Where We Are Now
Chapter Summary
Dhalia's POV
That was before. Before everything went to hell.
It all started after the war was won, everyone was celebrating. Everyone that is but me. That would have been fine, if my so-called friends didn't try forcing me to celebrate. Don't get me wrong I was happy we were alive and Voldemort was no longer an issue. But I didn't want to be celebrating, this stupid war has taken practically everything from me.
My parents, my godfather, Uncle Moony.
Yes, you can argue that I still have my friends, Ron and Hermione, but friends would force you to celebrate and parade you in front of others. Nor would they practically drown me in fire whiskey like Ron did.
Ron, to think I once considered him my friend, best friend in fact. I wasn't expecting him to take advantage of me in my intoxicated state. A state that he had caused to begin with. Nor would I have expected Hermione to yell at me for getting with her boyfriend. No amount of denying or crying had her thinking differently.
It was Draco who found me crying alone in the dungeons. He was angry on my behalf, ranting and raving before taking me to his father and a healer.
I learnt then that the Malfoys, Draco and Lucius at least, did not want anything to do with Voldemort. It was Narcissa who forced them to join, and now with both of them dead they were free to live their lives however they wanted.
"Dahlia Maria Potter! Are you listening?" Draco huffed out rolling his eyes.
"Not really, sorry you lost me" I sheepishly said looking away from his disappointed look he no doubt had on his face.
Becoming friends with the Malfoys, more like family now, came with learning everything about pureblood culture. How to be acting in front of friends, family, enemies. What is appropriate and what isn't.
The biggest lesson though was about my Ladyship. I didn't even know I was a lady! Apparently, I am though, for both the Potter and Black family.
"This stuff is important. With how much money those gits took from you, you need to learn how to manage your finances and properties" the blonde said gently leaning back in his seat.
"I still can't believe I didn't realize that all these years" I sighed out. How blind I was to the faults of those around me.
"It wasn't your fault, Dumbledore had you on so many spells and potions I'm surprised you even knew your name" Draco hissed out angrily.
"That why the goblin healers are the best" Lucius said coming into the study, a smile replacing the troubled look on his face.
"What's wrong Uncle?" I asked worried.
"Oh, flower how I wish I could tell you it's nothing" He sighed.
"What happened?" I asked feeling worry start to boil in my chest.
"I've made contact with your father, your muggle father" He clarified once he saw my confused look.
"Why is this a bad thing? Does he not want to see her? If so, she didn't need him in the first place?" Draco hissed out getting up and pacing while glaring at the floor.
"Calm little dragon, that isn't the case. He has just been hurt but he wants to meet you Dahlia"
"Then what is the bad thing that has you worried Uncle?" I asked him.
"He wants blood, to do a DNA test?" He questioned tilting his head in confusion.
"It's a test that muggles use to see if you are related" well immersed in the muggle world Uncle Lucius may be, but he isn't all knowing in that aspect. I've come to enjoy filling in the blanks for him, unlike Mr. Weasley who was always so pushy to learn yet never once pulled to effort to actually memorize the details.
"And why is asking for my blood bad?" I asked confused now not knowing why he would be worried.
"You've come so far in your studies that I forget you were raised ignorant" Uncle Lucius sadly looked at me.
"Giving blood for someone magical is not done unless you trust the person 100%. You can use blood in a lot of different rituals or bindings" Draco informed taking on his professor voice.
"Like the one that brought Voldemort to his body?" I asked.
"Yes, that is one way. But not all rituals done by blood are evil. There are many marriage rituals, and even adoption rituals that your father James had used on you" Uncle Lucius told me.
"Now, I've asked your father to burn the blood once it's been used. He has assured me that he would. Is that alright with you?"
"I'm alright with it" I nodded my head in agreement.
Ever since I learnt that I had a parent alive I wanted to meet him. If to do that I had to part with some blood I'm fine with that.
"I will be unable to go with you, the new minister doesn't want me leaving until the entirety of my house arrest is over. But Draco will be going with you" Lucius informed us both.
"Don't worry father I'll take care of her, when will we be leaving?" Draco asked, no doubt already thinking of things that needed to be done for us to be ready to leave.
"I've booked your flight for tomorrow morning"
I guess I'll be meeting my muggle father soon.

Leaving Malfoy Manor was harder this time than the last time I left. This time I wasn't running away for my life. This time I was leaving the man who I've come to see as an Uncle, and I won't see him again for 5 months. For the last year and half, I've been staying at the manor, leaving just doesn't feel right.
It was because of Uncle Lucius that I got my NEWTS, with wonderful marks. He had gotten me tutors, and worked a way for me to write it so that I wouldn't have to go back to Hogwarts.
Most importantly he gave me a safe haven.
"Don't cry Dahlia, it will just be 5 months before I see you again. We can also always talk on the phone" Uncle Lucius cooed, gently wiping the tears off my cheeks with a handkerchief.
"I'll miss you" I whimpered out wrapping my arms around his torso.
"As I will miss you my little flower" he enfolded me in his strong arms, wrapping me in a cocoon of warmth and safety.
"Now I want you both to listen to me carefully" Uncle Lucius said pulling back after a couple moments. "I want you to watch out for each other, make sure you eat, and little dragon please do make sure you both get some sleep"
This wasn't the first time we have heard these instructions since last night, each time though I was left with a warm feeling in my chest. I felt loved, taken care of.
"What happens if my dad doesn't like me?" I voiced out my fears for the first time since finding out about my muggle father.
"If he doesn't you can come straight back to me. But I know your desire of leaving England so I've bought a home for you in Florida in case you don't like it with your father. Trust me little flower there is no way your father wouldn't love you" Uncle Lucius informed me immediately.
"I love you Uncle Lucius" I whispered hugging him once again, letting go only for Draco to take my place.
We couldn't linger longer, we needed to get to our gate before the called for our flight. Our luggage was already checked in so we weren't carrying anything besides a small bag.
"Come Dahlia, we have to go now. Father, we will call you when we get to New York" Draco informed. I waved goodbye to Lucius before following behind Draco.
I stuck close to his side not liking being surrounded by strangers. I never was one to like crowds, sometimes even the students at Hogwarts got too much.
Thankfully we wouldn't have to stay with the crowd. Our seats were first class, Draco says that they are the best seats you can have.
"Any other time I would have you try out everything the first lounge has to offer, but I know you just want to go and sit down on the plane" Draco said leading me where we need to go.
"Maybe next time" I hesitantly offered not know if even next time I would want to.
"Well, we will see, won't we?" H asked smiling down at me.
It didn't take long for us to settle down in our seats. Thankfully Uncle Lucius had the foresight to not give us window seats. Instead, we had two seats that were side by side with no partitioner in the middle like the other seats I saw. If I had to spend the entire trip sitting alone with no one to talk to it would have been torturous. Even though Draco reassured me that even if that were the case, we could go to the other to talk, but the feeling wouldn't be the same. I would still be further from him and I wouldn't have been comfortable with that during my first flight.
"See that wasn't so bad" Draco said giving my hand a gentle squeeze.
"Thanks for letting me hold your hand" take off was nothing like how Aunt Petunia described it being. I don't know if it was just one of her many ways, she used to torture me, or that she had genuinely been afraid.
"Hey Draco, what is the mile-high club?" I asked curiously remembering hearing it from a flight attendant's head. She was broadcasting her thoughts so loudly that I couldn't help but hear even if I wasn't trying to read her mind.
"where did you hear that?" Draco asked his pale face quickly turning red.
"A flight attendant thought, oh great two teens that might try to join the mile-high club" I whispered leaning close so that no one else would hear. Not that there were many people around us, there were only two other people and they were sitting further away. I still made sure not to be too loud.
"it's not a club per say…but she basically meant that she expected us to want to have sex on the plane"
"That's a thing?" I asked dumbfounded "But that's so improper!"
"You'd be surprised what muggles do" he avoided eye contact.
"How are we going to my dad after we land?" I asked changing the topic, not wanting to dwell longer on the topic.
"Father sent yours our flight details, I expect that either he would send someone to get us or pick us up himself" he said the relief in his voice obvious at the change of topic.
The flight wasn't difficult, and after talking with Draco for an hour I completely forgot about how nervous I was in the beginning. This definitely felt better than portkey, but the best flying is on a broom. After our chat Draco went to sleep, having not slept properly the night before making things perfect.
I on the other had was too excited to sleep. I first spent my time figuring out what all the buttons and cabinets held. After embarrassingly calling for a flight attendant for no reason, I called it quits on my exploration and instead watched movies. I ate when Draco woke up and he ordered both of us food, grumbling while he did because I didn't order food myself and it's been a couple of hours.
The flight that was around 8 hours seemed to fly by and in no time at all we were landing. I once again stuck close to Draco and just followed him like a lost puppy.
"Now let's see there should be someone holding a sign with our names on them" Draco murmured looking around at the many people waiting.
"There it is!" I said pointing at the sign being held by a tall, slightly overweight man.
"Good eye" Draco praised.
