The final battle of STHEREA packed every zone on the field with immense power. Dharma controlled her six-headed dragon army with Starleader Dragon Armillyre(1400/LINK 2) {Downleft/Downright} [Extra Zone 1], Blue-Eyes Twin Burst Dragon(8/3000/2500) [Zone 1], Blue-Eyes Abyss Dragon(8/2500/2500) [Zone 2], Blue-Eyes Chaos Max Dragon(8/4000/0) [Zone 3], and the Maiden with Eyes of Blue(1/0/0). Charles controlled the five colors of the extra deck with the link monster Decode Talker Heatsoul(3300/LINK 3) {Downleft/Up/Downright} [Extra Zone 2], the synchro Cyberse Quantum Dragon(7/2500/2000) [Zone 1], the ritual Cyberse Magician(7/2500/2000) [Zone 2], the fusion Cyberse Clock Dragon(8/2500/2000) [Zone 3] and the XYZ Firewall Exceed Dragon(R4/2500/2000) [Zone 4]. "Geez. That's one hell of a lineup." Therese remarked. "But her side is stronger. Charles cannot destroy them all." Crescent noted, as Chaos Max Dragon could not be harmed by effects and Twin Burst Dragon could not even be destroyed in battle. "Unless.."

"Yes, my royal flush. They all have a part to play. We will start with Firewall XYZ Dragon! Once a turn he brings one link four monster back to a linkable zone! But I cannot attack directly or summon anything else for the rest of the turn! I choose you, Accesscode Talker!" Two turns ago, his ultimate Code warrior did not get its chance to shine. "Firewall gains five hundred attackpoints for each link on a monster linked with it. And Accesscode, well it can still do what it does best! I can banish one of each elemental link monsters from the graveyard to destroy one card on the field!" Charles aimed to remedy that problem with the Accesscode(2300/LINK 4) {Left/Up/Down/Right} [Zone 5] revived by the Exceed Dragon(4500/2000). "Oh boy." This time Dharma did not have any effect negators handy. At best she could boost chain her Castle of Dragonsouls to the Exceed-Dragons effect: banishing her Azure-Eyes Silver Dragon from the graveyard to boost the attackpoints of Chaos Max Dragon(4700/0) by 700 points. "Your traps will be the first to go, Dharma!" The white knight lancer absorbed the soul of the DARK Linkuriboh to throw its first darkened lance into her continuous trap card of Dragonsouls.

"But when my Castle is destroyed, I can special summon one banished dragon!" Dharma could still chain to the result of Accesscode Talker's effects and used her smashed trap to release the Arkbrave Dragon(7/2400/2000). A special summoned Arkbrave would banish all face-up spells and traps, which meant the end for Charles' Cynet Recovery. "Another thing I also learned from my duels is that I should never leave the home without this beauty! Especially since you guys keep bringing in bigger and bigger link monsters! I activate Saryuja's Shackles!" Dharma's trap instead targeted Accesscode Talker. "But thanks boss. Now I can draw four cards! One for each arrow on your fancy Code Talker!" The trap of shackles filled out her hand immediately at the cost of pulling back two cards to the deck. She returned her Blue-Eyes White and Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon. "Heh. Just when I thought she was out of energy." Hydra wondered if she would get around to using that trap.

"Not by a long shot, Hydra! I also have this I activate Majesty with Eyes of Blue! I send one Blue-Eyes from my deck or hand to the graveyard and target one monster! That monster cannot attack, ever!" She sent the Alternative White Dragon in her deck to the graveyard again, who flashed across the field like a lightning bolt and struck the Firewall Exceed Dragon. "Oh?" Charles' strongest monster froze in its tracks. "Then I will just have to delete your monsters, Dharma!" Charles banished Proxy F Magician, Splash Mage, Update Jammer, Transcode Talker and Secure Gardna: unleashing a beam of Fire, Water, Wind, Earth and Light energy to annihilate four cards at once. In the end the Arkbrave Dragon, Blue-Eyes Abyss Dragon, Maiden with Eyes of Blue, Blue-Eyes Twin Burst Dragon and the Mausoleum of White all faced the oblivion within the white light "Heh. But when my Blue-Eyes is destroyed, I can special summon Deep-Eyes White Dragon from my hand! And I summon it in defense mode!" Dharma turned the wipeout somewhat around with the shimmering cosmic dragon(10/3000/0) [Zone 3] whose metallic feathers covered in starlight. The Deep-eyed dragon gained the attackpoints of one Blue-Eyes White Dragon in the graveyard, and could inflict 600 points of damage for each dragon that died this duel.

