Chapter 226

Lucifer, Chloe, and Amanadiel followed Cain's instructions to where God was likely to be. A part of Lucifer liked the idea that the guy who claimed to be the supreme ruler of the universe, had been reduced to a begger on the streets. But, as much as they had their issues, Lucifer couldn't bring himself to abandon his father. Later on he would wonder. This was Hell, there was always the possibility of unknown danger. Did Cain honestly not know about this one, or did he purposefully neglect to mention this. Either way, Lucifer soon found himself up against an old foe. Uriel, his brother, whom he'd killed to protect Chloe, was here in Hell, and still angry with his older brother. Uriel attacked Lucifer, and he barely even defended himself. Amadadial tried to break them up, but with no success.

Uriel: Why aren't you fighting back?

Lucifer: I'm sorry.

Uriel: I've never seen you beg before, I kind of like it.

Lucifer; But you didn't give me much choice. You tried to murder Chloe, and our mother.

Uriel: Now you take mom's side.

Lucifer: Do what you have to do, work out your issues.

Uriel continued beating on Lucifer for another minute or so, until their father showed up. Only when God showed up did Uriel stop. Cain was right, God was dressed in rags.

God: Are you okay Samael?

Lucifer: It's Lucifer to you.

God: Sorry, Lucifer.

Lucifer: I'll be fine.

Uriel: You deserve worse for what you did to me.

God: Uriel, Cain and Abel have reconciled, Eve has forgiven him. You could learn a lot from that.

Uriel: Really, have you forgiven him for murdering me?

God: It took awhile, but yes, I have.

Uriel: So what now?

Lucifer: I came to bring you all back to Antarctica.

Uriel: That doesn't make up for killing me.

Lucifer: I know, but I figure it's a start.

Uriel: Okay, it's got to be better than this place.

Lucifer: Is mom around?

God: Yes, she and I have reconciled.

Lucifer: Any chance you still have your old powers?

God: I'm afraid not.

Lucifer: Just as well, I doubt you ruling the whole universe would be much better than Evil ruling supreme.
