A.N. — It's days like today the site's character list truly bugs me. So many characters that are only from Pottermore, or Hogwarts Mystery, or Black family members only seen in the tapestry in the movies. There's a lack of non-humans (like Hokey or Pig) or fanon-rich characters (Prof. Babbling, etc.). I just wanted a female character to write that I didn't have plans for, not to get ticked off...

142. Lisa Turpin

Some students were outgoing, known beyond their own House and favored by teachers. Others become insular, disappearing into the maze-like castle. Lisa Turpin was among the latter group.

Lisa saw Granger making a teacher's pet of herself first year and endeavored to avoid the same fate. She quashed her inclination to participate in class discussion, and studied almost exclusively in Ravenclaw's finely appointed common room library.

Consequently, Lisa became a friendless recluse, as much a phantasm as any of the ghosts inhabiting Hogwarts. Like the spirits, Lisa was but a shadow of a life lived, so stifled she kept herself.