Or at least it would have, if Secure Gardna had not negated all effect damage a few moments ago. "In defense mode huh? I know that if I destroy that card with en effect, it will destroy all my monsters too. But now that I know you cant combine it with Honest, I can destroy the it the old fashioned way!" Charles activated a spell card next. "This is Sacred Serpent's Wake! Since I control one ritual, fusion, XYZ and synchro monster, I can add one monster, spell and trap card from the graveyard to my hand!" He used his spell to take back Cynet Conflict, Cyberse Gadget and United We Stand. The equip spell he gave to the Heatsoul Code Talker(8100/2000) to add 800 attackpoints to that monster for each monster he already controlled. "And against my better judgment I will use Heatsoul's effect as well to draw another card." He could pay a 1000 lifepoints two more times, and he figured he would need every advantage he could get against her now. "Now, here I come!"

Charles' LP: 2000

"Cyberse Magician attacks the Starleader Dragon! He gains a thousand attackpoints if he battles an opponents link monster!" The Cyberse Magician(3500 atk) released his spell of destruction against the Starleading dragon. but he unfortunately failed to reach the target. "Bad news, Charles! I am gonna have to replac Starleader! I summon Kaider Glider Golden Burst! He gets the attackpoints of another monster on the field too!" Dharma performed her impromptu pseudo-tribute summon and replaced the link dragon with her golden dragon(8100/2200). Its shining armor reflected the power of the Heatsoul Decode Talker. "Aha. A quick effect eh?Then I will pass this attack on to Cyberse Quantum Dragon! He returns one monster on the field to the hand during their battle!" The Ritual magician retreated while Quantum flew so fast it broke the barrier of light and time and carried the Kaiser Glider with it all the way into the future. Meanwhile the Cyberse Clock Dragon built up a charge of electric energy across its wings and poured it into one great sphere which it blasted straight towards the defending Deep-Eyes White Dragon. And Decode Talker Heatsoul doused its sword in flames to give it the searing edge he needed to cut off Chaos Max Dragon's head.

"Wow. Its a good thing you really cant attack me directly." Dharma came this close to losing the entire duel. "I was actually kinda hoping that this would be it. But you surprised me again. If your parents could see you now, I bet they would feel very silly about the way they treated you before." Charles ended his turn by placing two trap cards down on his field. "Heh. Oh I am going to rub this in their faces every chance I get, boss. But I dont need their validation. I'll just be happy if they accept what I did and let it be." Dharma gave it a shrug. "Honestly I just wish your mom and dad could see this. They were a lot nicer. I bet they'd be pretty amazed too." She said with a smile and a wink. "Oh stop it. I am not going to force them to watch all this excitement when they need their rest right now. Thats what the recording is for.. Dont misunderstand me though, I am proud of what I did.. and am still doing."

-TURN 08-

"Haha, I am sure you are. But I am going to be the one who has to apologize.. when I win this duel!" During the standby phase, Arkbrave Dragon could use its effect again to revive her dragon: a Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon(8/3000/2500) [Zone 5] in defense mode. "Dharma, I am not sure what you are trying to do here. Cyberse Quantum Dragon, Clock Dragon and Cyberse Magician all prevent other cards from being targeted by attacks or effects as long as I control a link monster." Charles exclaimed. Half of his cyberse legion had created an endless feedback loop that perpetually made all of them untargetable by effects like that of the Alternative Dragon. "Oh I know, boss. That's why I will special summon Chaos Dragon Levianeer!" Unfortunately for Charles, Dharma liked to be unpredictable. She banished DARK and LIGHT monsters from her graveyard to materalize her black dragon(8/3000/0) [Zone 4] with light wings. Doing so would also let her destroy up to two cards Charles controlled, and she chose both of his traps. "Then my hand is forced!" And Charles activated Cynet Conflict. Because he still controlled his Code Talkers, his countertrap could negate the effect and banish the Chaos Dragon.

