As the group continues along their path, they find an abandoned and incredibly complicated machine, labeled as a "Gateway console". Knight Nikku and Skeletone both turn to look at Shugi, who lets go of Li'l Bleedy to raise his hands. Li'l Bleedy powers on, and shakily hovers back into the air.
"Like, why are you guys looking at me? I'm just a chemist!" Shugi says, but when Knight Nikku and Skeletone don't stop staring at him, he sighs and approaches the console, looking over the controls. He goes at it for a while, seemingly making progress and then restarting on several occasions, until eventually, a strange portal appears, and three incredibly rare and incredibly powerful Artifacts known as Canon Breach Orbs are deposited in front of the group. Shugi picks one of them up, and then stows it in his fanny pack, while Howler's pants gobble up another, and the last one is magnetized to Melvin's inventory due to being slightly less round and more cylindrical than the other orbs. The group heads north, locating and activating a teleporter near a statue of an unsettling glasses-wearing figure, though one of the lenses of the glasses seems to be missing.
Meanwhile, Melvin, ignoring all the random junk that keeps getting sucked into his inventory, heads back to Citrun's shop, using a coupon to buy the dusty old notebook from him. Citrun hands it over, and Melvin looks at the cover, which reads "Notes of the Forgotten". Melvin then meets back up with the rest of his group, and they head east of where they encountered GD Travis, finding an open area known as the Greasy Grotto. The group is suddenly surrounded by a horde of eight angry greaselings, closing in from all sides. Melvin attempts to punch one of them, but he misses, and ends up punching a tree instead, which is especially pathetic but also somewhat impressive because there are no trees nearby. Blingle pulls out her magic flute and plays an anti-existence jingle, causing two of the greaselings to dematerialize on the spot. Viola bursts out from the ground, swallowing three more greaselings whole, and one of the remaining three greaselings slips on its own grease puddle and dies. Jumbo and Viola quickly eat the last two greaselings, allowing for the group to look around the grotto uninterrupted. Blingle finds a big box of Bojangles chicken n' biscuits, and gobbles down the whole thing hungrily, while Bullseye Woody grabs a Frycook's Spatula that he found lying around. Heading north, the group finds a restaurant labeled as "Pizza? Place", and walks inside. They are promptly greeted by Pizza Man, the keeper of the restaurant.
"Mamma mia torta di pizza ah spaghetti polpetta gnam gnam fettuccine mozzarella pomodoro polpetta pizza spaghetti piccante rucola piccante e poi uno scheletro saltò fuori." Pizza Man exclaims happily, which roughly translates to "We sell pizza, our motto is 'you'll be amazed what you find in each box!'."
"Alright, gimme one, I wanna see." Blingle says, handing Pizza Man the appropriate funds. Pizza Man gives Blingle a box, and when Blingle opens it, she finds a Danny Devito mask inside. Melvin buys two more, finding a stop sign and a blank CD. Blingle decides to grab a few more, obtaining a giant penny, a cookie cake, a Shaq mask, and a frisbee, and Tora also buys one, getting a manhole cover. Melvin buys another, getting a blank vinyl to go with his blank CD, and one more nets him a globe. Melvin buys one last box for good measure, getting a giant Canadian penny. Blingle, feeding into her crippling gambling addiction, plops down a huge pile of gold to buy numerous more boxes, and begins opening them all up. She gets a ring frisbee, a large cooked egg, a giant nickel, a trash can lid, a slab of unidentified flesh, a square frisbee, a flat globe, a bicycle wheel, an Obama mask, an analog clock, an actual pizza, albeit one that doesn't have any sauce on it, a digital clock, a tire, a cylindrical globe, a dodecahedral frisbee, a single large dead skin cell shed by Thicc and Creamy years ago, a tupperware lid, a giant dime, a Trump mask, a large Oreo, a triangular frisbee, a blank cassette, a rectangular prism globe, a slab of whale blubber, a slab of walrus blubber, a blank roll of film, a fine china plate, a Putin mask, a pizza with garlic sauce instead of tomato sauce, a basketball hoop, a giant quarter, a steak, a circular saw blade, a large M a M, which seems to be gravitating out of the building, a yield sign, a construction pylon, a pyramid-shaped globe, and a deflated basketball.
As a sign of gratitude for Blingle's continued support, Pizza Man provides her with a complimentary donut and dartboard, and then bans Blingle and the rest of the party from ever returning to the shop. The group heads north from the shop, finding a blood well, which Melvin heads down into to obtain a few bottles of blood as well as a small sum of gold located at the bottom. Heading north one more time, the group comes across a teleporter, which they activate, as well as some unsettling blocky statue, which seems to be missing something from its hand.
Meanwhile, Shugi reaches into his fanny pack, and takes out the cracked lens he found at the library, placing it in the statue that his group found. The statue begins to rumble, before cracking apart, and from within steps the dominating presence of God-Emperor Middleton. Middleton crosses his arms behind his back and looms at the party, his mere glower enough to force all but Li'l Bleedy and Greejis to back off, taking cover behind some nearby rocks. Greejis lets out a bellowing laugh, holding his hammer in the air.
"HAHAHAHA! Fine, run away, cowards! I'll handle this MYSELF!" Greejis declares, entering his Balance Breaker state. His Golden King's Hammer reflects light straight into Middleton's glasses, blinding him briefly. Greejis rushes in for a surprise attack, but to his surprise, Middleton catches his wrist, letting out a low chuckle.
"Heard you coming." Middleton states calmly, before winding up a punch and sending Greejis flying several meters back. While Middleton is distracted, Shugi pops out from his cover and fires the Cheeto Duster at Middleton, coating him in Cheeto dust and forcing him to waste several turns as he licks it all off. Greejis rushes forwards again, swinging his hammer around in a circle repeatedly, before slamming it into Middleton's ribs, sending him to the side. Middleton scowls, but Li'l Bleedy completes a scan of the enemy, revealing to the rest of the party that Middleton has no weapons, so as long as they keep the pressure on him, he shouldn't be able to recover. Greejis laughs again, and continues whaling on Middleton with the hammer, eventually knocking Middleton's glasses off of his face. Before Greejis can go any further, Middleton once again grabs him by the arm, staring straight into his eyes.
"You mere peasants are nothing. Feel how truly worthless you are." Middleton declares, and Greejis suddenly finds himself forced out of his Balance Breaker state, no longer able to use his Sacred Gear. Middleton swats Greejis to the side, sending him sprawling on the ground, with only Li'l Bleedy still standing before him. Li'l Bleedy suddenly opens up its storage compartment, and begins tinkering with the Big Meaty Artery, mixing it with the shackles, nails, screw, leather strips, rusty chain, and several cans worth of Pringles to create a new weapon known as The Junker. God-Emperor Middleton attempts to loom at Li'l Bleedy, but as an automaton, Li'l Bleedy is unaffected by this intimidation tactic, and lashes at Middleton with the newly created weapon. Middleton tries to swat away the whip, but this just gets his arm tangled in it, allowing for Li'l Bleedy to thrash Middleton around, not stopping until Middleton goes limp, at which point Li'l Bleedy throws him to the ground, retracting The Junker back into its storage compartment.
"You...honestly think...you've WON?!" God-Emperor Middleton suddenly shouts, getting to his feet. Rather than attacking anyone, though, he simply runs away before anyone can catch him, leaving behind a small assortment of items. Shugi picks up a bunch of charisma pills and puts them in a fanny pack, while Li'l Bleedy picks up a pair of cracked glasses and stows them in its storage for possible future use.
