Esme and I have been on a mother son day out! It was most relaxing and fun. It is always nice to spend time with Esme out of earshot of the others.
We went hunting last night, then made a camp fire for ambiance and had a nice chat while she stroked my hair. Today we continued the fun with shopping in Port Angeles, just the two of us.
We bought a new rug for my room and some bedsheets. I haven't had a bed before, but needed one to keep up appearances and have found it is quite good for swooning and daydreaming. I also still enjoy pretending to sleep, even though of course I no longer wear Bella's garbage shirt when I do it. I cannot deny that I still miss the trash shirt.
The sheets are very soft and blue. I like blue. And I like soft things. They are excellent sheets.
It was so nice to have Esme all to myself! We went to a cafe and pretended to eat cakes because they were pretty and had a lovely chat. She is very much looking forward to visiting Isle Domyownwriting with Carlisle, they set off tomorrow and will return on January 2nd. They plan to take another vacation there when Carlisle can get away from work for a little longer.
Esme and I were talking about how to manage my anxiety and she said she likes to relax in the bath. I usually take showers, but I have a tub. Soon after we left the cafe, Esme and I walked past a smelly bath goods store and they were making bubbles with the soap, she convinced me that we deserve a treat. We do!
Esme bought some fancy soaps for the sinks around the house and I bought some bath bombs. They make the most excellent fizzing sound and will make me smell nice for Bella. I bought sixty three in the end. The car smelled very clean by the time we got home!
When we got back Jasper, Alice and Emmett were watching TV and Rosalie was in the garage working on her car. Alice looked excited about the bath bombs and Emmett was asking about the different flavours. I offered them all one. Not Rosalie, haha!
Jasper said he only wanted one if it didn't smell and wasn't coloured. I am not sure he understands the concept. Alice took one of the goddess ones that smells of jasmine and roses. Emmett's eyes lit up when he saw the golden egg bath bombs and he immediately settled on it, happy to have found his prize. I am glad I could share a nice new way to relax with them. I am also glad Emmett will take a much needed bath.
Esme said we can have another special "Esward day" together soon! It is something I am very much looking forward to.