"Whoa whoa.. did you just use the same dragon that Continuum used? And Prospero too?" Cherry had a bit of a fit when she saw Levianeer hit the field. "Yeah? Why not.. it a dragon and it has my favorite amount of attackpoints. Sometimes a card is just a card, Cherry." Dharma shrugged. "Yeah it will be after all of this is over." The Trickstar duelist still did not see the point in all of this. "I thought you were okay with that?" The blue-eyed duelist asked her. "Maybe. Or maybe that's what Echo wanted me to believe. I dont know anymore.." Cherry grumbled. "This is not an end of anything, Cherry. Its just a new phase in all of our lives.. Just enjoy this moment for now. Because I know who wont be enjoying it.. Charles monsters! I can banish the Mausoleum of White and add Burst Stream of Destruction to my hand! If I give up my Blue Eyes' battle phase this turn, then this spell can destroy all monsters on the opponents field!" There were more than one ways for the white dragons to lay waste to entire armies, and the spell would let her do it without declaring a single attack.

"Heh. I see I gave you too much freedom here, Dharma. But I did want to see what you would do. And I also wanted you to see this.." But there was one thing that could still be stronger than all of his cards combined. "I activate the World Legacy Awakens to link summon a monster during your turn! I link summon Firewall Dragon darkfluid!" That was the last card in his extra deck. "Ah?" The link circuit opened up behind the five required materials: Firewall Exceed, Cyberse Magician, Decode Talker Heatsoul, Cyberse Quantum Dragon and Accesscode Talker. Though Heatsoul did take another 1000 lifepoints from Charles so he could make one more soul-powered draw.

Charles' LP: 1000

"Darkfluid?" For many this would be the first time they layed eyes upon Charles' greatest creation: the ultimate Firewall Dragon(3000/LINK 5) {Left/Downleft/Up/Right/Downright} [Extra Zone 2]. "Yes. This is what I had to make to finally bring down Static, and to help us all defeat the Creator! This is my link five monster, and he becomes stronger if there are ritual, fusion, synchro and XYZ-monsters in my graveyard!" In actuality the dragon greated a counters for each of those types, and if it battled it would gain 2500 attackpoints to for each of those counters. "You still had that up your sleeve? Incredible.. But what about the Burst Stream!?" Donna cried out. Dharma's spell would keep firing even if it missed most of its targets. Already it destroyed the Cyberse Clock Dragon who stayed outside of the link circuit. The destruction of the Clock Dragon did allow Charles to add another spell card (Monster Reborn) from his deck to his hand however. "I have got that covered too! I can banish Cyberse Synchron from my graveyard to negate the destruction of one monster in my extra zone!" The ringlike body of the synchron tuner allowed it to absorb the remaining stream into the hollow gate and nullify the destruction.

"You know when I asked for a Firewall, I didnt mean this! Even if she could, Dharma would not want to attack now. Instead she activated her Alternative Dragons effect to destroy one monster on the field. "It could be. Since Firewall Dragon Darkfluid can negate one monster effect by using up one counter!" The first firewall of his dragon shattered, the black barrier of the XYZ-dragons. Darkfluid lost one of its counters, but it could do this three more times. "Yeah I remember. So what do I get for this? I activate Return of the Dragon Ruler and special summon the Divine Dragon Lord Felgrand in defense mode!" Dharma took down another counter soon enough. She special summoned the golden dragon lord Felgrand(8/2800/2800) [Zone 3] from her graveyard with the dragon revival spell. "Well you're gonna cost me anther twenty five grand, but thats about it!" Charles did not need to be reminded that Felgrand would banish a monster on the field whenever it came back from the graveyard. Weakening Darkfluid again would hurt him considerably less. "Man, this is gonna be tough." Dharma placed one card down and ended her turn.

-TURN 09-

"Not to be a picky, but a grand is a bit more than a hundred, Charles." Juan pointed out. "Well I dont know about you, but its more than I have either way." He laughed back. "True true. But we saved the world. I think you deserve a a lot more than you have yourself." The speed duelist suggested. He himself would just be happy if he could see his own brother again. But his own future remained uncertain as well.

