Floraltox Face-off

Melemele Island: Vien Tower

The heroes continued to make their way into the tower, overcoming all of Floraltox's traps along the way.

Lastly, the heroes made their way up to the top, in a blank, dark room.

"Is this where Floraltox is?" Ash asked.

"This place is pretty creepy." Lana said.

"Welcome. You've made it to my chamber." Floraltox said as she revealed herself.

"What are you plotting?!" Kiawe asked.

"Glory for my Lord Malummox, what else?" Floraltox replied in a rather simplistic tone.

"Well, we know you're up to something bad, and we're gonna stop you!" Mallow said.

"Bold words. Let's see if you can back them up." Floraltox said as she got ready for a fight.

"Looks like Floraltox is ready for a fight!" Rotom said.

"So are we!" Chris said as he and Martin got Creature Power Discs ready.

"Us too!" Ash said as he and the Ultra Guardians got their Burst Hearts ready.

"Activate Phoenix Power!" Chris and Martin activated Phoenix Power.

"Burst!" Ash, Kiawe, Mallow, Sophocles, Lana, Lillie, and Gladion used Burst to fuse with Pikachu, Marowak, Tsareena, Vikavolt, Sandy, Snowy, and Silvally.

"Let's go!" Martin said as he and Chris took off into the air.

Floraltox sprouted vines from the ground, making them lash at the heroes.

"Thunderbolt! Bonemerang! Leaf Storm! Zap Cannon! Bouncy Bubble! Blizzard! Air Slash!" Ash, Kiawe, Mallow, Sophocles, Lana, Lillie, and Gladion used their moves to defend against the vines.

Martin and Chris flew over Floraltox and shot out flames at her, burning her slightly.

"Not bad, but don't think plants are the only tricks I've got!" Floraltox said and her hands took on the shape of a closed flower.

Then, she fired several globs of purple sludge.

The heroes dodged them, but when the sludge globs landed near the heroes, they started giving off a malodorous odor, which the heroes certainly noticed.

"Ugh, rancid!" Sophocles exclaimed in disgust.

"What's that awful smell!?" Mallow squeezed her nose in repulsion.

"It's so putrid!" Lillie said while covering her nose and mouth.

"Repulsive isn't it? In fact, I would say the smell is quite toxic!" Floraltox taunted.

"We can't let this foul smell hold us down! We have to fight!" Kiawe said.

"I've got an idea! Glitzy Glow!" Lana unleashed a telekinetic force to blast away the sludge.

"Don't think that's all!" Floraltox blasted more sludge.

"Dazzling Gleam! Thunderbolt!" Lillie and Ash used their attacks to obliterate the sludge.

"Flare Blitz!" Kiawe enveloped himself in green flames and rammed into Floraltox, pushing her back.

"High Jump Kick!" Mallow followed up with a strong knee-kick.

"Multi-Attack!" Gladion enveloped himself with aura and struck Floraltox.

"String Shot!" Sophocles fired a stream of sticky thread at Floraltox, tying her up.

Chris and Martin then breathed out fire in a circular formation around Floraltox, trapping her in a ring of flames.

"I'm truly impressed with your resourcefulness, but I'm not out of tricks just yet!" Floraltox said as she snuffed out the flames, to the heroes' surprise. "My special trump card!"

Floraltox's body then started glowing green and soon, released a blinding green light that enveloped the entire room, forcing the heroes to cover their eyes.

Outside Viren Tower, the Bane Box suddenly exploded, and when the intense light faded, the heroes were now in a messed-up studio and Floraltox was nowhere to be seen.

"What happened?" Rotom asked.

"Where's Floraltox?" Sophocles asked.

Then, the Kratt bros got a call from the Tortuga.

"Bros, are you there? There's something you gotta see!" Aviva called in a worried voice.

Then, the Ultra Guardians got a call from the Aether Foundation.

"Ultra Guardians, hurry and get outside!" Lusamine warned.

Melemele Island: Hau'oli City

Heeding the warnings, the heroes all quickly got out of the building to see the nearby area buildings wrapped in gigantic vines and roots, all coming from a gigantic plant golem.

On top of the golem was Floraltox, who seemed to be merged into it.

"It's her!" Ash said.

"She's controlling that thing!" Gladion said.

Then, Floraltox noticed the heroes and turned her attention towards them.

