On with the story
Nighttime at Natsu's house
Natsu was walking around in the dark hallway as it was night and the place was quiet
He holds a glass of water as Meredy had woke him up, wanting a glass of water but was too afraid of the dark to get it
Natsu went back to his room where Meredy was sleeping with Éclair, both resting peacefully
He sighs with a smile as he placed the glass of water on the table lamp beside the bed before he saw how the water was slowly freezing up
"what do you want?" Natsu muttered out as his eyes glowed red and black while behind him in the shadows, Cocytus appeared
"nothing" Coytus replied "I am merely here to observe"
"of what?" Natsu said as he waves his right hand up and then to the side, creating a magic barrier around the bed that prevents any harm to come to Éclair and Meredy while not letting any sound come in
"the first woman who will have your child" Cocytus replied, eying Éclair before he got grabbed by the neck by Natsu whose hand had turned into a black flaming claw
Cocytus grunted as he stares down upon Natsu whose eyes turns demonic while black markings were spreading all over his body
"do not think for a second that I will let you or him or anyone get close to them" Natsu growled out "I lost many I loved, but not them…I will not let any of you come close and that means I will not let any of you live after touching any of them, do you understand?"
Cocytus grunted in excruciating pain as Natsu's flames were burning the skin of his neck
"that's not nice, Natsu" a voice spoke as Natsu glanced to the side and sees Zeref walking out from the shadows of the corner "is that anyway to treat an old comrade of yours?"
"do I look like I'm in the mood to see you?" Natsu asked as his right eye turned reptilian and glowed crimson red "do i?"
"it appears so" Zeref replied before looking to Éclair and her pregnant stomach covered under the blanket "so…she has your first child within you?"
"don't even think of getting any closer" Natsu said as he soon throws Cocytus to the floor, the wolfman holds his hands to his slightly burned neck "I don't care who and what you are, but I'm not letting anyone get their hands on them. Not a touch to their body nor to their hair"
Zeref closed his eyes and merely chuckled before he opens them and looks at Natsu with his eyes glowing in a bright red color
"is that a fact?" Zeref asked as they soon standoff against each other
Natsu glares at Zeref who returns it with his own. The atmosphere turns extremely tense as no words were spoken
Everything was quiet till the sound of Meredy whimpering in her sleep was heard as the child was slowly getting up
"my my, seems that our little chat woke her up" Zeref said with a smile as his glowing red eyes dimmed
Natsu still glares at Zeref as the man chuckled before shadows started to surround him and Cocytus who got back up
"we will have a continuation of our conversation at a later time, Natsu" Zeref said as the shadows started to cover him and Cocytus "and Natsu…Congratulations on becoming a father…a real one at this time"
Zeref and Cocytus disappeared as they left the premises
Natsu's eyes glowed red before the markings on his body slowly disappeared and he turns his attention to Meredy who sat up on the bed while rubbing her sleepy eyes
He went to her as he grabs hold of the frozen glass of water before heating it up with his magic, turning it back into a warm glass of water
"Papa.." Meredy called out in a low voice before Natsu sat down on the bed and gives her the glass of water
Meredy holds the glass of water before she started drinking it while Natsu pats her head gently and caresses it
After the glass of water was finished, Natsu takes it from Meredy and placed it on the table
Meredy laid back down on the bed before Natsu joined in
The man caresses his daughter's head before he turns his attention to his sleeping pregnant girlfriend. Éclair sleeps so peacefully like she had no care of the world which made Natsu smile in seeing her peaceful face
Natsu combs some strands of hair from her face, to behind her ear as he just stares at her face for a minute or so, enjoying how beautiful she was in her sleep
He caresses her cheeks with the back of his knuckles before he leans over and kisses her cheeks
"no matter what…no matter the cost…I'm going to protect you, and our child…" Natsu whispered silently as he caresses her head gently and softly
In a dark office room
Zeref was sitting by his office table as the man had an amused smirk on
"what shall we do now, master?" Cocytus asked as his neck was bandaged up from the burns that were caused by Natsu
"nothing" Zeref replied "he states that he will not let any of us touch his wife who carries his offspring within her. I am someone who is not that keen on taking advantage of that. So we will do nothing"
"then?" Cocytus asked again "what shall we do at the moment?"
"for now…tell the others to remain on standby and do not try to act on their own" Zeref replied "I know how some of them are so itching to spill blood"
"very well" Cocytus replied while doing a bow
"and while you're going to tell them," Zeref said as he takes the paper scroll that had the golden ring symbols which he soon tears to pieces "get someone to send me a report on our guest at the moment, I wish to see how many has she given birth to"
"as you wish" Cocytus replied before disappearing into the shadows
Zeref then leans back against his chair before a hologram lacrima screen appeared upon his desk
"it will be a matter of time, Natsu" Zeref said looking at the lacrima screen "only a matter of time till this world's citizens realized just who and what you are"
In the lacrima screen, it shows Kyria in some sort of lab as black roots like cables were attached to her limbs, looking like they were rooting into her body and was pumping some sort of black liquid into her as well. Kyria looks like she is in excruciating pain but the one thing that is extremely gruesome was the fact that her stomach was bloated and from her vagina came out small red and black eggs. Scientists collect the egg before one fell down and cracked, inside the cracked egg was a small black deformed imp like creature that was twitching before it died
"the tests aren't going that well with her having the eggs, huh?" Zeref said before he waves his hand to the side and the lacrima screen switched scenes
He now sees a room which looks to be a children's bedroom
"oh well..at least Sayla's child is having much more progress than hers" Zeref said as in the bedroom was Sayla, who was carrying an infant child with a mixture of salmon and black hair, she was in the middle of breastfeeding the child who looks male and had golden horns on each side of his head "as expected..it'd be best to use a mother to give birth to a child. His own child"