"I was the youngest seeker" I gloated smiling up at the taller boy, before leading him to the older man. Well, I was in the lead until I noticed the scowl on the older man's face, immediately slowing down and allowing Draco to talk instead.
"You must be Mr. Hogan, I'm Draco and this is Dahlia. Were you waiting long?" Draco asked politely.
"No, I was told to bring you to the tower" the man, Mr. Hogan said curtly.
Despite the older man's cold welcoming, he still took our luggage from us and piled it up in the car.
"How long will the drive take?" I spoke up from the back seat.
"Not long, 40 minutes if the traffic is good" He said making eye contact through the rear-view mirror.
40 minutes until I finally meet my dad, I could wait that long and not panic, can't I?
Draco clearly knew me better than I knew myself and did his best to distract me by telling me of his previous trip to New York with his father.
I relaxed knowing that no matter what the outcome this meeting would have, Draco and Uncle Lucius would always be there for me.
Chapter End Notes
Just a fair warning this story will have a good amount of Steve Bashing.
Don't get me wrong I loved the man...initially. I find the more I look back on it the less I'm liking Steve, despite him being praised always in the MCU.
What about you guys love or hate Steve?

I was shocked by how much love this story got.
By far the most amount of Kudo's and Hits I've ever gotten in one day. Thank you so much!

The meeting between myself and my father in one word was awkward. He had met us in the lobby of his huge tower, where we were immediately taken to the med bay. There were no pleasant exchanges that happened, no hi or hello. We just went straight to the task.
A couple of hours ago I would have been very hurt. But Draco had told me stories on the plane of people claiming to be a child of someone rich, especially of those who were more active like my father was. Uncle Lucius even had a witch come and claim her daughter as his child, a false claim that was easily proven with a simple spell.
We couldn't use a spell in my case. For one my dad was muggle who didn't know about magic, and second, I don't know the spell.
"You will burn the blood once your done with it" Draco confirmed looking at my father intently.
"Yeah, sure. I will I promised Mr. Malfoy on the phone. Although I don't know why doing so is necessary" The latter part he quietly mumbled to himself.
Unlike Lucius Malfoy, where you can see that they were rich at one glance that wasn't the case with my father. I've seen pictures of him when he does look rich, but right now was not the case. He was dressed in jeans and an AC/DC shirt, his hair was a mess. In short, he kind of looked like a hot mess.
"How long will it take?" I asked quietly the pacing man.
"Normally it would take an 2-5 days. But because I'm the best we'll know in 40ish minutes" He said biting his thumb and avoiding looking at me.
"Sorry if I'm ruining your plans, but you don't have to do anything. Uncle Lucius bought a house I could stay at, I just wanted to get to know you but it's fine if you don't want to, Mr. Stark," I blurted out quickly a part of me already wanting to run out and just leave.
"Ah damn I suck at this don't I?" he said running his hand through his already messy hair face filled with panic.
"The best thing that could ever happen to me is that test proving that you are my daughter, not that I doubt it for one minute you've got my hair and eyes. In fact, it's kind of looks like I'm looking at my younger self. If that is, I was a girl and not you know a guy" He rambled on nervously stopping only when he hears me softly giggling.
"I think reading about you in my mother's letter was the best thing that's happened to me too" I tell him truthfully.
"I don't know how to be a dad; I never had the best example. But I'm willing to learn you're just going to have to be patient with me" He said looking so sincere that I didn't once doubt his words.
"I don't know how to be a daughter either. Mum and dad died when I was young and I was left at my Aunt house. So, I guess we'll learn together" I looked at him hopefully smiling when I saw that he was smiling too.
"That's good" He looked at Draco tilting his head, "Who's the blonde, protective looking dude? Boyfriend?"
"No" I laughed, "This is Draco Malfoy, my distant cousin. The Malfoys recently took me in" I explained relaxing into my seat.
"Oh, I've heard a lot about you from your dad" Tony said sticking a hand out to shake.
"You know my father?" Draco asked curiously shaking Tony's hand.
"We met up at gala's often, not so much the last couple of years. I've been busy with other things, but he used to talk often about you. Did you ever join that sports team at school?"
I smiled softly, there is no way this man could be bad if he remembered something an associate said at a party. Even asking about it now, he was trying his best.
"Yeah, Dahlia and I were often on opposing teams. We played the same position" Draco informed.
"Who was the better player?" Tony asked leaning towards us.
"Dahlia, just because she was always so bloody reckless!" Draco said confidently.
"That depends, which team was cheating the most" I said at the same time.
"Hey we Slytherins never cheated!" Draco denied shooting me a playful glare.
"Sure, sure, we believe you don't we dad?" I asked only to freeze up, would he not want me calling him dad?
"It's alright kiddo, I'd be honoured if you would call me dad" Dad said a bright smile on his face as he looked at his stark pad.
"I thought you were waiting for the results though" I pointed out.
"I just got them" He said waving his device. "Now let's go burn your blood so I can introduce you to my best friends. Practically family really" He said jumping up and led us so we could see my blood burn.
While dad led us to an elevator, he told us all about his makeshift family. There was Pepper Pots, the CEO of his company, Rhodey, his best friend and practically brother, Friday an AI, whatever that is, and Happy who is head of security.
"Uncle Lucius said you were hurt recently, are you better now?" I asked looking over the man in concern once we got into the elevator.
"That, yeah it happened a couple of months ago, but I'm all good now. Better now that I've got a daughter" He beamed at me.
"What exactly happened? Father didn't tell us" Draco asked cause a dark look to take place on dad's face. I was just about to say that he didn't have to answer when he did.
"A man I though was my friend hurt me" Dad said looking so broken and sad that neither Draco and I pushed him for more information.
Same, I thought to myself bitterly. Draco as if knowing where my thoughts went but Draco took my hand gently in his, giving me support.

Someone has hurt her; I don't know who but whoever it is better hope I never get my hands on him.
I was a bit sceptical when Lucius called to tell me I have a daughter. At first, I wanted to rebel, deny the accusation, but I couldn't. It's no secret I'm a playboy, and even being careful sometimes accidents happen.
I'm shocked I don't have more kids running around.
But here she is Dahlia Potter. A small slip of a girl, with the prettiest green eyes. She had my wavy hair, and gods does she look just perfect, or maybe that's the father in me speaking.
I would have done anything to be there for her through her life, but maybe it was better this way. My life had been way too dangerous for a kid to be around. I shudder to think what Obi might have done to her.
No, it's perfect like this, I may have missed 18 years of her life, but I'll be here for the rest.
"I've already told Pepper and Rhodey about you. They are very excited to see you" I told my kid, desperate to get that smile back on her face. Not that I had to wait long to see the smile.
Feeling somewhat more confidant I led the two out of the elevator and to the kitchen where I know Pepper and Rhodey would be. What better way to get to know someone than over food, especially pizza? Everyone loves pizza.
Pepper and Rhodey were waiting with a pile of pizza boxes. I may have gone a tad overboard not knowing what she would prefer. But any that we can't eat we can give down to the employees.
"The beautiful red head is my CEO, and practically sister Pepper Potts, beside her is my brother in everything but blood Rhodey. Rhodey, Pepper this is my daughter Dahlia Potter and her cousin Draco Malfoy" I introduced the four.
"For a second there I thought you had two kids. I was worried we didn't spruce up a room for him" Rhodey teased smiling at the two kids. "It's nice to meet you both"
"Dahlia you look so much like Tony. It's so nice to meet you, Tony has been talking about you for months now!"
"Pepper! I was trying not to show that!" I whined playfully, but I was grateful that she pointed it out.
"Really? I thought Uncle Lucius only recently got in contact?" Dahlia asked curiously.
"It was only recently we were able to have it so you can visit. You see I had to re-buy this tower. There was a lot of drama that also happened recently. Didn't want you to come only to have to bolt on you, now we can take all the time to get to know each other" I told her sitting down on my seat.
It was highly amusing to watch Draco pull out a chair for Dahlia to sit in before taking a seat himself, people still did that?
"Tony went a bit overboard with the pizza so help yourself" Pepper said opening up some boxes.
"You eat this with your hands Draco" Dahlia said to the blonde who was looking for cutlery. "He grew up only eating rich people food" she turned to us and spoke in an exaggerated whisper.
"Ha-ha, Potter very funny. Now why don't you tell me the best type then?" Draco asked smiling.
"Oh- well, I don't know…I've never actually had pizza before" Dahlia flushed red looking away.
"How come?" Rhodey asked curiously.
"My Aunt and Uncle weren't big on feeding me fast-food" She said speaking slow and carefully.
"That's fine, I personally love all of them. My favourite is cheese" I said easily but shared a look with Pepper and Rhodey, there was definitely more to the story.
"I personally like Hawaiian" Rhodey said grabbing his preferred slice.
Once again, I was shocked when Draco served Dahlia first before taking a slice himself.
"Did you have a nice flight?" Pepper asked.
"Yes, it was my first time flying in a plane so I was nervous" She said flushing once again.
"Yeah, almost broke my hand with the hold she had on it" Draco teased.