"Hm. Dont know if the world is going to reward us or punish us once this is all over. Maybe I can could give me some money instead if I you beat me?" Dharma herself offered. She had more than enough after all. "Tempting. But I am not in this for the money. Though my parents might take you up on that instead!" Charles activated his spell card Monster Reborn and used it to revive Accesscode Talker(2300/LINK 4) [Zone 4]. "Oh yeah? I knew I had to save this spell for the right occasion!" Dharma immediately flipped her quickplay spell face-up, Succession of Soul. "Succession of Soul sacrifices my effect monster to send one of yours back to the graveyard! And then I summon a normal monster from my deck!" She replaced her Felgrand with the last classic Blue-Eyes White Dragon(8/3000/2500) [Zone 3], and pushed Accesscode back into the graveyard. "Because two aces at once is against the rules boss!"

"Ha! Says the duelist with three blue eyes white dragons! Firewall Dragon Darkfluid! Attack Blue-Eyes Alternative!" The new Blue-Eyes also got summoned in defense mode, leaving Charles without any damage to inflict. And Firewall Darkfluid(8000 atk) would not even get the chance to crush its target either, as Dharma could banish Return of the Dragon Ruler from the graveyard to negate her dragons demise. "Seriously though, now I cant stop thinking about it. Have he heard anything from the world outside?" Charles wanted to enjoy this seemingly endless battle, but he kept getting distracted. "From what I've heard, I believe most of Continuums victims are now waking up." Agent Asterisk came with the answers. "Its going to be a while to see how much they remember, and how they will react. But I think there will be plenty who have friends and family to help them, friends like us." Dueling had become popular enough that there would be one duelist in every neighborhood after all. "Good. Then all that remains is to settle this." Charles placed two more trap cards down and a monster card.

-TURN 10-

"Heh! Well I wont make it easy for you. You have two more shots boss! Lets see if you use them well!" Dharma immediately tried to reactivate her Alternative Dragons destruction effect. "It'd kinda be dumb not to use here." Charles removed another counter from the Darkfluid dragon and blocked the effect completely, leaving it with just one. "Heh, yes you would be. But how about this? I summon the King of Dragons!" Her next card came with that title, but its role would be closer to that of a dragon tamer.. a tamer(4/1200/1100) [Zone 1] with a three-headed blue-eyes guitar. "King of Dragons discards one card from my hand and adds one of his three spells from the deck to my hand!" Dharma discarded the Ultimate Creature of Destruction to add the Dragon Revival Rhapsody spell to her hand. "Oh." Charles could have stopped that effect too. But at that point his Firewall Dragon would be so weak that it could not even put up a fight against her regular dragons. So he did nothing and let the spell enter her hand.

"No? Okay then.. I activate Dragon Revival Rhapsody! This spell here special summons two dragons at once, though you do not take any damage this turn! I special summon one normal dragon and one special dragon, Blue-Eyes White Dragon and the Divine Dragon Lord Felgrand!" The Dragon tamer strummed its guitar to play the song of reival for one normal dragon and one effect dragon. Blue-Eyes(8/3000/2500) [Zone 2] and Felgrand(8/2800/2800) [Zone 4] would follow the tune, rising up behind the King like waves crashing against cliffs. "Welcome back Felgrand! You have the honor of banishing Firewall over there!" The special summoned Dragon Lord would not stand for imitation dragons and came at Charles' monster with a ray of banishment. "Well you've done it, Dharma! You've drained it of all its powers!" Charles had no choice but to use up the final counter, protecting Firewall Darkfluid behind the final barrier.

"It happens to everyone, just ask Crescent! How many times did her Rainbow get run down eh?" Dharma yelled while Crescent in the background smiled and held up five fingers. "There! You see? No monster is perfect! But Blue-Eyes almost is! Since I special summoned one, I can set this trap back to my field as well!" Dharma's discarded trap, the Ultimate Creature of Destruction, came back from the graveyard. But since it set itself on the field, it could not be activated yet this turn. Not that she needed it though. "Time for the coup de grace!" Dharma banished the Blue-Eyes Abyss Dragon from her graveyard, giving all of her level 8 dragons a 1000 more attackpoints (Blue-Eyes White Dragons: 4000/2500, Felgrand: 3800/2800). "Blue-Eyes! Destroy Firewall and show him who's the boss of dragons!" Dragon Lord Felgrand fired a meteor of golden light and incinerated the once mighty Darkfluid Firewall Dragon. Moments later, the second Blue-Eyes White Dragon shot a triple burst of destructive streams: and atomized the face-down Cyberse Gadget.

