Greejis notices a lake full of sugar water, and convinces the group to stop exploring while he goes fishing for a bit. After fishing up several Sweatish Fish, Greejis feels something much larger, and pulls out THE WHALE, which is even bigger than the lake it came out of. Greejis laughs.
"Hahaha! We eatin' GOOD tonight!" Greejis says, shoving THE WHALE into Howler's pockets.
Meanwhile, Melvin and his group come across a waterfall of sugary blood, but as they approach, the waterfall parts, and from it steps Twink'em, angered that his secret special place has been discovered by outsiders. Blingle sees Twink'em's giant Twinkie, and immediately uses her tongue to snatch it away from him. Twink'em angrily pulls out his Sugar Wand, shooting several spears of sugar crystals at Blingle, which she blocks using the Twinkie. Melvin uses this distraction as an opportunity to walk right up to Twink'em and punch him firmly in the heart bone, causing him to suffer from a mild case of severe Super Cardiac Arrest, dying instantly and dropping his wand, which Melvin hurls across the land such that it lands in one of Shugi's fanny packs.
Shugi leads his group further in their wanderings, coming across a crime scene with a chalk outline for some non-human entity. The only thing of note at the location appears to be an evidence bag, which Shugi picks up.
Melvin's group finds a waffle house, which is of course a house made of waffles and syrup, and, as usual, has nothing better to do than venturing inside to explore it. The party heads inside, trudging across the syrupy floor and into the living room, where a figure is lying on the couch. Upon being approached, Zip'em bolts upright, raising his fists for a battle. Melvin unzips Zip'em's hood to try and see his face, but Zip'em just vanishes, reappearing behind Melvin with his hood zipped back up. Zip'em sucker punches Melvin, but clearly isn't paying enough attention to his surroundings, as Viola jumps out of the ground, swallowing Zip'em whole and killing him in the process. With Zip'em out of the way, the group enters the house's kitchen, which in and of itself is empty save for a very conspicuous walk-in freezer, which Blingle opens. Inside the freezer is Chill'em, who strikes a spooky pose and lets out a breathy "hOoAaAaaaaAAA" to intimidate his foes. Melvin shakes his head at this sad attempt at being scary, and strips Chill'em down to his underwear, causing him to immediately die from hyperhypothermia, which is like regular hypothermia but faster. Blingle checks Chill'em's coat pockets, finding some pain relief cream, a tome for a frostfire spell, and some ice skates, all of which she takes, before heading into the next room with the rest of the party. The room is filled with fog, and within this fog is Fog'em, who enters a gaseous state to become one with the vapor and surprise attack anyone who treks further into the room. Melvin takes in a deep breath, and then blows all of the fog away, exposing Fog'em for all to see since there was no fog machine or anything to continually create more fog. Fog'em panics and returns to a solid state, just in time for Blingle to try out that new frostfire spell, incinerating Fog'em instantly. Blingle picks up Fog'em's Cloudy Glass Dagger as a souvenir, but before the group can look around any more, the ground crumbles beneath their feet, and they fall into a waffly chamber where they are confronted by the large disembodied head known as Aunt Jemima. The floor is covered in syrup so thick and sticky that nobody can even move through it. Aunt Jemima uses her hot nasty breath to try and heat the syrup to a boil, but Melvin manages to stand up, and leans forwards just enough to smack Aunt Jemima, sending her bouncing around the room like a pinball. Aunt Jemima lands face first in the syrup, getting herself stuck in place. She tries to break free, but is unable to, and as she drowns, she uses her last breath to cry out "Oooh SAGGISH", causing the entire waffle house to become soggy as a last laugh. Blingle and Tora use their blade weapons to cut everyone free from the syrup, and Blingle opens up the obligatory treasure chest present in the chamber to claim the loot. Said loot consists of Chet the Midget, who Blingle immediately pockets, as well as a Massive Waffle Iron, which Blingle tests out by making one of her giant coins she obtained from the Pizza? Place into a metal waffle. Satisfied with the loot, Blingle heads back outside, along with the rest of the party.
Meanwhile, the other group finds an abandoned chicken farm, and, upon approaching, an apparition of Howler manifests from the pair of pants Greejis is wearing, and scoops up all of the chickens. Greejis seemingly has no recollection of this event afterward. As they continue onward, the group finds a sugar den, and are attacked by eight straw-wielding sugar gremlins, four of which Shugi immediately dispatches with the Heroin Needler. Li'l Bleedy fires a rocket, killing two more, and the last two, in their frenzy, accidentally slurp each other to death with their straws. The only treasure in the den is a weapon known as the Neo-Neapolitan Bomber, which is inserted into Li'l Bleedy. Further west, the party comes across some rogue flesh soldiers, who Greejis smashes, using THE WHALE as a blunt weapon before slurping it back into Howler's pockets. With the soldiers out of the way, the group moves along, encountering a man named Hernia Harris trying with all his might to open up a can. Detecting this, Melvin hurls his can opener all the way across the land, and Knight Nikku catches it, offering it to Harris. Harris gasps, thanking Knight Nikku and opening the can, giving Knight Nikku its contents as a reward. This turns out to be a single refried magic bean, which Knight Nikku brings over to Beaneater12, who happily exchanges the statue for it. With the statue obtained, Knight Nikku delivers it to Melisa, who rewards him for his efforts by giving him the legendary omni-weapon known as the Midnight Shadowblaster. Howler's pants suck up this weapon, and Greejis looks around for a moment, before just grabbing Melisa and shoving the cow into Howler's pockets as well.