"Surprised? Behold my ultimate trump card. It's an unstoppable beast capable of spreading my seeds everywhere it goes!" Floraltox said. "Now then, to cover the entire island with my spawns, starting with this city!"

"That won't happen!" Ash said, and the heroes all ran after Floraltox.

The plant golem turned around and fired purple sludge at the heroes, causing them to stop in repulsion at the stench of the sludge.

"Just try it and see what happens!" Floraltox laughed as she passed the heroes.

"She's getting away!" Martin said.

"And that big golem is still on a rampage!" Chris said.

"Maybe it's best we don't confront her on the ground level. We should get on higher ground so that we'd be directly facing her." Lillie suggested.

"Sounds good," Gladion said.

"Release!" The Ultra Guardians defused from their Pokémon and went a different way to chase after Floraltox.

Near the edge of the city, Floraltox's golem continued on its way, causing plants to grow as it passed.

On top of the nearby buildings, the heroes waited for Floraltox, and she noticed them.

"Nice try, but do you think this is enough?" Floraltox said as she fired green sludge.

This green sludge did not reek, it was instead revealed to be corrosive, as it was discovered on some of the surfaces that the sludge hit.

"Whoa, she's got that kind of sludge too." Sophocles said.

"Well, we can't let that stop us!" Chris said, then he and Martin flew down towards Floraltox, who began firing the corrosive green and putrid purple sludges in rotation.

"Whoa, better not let them hit us!" Martin said as he and Chris dodged the sludge globs.

Kiawe, Mallow, and Gladion had Marowak, Tsareena, and Silvally use Bonemerang, Leaf Storm, and Air Slash to distract Floraltox and her golem while Chris and Martin snuck up behind them and blew flames at the golem, which slowed down to try to put itself out.

Then, Ash and Sophocles had Pikachu and Vikavolt use Electroweb and String Shot to restrain the golem.

As the golem struggled more to free itself, Lana and Lillie had Sandy and Snowy use Freezy Frost and Blizzard to freeze it in black ice.

Then, the golem broke free after a strong struggle and it showed visible exhaustion.

The Ultra Guardians sent their Ride Pokémon to inflict further damage.

Garchomp, Charizard, Flygon, Altaria, Dragonair, Metang, and Noivern used Dragon Pulse, Flamethrower, Rock Slide, Fire Blast, Ice Beam, Flash Cannon, and Boomburst on Floraltox and the golem, dealing critical blows to both, since Floraltox was merged to her golem, so she received damage that the golem received as well.

"Alright, let's finish this!" Gladion said, and the Ultra Guardians all went down to face Floraltox.

On the ground, the Ultra Guardians got their Z-Moves ready with their Ride Pokémon.

Lana had her Waterium Z, Lillie had her Icium Z, Gladion had his Dragonium Z, Kiawe had his Flyinium Z, Mallow had her Groundium Z, Ash had his Rockium Z, and Sophocles borrowed Ash's Psychium Z.

"Hydro Vortex! Subzero Slammer! Devastating Drake! Supersonic Skystrike! Tectonic Rage! Continental Crush! Shattered Psyche!" The Ultra Guardians unleashed their Z-Moves.

First, Dragonair sent a vortex of water at Floraltox to trap her in place.

Then Altaria fired an intense beam of freezing energy along with Noivern firing an energy attack in the shape of a dragon, dealing massive damage.

Then, Charizard flew high into the air enveloped itself in a blue aura before coming crashing down onto Floraltox and her golem.

Then, Flygon caused the ground to open up and dived down before coming up to strike Floraltox.

Then, Garchomp flew into the air, tearing off chunks of the ground to form a huge boulder before dropping it on Floraltox.

Lastly, Floraltox and her golem were bombarded in all directions from Metang's psychic energy attacks.

"NO! How can this be? I could I lose now?!" Floraltox said, just before she was consumed in an explosion along with her golem, taking them both out.

"We did it!" Lillie cheered.

"Another victory to keep Alola safe," Gladion said.

"Let's report back to let everyone all is well!" Rotom said.

Later, Viren returned to the site of his tower and saw that the Bane Box was gone to his joy, but then he took a closer look at the tower and saw that the top was ruined, with a few windows broken and a big hole on the wall with burn marks around it. "Wha? My shiny tower's a mess! Why do these things happen to me?!"