"I know my hold wasn't that strong, you're just being a prat" she rolled her eyes. "I watched movies in the plane, Draco slept most of the time"
"Did the two of you go to school together?" I asked wanting to know everything about my daughter.
"Yup, we hated each other at first" Dahlia said.
"Why?" Pepper asked curiously leaning forward.
"I offered to be friends and she said no," Draco piped up.
"You were being mean and you know it" Dahlia rolled her eyes fondly.
"Afterwards it was house rivalry. We were in different houses, two that were known for having the wort rivalries out of the four houses. It was only later on when we actually got closer. It helped that Dahlia lived with us for the past year and half"
"The number of detentions I got because of him were insane" Dahlia laughed.
"You snuck out past curfew not my fault" Draco denied.
I watched with a warm feeling in my chest at their interaction. It's nice seeing my daughter having a good friend. And the amount of trouble she got in at school, she was just like me!
We talked while we ate getting to know each other. It was only when Dahlia yawned 4 times within 5 minutes that I told her and Draco to go rest. Pepper kindly offered to show them to their rooms leaving Rhodey and I alone.
"She's been through something, something bad" Rhodey said seriously as soon as we were alone.
"Yeah, gods Rhodes I love her already. I want to hunt the person who hurt her" I admitted softly.
"Do you know anything?" Rhodey asked.
"I think she's been hurt by someone she trusted. Lucius also told me she doesn't liked to be touched suddenly. Alcohol is also a no go" I admitted.
"So that's why you locked all your alcohol away"
"I couldn't throw them out, so I locked it and gave the key to Pepper" I admitted without any shame. I knew I had a tendency to overindulge but I won't drink if it's something that hurts those I care about.
"She seems like a good kid, shy and soft-spoken, but she's got your sarcasm"
"Alright Tony, I just put them in their rooms" Pepper said coming back into the kitchen. "Now what do you know about her situation?" She grilled immediately, and I told her the same thing I told Rhodey.
"She'll be safe with us. Now both of you should also get some more rest. Tony you are still recovering from your surgery and Rhodey you need to rest longer. I'm going to go to work, I'll see you two at dinner" She said walking away like the whirlwind she was.
"Have you heard more from Thor?" Rhodey asked.
"Yeah, he said that he would be here in two weeks with his brother" I said rubbing my face tired now more than ever.
"Are you sure you're ok hosting Loki?"
"He was being controlled too. But I will be putting down some rules, I don't want him alone with Dahlia until I know a hundred percent that he isn't a danger" I said telling FRIDAY to make a note.
Chapter End Notes
I never know how to end off or start a chapter- one of my many struggles.
Rhodey and Tony are like the best ever! I love their friendship!
Question: If you had a soulmate in the MCU who would you choose?
Its a difficult question, they are all perfect! But I feel like I would choose either Loki, Natasha, or Tony. But the list is really long.

I woke up early the next morning. 6 am is what FRIDAY told me, and I just couldn't go back to sleep. Not that I wanted to after sleeping so much, no doubt Draco would probably already be up.
"Hey Friday, is anyone awake?" I asked the computer woman.
"Boss is still sleeping, Rhodey is awake making breakfast. Pepper is doing a work call and Draco is also sleeping. Do you need anything little boss?" The Irish voiced woman asked.
"No that's fine thank you FRIDAY" I politely said. If there is one thing I've learnt while in the magical world, politeness can go a long way. Be it by getting the loyalty of a house elf, respect of goblins or in this case a friend in a very smart sentient computer.
I took a quick shower before changing into a casual blue maxi dress, and heading towards the kitchen. FRIDAY helped guide me through so I wouldn't get lost, although it was unnecessary it was still sweet of her to help.
"Morning, Mr. Rhodey. What are you making?" I asked looking over the supplies he has taken out. They were mainly just fruits.
"You can just call me Uncle Rhodey, Dahlia. I'm making some smoothie bowls, but don't know what else to make yet. What do you want for breakfast?" He asked while washing blueberries.
"How about some French Toast? Do we have strawberries to put on top?" I asked noting the lack of on the counter.
"Pepper is allergic to strawberries. But Tony loves them, if he hasn't eaten them all they may be in the silver fridge"
I nodded looking at the silver fridge, not the black on right beside it. I would have been shocked by them having two fridges if I wasn't used to the extravagance of rich folk. I could make two toppings for the French toast, blueberries and banana, and strawberries and banana.
"Do you like cooking?" Uncle Rhodey asked as be both worked together to make breakfast.
"Yeah, I never liked it as much as a kid. But once I started making food for my godfather, and later on for Uncle Lucius and Draco, I started liking it more" I said fondly.
The house elves at Malfoy manor were not happy with my desire to cook, but we compromised. The days I wanted to cook, I told them and it would only be one meal.
"I find it soothing, and like when people enjoy my food" I told him truthfully.
We lulled into a comfortable silence, just cooking. Pepper and Draco joined in sitting at the table sipping their morning drinks. Pepper had coffee whereas Draco was sipping some tea, two drinks that I absolutely hated.
"I'm sorry if I'm being rude but why do you have metal braces on your legs?" Draco asked curiously.
"Nah, you're not being rude. I'm surprised you lasted this long to be honest. I got hurt and now I rely on these babies to walk" He said patting his braces.
Not knowing what to say, I was immensely thankful when dad walked in moaning about coffee, effectively bringing the attention on him.
"Mmm you've outdone yourself this time. This is absolutely delicious Rhodey" Dad complemented digging into his strawberry French toast.
"It was all Dahlia, I just helped flip em" Uncle Rhodey told him.
"Man, my daughter is beautiful, smart and she could cook! You must have gotten that from your mother, because I can't cook" Dads praise had me smiling brightly.
"Thank you for breakfast both of you, but I'm afraid I've got meetings to attend. I'll pop in for lunch. Tony be good, no starting any fires" She warned narrowing her eyes giving dad a glare then waved at all of us and walked off.
"Is she always so scary?" I asked tilting my head.
"That was nothing, you should see her when Tony is working in the lab for 3 days straight" Rhodey laughed.
After breakfast Draco went to call Uncle Lucius again, it was no secret that they both were keeping an eye on how I was being treated.
Dad and Rhodey gave me a tour of the tower. From the floor we were staying on to all the other ones. All of them but the ones where there were workers, I insisted on not wanting to be introduced to the world just yet. I knew it was inevitable and sooner or later the world will know, but for now I like being just Dahlia.
"You have a pool?" I asked shocked.
"Yup, you can swim whenever you want to" Dad told me as we walked around the pool.
"I'm not the best swimmer. Draco taught me last summer, but I don't like being in large bodies of water" I'd rather spend my time flying on a broom or create things to sell.
"Yeah, I don't like it either. I had this put in for Rhodey and the others who love to swim. Maybe Draco would enjoy it"
"I think he would like that" I nodded my head.
The best part of the tour though was dad's lab. Just entering the room, he seemed to light up and relax, and I knew that this is what he loves doing. Creating. I was introduced to his robots DUM-E, Butterfingers, and U each who seemed more like excited puppies with their personalities.
"Can I come by and say hi to them whenever you're working?" I asked dad while throwing a wrench so U can fetch it.
"Why would you do that?" Dad asked curiously.
"You said they were intelligent. I doubt they like being in the lab all alone. I know I would have liked to have company" I told him the three robots beeping in what I hoped was agreement.
"huh, you know no one but Pepper, Rhodey and Happy have treated them as intelligent" dad mused softly.
"They were stupid then" I blurted out before I could stop myself.
"Yeah, you know what kiddo, we'll take them up to our floor. It's not like anyone would have an issue and the nagger is gone" Dad said face lit up in excitement.
"Come on guys, let's go upstairs" I said leading the way to the elevator, being closely followed by the robots and my dad.
"May I just say that was the best idea ever. Boss was being stupid when he listened to the others" FRIDAY piped up opening the elevator doors for us.
"I guess not everyone can be perfect. Right Friday"
"Yes, little boss"
"Both my kids are ganging up on me. Is this the teenage rebellious faze FRIDAY?" Dad question dramatically.
"Suffer Boss" was the response he got back making me laugh uncontrollably.
"Do you think you'd like to stay here?" Dad asked nervously once my laughter died down.
"Yeah, I think I would love it here" I told him honestly. I would have been less confident, but dad practically broadcasts the love and happiness he feels for me. I just knew I would love being here with him.

Dhalia's POV
"What are doing up so late?" Aunt Pepper whispered making me look at her instead of the cars zooming by from the windows. She looked exhausted, and was still in her work clothes. No doubt she probably just came home and was wanting to rest.
"I had a nightmare, didn't want to sleep again just yet. Did FRIDAY tell you?" I asked knowing that she wouldn't have seen me otherwise.
"Yeah, do you want to talk about it?" Pepper asked sitting beside me on the floor.
"I told her not to wake anyone" I grumbled out ignoring the question for now.
