As Enterprise's aircraft descended on Oahu, the formation broke to engage the lesser sirens that were scrambling about the ground below, caught completely off guard by the Union Carrier's sudden attack.
Several surviving Strategist class carriers were able to situate themselves to mount a counter attack, launching siren aircraft into the air over Oahu, only for the aircraft to be immediately engaged and blown out of the sky by Enterprise's Skyraiders.
"Nothing you can possibly do will save you. My peace... The peace of the world at large... you shattered it in an instant. May you find mercy in whatever afterlife you end up in, because for what you've done, you'll find none from me." Enterprise spoke as she leapt from the canopy of her plane onto the ground, rolling to arrest her momentum.
Enterprise looked around as she rolled to her feet. Sirens and sailors alike had begun to fight amongst themselves. The sirens fighting to maintain control, while the sailors, spurred on by Enterprise's sudden appearance, were fighting for freedom.
"SAILORS OF THE UNION! OUR WAR IS NOT OVER! FIGHT! FIGHT AS IF YOUR VERY LIVES DEPEND UPON THE OUTCOME!" Enterprise cried out as she took several sirens out with a single shot from her bow.
All around, the cries of anger flooded the air as soldiers of the Union ramped up their fight, lead by the fearless carrier before them.
Enterprise looked around, finding the armory being guarded by Peace Breaker class Siren Battleships, who were taking an extreme amount of pleasure in mowing down any sailor that approached.
"To deny my men arms, is to suffer defeat. Go, sailors! Take up arms and fight!" Enterprise shouted as she let loose two powerful shots from her bow, striking down the battleships where they stood, sending them crashing through the doors to the armory, allowing the sailors to flood in and arm themselves with rifles and handguns along with whatever explosives they could get their hands on. The skies filled with the sounds of gunfire and explosions as Sailors of every rank slowly mowed down whatever sirens they came across, aided by the constant bussing and strafing of Enterprise's aircraft.
"Enterprise." One of the sailors spoke as he ran to her.
"What is it sailor?" Enterprise asked, taking a breath and eliminating a siren that was attempting to sneak up on him.
"We should be able to hold out long enough for an evacuation to one of the lesser controlled islands of Hawaii, what's our plan?" The sailor asked.
"The Vice admiral is dead. He was gunned down in the bunker before I came to assist. Who is your commanding officer?" Enterprise asked as the sailor looked at his feet. Enterprise noticed the insignia of a 2nd Lieutenant.
"They executed base command upon learning of the Vice Admiral's transmission... I'm the highest ranking officer on base... but I haven't been given any contingency orders." The 2nd Lieutenant admitted.
"Would you and these men like to continue our fight against the sirens?" Enterprise asked.
"It would be an honor to fight alongside the Big E once again." The 2nd Lieutenant said as he snapped a salute.
"I don't see any ships in port. Did they sink the rest?" Enterprise queried.
"After that little submarine stole Iowa and bruised that siren carrier's ego, she ordered every ship on base scuttled. We lost nearly 400 men when she sunk one of our medical ships." The 2nd Lieutenant spoke somberly.
"Did they save any cubes? Any of the girls that were here on base?" Enterprise asked.
"The Tennessee class sisters and Alwyn. The others were lost to the tides moving about. We don't know where they are." The 2nd lieutenant said.
"Then wake them up. I can take roughly 2,000 below deck on my own vessel, but by my count, we have nearly 5,000 here." Enterprise guessed.
"That would be about correct. After the Iowa left, any who didn't keep their heads down were shot. So this is all that remains." The 2nd lieutenant said as the sounds of gunfire began to lessen as Sirens became more and more scarce.
"I would hate to leave the island undefended." Enterprise pondered aloud.
"The other islands, namely Honolulu had even more Sirens than here. Once they get wind of this, they'll attack and replenish their forces within days. We wouldn't be able to hold out against an assault, not without a sizable fleet here to help ward them off." The 2nd Lieutenant deduced.
"And I don't think I can be all that you would need to hold them off. Perhaps it would be best for us to evacuate completely and join up with Azur Lane." Enterprise said as Grimm descended from the sky, landing on her outstretched arm, screeching his approval.
"If that is what you believe is best, then we shall make ready." The 2nd Lieutenant said as her ran towards the command tower on base to get on the PA system.
Offshore, the Enterprise weighed anchor and began moving towards pearl harbor, maneuvering around as to deter any threats that could ambush her as she made her way into port.
Once the last shots were fired, and the bodies of the sirens were slowly stacked into a pile in the courtyard of the base, the whole of the island seemed to freeze as the Enterprise pulled into port. The looks of terror and confusion spread rapidly among the sailors who had stopped to look.
"What is that?!" One of the sailors pointed to the carrier, clearly much bigger than any seen before. Her new hull almost 400 feet longer than the one they had seen her with during the war.
