Unova Part 9

On their way to the next city, Ash and the group meet up with Nate and Rosa on the way. "Wow, Ash, Cilan, this is the best cooking I have ever had." Nate says.

"Why thank you." Ash says, and Iris brings a plate of apples and she says, "I brought you guys some apples for dessert."

"Huh? Apples aren't true desserts...chocolates are much more like desserts." Rosa mutters, and they all laugh.

Ash's Oshawott, however, pops out of his Poké Ball and happily takes one for himself. Iris throws an apple for Axew to catch. Though Axew's apple rolls down a hill instead, as Axew gives chase, an Emolga from earlier catches the apple first.

"There you are, Axew." Ash, Lillie, and Iris find the Pokemon and they notice the Emolga, who returns the apples to them.

"Wow, an Emolga...that is so cute." Lillie says.

Ash notices her look with the plate of apples, he asks, "Let me guess, do you want to eat these apples?"

Emolga is surprised that Ash can understand her, but she quickly nods and Axew decides to give her the apple. Emolga takes the apple and happily eats it. The others also come and Rosa says, "What is taking you guys so long?"

"Sorry, we have some wild Pokemon who wants to have our apples." Ash says as they refer to the Emolga. Golly says, "Emolga looks really cute, though it isn't a Ghost Type..."

Emolga is surprised to see a lot of people, as she quickly flies away, "Hey! Wait up!" Lillie yells as she rushes off, Ash chases her and the others are frowning. "Here we go again..."

As they search for the Emolga, an apple core hits Pikachu in the head, and they look up to find Emolga sleeping. Pikachu tries to climb the tree and grabs Emolga, but with an accident, both Electric Type Pokemon fall down the hillside and they stumble upon a Swoobat's nest.

After Emolga fights off the Swoobat with Discharge, they rest at a nearby lake. Emolga decides to play a little game in the water by throwing Hidden Power orbs into the water, creating ripples. However, she accidentally makes one way too strong, creating a big wave in the lake that splashes a nearby Swoobat. So the whole nest of Swoobat begins to chase them again, but they escape.

"Did we get away from them?" Lillie asks as they are now hiding behind the rock with Pikachu and Emolga in their arms, but then they start to hear a sound and Ash says, "They are using Round to locate us..." Ash mutters.

"What are we going to do?" Lillie asks with worry, and then Emolga suddenly flies up, and then it uses the move Attract, but the female Swoobat are unaffected.

"It can use Attract..." Lillie says, "But the female ones can still attack..."

Both Pikachu and Emolga use Discharge at the Swoobat, but there are still more Swoobat. Suddenly, Oshawott appears again and prepares to defend Emolga. However, he is quickly defeated by a powerful Charge Beam and recalled. So Pikachu and Emolga use a Thunderbolt-Hidden Power combo to defeat the remaining Swoobat.

"You are awesome!" Ash and Lillie hug the two Pokemon, and in celebration, Emolga uses Discharge, unintentionally shocking everyone. After getting back together, Ash decides to capture one of the Swoobat, for his Pokedex.

Unova Dex Entry No.34 Woobat: The Bat Pokemon: Psychic and Flying Type. The heart-shaped mark left on a body after a Woobat has been attached to it is said to bring good fortune.

Unova Dex Entry No.35 Swoobat: The Courting Pokemon: Psychic and Flying Type. Evolved from Woobat with High Friendship. It shakes its tail vigorously when it emits ultrasonic waves strong enough to reduce concrete to rubble.

After getting back to the group, Cilan decides to make a special dinner for the group, consisting of apples. Emolga is the one that is happy the most, and Lillie asks, "So Emolga, do you want to come with us?"

Emolga agrees and Lillie takes out a Pokeball, easily captures the Emolga.

Unova Dex Entry No.94 Emolga: The Sky Squirrel Pokemon: Electric and Flying Type. It glides on its outstretched membrane while shocking foes with the electricity stored in the pouches on its cheeks.

The next day, Rosa asks Ash to help her train with her Pokemon, and Ash agrees by having Emolga battling against her Pignite. Emolga lands a few hits with Hidden Power and Pignite retaliates with Heat Crash. Though before it could make contact, Emolga uses Attract to stop Pignite in his tracks.

"Return." Rosa says as she sends out her new Pokemon, a Minccino. Rosa's Minccino is a male and she has him use Attract, but Emolga also uses Attract which cancels out Minccino's. Minccino then charges in and begins tickling Emolga who in desperation uses Volt Switch.