"Yeah, but technically I was still awake. Besides FRIDAY follows protocol and one of them is to make sure we aren't alone after a nightmare" Aunt Pepper informed me looking out the window. Softly she asked, "Do you want to talk about it?"
"It was stupid, I dreamt that my old headmaster at school was trying to kill me. It shook me up a bit" I told her half of the truth.
In reality I was freaked out, because that is exactly what had happened or would have at least. Dumbledore groomed me since I was just a baby, placing me in an abusive home, and then trying to get me to sacrifice myself. It worked too the potions made sure it did. Yet I survived. I survived the killing curse by some miracle, but I could have died and isn't that a scary thought.
"You know what helps me when I have a nightmare?" Aunt Pepper asked pausing for a second only to continue, "It's weird but I like doing yoga. It helps me calm my mind"
"And it helps just like that?" I asked her curious.
"Sometimes, and sometimes I need more human comfort. I usually go to your dad, or Happy and snuggle up with them"
"That sounds nice" I smiled; I've never had someone who I could go to.
At the Dursleys crying out or bothering them in anyway would have ended with being punished. I learnt to deal with my hurts and nightmares myself. Hogwarts was different, the girls in the dorm were concerned. At least in the first half of the year, then as the years went on, they didn't really care. Only told me to put up silencing charms.
"So, what do you think?" She asked softly.
"To what?"
"Shall the both of us crash in your dad's room? His bed is big enough that we'd have room to spare" She said giggling softly.
It was a bit weird going to crash in my dad's room, do people even do that? Especially at me age? But I couldn't deny that the idea sounded good. After waiting for Aunt Pepper to change, we snuck in to my dad's room. Snuggling under the warm covers I fell asleep listening to the soft breathing of both Aunt Pepper and my dad.
The next time I woke up it was not to a nightmare, but the soft beeping of the bots and FRIDAY conversing.
"Morning guys" I yawned stretching underneath the blankets.
"Morning little boss. Boss and Pepper are in the kitchen with Draco" FRIDAY informed me.
The bots who have taken to following me around whenever they weren't charging, stayed close as we made it to the kitchen. Thankfully dad and Aunt Pepper didn't mention me crashing in dad's room. Except for asking if I slept well, which I did. Best sleep I've had in a while actually.
"Father called, he wanted to talk to you" Draco told me later on in the afternoon.
"I'll call him after breakfast, do you think he would be up?" I asked him already filling my plate with food.
"For you? He's probably camping beside his cell phone" Draco scoffed.
Uncle Lucius has called practically every night, sometimes more than once a day. Although he only did call Draco because he didn't want to disturb my bonding time with dad. I would either talk to him with Draco, or call myself. Poor Uncle Lucius stuck in his Manor alone with only house elves for company.
"How about after you call your Uncle we go to the zoo?" Dad said looking hopeful.
"I'd love too!" I agreed happily, I've never been to the zoo. Well except for the time with the snake, but that trip wasn't enjoyable and ended off dreadfully. Regardless of how funny it was seeing Dudley being trapped.
I finished breakfast quicker than I have ever done in a while. Running into my room, the bots following closely, and sitting on my bed. I fished out my phone from my bag called Uncle Lucius.
"Little flower, how are you?" Uncle Lucius asked picking up on the first ring. He really must have been waiting for my call.
"I'm good Uncle Lucius," I say grabbing a pillow to put on my lap "The bots say hello" I tell him listening to the persistent beeping the three bots were doing.
"Tell the bots I say hello back" Uncle Lucius laughed. It was only when I passed on the message that the three robots stopped beeping, whirling their mechanic limbs in what I take as happiness.
"Draco said you wanted to talk?" I asked after filling him in on my day.
"Ah Draco put it on me, did he?" Uncle Lucius broke off into laughter. "It's not me that had something to say, but I guess Draco put it on me" he said once he stopped laughing.
"What is it?" I asked curiously, knowing it was nothing bad if Uncle Lucius was laughing.
"Draco isn't used to staying in a muggle home. This week has been too long for him. He wanted to ask if you would be alright with him moving into the house, I bought close by" Uncle Lucius informed me.
"Aww I guess you win that one. I could have sworn he would have lasted at least two weeks" I pouted, not at all angry. I knew that this is a big change for Draco, and he would have stayed if I needed it, which I don't. I really thought though that he would last longer.
"I think he would have lasted longer if you needed him. But from what I hear you and your father are getting along"
"We are…When does Draco want to leave?" I asked softly.
"Maybe a couple of days" Uncle Lucius paused before continuing "Little flower he's not leaving you. He'll still be there when you need him. Just in a magical home" he reassured quickly.
"I know Uncle Lucius. It would just be different, but I guess this way he could Floo to you so you wouldn't be so lonely" I brightened up.
"Yes, there is always that. Now why don't you get ready for the zoo? Take pictures and send them to me!"
Uncle Happy was the one that drove us to the Zoo. Despite the first impression of him Uncle Happy wasn't as bad as I thought he was. He was strict, and liked order, but he was also sweet and kind. Our second meeting went much better than the first, he even apologized for being so cold when we met the first time.
Pepper wasn't able to come with us to the zoo she had meetings that couldn't be postponed, even though dad said she should. It was sad that she would miss the day going out, but I promised to buy her a souvenir from the zoo.
The zoo was thankfully not as crowded, it being a school day so not a lot of kids were around, and most adults would be at work at this time. It made it much easier to walk around.
"Are you alright?" Draco checked in once again when we were in front of the tiger exhibit.
"Yeah, it's not that crowded" I reassured him; the crowds weren't bad enough for me to panic. I still stuck close to my family though, I've had enough of strangers pulling at me for a life time in Britain.
"Dahlia look we can pet the animals! Do you want to try?" Dad asked excitedly bounding over with a pamphlet.
"Can we? I'd love to" I approved quickly, ignoring Draco's petulant look. Draco I've learnt is very picky on the animals he likes to touch. The magical beasts that the Malfoys have are alright, his own owl was also on the approved list, but anything else he avoids. Unlike me, I don't really care I love them all.
"Tony come on man, that's your daughter. She'll freak if you do that!" I hard Uncle Rhodey hiss out behind me.
"No, she won't" Dad insisted sounding closer now.
I turned around to dad leading a man with a huge snake to me. The snake was beautiful, but was hissing lazily about stupid humans, or two leggers as they called us.
"Aren't you beautiful" I complimented the snake easily allowing the handler to place her around me.
"Dad take a picture of me!" I insisted laughing at Uncle Rhodey's shocked face.
If I was younger, I would have ended up talking or laughing at the silly things the snake was hissing on about. I pretended not to understand, only telling Draco softly later on that the snake thought he smelt tasty.
We took lots of pictures, even more than I thought was necessary, dad insisted that we have to commemorate our first family trip. At that reasoning even Uncle Happy stopped his grumbling, he even posed in front of a large bear statue.
"Do you want to eat in a restaurant or fast food?" Dad asked his stomach grumbling loudly, followed by my own growling in protest.
"I wouldn't mind having those cheeseburgers you talk about" Draco said, and I felt proud that he was trying food outside his comfort zone.
"I'm fine with that too" I agreed, "Can we get ice cream?"
"Do we want to eat in or in the car? We've been lucky no one has noticed us yet" Uncle Rhodey asked.
Not being noticed though was purely because of the spell that Draco and I cast, strong enough for no one to notice and recognize us.
"My disguise was perfect" dad boasted proudly.
"No, it wasn't, a hoodie and hat don't change you that much" Uncle Rhodey said.
"Yes, it does right Dahlia?" Dad asked.
"Don't bring me into this!" I denied any part of taking a side.
"Fine Draco what do you think?" Dad hopefully looked to Draco instead.
"I agree with Uncle Rhodey" Draco stated bluntly.
"It worked when I was in Tennessee" Dad pouted looking away from us.
"It would be like a car picnic" I pointed out not wanting dad to mope for long, even if I know he was just doing it to make us laugh.
"Well fine, we'll do drive through and eat in the car" He relented smiling brightly and telling Uncle Happy to go to McDonalds.
"This was fun!" I admitted to Draco later on that day.
"You've been a shut in too long" Draco sighed leaning against me on the couch.
"You say that as if you didn't have fun" I accused the blond pushing him gently.
"I didn't say that it wasn't. You just need to get out more, I'm sure your dad or uncles would love to accompany you. Maybe tomorrow you should go get your art supplies"
"Do you think dad would let me have a room for a studio?" I asked him.
"Your father would buy you the bloody moon if you asked" Draco stated, "Like it or not your father will spoil you just like mine does to me"

Dhalia's POV
"Dad can I talk to you?" I hesitantly asked from my spot on the couch in his lab.
Dad was fixing the braces Uncle Rhodey needed to walk, apparently it was glitching. I really wish I could just sneak him a potion and fix him, it hurt turning a blind eye to him each day. Especially today when he couldn't walk until his braces get fixed.
"What about kiddo?" He asked without looking up.
"Can I have a room for a studio? I'm an artist and I miss working" I confessed quietly.
