin had turned gray, and her sky blue hair turned a deep dark blue. Her muscles were now bigger, causing her clothes to tear, and her face now had a feral and beastly look, her eyes glowing bright with rage.

"I never usually use my Daimon form," Viluy growled in a low voice. "But desperate times call for desperate measures!"

"Sh-She transformed!" gasped Sailor Moon.

"Just like the other Daimons Mimete was sending out before!" said Sailor Venus.

Viluy raised her hands and threw them out, unleashing a powerful blast of ice, forcing all of the Guardians to dodge. However, despite avoiding the attack, they were still pelted with shards of ice as they shot out all over the area, some of which even hitting the school. The entire area also grew colder as the ice that fell began to spread from the ground and the school.

"If she keeps this up, she'll freeze up everything!" cried Sailor Mars. "Everyone inside the school will be in danger!"

"Then's let's take her down right here and now!" said Solaris. "Sailor Mercury! We're doing the big one! You ready?!"

Sailor Mercury answered with a nod. "Yes! I'm with you!"

Solaris and Sailor Mercury then held hands synchronizing their powers and hearts as their bodies began to glow blue. Viluy saw them and unleashed another blast of ice at the two, creating a powerful explosion on contact. Believing that she had taken out her enemies, Viluy smirked and cackled in triumph, but then she heard two voices shout at the same time.

"UNISON FUSION! PLANETARY ALIGNMENT!"

Transformation: Unknown.

Solaris and Sailor Mercury stand back to back, holding hands as their bodies radiate with light, Solaris's being gold and Sailor Mercury's being blue. The two each hold up one of their hands, and their symbols appear above them, both of them overlapping one another. Then, the two let go, and they shoot into the air flying in a swirl, their bodies silhouetted with their respective colors. They fly closer together until they finally merge in a bright flash of gold and blue. The silhouette of a girl in gradient colors of gold and blue flies through their overlapping symbols and stands upon it. Boots and gloves materialize around the girl's feet, along with clothes and armor that was a mix of Solaris and Sailor Mercury's outfits colored blue and gold. The girl then opens her eyes and assumes a pose while Solaris and Mercury's symbols appear in the background.

The fusion jumped out of the cloud of ice and landed on the ground in front of Viluy, ready to take her down.

"So this is the famous fusion power I've heard so much about," commented Viluy. "I'll admit it's impressive, but that's still nothing compared to my power! I'll crush both of you at the same time!"

Viluy generated power from her hands, prepared to unleash another powerful beam of ice. However, the fusion remained where she stood, as a visor appeared in front of her eyes, flashing and beeping as it did. Viluy then unleashed her attack, her beam of ice shooting towards the fusion, but the fusion stepped to the right, dodging it at the last second. Viluy then pounced toward the fusion encasing her hands with ice turning them into claws, and swiped using both of them, but the fusion jumped over her head and gave her a swift kick to the back, sending her face-first into the dirt.

"It's no use, Viluy," the fusion spoke in Mercury's voice. "We can easily predict any move you make using thanks to my calculations."

Viluy growled in anger and frustration as she attacked the fusion again, only for her to dodge and counter her each time. Viluy then let out a roar of rage as her body exploded with light.

"I'll kill you! I'll kill both of you!" Viluy shrieked as she gathered all the power she could muster. "I'll use my nanobots and my ice powers at the same time and eradicate you!"

The fusion stood her ground and got ready to attack as well, as Viluy unleashed her most powerful attack.

"MOSIAC BUSTER! MAXIMUM POWER!"

A powerful blast of ice and nanobots erupted from Viluy's hands as it shot out towards its target. The fusion's body began to glow bright blue and gold as she jumped into the air while generating a giant bubble of water.

"SOLARIS MERCURY BUBBLE METEOR BOMB!"

The fusion hurled the giant bubble, and the two attacks clashed, resulting in a massive stalemate. Then, the Bubble Meteor Bomb began to overpower Viluy's pushing it back until it finally won, swallowing up Viluy and exploded in a tower of water as it rained down everywhere. Viluy was now flat on the ground, badly hurt, her outfit in tatters and her bracelet crackling and sparking, however, she wasn't giving up as she struggled to get back up.

"No way! She's still alive!" cried Sailor Moon.

She and the other guardians were about to attack, but the fusion raised her hand, stopping them, silently telling them to stand down.

"No... I refuse to be defeated... Not now!" rasped Viluy. "I won't... lose to the likes of you!" As soon as she managed to stand, she held up the hand that her bracelet was on, aiming squarely at the fusion. "NOW, I'LL DESTROY YOU! MOSIAC BUSTER!"

A powerful ring of electricity and nanobots erupted from her hand. Still, instead of attacking the fusion, the ring turned itself around and shot straight to Viluy, encasing her inside of a barrier of nanobots. Viluy let out a scream of agony and surprise, while Sailor Moon and the others were shocked.

"W-What is the meaning of this?!" Viluy cried. "I'm your master! You flimsy pieces of tech! Why can't you recognize your own creator?!"

"Because machines don't have hearts, and there's no need for feelings for science, only logic," the fusion spoke in Mercury's voice. "Isn't that what you said before?"

Viluy continued to be assaulted by her nanobots, unable to do anything, and in a matter of seconds, her body evaporated into thin air, leaving only her bracelet behind. The bracelet gave one final spark and one last crackle before crumbling into pieces which in turn caused the nanobots to stop functioning.

After things calmed down, Usagi and the gang were walking home from school, Viluy's demise still fresh on their minds.

"Well, that's one less member of the Witches 5 down for the count," said Makoto. "And I say good riddance!"

"I'll say," said Usagi. "And what's more; we got to see Harusuke and Ami fuse, and Ami unlocked her Planet Powers! I'm starting to wonder if I'll be able to fuse with Harusuke someday. What do you think, Ami?"

But Ami was silent, not appearing to be paying attention, a frown on her features.

"Is something wrong, Ami?" asked Harusuke. "We thought you'd be a bit happier."

"I was just thinking about Viluy," said Ami. "I know that she was evil, and she got what she deserved for only believing in logic without emotions, but I still can't help but feel bad for the poor girl. If only I could have made her understand her way of thinking was wrong. But... I guess even I couldn't convince her."

"Come on, Ami. There's nothing else you could have done," said Usagi. "The Death Busters aren't people to be reasoned with or convinced."

"There are some people who can't be reasoned with like Viluy," agreed Minako. "Besides, we had to stop her. It's for the best."

But Ami still looked glum until Harusuke touched her shoulder for comfort.

"It's ok, Ami. Try not to worry about it," He told her. "You have a kind heart, but Viluy made her choice. There's no sense in fretting over something that already happened. All you can do is keep moving forward and stay true to yourself."

A ghost of a smile came to Ami's face as she felt a little better. "I guess you're right."

"Atta, girl," said Rei. "Now that we've taken care of that, what do you say we head over to the cafe? We could use some after that last battle."

"Sounds good to me!" said Usagi. "Let's go get some hot chocolate and some cake! Harusuke's buying!"

"No, I'm not!" Harusuke snapped indignantly. "I'm not a walking wallet, you know!"

Everyone laughed as they set off for the cafe to celebrate their victory.