"Uh.. he cant take any damage this turn, Dharma." Wagner coughed. "Well duh, Wagner. I just wanted to see all three of my dragons on the field one more time." Dharma switched the first Blue-Eyes to defense mode."And I also want to do this one more time." For many turns now Dharma had held on to a very powerful dragon card. Only now could she give it the proper tributes. "I sacrifice monsters with a combined attackpower of ten thousand.. to summon the Ten Thousand Dragon!" Felgrand, Alternative White Dragon and the original Blue-Eyes White Dragons pooled their attackpoints together while the Abyss Dragons light still coursed through their veins. Over 10200 points of attack solidified into one large segmented golden dragon(10/10000/10000) [Zone 3] with a mane of white hair. "Is that.. the strongest dragon in existence?" Wagner gasped loudly. "Heh. You bet! It was stronger than Ra even! Now what are you gonna do, boss? Didn't you say you dont have any cards left in your extra deck?"

-TURN 11-

"No I dont. This is the first time I've ever been pushed into a corner like this.. I didn't even think it was possible. But, Dharma, that does not mean that this is the end." A confident smirk appeared on Charles' face. "Because I activate Pot of Avarice! I send five cards back to my deck, and draw two new cards!" His spell provided him with everything he would need. It returned the five monsters: Accesscode Talker, Decode Talker Heatsoul, Cyberse Witch, Firewall Dragon Darkfluid and Cyberse Gadget. "He got three link monsters back!?" Giganoto could not believe it. "Yes. This will be my final attack, which I am giving everything I have! I can banish Cynet Ritual from my graveyard, which creates two Cynet tokens!." He opened the portal to the cybernet to generate his two tadpole like cyberse tokens(4/0/0) [Zones 1 & 2]. "Then I sumon Cyberse Wizard! Each turn he can switch one monster to defense mode! And when he does, all monsters inflict piercing damage to him or her!" The original cybernet spellcaster appeared as well, and with a spell already aimed at the Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon.

"Wow. Now that's a classic!" Dharma almost regretted what she would do next. "But when a monster activates their effect, and I have a normal monster on my field, I can negate your effect with my Mystical Elf - Mystical Burst!" Dharma placed a blue-skinned blonde elf(4/800/2000) [Zone 2] in a green dress down besides the White Alternative Dragon. She clasped her hands in prayer and her words silenced the cybernetic magic of the Wizard. "Also, as soon as the battle phase starts.. Mystical Elf will special summon one other normal dragon from my graveyard! And all monsters have to attack it!" If she combined that effect with her trap card, the Ultimate Creature of Destruction, it would cost Charles all of his monsters.

He was aware of that. "Mystical Elf? If anything this proves that you were a fan long before me, Dharma. This could not end in any other way!" Charles moved on with the defragmentation of the Cynet tokens. Two cyberse who could be the link materials for the Cyberse Witch(800/LINK 2) {Down/Downright} [Extra Zone 1]. "I link summon Decode Talker Heatsoul!" As before, his soulburning Decode Knight required two effect monsters with different attributes. He sent the light-magic Cyberse Wizard and dark-magic Cyberse Witch to the graveyard and gave Heatsoul(2300/LINK 3) [Zone 1] his third shot. Heatsoul(2800 atk) also gained 500 attackpoints for pointing towards the Mystical Elf. "And then.. I activate Sextet Summon!" The other card he drew was a spell "A what summon?" A spell that made Jenna do a double-take. "Sextet! Its a formation of six musicians. Though not in this case... you will see what I mean! Sextet Summon banishes one link, pendulum, XYZ, synchro, fusion and ritual monster from the graveyard.. but they must all have the same type. And then I can special summon another monster with that type, anywhere from the main or extra deck!"