"That's it? You've almost gave me a heart attack with how quiet you've been. I thought you wanted to leave me" Dad said breathing out deeply sitting more relaxed now in his chair. "I'll get a room set up. You can ask FRIDAY to order you supplies, or take Uncle Happy if you want to buy them yourself"
"thank you, dad," I chanted getting up and hugging him fiercely. At first, he stood stiffly but before I could even doubt the action, he was hugging me back gently.
"Next time there isn't any need to hesitate, ask me for whatever you want and I'll buy it for you" dad said pulling away and looking into my eyes.
"You don't have to buy it dad. I've got loads of money maybe just as much as you do if not more" I told him truthfully.
"Really? How?" He asked shocked but not seeming mad about that fact.
"My father, the one that adopted me and godfather came from old money. They were lords in Britain. When they passed away, I inherited everything. I think I'm the richest person in Europe" I stated factually.
"Huh, well what do you know" Dad said softly. "How about this time you let me spoil you, and then next time I'll maybe let you pay for yourself" He bargained.
"Would it make you happy to do that?"
"Exceptionally. I'm not really good with feelings, hopefully I'm doing a good job" I reassured him he was before letting him continue. "I've never had a good example of love or how to show care growing up. My childhood wasn't great. Buying things is something you can't really mess up and I lean towards that" he admitted shrugging his shoulders and looking away with an air of indifference.
"You didn't have a good childhood?" I was shocked asked shocked.
"Want to do a truth corner? I'll tell you about mine if you tell me about yours?"
"W-what do you mean?" I stuttered.
"It sometimes seems like you didn't have the best childhood either, and gods do I hope I'm wrong. But I want to know, and I've been pushing it off and blurted it out now but you don't have to talk if you don't want to. I'll still tell you" He rambled eyes wide in panic, hands fumbling with the wrench he was holding as he talked.
"I'd like to tell you it's just a long story" I told him truthfully.
I've wanted to talk to him about my past now for a while not knowing how to bring it up. It was more because Draco and Uncle Lucius insisted that dad should know how I grew up. Even my healer thought it would be a good idea to share and talk about it, something about talking making it better.
"Should I go first? Even afterwards if you don't want to talk it's fine" Dad reassured me leading me to the couch. "I feel like this conversation would need lots of cuddles"
We settled in on the couch with a blanket wrapped around us, which DUM-E had dragged over. For a moment we didn't talk, just sat there with dad running his hands through my hair gently.
"My father wasn't a good man" dad started after taking a deep breath. "He was too focused on his job and obsessed with finding Steve Rogers. I would constantly be compared to the man as a child"
"Steve the nagger?" I asked quietly.
Dad nodded his head before continuing, "Mom was great, she tried her best. Sometimes though it wasn't enough. My dad, he had a tendency to drink a lot. When he would get drunk, he'd hurt me and my mom"
I tightened my hold on him leaning into his chest offering up comfort. Hearing how his voice was filled with emotion when he talked. Happier when talking about finding his first real friend in Uncle Rhodey before being sad again when talking about going back to an abusive home.
"Then both Mom and my father died in a car crash. Which turns out wasn't even a crash but murder. I started to make weapons. Not knowing that my weapons were being sold illegally. It was only when I was taken by terrorists that I learned about it. I escaped I became Iron Man"
I listened in shock to everything that's happened to my dad. A portal to space, aliens, killer robots. Yet he sounded the most hurt and broken when talking about Steve's betrayal.
"I almost died. That's why it took so long for me to contact you. I was in surgery than recovering. Didn't want you to see me so weak"
"You are strong dad. I'm so sorry you had to go through that" I cried tears streaming endlessly down my face.
"Aww don't cry darling. I'm fine, I'm right here" He softly said holding me closer as I shook with uncontrollable sobs. He held me rubbing my back until I calmed down.
I took deep breaths trying to calm my erratic heartbeat. It was time to tell dad the truth, screw the statue of secrecy. If my dad truthfully told me all the shit, he went through he deserves the truth too.
"My mom Lily met you in a difficult time in her life. When the one-night stand resulted in me she panicked" I started looking at my dad in the eyes. "She was dating her school sweetheart and didn't know if he would be willing to take care of someone else's kid. James wasn't happy but he said he didn't care and will raise me as his daughter"
"Seems like a good man" Dad said softly nuzzling his cheek into my hair.
"He was a good dad too, at least from what I heard. Mom and Dad died when I was 15 months old. They were murdered" My soft declaration had dad tightening his hold on me. "I was left at my Aunt's doorstep, in the middle of the night with just a note. I was found in the morning when they came out to grab the newspaper"
"You were just dumped there? Where was your godfather? Who did it?" Dad asked furiously.
"Can I tell you in order the way I learnt everything?" I asked dad.
"Sorry, I'll try to control my outbursts" dad rubbed my back gently.
"My Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon hated me; I was their slave basically. Did all the cleaning, cooking, and gardening from a too young age. They encouraged their son Dudley to be cruel just as they were. I lived in a cupboard under the stairs for the first 10 years while I was with them"
"What changed?" Dad asked softly.
"I got a letter when I turned 11. From a school that taught witchcraft and wizardry" whispering the words fearing how he would react.
"Magic?" Dad asked sounding not so surprised. "I didn't know we had wizards and witches on Earth"
"Yeah, turns out I'm a witch. Wand waving broom riding and all…That's I mean…is that alright with you?" I asked hesitantly.
"Darling you're perfect. I don't care if you have magic or not. You can be a shapeshifter and I wouldn't blink an eye. You are my daughter and I love you. Magic and all" Dad firmly told me.
I used a small amount of magic to see his feelings and was happy to feel the love he was broadcasting unknowingly. "Thanks dad, I love you"
"Love you too. Now do you want to continue or leave it for later?" Dad asked.
I told him everything from the beginning the good the bad. Leaving nothing behind, throughout this entire process dad listened closely and attentively. The only interruptions being him swearing, laughing, or holding me closer as the stories went on.
"You know as much as I hate Voldemort, I can't for the life of me hate Tom Riddle" I mused after telling dad how I killed Voldemort.
"Whys that petal?" Dad asked his voice thick with emotion.
"He also had a shitty childhood. Lived in an orphanage during WW2, countless attempts of exorcism, and when he finally does go to a magical school he was constantly sent back. Dumbledore hated him from the start and made sure to make his life difficult," I shrugged my shoulders, "I mean he didn't have proper support, and he created those awful things just because he was afraid, unknowingly making himself into a monster"
"You're saying that he could have been different?"
"I think if he wasn't pushed to his obsession with immortality that he could have been the best wizard out there"
"Huh, well I doubt others share your views" I nodded my head in agreement. Breathing deeply bracing myself for talking about that night.
"I-I didn't want to celebrate, we lost so much you know. Just wanted to rest. Merlin I was tired" I said crying now just remembering. "Ron, well he found an opportunity, you see when someone with magic has sex they are married, your souls combine. He wanted my money"
"Oh, honey no!" Dad sobbed crying now for the first time since I started talking.
"I didn't know that fact until later, but sucks for him because magic doesn't accept rape. It's assault so no bonding happened. He thought getting me drunk would negate that but it didn't"
"Did you tell anyone? Those Auror people? Tell me he paid for what he did" dad practically begged.
"I did tell the Aurors, Draco convinced me. Everything was kept quiet; I didn't want the world to know what happened to me" I didn't want Rita Skeeter or other reporters to write nonsense about me. "But dad he didn't even get that strict of a punishment! Just house arrest for a year!"
"Is that why you moved to the states?" Dad asked softly.
"I wanted to get to know you, that wasn't a lie. Moving here was also to help me start a fresh start"
"I promise you petal, I will do my damn hardest to make sure you are safe. No one and I swear no one will manipulate or hurt you. Any attempt and I'll fucking kill them" Dad vowed passionately.
"I believe you dad, but you can't always be watching me" I sighed.
"I can't but an AI can, I'm going to have to get you your own" Dad said getting up and mumbling about his technological mumbo jumbo.
Dum-E was quick to come close and offer up a mournful beep, patting me in attempts of comfort.
"I'm alright bud, something tells me our dad's going to be on a war path"
"Are you alright? Do you want to talk to someone I mean a professional?" Dad asked turning to me suddenly. "I never did for a long time, but it helps"
"Uncle Lucius made sure I went to a healer. I have had regular check ins with my healer the past year. She approved of me leaving, although made sure I would stay in contact" I reassured the fussing man. "I might call her later tonight, just to talk it out. But I somehow feel lighter telling you"
It wasn't a lie either, it was nice to talk with dad. Not only do I not have to worry about hiding who I am and what happened to me, but I also know now that dad doesn't care if I'm magical. I didn't know how much I stressed over that fact until I told him about it and it felt like a weight was lifted off my shoulder.
"I'll always be here for you, petal" he promised kissing my forehead.
"I will always be here for you too dad" I vowed.
"That's it, we're making you the best art studio you have ever seen. Friday show me some Pinterest boards on art studios, come here petal and tell me which ones you like"
"Petal?" I voiced confused sitting beside him on a stool so we can see idea's together.
