I enjoyed my break and the next one will most likely be the week of the tenth. Please enjoy this bit with Kurumi.
Shido walked through the park as the night air blew past him. Hearing a depressing sigh, he looked back to see Kurumi sitting on the bench and he narrowed his eyes before he got ready to walk away. Looking back, he saw the violent Spirit hanging her head and he frowned and took a deep breath before he turned and walked over to her. Standing over her, he heard Kurumi speak, "I used to come here a lot before I got my powers," she looked up at the full moon and faintly smiled, "This is where my boyfriend wanted to take my virginity, but I told him that I wasn't ready, but he kept pushing and so I kicked him, ran off and met her."
"Uh-huh, and why exactly are you telling me this? And if this bench holds a bad memory, why come back to it?"
"Poor, sweet, simple Shido," Kurumi stood up and slowly stepped towards him, "You see Shido dear, this is where I learned that humans are the true monsters, not us Spirits. Humans will gladly hurt others for their own selfish gains…but not you…you're…different," she looked up at him and Shido's eyes widened at the amount of emotion behind Kurumi's eyes, "You care for everyone around you, even going as far as putting your own life in danger, even if it's just to save one person,"
"Just to…wait…is this the past Kurumi, or the real one?"
Kurumi hummed as she turned her back towards him and slowly began walking away, "Believe what you want, Shido dear, but I should be heading home,"
Shido took a deep breath and shook his head, "Wait," Kurumi stopped as Shido walked up to her, "Even with your guns and your powers, you shouldn't walk home alone at night. This isn't the safest city in the world and if the AST or DEM see you, they're going to try and kill you…so…how about I walk you home tonight?" Kurumi looked up and Shido inhaled slowly, "I'm just…making sure you get home safely is all," Kurumi slightly smiled and nodded before the pair slowly walked away.
The pair stood in front of a darkened house at the end of a street and Kurumi sightly smiled, "Thank you for walking me home, Shido," Shido opened his mouth, ready to speak when Kurumi leaned closer and pressed her lips against his as a bright light surrounded the two and Kurumi felt her Spirit Armor slowly begin to disappear.
The pair separated and Kurumi shook her head, "It looks like I was the real Kurumi, Shido dear,"
Shido took a deep breath before he took his hoodie off and wrapped it around Kurumi, "There…why don't you going inside and get dressed and we'll meet up tomorrow and help you get used to living without your powers?"
"Okay," Kurumi lightly kissed his cheek before she turned and walked towards the door. Looking back, Kurumi smiled, "Goodnight Shido,"
Opening the door, she stepped inside before closing it and Shido sighed, "Yeah…goodnight Kurumi," he turned and began walking away.
Enjoy.