"So I banish Encode Talker, Antagonistic Intelligence ME-PSY-YA, Firewall Exceed Dragon, Cyberse Quantum Dragon, Cyberse Clock Dragon and Cyberse Magician! And that summons.. Firewall Dragon Darkfluid!" Charles' spell banished the six colors of the summoning spectrum to give life to the dragon powered by five of those elements. Of course without those cards, Darkfluid(3000/LINK 5) [Zone 3] would not gain any of its counters or powerboosts. Heatsoul(3300 atk) did get another powerboost however. "And now, I link summon Accesscode Talker, with both of my monsters!" The elements and materials of Heatsoul and Darkfluid continued to surge into his multi-elemental code paladin. Accesscode(2300/LINK 4) [Zone 1] could regain its complete form and increase his(7300 atk) attackpower by 1000 for each of the Firewall Dragons link markers. "That was a whole of pretty lights alright..." Bionis would be impressed if she hadn't seen that card appear thrice already. "Third time is the charm, Bionis."

"Three is the magic number yeah! But one is good too! I activate the Ultimate Creature of Destruction! I can make my Blue-Eyes immune to all card effects for the rest of the turn! And it cannot be destroyed. Any monster that attacks him will get destroyed instead!" Dharma could not delay her trap any longer, because her previous Mystical plans were thrown right out of the window by the Code Talker. "As well you should. I still have three attributes of link monsters in my graveyard: fire, light and darkness. So I can destroy up to three cards!" Charles fueled his Code Talker by banishing the LIGHT Linkross and DARK Cyberse Witch. One lance of holy and one lance of unholy energy were hurled straight towards Ten Thousand Dragon and the Mystical Elf. No matter their divine power of saintly protection, they were impaled and digitally torn to shreds by the Accesscoder. "And then he attacks the King of Dragons!" Now Charles could declare his attack free of worry. "Not if Kaiser Glider has anything to say about it!" Dharma reactivated her dragons special summon by tributing the King of Dragons. The Golden Kaiser Glider(7300/2200) [Zone 1] immediately copied the attackpoints of the strongest monster on the field, forcing Accesscode to back off.

"You saved yourself again, Dharma! But I still have the upper hand!" Charles moved towards the second main phase, a phase in which he could activate one of his trap cards. "I activate Packet Link! It summons level two or lower monsters to my field to zones marked by my link monsters. Right now there is only one, but I only need one! I special summon Texchanger!" Just in case Dharma found a way to overpower or destroy his Accesscode Talker, he would be able to defend himself with the green polygon cyberse toad(1/100/100) [Zone 2]. "Any attack declared will be blocked after Texchanger summons a normal cyberse from the deck." Charles explained and went on to banish Decode Talker Heatsoul from his graveyard to give Accesscode one more shot from its effect. The golden white lance covered itself in flames and burned right through the Golden Burst Kaiser Glider. ""This is it. The final stretch... I set another card, and end my turn!"

-TURN 12-

"Yeah, final." Dharma looked at her deck. Less than a handful of cards remained and she knew her deck well enough to realize that she could only pull off one more big trick. "Charles. Before this ends, I still want to ask. You want to destroy the world key, right?" This would be her last turn, the card she drew made that clear. "I do, yes. But we cannot make this decision by ourselves, regardless of who wins." He spoke with a tone of absolute certainty. "No I guess not." She did not sound the same. "Do you.. think we should do something else?" He wondered where that feeling could have come from. "Well.. its complicated. I had an idea. But I will tell you about it.. after this." Dharma gave him a smile and revealed her drawn card. "After I activate Dragons Mirror! I fuse the three Blue-Eyes White Dragons in my graveyard and create the Blue-Eyes Alternative Ultimate Dragon!" The spell fused three materials in the graveyard through banishment: two normal Blue-Eyes White Dragons and the Alternative White Dragon as well. That last material caused her three-headed fusion dragon(12/4500/3800) [Extra Zone 2] to appear with a shimmering body covered in crystal-embedded scales. "The Ultimate Dragon!?"

"This is how its gonna end, Charles! Since I used one Alternative Blue-Eyes for this fusion, she can destroy up to three cards on the field!" "And my Ultimate Dragon cannot attack during this turn if she uses her power! But my Blue-Eyes White Dragon can!" The blue-eyed duelist shifted her normal white dragon back to attack position. "Its over! You have won!" Isaac stepped forward. "That means the choice is up to you and you alone!" He started clapping to applaud her. "It aint over yet, Creatorguy. Before I do this.. I want everyone to know what I think should happen!" She looked at the whole crowd of duelists, including miss Echo. "And if you disagree, we will go with the original plan. But at least hear me out.."