"Wait, I didn't command the attack..." Ash says, and much to their surprise is that Iris' Excadrill is the one that was sent out, Emolga also doesn't go back into the Pokeball, but it just stands afar from them.

"This is an unusual Volt Switch that I have ever seen." Cilan says. "Volt Switch forces the Trainer to swap the active Pokémon with another on in their party, but first of all, it swaps with Pokemon that are not Ash's, and second of all, it didn't go inside the Pokeball."

"That sure is something else." Lillie says as she picks up Emolga, "Emolga, please do us a favor and listen to Ash before using Volt Switch."

Emolga pouts and she reluctantly agrees. Rosa then orders Minccino to use Hyper Voice. As he inhales to launch the attack, Emolga uses Volt Switch and causes Pansage, who had been taking a nap inside his Poké Ball, to come out. Pansage is then hit by the Hyper Voice, causing him to become furious and launch a Solar Beam at Minccino.

"So Minccino is unable to battle, Pansage is the winner?" Golly asks.

Ash says, "Emolga. I know you like to use Volt Switch. But please just listen to my command this time."

Emolga can only sigh as Rosa sends back her Pignite, however isn't interested in battling and uses Volt Switch to send out Snivy then runs off.

Lillie says, "Ash, I'll find her, you continue battling with Rosa." Ash nods and then battles Pignite with his Snivy. Lillie finds Emolga sleeping in a nearby tree and, while everyone is watching, Snivy uses Vine Whip to get her down.

"Emolga, this is the third time you are doing this. Do you really dislike battling that much to keep using Volt Switch?" Emolga nods and Ash says, "You can just say so, we aren't going to force you to battle if you don't want to."

Emolga is surprised that all she needs is to talk to Ash and she could get away from the battle, and she nods. As lunchtime comes, Lillie gives every one of the Pokemon their apples to eat. Emolga downs her apple quickly then uses Attract on Oshawott, Tepig, Scraggy, and Swadloon, causing them to give her all their apples. After lunch, the Attract wears off and the Pokémon, realizing their lunch had suddenly disappeared, began fighting.

Pikachu attempted to break up the fight, but only got hit by everyone's attacks. As the Trainers come over to break up the fighting, Pikachu electrocutes everyone causing them all to fall over.

"So you don't know how your food was gone? Is that what you want to say?" Ash asks, and the Pokemon nods. Cilan says, "It seems like...It's thinking time!"

The others are looking at him with a weird expression, Cilan says, "Now their food is gone, and none of them have eaten..which means that there is a thief that stole the apples."

"So who is the thief?" Iris asks, annoyed at Cilan's behavior.

Snivy lifts Emolga and they notice Emolga seems much chubbier than the other Pokémon. Cilan says, "I got it, judging by the belly, Emolga is the culprit behind the missing apples."

"But how did she do that?" Nate asks, and Cilan says, "It is obvious! She uses Attract!"

Lillie says, "Emolga, I know you really like to eat apples, but you should just ask us for more, not stealing others."

Emolga lowers her head in shame, and everyone forgives her. Emolga notices that Snivy sees right through its innocent act and the two exchange glares.

When it is time for a nap, Ash and Lillie couldn't sleep as they are worried about Emolga, so they decide to take a walk with Emolga. But as they notice the tree of apples with Watchog guarding them, Emolga turns to Ash and Lillie, who decides to help them by using Oshawott and Haxorus to battle. But their battle immediately woke up a group of Simisage, Simisear and Simipour, who becomes enraged and they manage to chase the Watchog away.

"I think this is going to be bad..." Ash says, and much to their surprise, Oshawott, Haxorus, Pikachu, Sylveon, Zoroark, and Snivy have trouble battling them as every one of them is going to get knocked out.

"Emolga, I know you hate to battle, but we really need your help." Lillie says, and Emolga, who has been grateful for Ash and Lillie's kindness, agrees to help by sending sporadic Hidden Powers. With the combined attack of other Pokemon, the three of them are finally defeated and Ash and Lillie capture them.

Unova Dex Entry No.18 Pansage: The Grass Monkey Pokemon: Grass Type. It's good at finding berries and gathers them from all over. It's kind enough to share them with friends.

Unova Dex Entry No.19 Simisage: The Thorn Monkey Pokemon: Grass Type. Evolved from Pansage with a Leaf Stone. It strikes its enemies with a thorn-covered tail. The leaf on its head is bitter.