"Yeah, you Dahlia are my petal. Unless you don't like that nickname. I can always think of another. Just Draco and your Uncle Lucius call you little flower and I wanted one for myself" Dad rambled flipping through pictures without raising his eyes to meet mine.
"Petal is fine, I like it" I admitted focusing my attention on the pictures.
Chapter End Notes
How was it? Did you like it?
Originally wanted Tony to figure out Dahlia is magical because Loki points it out, but this just felt better.
Question: Has anyone of you read the Bewitched and Bewildered series By Alanea Alder?
I just haven't met anyone who has and its sad because I love off those books. If anyone is bored and wants to try em out, I recommend them.
Question 2(cause some may just ignore the first): Which universe would you rather live in the MCU or Harry Potter?
I would choose Harry Potter, MCU is just way too dangerous with Hydra and all that I'm sure I'd die very fast. Plus who doesn't want magic!

Tony's POV
Three days later, and I still felt so angry. I just wanted to break everything but I knew that what Dahlia needed was not me going off the rails. The smile she gave when I didn't treat her any different just further made me more resolved to put her needs first.
I swear that if I ever see that fucker, he's dead.
"Friday, what is petal doing?" I asked the AI, needing to be reassured that she was alright. I've found myself asking more often the last three days than I ever had. I made sure that I wasn't being too overbearing.
"Little boss is playing video games with Rhodey in the common room" Friday spoke up. "Maybe you should join her boss. And give her the AI you made for her and her new phone"
"Friday baby girl, what else do you think I could do to help out petal?" I asked.
"Besides hunting down the bastard and giving him a slow death?" Friday asked angrily, "Nothing boss, just love her and show her you care"
"I love when you get bloodthirsty, but let's not act on it" I told the Irish AI.
"Yet, you've programmed to me justifiably cruel if Ronald Weasley or Hermione Granger ever show up"
"No killing, maiming, or torture" I reminded the overprotective AI.
"Alright boss, I'll let Dum-E, U, and Butterfinger's know that we don't need that hammer they keep hidden"
"Those three weren't as blood thirsty until you came along Friday" I sarcastically said getting into the elevator.
"I wasn't either boss. But after hearing what little boss went through, I will protect her" Friday promised.
"I know you will, help your little brother once he comes online will you" Knowing she would do so regardless of me reminding her.
"That's not fair Uncle Rhodey! You cheated!" I heard my daughter accuse as soon as I stepped out of the elevator.
"Dahlia, there is no way to cheat in this game, just admit it your Uncle Rhodey is better than you" Rhodey laughed.
"You threw a pillow at me, that obstruction!" Dahlia pointed out; I didn't hear Rhodey's response but I did hear what Dahlia said next "Friday block Uncle Rhodey's controls next game!"
"That's cheating!"
"No, it's not, I'm using the resources available to me" Dahlia said innocently.
"Fine, brat you win" Rhodey said fondly. "Oh! Hey Tones! what's up?" He said once he saw me walk closer.
"I just finished making an AI for our darling petal" I said handing Dahlia her new stark phone. "Use this phone, I've already used your old one to put in all your contacts"
I showed her how the phone worked as she listened attentively. Then I activated the AI for her.
"Hello, it's nice to finally be online" a male Scottish voice filled the silent room.
"Hello, I'm Dahlia, what's your name?" Petal asked holding the phone close to her chest.
"Boss hasn't named me. Would you like to do me the honor and give me one?" The smooth talker asked.
"Ghost!" Dahlia immediately said.
"That's a good name, although why ghost?" I asked her curiously.
"Well, no one else can see him. He'll be like my personal Ghost"
"Alright then Petal, whatever you want. Now Ghost is also programmed into the tower so you can talk to him that way too" I informed her, "Now I also want to program him into some jewelry piece for you to wear. That way you have him with you always. So, which would you prefer? Necklace or bracelet?"
"Necklace please. Thank you, dad," I smiled at her, I will never get over her calling me dad.
"Boss Thor and Loki just arrived at the roof-top" Friday announced.
"What didn't we have another week until they come?" I looked up surprised.
"Clearly, they didn't get the memo dad, don't worry you can go. I'll just stay here with Uncle Rhodey and get to know Ghost"
Hesitating momentarily, not wanting to leave her with Loki somewhere in the tower, but relented. "Stay with your Uncle, I'll be down soon and then you can meet the gods" I ordered pressing a kiss to her head before jogging to the elevator.
Ordering Friday to take me up quickly and to not let them come down until I'm there. When I got to the roof, I was surprised to see the woman with Thor. I thought Loki was supposed to be coming, not who ever that was.
I couldn't help but notice how tiny she looked beside Thor even though she was fairly tall but not as tall as Thor. It didn't help that she was a skinny thing, especially compared to the big bulk of the thunder god. She was absolutely beautiful and when our eyes met I could swear there was a connection.
"Hey Thor, I thought you were going to bring Loki? Who's the woman?" I asked clapping him on his back.
"This is Loki, my sister" Thor said jovially.
"Wait what?" I asked looking at the green-eyed woman intently trying to see any similarity between her and the god that ruined New York.
Sure, the two had long black hair, although hers was longer. Her eyes were green whereas Loki's were blue last I checked. She seemed a bit shorter than I remember the man being. Another bigger difference was I was feeling funny looking at her, something that definitely didn't happen last time we met.
"Is this a god thing? Can you also change into a woman Thor?" I asked curiously.
"No, it's a magic thing. Loki sometimes prefers being female rather than male" Thor informed somewhat hesitantly like he was afraid how I would react. Maybe that is what he was afraid of, some humans can be assholes.
"You're gender fluid?" I asked the woman getting a slight nod in return. "Which pronouns do you prefer then? He/him, she/her, or them/they?"
"When I'm in this form I prefer she/her pronouns. When I'm male its he/him" She said softly pausing then looking at me directly into my eyes in defiance as if challenging me. Challenging me on what I don't know but god did she look beautiful.
"Alright I'll let everyone know about that so they won't use the wrong ones" I nodded trying to not show how much she was affecting me.
"Now before I take you down, I would like to tell you that I have a daughter, she's staying in the tower for the foreseeable future. Please don't crowd her, and if either of you hurt her, I will end you" I threatened.
"Friend, I assure you we wouldn't harm your child" Thor reassured.
"Last time Loki was here; she was the enemy. If even the good Captain can leave me for dead, I'm sorry to say that my trust wouldn't be won so easily, not for this. Friday will be watching"
"Last time we were here Loki as being controlled just as Barton was. Her eyes were also blue look now they are green" Thor said somewhat angrily, this must not have been the first time he's had to say this it seems. Something eased within my chest at hearing that though.
"I was wondering about the eye change. Fine I'll give you the benefit of doubt and allow you to meet my daughter. But Friday will still be watching" I warned pointing my finger at the two.
"That's understandable, now what is this about Captain leaving you for dead?" Thor questioned face furrowed in concern.
"Oh, Thor buddy you've missed a lot" I sighed before filling him, and I guess Loki too in on what happened.
"The captain was too stubborn for his own good. I will stand by your side Tony, if you wish to avenge your parents, I will do everything within my power to help"
"Thanks buddy, but I was angry when I first learnt about it. Don't get me wrong I still am, but not at James Barnes. He wasn't in control; it was all Hydra" It hurts to admit it, but after long talks with my therapist and Dahlia I knew that my anger was misplaced but not entirely unjustified.
"Right," Thor nodded his head, "So where is Steve now?"
"Steve, Natasha, Wanda, Sam, Clint, and Bucky are somewhere in the world on the run unless they get a pardon" I informed the god, "I've been pressured by some to help get them back"
"If they are all gone what about their families? Are they safe? Will you help get them back?" Thor shot off his questions.
"I've moved the families to a safe house where no one will be able to hurt them. If something does happen, they can call me and I'll be there" I told him knowing he was worried about Clint's wife and kids. "As for helping them I don't know yet"
"Whatever you choose, I will be here by your side. I apologize for not being there when you needed me"
"That's alright, now are you ready to meet my kid?" I asked elevator doors opening to the floor that my daughter is on.

Dahlia's POV
As soon as dad left, Uncle Rhodey was tense and extremely alert, looking around for any possible threats. I even had to stop him from getting his gun, feeling warm the entire time at his obvious concern for my safety.
"Hey Uncle Rhodey, do you think that the chefs would let me make dinner today?" I asked hoping the conversation would get him to relax.
The chefs, I learnt were as protective over the kitchens as the house elves were. The rare times they allowed us to cook was when dad gave them the morning off. As much as I like making breakfast food, I've been wanting to attempt making a roast dinner for a while now.
"In such a short notice? No, but I can talk them into taking tomorrow off for dinner" Uncle Rhodey laughed shaking his head.
"They are as stubborn as house elves" I grumbled out.
"Tony explained some of your magic stuff but he didn't talk about that. What are house elves?" Uncle Rhodey asked curiously.
