Labor Thanksgiving continued in earnest. With Itsuki's trip to the buffet and Miku's 'gift' taken care of, Fuutarou went to see the next in line.

Nino's turn.

Nino:"Well, look who's here. How did your time with Miku go-What happened to your face?"

Fuutarou had spent a good while pressing ice against his face in order to hide the steam.

Fuutarou:"Oh, you know, the sun."

Nino:"...Wait…"

Nino's head burst into flames.

Nino:"You didn't…!"

Knowing he couldn't keep it a secret, he just confessed.

Fuutarou:"Y-Yes, we did. And you know what? I'm proud of it! No point in trying to pretend it didn't happen!"

Nino:"You interloper! Monster!"

The second sister began throwing random things at him.

Fuutarou:"What!?"

Nino:"You dare defile my sister like that!?"

Fuutarou:"The hell you mean!? She's the one that wanted it!"

Nino:"That doesn't give you an excuse to defile her!"

Fuutarou:"But this wasn't even our first time."

Nino:"IT WHAT!?"

Nino picked up her phone and called Miku in a frantic panic.

Nino:"Miku!"

Fuutarou:"What's going on with her?"

...

Nino:"O-Oh...Okay. Is that so…?"

With shaky hands, Nino hung up and looked at Fuutarou.

Nino:"Be clearer next time."

Fuutarou:"Huh?"

Then, he got a text from Miku.

[Just what did you tell her?]

Fuutarou:"I thought we were just talking about the kiss."

Nino then glared at him with an ice cold stare.

Nino:"Just sit there and don't do anything else!"

Fuutarou:"We're not going anywhere?"

Nino:"We already went to the places I like with your boring ass. Besides, I can't just do that anymore. Finals are the least of my problems…"

Nino went to sit down, Fuutarou followed suit and looked at some of her papers.

Fuutarou:"Yeah, becoming a doctor is gonna be a long road."

Nino:"I'm nowhere as smart as papa, so I'll probably have to spend a damn decade in school after this!"

Fuutarou:"..."

Nino:"Before you ask, I don't regret my decision. But it's a little sad that this will be my life for a while. Oh no, what if I become like you?"

Fuutarou:"And what is that supposed to mean?"

Nino:"Exactly what it sounds like."

Fuutarou sighed.

Fuutarou:"What do you need help with?"

Nino:"Huh? But didn't you say-"

Fuutarou:"Consider this your gift. Besides, the faster you finish this, the sooner you can rest. Don't tell the rest about this."

Nino:"...Thank you, Fuu-kun."

Fuutarou:"By the way, here's a gift from the managers."

Nino:"Oh?"

After opening her gift, the two then looked over the homework together.

Ichika's turn.

Fuutarou found Ichika singing into her recorder. He didn't bother her during the duration of it. Once she finished, he came closer.

Fuutarou:"When did you get that back?"

Ichika:"Ah! F-Fuutarou-kun!"

Fuutarou:"Yeah, that's me."

Ichika:"Were you listening?"

Futuarou:"Oh, don't tell me you're anxious of me. Aren't you already used to acting in front of big crowds?"

Ichika:"Yes, but I don't hold their opinions in high regard."

Fuutarou:"From what I've been told, you really shouldn't look at me like a role model either."

Ichika:"Oh, that's not...mostly...kinda true."

Futuarou gave her a blank stare as he sipped on his glass of water.

Fuutarou:"What do you want to do?"

Ichika:"Well, I was just practicing. Besides that…"

Fuutarou:[Miku said she went to karaoke recently…] "I think I got an idea."

Fuutarou and Ichika made their way to the karaoke place. The attendant seemed to recognize Ichika's face which confirmed that this was the one Miku went to. Once they went inside, they began choosing a song.

Ichika:"I didn't know you came to karaoke."

Fuutarou:"I don't."

Ichika:"Oh, then I'll be the first to hear you sing?"

Fuutarou stopped. This was something he hadn't realized.

Fuutarou:"...I don't know if I can sing."

Ichika:"First time for everything."

Fuutarou:"...I'm only doing this because it's a holiday, got it?."

He then looked to the recently sung category.

Fuutarou:"...Oh, I think I know this one, Miku showed it to me...Now that's a coincidence, the top score for this one says Miku."

Ichika:"The top score for this one says Yotsuba."

Fuutarou:"..."

Ichika:"..."

Fuutarou:"I'm just gonna pick this one."

Fuutarou went to the front of the room with the slowest pace known to man.

Fuutarou:"Don't you dare record this."

Ichika:"Don't worry, I'll be a little selfish and enjoy this all to myself."

Fuutarou:"Hm…"

The staff would later report a squealing noise vibrate through the hallway. Once Ichika and Fuutarou left, she would be seen wearing ear plugs.

Yotsuba's turn.

Fuutarou finally saw Yotsuba, who was playing with the grass. Without noticing him, he came up behind her and said something in a low voice.

Fuutarou:"I got first place last time, time to go down again! Hahaha!"

Yotsuba:"F-Fuutarou-kun! Don't tease me like that!"

Fuutarou:"Speaking of, what did you mean by that, you girls have a bet?"

Yotsuba:"Ah, yeah. Back during the Kyoto trip."

Fuutarou:"Oh, that makes sense. You girls were at your most competitive then."

Yotsuba:"Ha...ha. So! Let's go eat!"

Fuutarou:"I'm already full."

Yotsuba:"Oh, then...I went to karaoke with Miku, we can go!"

