Simba and Nala were glad to be in their adult forms, and they realized that they needed to be adults again, otherwise, Because they needed to fulfill royal duties that grownups
Admittedly, for the king and queen, them being kids again for a while was fun while it lasted. All good things must come to an end some time.
Young Kion was glad that everything was back to normal, and everything was the same as it was before. It was another usual day of patrolling with his friends and the only skirmish they had was Reirei and her jackal family causing more trouble. it wss rather good because jackals were nowhere near as powerful as the Ennedi cats that Kion and his parents faced before.
Reirei and her dysfunctional family were more of a nuisance than an actually threat now. There are far more dangerous things out there in the world than just those stupid canids.
Kion wondered if he will run into those Ennedis again since those three brutes put up a good fight, and the fact that they are taller and more muscular than lions would be. Not only that, but he was impressed by how a really old baboon named Rafiki was able to fight off those cats all by himself. For an old man drill, Rafiki really knew how to good all-out on his opponents.
He was starting to wish that Chikelu, or Adewale was there to help him and his parents, but he realized that they probably weren't needed in his time of need.
"Ono," Kion said, "do you see anything weird or suspicious from up there?"
"Nothing too suspicious, Kion." the cattle egret replied.
"You know, i just had a thought." said Fuli.
"what's that?" Bunga asked
"Maybe because of your fight against Inuwa, maybe the bad guys are becoming more scared of you." the cheetah speculated.
Thinking deep in his thoughts, Kion realized that his cheetah friend was right, and less animals that are dangerous and evil are starting to realize how capable Kion is with his powerful Roar of the Elders.
This means that there will be less danger in the Pride Lands with Kion around. Of course, there will be some bigger dangers like the Lion's Bane and other adversaries that are far more dangerous than Reirei and her jackal family.
To his friends, he said to them, "Yeah. everyone knows how powerful i am."
"Yeah! leave it to your Roar of the Elders to take down any bad guy that tries to disturb the peace in the Pride Lands." Beshte remarked.
"Lion Guard! Lion Guard!" said a cackling voice from above. The kids looked up to reveal Zazu the hornbill, looking frantic and panicked as if there was a massive disease running like wildfire. "Oh Kion, thank heavens ai have found you!" he hovered down to the kids' level while panting to catch his breath.
"Zazu?" asked the cub. "What's the matter?"
"Some... small group of creatures are coming here. They are almost completely hairless with hair on the top of their heads, and they walk on two legs like an ostrich! Two legs!"
"Calm down, Banana Beak." Fuli sighed.
"Mr Banana Beak." Zazu seethed. "Just get to Pride Rock so we can discuss the matter at hand. I know you and your friends are powerful, but we don't know what these... things are capable of."
"OK."
following the Horbill back to Pride Rock, Kion was met with his father and mother, along with his sister and brothers-in-law. "Ah Kion, there you are." said Simba.
"Zazu, what seems to be the problem?" asked Kovu.
"Strange creatures. wearing weird fabric and so... unusual. I cannot put my feathers on it, but there's just something... detestable about these animals, or whatever they may-" he began coughing and he was hacking up a storm while on his knees.
"Zazu?" Nala said with her and the other lions closing in on him. "Are you ok?"
"I'm fine, your majesty." Zazu continued coughing. "I am just not as young as I used to be."
Simba looked worried about the majordomo, and his health. "Zazu..." he said, "I hate to say this, but... you might have to retire."
"Moi? retire?" Zazu stood up as he stopped coughing. "Don't be ridiculous. Ha! old age cannot stop me from performing my duties." However, it was easier said than done. The old bird continued coughing and hacking again, indicating that he might not have much longer. "and besides," he continued, "we all don't know who will replace me when I depart from this world."
"Fair enough." said Kiara. "you're right."
"We don't really know your replacement." Simba added.
"But we will figure something out." Simba said.
"I hate to break it to you, you old fart," said Vitani, "but you might not have that much time left."
"Well, if that is true," said Zazu, "then I should die doing what I love to do best: serving this royal and humble family until my last breath."
He made one last cough and he looked at the king.
"Well, just be careful, Zazu." Simba said. "you're not as vigorous as you used to."
"That, sadly, I have to agree." Zazu admitted.
"Guys," Kion said, "I'm going to look at these creatures thay Zazu keeps telling us about and see if I can do something about them."
"Wait a minute! wait a minute." Kiara stepped up. "There's no way I'm going lose you to these animals. I know you have the Roar of the Elders, Kion, but what if they overpower you? I don't want you to get hurt."
Young Kion looked down and said: "Maybe I can reason with them and see if they are dangerous."
"But what if you can't?" Simba said.
"You don't trust me?" Kion looked a little doubtful.
"No! No! No! of course not." said Vitani. "You're a tough little squirt, but we all have limits."
"Yeah, we don't know what we would do without you, Kion."
"They might be right, Kion." said Nala. "Maybe you shouldn't see them."
"Guys... I can do this. I took down Inuwa, and you should trust me with this." He was about to head outside, but was stopped by Kiara.
"No!" said Kiara. "You're my little brother and I can't let you do that." she looked stern at first, and it scared Kion a little. she had a more relaxed face when she said: "at least, not without me to help you out."
Kion then smiled seeing at how supportive his big sister was to him.
