The Nakano family was having breakfast before school. As they were finishing up, Miku finally heard what she had been on the lookout for.

Miku:"Oh, my horoscopes are on!"

Miku hurried to the tv to see what her fortune would be.

Nino:"I don't get what you see in those."

Miku:"I just like looking at them. Oh, here's mine."

Nino, despite not being interested, still took a peek.

Nino:[Your Fortune:Your Love Will Exceed...Huh?]

After a class ended, a particularly tired Fuutarou was writing something before bumping into Yotsuba.

Fuutarou:"Ah, Yotsuba, just the person I'd been looking for."

Yotsuba:"What's up, Fuutarou-kun?"

Fuutarou pointed to a giant stack of papers.

Fuutarou:"Mind using your gorilla strength to move this?"

Yotsuba:"Sure, but don't call me a gorilla ever again or I'll use this power against you!"

Fuutarou:"R-Right."

As Yotsuba went to the pile, she noticed someone coming over.

Yotsuba:"Is that Rito-san?"

Fuutarou:"Who?"

Yotsuba:"Fuutarou-kun."

Fuutarou:"...Oh, right. You destroyed him in that race."

Before they knew it, Rito was standing in front of them. But as he opened his mouth, Yotsuba hurried over.

Yotsuba:"I'm glad you're finally back, the track team kept bugging me about you! But! Before anything else, I believe you've been behind on a certain promise."

Rito:"...Right."

Rito went over to Fuutarou and bowed.

Rito:"I'm sorry for all the things I said about you and for not participating in the festival."

Fuutarou:"Uh, sure."

Rito:"I didn't come to school because-"

At that moment, Fuutarou put his hand on his shoulder.

Fuutarou:"Look, I don't want to waste your time nor mine by pretending I care about this conversation. Yotsuba's got much better ears."

Rito turns back to Yotsuba.

Rito:[This is who you fought for?]

Yotsuba:[That face looks like it wants to say a lot…]

Rito:"In any case, I'm behind on my studies, so I was wondering-"

Then, Fuutarou turned Rito around and pointed to a peculiar scene. It consisted of Tsubaki, Maeda and Matsui in a seiza sitting position with a burning Takeda looking down at them.

Rito:[Oh no.]

Nino:"Fuu-kun!"

Fuutarou:"What is it?"

Nino grabbed Fuutarou and started dragging him along.

Nino:"Let's go somewhere!"

Fuutarou:"Where?"

Nino:"Who cares, let's just hang out!"

Yotsuba and Rito watched as he was dragged out of the hallway.

Rito:"...Well, I guess I'll ask the guy that broke his back in the three legged race for help."

Yotsuba:"Wait, Fuutarou-kun! You didn't tell me where to take these papers!"

Nino:"Hey, Fuu-kun! Let's go somewhere!"

Fuutarou:"But I don't want to."

Nino:"Too bad!"

Nino:"Fuu-kun! Time to go out!"

Fuutarou:"You ditched me last time."

Nino:"Just follow me."

Nino:"You know what time it is!"

Fuutarou:"You're sure these aren't dates?"

Ichika:"Nino, what are you doing out with Fuutarou-kun?"

Ichika went over to Miku, who was studying in the library after school.

Miku:"Steal him?"

Ichika:"Yep. She's been doing nothing but taking him out for random things, then coming back and buttering us up. If you don't do something…"

Miku:"I'm sure that's not what she's trying to do. Fuutarou already texted me saying they just hang out for a little bit and then she ditches him."

Ichika:"It starts with playdates, but then what happens when she tries to sneak a kiss?"

Miku:"She won't sneak anything...We stopped doing those things long ago."

Ichika:"...Sorry."

Miku:"Don't apologize. I trust Nino to not do that. Sure, she acts like she doesn't support us, but we all fought fair and square and Fuutarou made his choice. If Nino had been chosen, I'd support her as well. Don't you?"

Ichika:"Of course I do, it's just...It's odd seeing Nino like that. I wonder why she's doing that?"

Miku pondered for a bit, and remembered something that seemed to correlate with Nino's recent behavior.

Miku:"...Ichika, you don't think Nino is-"

Nino and Fuutarou were now at a mall inside of a fairly large clothes store. In a place still visible from the large entrance, Nino was pulling Fuutarou around the same way as the last few days.