I had told dad that Uncle Rhodey, Aunt Pepper, and Uncle Happy can be filled in the whole magic world. I knew dad trusted them and didn't like keeping secrets from them. What's three more people if I'm already breaking the statue of secrecy. As long as they don't spread it, which I know they won't, I'll never get caught.
"House elves are a magical creature that takes care of a wizarding family. They are a bit odd, some more so than others" remembering fondly of Dobby, "they are bound to a family"
"Like a slave?" he sounded both shocked and angry.
"Kind of, but they need to be bound. They can die without a wizard or witches magic grounding them" I explained, it was something that I learnt later on from the Malfoys. Even Dobby who claimed to be a free elf, was bonded but with Hogwarts instead.
"Do you have one?" the question was asked somewhat hesitantly.
"I have around 50" I admitted softly.
"50! Wow! Where are they all?"
"Most of them take care of the various properties I own; I have some staying with Uncle Lucius. Kreature, one of my house elves actually comes by often to give me paperwork to read over and sign"
Kreature the old black family house elf bonded with me after the war was won. All because I helped destroy the Slytherin locket. He was the one out of all my house elves that I meet regularly. Paperwork from the various businesses both Potter and Black family own or hold a share of was always delivered by him.
Kreature was also the one that was the middle man, or elf, between me and the Goblins while I couldn't go myself. I was given constant reports on how the money that was taken from me by the Weasley's, Granger, and Order were being repaid.
"Boss is bringing down Thor and Loki. He would also like me to inform you that Loki is Gender Fluid, while female likes being called by female pronouns and male pronouns while he is male" Friday's voice piped up.
"Is he like a metamorphmagus?" I asked curiously.
"I'm afraid I don't know what that is, can you explain?" Friday asked.
"Like a shapeshifter, someone that can change their appearance through their will by magic" I explained quickly.
"Then yes, I believe that is the case. You may ask her yourself" Friday told me.
"Make them get here faster Friday!" I said excited practically vibrating in excitement.
I knew Uncle Rhodey was curious on my sudden excitement, and had questions. He didn't ask though most likely opting to figuring out what happens when Dad brings our guests down.
"Alright Petal, do that again and I'm revoking your access to Friday" Dad threatened the moment he got out of the elevator "Going that fast couldn't possibly be safe. You almost gave your old man a heart attack!"
"Stop being a baby Tony, I doubt Friday would kill you" Uncle Rhodey drawled.
Ignoring the now bickering duo I bounded over the woman, keeping my distance from the larger man.
"Is it true you're a shapeshifter?" I blurted out the question immediately. Realizing how rude I was I quickly apologized, "Sorry, it's just my godson can also do so. But he had no one to teach him. Right now, he is just a baby and I feel helpless not knowing how to help him"
"You are a witch" Loki gently spoke.
"Yes, I am!" I beamed at her not at all afraid or wary.
Friday did explain to us how Loki was being controlled.
I never knew the Norse Gods were real, sure Sirius would be praying to Loki. The man even had a shrine made in his house dedicated to Loki.
"James daughter and Sirius's Goddaughter?" Loki asked a small smile gracing her lips.
"How did you know! Did you hear their prayers?" I asked excited now.
"They were very devoted, although I haven't heard from Sirius in a while, James for longer than that" she paused before bitterly saying, "I guess they must have seen the news huh"
"Dad was killed when I was a baby, and Sirius was killed four years ago" I shook my head sadly.
"Remus? What about him is he still alright?" Loki questioned somewhat desperately.
"Last year Remus and his wife were killed. It's actually his son Teddy that is my godson" I informed her sadly.
"Hey what's going on here? Why does Loki look like she's about to kill someone?" Dad questioned finally stopping his friendly argument with Uncle Rhodey.
"Did their killers die?" Loki asked me completely ignoring Dad and everyone else's attention on us now.
"I got the one who killed dad and Remus. Bellatrix the one that killed Sirius was killed by Uncle Lucius" I informed.
"Good, Hel will surely have each of their soul suffering"
"Wait, wait hold on. Why does their deaths mean anything to you?" Dad asked holding his hands in a time out way.
"They were my devoted followers. If you will please lead me to my room, I think I need to be alone" Loki said softly looking at dad.
"Oh of course, um, well follow me, I guess" Dad stuttered out.
"Dahlia, when you want, I would be honoured to help Teddy" Loki said before following my dad.
"I think I'm going go too, sorry about ruining the mood. It was nice meeting you Thor" I said before quickly making my escape.
I quickly made my way to the art studio dad had set up for me. The familiar scent of art supplies helped comfort.
"I'm afraid Princess that I sense you are in distress. But I don't know how to help you" Ghost spoke up the moment we were alone.
"I'm sad, I miss my family that died" I admitted to the AI grabbing paints from the shelves and setting up my canvas.
"How can I help?" The Scottish voice asked.
"You can talk to me while I paint" I told him.
Painting started off as part of my therapy, my healer had suggested that I take on a hobby. I took some lessons and it all went on from there. I wasn't good at first, but slowly I learnt it helped that I got the best tutors that Uncle Lucius could afford. I spent hours every day just painting.
Draco, once he saw the pile of paintings, I had made suggested selling them. I had scoffed at the idea initially. After all who would want to buy my paintings? I was hesitant on selling them, but uncle Lucius convinced me.
Turns out a lot of people did, especially because of the different runes I would etch into them while painting. Runes for protection, comfort, love, any really to push happy thoughts and feelings to the viewer.
While hosting a small get together with some acquaintances from work, Uncle Lucius put my paintings on the walls. Many witches and wizards asked him where he got them from, where they would be able to buy them, or who the artist was.
Slowly from there on out my career as an artist prospered. I had my own website where I sold my paintings. Maybe Ghost could help me run the website now, with all the mail I've been getting.
"Petal are you doing alright?" Dad asked knocking on the open door.
Turning around my hands dirty with paint, I motioned for him to come inside. "I'm fine, a bit sad but Ghost helped me with that" I told him continuing painting as I talked.
"That's good, if you want to talk, I'm always here" Dad shuffled around before sitting on an empty stool.
"What are you going to do with all the paintings once you're done?" Dad asked curiously looking at my half-finished canvas.
"I've got a website set up where I sell my paintings. They are getting popularity in the non-magical world. Although I'm still more popular in the magical world so I will send one in an auction there" I told him grabbing another paintbrush.
"Is it because of your fame that the magical people buy it more?" Dad asked causing me to laugh.
"No, I don't sell them under my own name. My identity is a secret. Uncle hosted a party and had my paintings up, those people wanted to buy it too. Uncle Lucius showed them where they could get it, and soon those people hosted parties and the process repeated itself" I told him still giggling. "My paintings sell really fast and at very high prices"
"Maybe I should do the same?" dad mused, shaking my head in amusement I allowed him to plot. There was no stopping him if he put his mind on something.
"Princess might I suggest an Instagram page? I've researched other artists have one to promote their paintings and interact with fans" Ghost spoke up.
"Why don't you make one for my Ghost, and you can be in charge of replying to comments and stuff" I told him fishing out my phone to take a picture of the half-finished canvas. "You can make that picture the first post"
"I'll leave you to it then Petal, I'll be in the lab" Dad softly said kissing my forehead before leaving.

Tony's POV
I've been in the kitchen for a while watching Dahlia cook up a storm. She was making roast beef, carrots, mashed potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, and gravy made from scratch. It was pure torture sitting here and yet not being allowed to even taste a small bit of food. The delicious smelling food had everyone on the floor making rounds for a taste. Not that Dahlia let anyone try some, they were all shooed out quickly. Thor has already come in 5 times within the last 20 minutes just to know when the food will finish.
"Hey Ghost can you message Draco and tell him to come over for dinner?" She asked while mashing the potatoes.
"Petal is there enough for two more? Jane and Darcy will be coming, I forgot to tell you" I said remembering how I had hired Jane and Darcy. They were supposed to be here before Thor as a surprise but clearly that didn't work out.
"I'm cooking food for two Asgardians, dad, obviously I'm making sure there is enough to spare. I even think we will have leftovers" She said turning around to make a face before going back to her cooking.
"The sass on you, do you hear that U?" I asked the bot. "I swear she's becoming sassy. I blame you Friday" I teased pointing up at the ceiling.
"I think I've learnt from you dad" She piped up. "I think the food is almost made, why don't you go do something until?"
"Finally kicking me out of your domain? Fine I'll just be leave, but I call dibs on the first plate" I said while walking out the kitchen only to bump into a lurking Loki.
"Your daughter someone's hurt her" He said softly staring intently at Dahlia's back.
"Well, we've had shit childhoods" I said vaguely to the man, trying to avoid eye contact. Damn it what is up with me and getting affected by Loki?
Loki sighed grabbing my hand, no I did not turn red, and pulled me away from the kitchen, "No I mean someone has forced themselves on her"
"How do you know?" I asked narrowing my eyes staring at the god intently.
