Hearing a loud clap of thunder, Kotori panted as she shot up in bed, sweet running down her face as lightning flashed before she jumped out of bed and ran out of her room and across the hall to Shido's room. Jumping into Shido's bed, Shido moaned as he sat up and looked down, "Again? This is the third time this week an-"
"S-shut up…you know I don't like thunderstorms,"
Shido sighed as he laid back down and wrapped an arm around his terrified adopted sister, "Kotori…yeah, that storm knocking out the power four years ago and mom and dad getting that clown stature…the lightning…I know it was scary, but we got rid of that stature…plus, you're this kickass girl who fears nothing an-"
"I said shut up," Kotori moaned as she leaned up against Shido, "I've been afraid of them before my parents adopted you…and when they did adopt you, I was happy…I had a big brother to protect me when I was scared,"
"And you know I'll always protect you," Kotori faintly smiled as she sat up and scooted closer to Shido before lying on top of him, "And of course you're doing this,"
"What? Your cute little sister is scared and she wants her big brother to protect her," Shido sighed and slightly smiled as he wrapped his arms around her, "Night…big brother," Shido hummed and kissed the top of her head as the two fell asleep.