"This... is me." Enterprise said as the sailors all looked amongst themselves before staring back at the gargantuan aircraft carrier, seriously reconsidering their knowledge of how much power the Kansen held.
"While I look different now... I am still the same girl you lot fought with against the Sakura these past four years. Nothing but my hull has changed." Enterprise assured them as the looks of terror turned to ones of courage and strength, as the men realized they now had the worlds most advanced carrier, piloted by the Hero of the Pacific, the Big E.
"All Hands, this is 2nd Lieutenant Good. As we all saw, Base command has been wiped out, leaving me in charge of this base. My first... and only order in running this base, is to order the immediate evacuation of Pearl Harbor after the reactivation of Tennessee, California, and Alwyn to escort Enterprise across the Pacific to link up with Azur lane. Those of you that have any kind of scientific leaning, you are to board Enterprise and get to know this mysterious vessel as soon as possible so we may provide the Commander of Azur Lane with our findings about his newest Carrier. Gunners, you all are to board the Tennessee class sisters and assist where needed, along with general purpose staff and enlisted. Should those three vessels not be enough to house everyone, Alwyn will take whoever is left. Pearl Harbor has fallen again, my brothers. But this time... it was on our terms. We retreat today, for victory in the future. Your orders have been given! Fall out and tend to them immediately, I want to be Oscar Mike by 0530." The 2nd Lieutenant spoke, prompting every sailor to pull out their watches. "0205."
Isaac was awoken by a not-so-shy Norfolk who had entered his room while he was resting next to a deeply satisfied Friedrich.
"Isaac." She whispered.
"Hmm?" Isaac asked.
"I have urgent news. Please get dressed and meet me on the bridge." Norfolk spoke softly as she scampered out of the room and down the hall.
Isaac stood and stretched, allowing his muscles to readjust to the waking world before throwing on a pair of shorts and a shirt before kissing Friedrich's cheek softly.
"I shall return my love." He whispered as he walked out of the room.
Isaac made his wat to the bridge and was met by Norfolk sitting at his desk.
"To what do I owe the wake-up call?" Isaac pondered.
"There's something coming." Norfolk said bluntly.
"What is coming?" Isaac asked.
"Something strong enough to force Empress to do battle with it and then escape." Norfolk explained.
"That sounds very bad. I assume Odin knew as well?" Isaac asked as he took a seat across from Norfolk.
"Yes. I notified her right away as to not disturb your business with the Ironblood's. We made the joint decision to send the subs out to do recon, just in case this thing isn't a normal ship and has a much more terrifying agenda." Norfolk said.
"I also noticed that Zara was missing on the way back from Shinano's vessel. Mind explaining?" Isaac asked.
"Omaha requested to be returned to the fleet. Odin approved of it and sent Zara to replace her in Intrepid's fleet." Norfolk explained.
"I see. Going back to this thing you sensed. Did anything feel different about it?" Isaac asked.
"Empress seemed to be using more than half of her available power to combat whatever this thing is... wait... something's happening." Norfolk said as another powerful wave hit her.
"Are you alright?" Isaac asked.
"Pearl Harbor has gone completely dark of any Siren Activity. And considering the time and proximity to the Empress event, it would be foolish of us to write this off as coincidence. Whatever fought Empress, just wiped out every siren on base at Pearl Harbor." Norfolk said as she looked at Isaac.
"Give the fleet the night to rest. Tomorrow raise the fleet to red alert. If this thing kills Sirens, it stands to reason it can kill us. Until we ascertain whether it's friendly or not, we will have 1/3 of the fleet awake at all times to keep an eye on the open ocean leading to us." Isaac ordered.
"Understood Isaac." Norfolk said as she made a note.
"Anything else?" Isaac asked.
"I replied to the head of the RAN with a letter." Norfolk said.
"And?" Isaac asked.
"It was in response to K-9 going missing. I told them we knew nothing about it." Norfolk said.
"You lied? What if they come looking?" Isaac asked.
"We have their flagship, and more guns than they have access to. They can't do anything if they decide to come looking." Norfolk replied.
"Devious little cruiser, aren't you?" Isaac said with a small smile as he ruffled her hair.
"Only for you, Isaac." Norfolk said with a smile as she stood and walked to him, kissing his cheek before heading off to bed.
"Goodnight, Norfolk." Isaac called.
"Goodnight, Isaac. By the way, Friedrich is up... you best be ready when you return." Norfolk replied with a giggle.
Isaac sighed.
"Duty calls." Isaac said as he walked back to his quarters, into the waiting arms of a half asleep battleship.
"Don't leave me again, dear husband... the bed gets too cold without you in it." Friedrich groaned as she pressed her naked form against him.
"I won't. Just had some things to take care of." Isaac whispered as he pulled Friedrich's head to his chest, holding her close before heading back to sleep.