Fuutarou took out a note and handed it to Yotsuba.

Yotsuba:"Please never take Fuutarou-kun to karaoke -Ichika. Huh?"

Fuutarou:"All I did was sing."

Yotsuba:"W-Well, then we can study!"

Fuutarou:"...No."

Yotsuba:"F-Fuutarou-kun just said no to studying!"

Yotsuba's knees buckled.

Yotsuba:"This is why I didn't want to go laaaaast!"

Fuutarou:"I do have something in mind."

The two went walking, eventually they came upon the swing set Yotsuba liked to go to.

Yotsuba:"What are we doing here?"

Fuutarou:"We're looking for that four-leaf clover!"

Yotsuba:"I see! But, aren't you just making me do manual labor?"

Fuutarou:"I prefer...finding a gift for Raiha."

Yotsuba:"Eh, good enough for me."

Over their time together, they would go through every clover in the field in front of the swings in an attempt to find the fabled clover. But despite being thorough with it, they simply couldn't find it. With that, their time ended with no luck.

Yotsuba:"No dice!"

Fuutarou:"Agh! Sorry for wasting your time like that."

Yotsuba:"It's fine, it was kinda fun. Say, you're hungry now, right?"

Fuutarou:"Huh? Yeah, I guess I didn't notice."

Yotsuba:"Perfect! There's a restaurant nearby, let's call the others and go together!"

Fuutarou:"Sure."

Yotsuba:"While they get here, let's keep looking for it!"

Fuutarou:"Are you sure?"

Yotsuba:"Absolutely! All for Raiha-chan!"

Fuutarou:"...Thanks."

A little while later, the other four would see Yotsuba and Fuutarou squatting down.

Nino:"What are they doing?"

Itsuki:"Um, excuse us."

Fuutarou:"Ah, you're here."

Yotsuba:"Already? Man, we still couldn't find it."

Fuutarou:"It's fine, maybe it's simply not there."

A hunched Yotsuba got up and looked at her sisters. After some thinking, something came to mind.

{"Let's come back here with everyone else someday!"}

Yotsuba smiled before running over to Fuutarou.

Yotsuba:"Fuutarou-kun!"

Fuutarou:"What's up?"

Yotsuba:"I'd like to request an extension to my time!"

Fuutarou:"What...Oh!"

As if on cue, he and Yotsuba approached the swings and got on their respective ones.

Miku:"Hm?"

Yotsuba:"We want you guys to see how far we can go!"

Ichika:"What's this about?"

Fuutarou:"Yotsuba's been jumping off these things as practice."

Yotsuba:"I wanted to show off my progress!"

Itsuki:"Isn't that dangerous?"

Miku:"Well, let's see the results of her training!"

Yotsuba:"Right! Ready?"

Fuutarou:"As much as I'll ever be."

Both of them began to swing back and forth, slowly building up momentum. Their motions became more exaggerated the higher they went. Then, once they reached the maximum height, they flew off at the same time. Fuutarou's was no doubt the furthest he'd ever gone, he was able to land right before the clover field. His legs hurt, but he was proud of how much distance he'd made.

Fuutarou:"Heh heh, now that's progress."

Fuutarou looked around to see where Yotsuba was, but she wasn't anywhere. Rather, he saw the other four sisters looking up, to which he followed their line of sight. He saw Yotsuba with a blank face in mid air still holding on to the chains.

Fuutarou:[Wait, what?]

Fuutarou looked to the swings to see that Yotsuba had broken the seat clean off.

Fuutarou:"What the hell!?"

Yotsuba:[Crap! I don't have balance up here!]

Yotsuba looked down to the faces of everyone below and then saw where she would land, being the field of clovers. In that split second, she resolved to finish the job. This was already her highest jump, she wasn't gonna let this opportunity go to waste. She let go of the chains and moved her body to a position ready to land. She was scared, but compared to what she'd gone through before, this was nothing. As soon as her feet landed, she almost lost all control as her body was sliding across the clovers. But she used every bit of her strength to not faceplant. Eventually, she came to a stop, leaving a trail behind her. No one said anything for a bit, but once she could feel her legs again, she jumped for joy.

Yotsuba:"That was awesome!"

Fuutarou sighed in relief. The four sisters came to her side.

Itsuki:"That was so dangerous!"

Ichika:"How bold."

Nino:"Are you dumb!?"

Miku:"My heart stopped for a second!"

Yotsuba:"Hahaha! I did it!"

Fuutarou:"Good job, Yotsuba."

Yotsuba:"Fuutarou-kun! You did great too!"

Fuutarou:"Yeah."

Yotsuba:"We should do this more often!"

Fuutarou:"Yeah, no. That was too reckless."

Yotsuba:"Haha! Remember when I walked on the railing back during our trip?"

Fuutarou:"All those years back? You fell in the lake like an idiot."

Ichika:"Now that I think about it, she did come back all soaked."

Nino:"That was the reason!?"

Miku:"But we could tell you had fun."

Itsuki:"And here I thought we were just going to eat."

Yotsuba:"We are, we just wanted to do this."

Ichika:"Well, let's go clean ourselves first, you're both covered in dirt."

Fuutarou:"Ahh, right."

Yotsuba:"Let's go!"

With that, the family went to go eat. None of them would notice that in the trail Yotsuba had gone through, there was a single four-leafed clover standing proud.

Fuutarou and Yotsuba would later get scolded greatly for breaking the swing and going through the field. And so ended Labor Thanksgiving Day.