Fuutarou:[I really need to put my foot down. I don't need people thinking that we look like a couple, no matter how unhappy I look.]

Fuutarou's thought was interrupted when a wad of cash hit Fuutarou's chest.

Nino:"Right, here's some money, buy me something nice!"

Fuutarou:"Why don't you buy it yourself?"

Nino:"Doesn't it mean more when it's a gift?"

Fuutarou:"Only if it's free."

Nino:"Oh, just do it."

Fuutarou:"...Nino, you're not doing this as a way to win me over, are you?"

Nino:"...Like hell I am, you wouldn't understand."

Fuutarou:"I feel like the guy being dragged everywhere does have a right to know."

Nino:"Just...shut up and…"

Miku:"It's alright, Nino."

Nino and Fuutarou turned to see Miku and Ichika.

Nino:"M-Miku! How did you find us?"

Ichika:"Yotsuba did us a favor and ran to all the places you like and stumbled upon you entering the mall."

Nino:"That Yotsuba!"

Miku:"Nino."

Nino:"Just so you know, I'm not trying to steal him from you!"

Fuutarou:"That's good, I wouldn't want to reject you again-"

Suddenly, a notebook hit Fuutarou on the head.

Nino:"No one cares, you!"

Miku approached while Fuutarou was recoiling from the hit.

Miku:"Disregarding Mr. Overly Self Conscious over there, the reason you're doing this...is because of the short amount of time we have left, isn't it?"

Nino:"..."

Miku:"You've been trying to keep us more separated so I don't think you mean less to me than him, is that right?"

Ichika:"Let it all out, Nino."

Nino grit her teeth and clenched her fist.

Miku:"You've already had the idea that we would split up for a while now, and that fortune today brought you over the edge."

Nino looked back at Fuutarou and Miku talking as they moved in the opposite direction as the other four sisters.

Miku:"Nino."

Ichika went and hugged Nino.

Nino:"Ichika going away was already too much for my heart. How am I supposed to react when the four most important people in my life leave me behind!?"

Miku went over to Nino.

Miku:"Nino, you really are an idiot!"

Nino:"..."

Miku:"Of course I want to stay with you! I want to stay with everyone...Once we graduate, I'll go abroad and I probably won't even be able to see you on vacation! I won't even see Fuutarou. Our relationship might even crack under the pressure of being so far away...But that's the risk we agreed to on that night."

Fuutarou:"..."

Miku:"You're not selfish for thinking the same thing we all are, but you're an idiot for thinking this will somehow make it better! We've fought before and there's no doubt we'll fight again. But, that won't change the fact you're my beloved sister."

Miku joined the Ichika and Nino hug.

Ichika:"You girls…"

Nino:"It's so frustrating...I want us to be together forever!"

Nino kept crying in their arms for a bit.

Nino:"...I have one more thing."

Nino went to Fuutarou.

Nino:"You asshole, why haven't you asked Miku on a date yet!? Aren't you dating!?"

Fuutarou:"That's…"

Miku:"Nino, he's just-"

Fuutarou:"No, she's right. Even though I made my choice, I haven't been owning up to it as much as I should."

Miku:"It's fine, Fuutarou. I know we're all busy with studying. And if you're too embarrassed, I can always be the one to ask you."

Fuutarou thought back to the times they went to the gym and when they went to the aquarium.

Fuutarou:"That's right...You've always been the one ask me out...But I can't let you do that anymore."

Fuutarou went closer to an increasingly blushing Miku.

Fuutarou:"I promise I'll ask you out myself. And we'll make it the best damned date ever."

Miku blushed at his declaration. She looked down and grabbed his shirt.

Miku:"Alright...I'll be waiting."

Fuutarou blushed in return and the two attempted to avoid eye contact.

Nino:"Now you act like a man."

Ichika:"Haha. Come on, we've made enough of a scene."

Nino:"You better not tell Yotsuba and Itsuki about my temper tantrum…"

Ichika:"Don't you want them to comfort you as well?"

Fuutarou:"Here's your money, by the way."

Ichika:"Nino, did you try to pay him compensated dating style?"

Nino:"I did not!"

Ichika:"And Miku, what's this about already asking Fuutarou-kun out on dates?"

Miku:"Guh!"

The four began to leave the store, but not before Miku looked back to see something that caught her eye. A little more time passed, and now it was Labor Thanksgiving once again.