Unova Dex Entry No.20 Pansear: The High Temp Pokemon: Fire Type. Very intelligent, it roasts berries before eating them. It likes to help people.

Unova Dex Entry No.21 Simisear: The Ember Pokemon: Fire Type. Evolved from Pansear with a Fire Stone. When it gets excited, embers rise from its head and tail and it gets hot. For some reason, it loves sweets.

Unova Dex Entry No.22 Panpour: The Spray Pokemon: Water Type. The water stored inside the tuft on its head is full of nutrients. It waters plants with it using its tail.

Unova Dex Entry No.23 Simipour: The Geyser Pokemon: Water Type. Evolved from Panpour with a Water Stone. It prefers places with clean water. When its tuft runs low, it replenishes it by siphoning up water with its tail.

"Thank you for your help, Emolga." Lillie says, and the other Pokemon are also happy with her, except for Snivy, who just glares at her before giving a small nod.

After getting back to the group, they get a scolding for leaving them alone, but after that, Nate and Rosa decide to part ways with them as they are continuing finding Team Plasma.

When they are continuing their journey forward, they meet a rain and they notice a Mansion, so they decide to go there for shelter.

"Geez, I feel like this is going to be the same thing…" Lillie says.

"What do you mean?" Iris asks.

"First, we meet the rain, second, we run into the Ghost House, third, we find the Ghost Pokemon and learning they are playing pranks with us." Ash replies.

"You have done this more often." Cilan says.

Golly says, "But I really want to see what the Ghost Type Pokemon we are going to encounter this time."

True to Ash's words, they are facing floating objects, until Pikachu uses Thunderbolt and shows a bunch of Litwicks. Ash gasps and says, "Oh no."

"What's wrong? They are just a bunch of Litwick." Iris asks.

"Litwick is Pokemon who suck others' life force to lit their candle, they can also guide us to the Spirit World." Ash replies, and it causes the others to pale.

The gang starts to run through the door, but they are lost and they get inside the room, they also notice familiar faces on the ground.

"Team Rocket?" Ash yells as they try to wake them up. They notice their life force has been sucked by the Litwick and they are weak. Just then, the four Litwick manages to chase at them and they cover the whole room with the entrance to the Spirit World.

"Play with us…" They say in unison as they gather closer and closer, Lillie says, "I think I remember the same thing happened at Sinnoh…"

Golly says, "You mean the time when I was dead and I tried to drag you guys with me? I guess it is similar."

"I don't think I want to hear the full story about that." Cilan says, but the Litwich decides to use Shadow Ball and Inferno to blast them. Team Rocket and the group decide to stop with the truce and they attack at the Litwick together. Before they can finish the four of them, a Lampent comes and uses Shadow ball to blast the 4 Litwick into the Spirit World, but Golly manages to throw the Pokeball and capture one while the other three are gone in whiteness. The room is back to normal and so does Team Rocket's life force, they didn't want to stay in the mansion for longer as they quickly run away.

"I am sorry for these 4, they have been doing this for a long time." Lampent says.

"It is fine, thank you for helping us with everything." Lillie says, then Lampent decides to join Ash's group, as they welcome him.

Unova Dex Entry No.114 Litwick: The Candle Pokemon: Ghost and Fire Type. Its flame is usually out, but it starts shining when it absorbs life force from people or Pokémon.

Unova Dex Entry No.115 Lampent: The Lamp Pokemon: Ghost and Fire Type. Evolved from Litwick at LV:41. The spirits it absorbs fuel its baleful fire. It hangs around hospitals waiting for people to pass on.

They have met another rival named Stephan, while the gang often pronounces his name wrong. Oshawott wants to challenge Stephan's Blitzle, during the battle, his Scallop is gone, causing the Otter Pokemon to panic. Ash can only call off the battle as he asks Lillie and the others to help him find the Scallop but in vain. So that night, they are trying to train Oshawott without the use of Scallop.

The next day, Ash and Stephan have a rematch, and in the end, Oshawott manages to defeat the Blitzle. Lillie also manages to find the Scallop with the help of a wild Blitzle, who Lillie decides to capture and takes her to the Scallop.

Unova Dex Entry No.29 Blitzle: The Electrified Pokemon: Electric Type. Its mane shines when it discharges electricity. They use the frequency and rhythm of these flashes to communicate.

I decide to do some changes in this chapter, first of all, I decide to have Iris' Emolga given to Ash, as she is a Champion and it will be better if Ash has it. And second, I decide to change the Lampent into the good side so that Ash can capture it. I hope you like this chapter.