"Her magic is…injured? No that's not the right word. Defensive?" Loki said softly "Yes, defensive around males, practically ready for a fight. Not with you and her Uncles, But with Thor and I at least while I'm in this form"
"Is that why you switch to female whenever you talk to my daughter?" I asked him, Friday had pointed it out and I had found it odd.
"I did not wish for her to be distressed in my presence. If she is amicable I could teach her self defence with and without magic" Loki fondly whispered, making a warm feeling spread in my chest. Gods who knew a man putting effort to care for your kids needs would be so hot.
I just wanted to kiss him. Alright wait lets back it up, it's only been like three days since Loki came here. I cannot be falling so hard so fast.
"Are you doing some magic thing to make me like you?" I blurted out not being able to find any other way to say it but blurt it out.
"You feel it too?" Loki asked shocked.
"Explain please" I asked desperately.
"Magic has a way to interact with those they deem worthy. In this case my magic believes you are the one for me. I don't think it is forcing you, more like focusing in on the qualities you like"
"But that's everything, even the way you stand!" I said exasperated not registering what I just said before continuing, "Is it like soulmates?"
"In a sense. Although if you decide you don't want to be together the magic would listen"
"How come we didn't feel anything the first time we met?" I asked the question that has been haunting me since Loki's reappearance.
"Eye contact. The first time we met we had eye contact but I was being controlled so the magic was warped. When I finally had my senses about me, we didn't once lock eyes" Loki told me his voice sounding nothing but truthful. "That's why the scepter didn't affect and control your mind. My magic fought it allowing you to keep your mind"
"Wait, you mean that wasn't my arc reactor?" all this time I assumed it was because of my reactor that I was saved.
"Is that what you thought? No, the scepter had taken hold of many people, through bulletproof vests, shirts, coats, ID cards, the reactor wasn't what protected you" Loki said shaking his head lightly.
"This connection that we have what does it mean? Like I understand soulmates, do you want to go out?"
"Tony are you asking me out on a date?" Loki teased.
"Yeah...I mean yes. Let's go to the movies or dinner get to know each other better" I fumbled over my words, god what is it with Loki that makes me into a fumbling fool? I've had countless woman and men in my bed yet Loki is the one that affects me the most.
"Tomorrow?" I nodded my head at his question already thinking of places we could go.
"I'll see you then. Now I've got to speak to your daughter about self defence lessons, if that is you approve"
"Yeah, go for it" I managed to get out watching as he turned into his woman form.
"Thanks Tony!" she kissed my cheek, and for a moment I stood there dumbfounded.
"Boss Peter Parker is texting" Friday spoke up finally bringing me back to reality.
"What's he up to?" I asked heading towards the roof.
"He wanted you to know his patrols are going great and he helped a child find their dog" I couldn't help but smile as Friday continued to describe Peter's day.
I regretted bringing him in to Germany, for a long time I was so guilty about putting him in danger. I had assumed that everything would be quietly discussed, there was a small feeling that a fight may occur. I didn't realize how big it would get.
Peter was the one that reassured me that everything was fine. He somehow convinced Pepper to let him see me while I was recovering, Friday most likely helped, and he would come every day.
I've only recently told him to keep some distance, I didn't want to overcrowd Dahlia but she is doing extremely well with everyone she is meeting.
"Hey Friday, why don't you let the kid know he can come over for dinner today. I bet Dahlia would love to meet him" I bet she would like it better having someone closer to her own age, other than Draco, around the tower. Dahlia can do with having more friends, so far, the ones I know of I can count on one hand, Luna, Draco, and Blaise. I don't even think the last one counts, he's more Draco's friend then Dahlia's.
Inviting Peter was a good idea, what could possibly go wrong?

Dahlia's POV
"Alright Dum-E this is important" my tone serious as I stared down the robot, "I need you to make sure no one comes into the kitchen and sneaks a bite while I go change. Think you can do that?" I asked getting three beeps and a nod of his big robot head.
"Alright I'm trusting you!" I told him happily getting a smallish salute in return.
Cute as the bots were, I did not like them hovering while I changed, I've opted to give them tasks which they were more than happy to do. They like feeling useful. I've already sent out U and Butterfingers to get dad and Loki for dinner. The two being the easiest to find, the others Friday could tell them herself.
I was a bit nervous meeting new people, for the longest time now it's only been Draco and Uncle Lucius. Even now sometimes I jump with one of my Uncles, especially Thor. Thor tries his best to be soft spoken and not charge towards me, but despite his efforts I still couldn't help the fear at times.
War does that to a person, or so my therapist says. Not to mention what happened afterwards but with all these people I'm getting a bit paranoid. The studio has been a great escape, before the studio it was my room.
Jane and Darcy, I've heard a lot about them. Thor going on about his lighting sister and the beautiful Jane. While Thor couldn't explain exactly what Jane does, dad explained it in great detail.
I wonder if they would like me?
Too busy in my own thoughts, I didn't realize someone was in front of me until I bumped into him hard enough to send me flying towards the ground. Before I could make contact, warm arms wrapped around me and held firmly so that I wouldn't fall.
"Are you alright!" A boy's voice asked concerned.
That was as much as I could handle, "Please let go of me" I said quietly but loud enough for him to hear as I was quickly released.
"Shit! Sorry I shouldn't have don't that!" I heard him say as I tried to get my magic, that wanted to lash out at the perceived threat, under control.
"My name's Peter. Peter Parker"
"Oh, for the love of all things magical!" I recognized Draco's voice, "Move Peter or whatever you are"
"Dahlia, little flower, look at me. You are safe in stark tower, no one is trying to hurt you" Draco told me softly. "If you don't calm down, I might have to resort to shoving a calming draught down your throat"
"Well, that's violent" an unfamiliar female voice spoke.
"Say's the one who threatened to tase me!" Draco hissed back before softly adding, "Whatever that means"
"I'm good now, promise, sorry about that" I could feel the heat rising in my cheeks at the stupid first impression that I just gave to the new people in the room.
"This is so embarrassing" I whispered quietly to Draco.
"Nope it was a perfectly natural, if Peter wasn't in such a hurry, he wouldn't have collided with you"
"The same could be said for me" I smiled looking up at Peter, the one I bumped into. His face was alight in concern and guilt. It was endearing to see him wearing his emotions so obviously.
"I'm alright" I assured the teen.
"I'm still so sorry!" Peter apologized looking so utterly guilty.
"How about you make it up to me by eating your fill in dinner" I said leading the two woman, who I assume to be Darcy and Jane, along with Peter to the kitchen. I'm going to strive to ignore the sheer embarrassment that just happened, I'm only thankful no one else was here to see it.
Telling Dum-E a quick thank you and now leading everyone in side so we can eat. More often than not we would eat at the counter, it was big enough to fit us all and there were more than enough barstools for everyone.
If more people come, we are going to have to find a different system, but for now it was perfect.
Draco, ever the wizarding gentleman, served all the woman the food I made, before letting the male's dish themselves some. It used to baffle dad and the others but just followed along, now they know it's some magic thing.
Which it's kind of was, a cultural difference I suppose. The man always served the woman first, as thanks for making the food and taking care of the family.
Dinner was awkward. Between Peter still feeling guilty, Thor and Jane making love eyes, and the weird glances Dad and Loki shared, it was only Draco, Darcy and I trying to engage in conversation as a group.
Uncle Rhodey was also no help, he was just sitting back relaxedly eating, watching us like he was watching the best show ever.
"You're one of those stuck-up rich kids aren't ya?" Darcy asked Draco, at this point I don't even remember what they were arguing about and opted to ignore Draco's response.
"Dad how do you know Peter?" I asked, knowing if I asked Peter, I may not get a coherent response.
"He helped me out with a problem I had recently. Decided to keep him around as an intern. The kid is extremely smart, I can't wait to see what he does when he's older" Dad boasted, and I saw Peter sit straighter in pride.
No doubt if I looked in his mind he would be utterly devoted to my dad, and feeling a lot of pride in the praise he got out of him.
"T-thanks Mr. Stark!" the teen stuttered flushing red.
"Speaking of kid, this summer I'm inviting Harley, over maybe you both would like to start a project together"
Harley is a name I recognize from dads' stories; he talks about him often. I don't even think he realizes he takes on such a proud parental tone when talking about him, like he did now with Peter.
I wonder how dad will feel when he realizes he's adopted two sons unknowingly.
"Shit damn! I got to take this call" Dad said looking at his ringing phone. "Sorry Petal, I know you like have dinner together. I'll make it up to you!" He apologized ruffling up Peter's mess hair before quickly running out of the kitchen.
Peter had a small smile on his face as he watched dad leave. Yeah, there is certainly no way dad hasn't adopted the kid.
"After dinner Peter, do you want to see my Art Studio?" I asked after all, there was no harm in getting to know my new little brother now was there.
"I'd love to!"

Dahlia's POV
Three days.
Dad has been gone three days. Only calling once yesterday to tell me that he was alright and will be home when he can. Not that it did anything to help ease my worries. For all I know he could have called to say that and then gotten into some trouble.
The only reason I wasn't out there finding my dad was because Friday kept reassuring me that he is doing fine and she is still connected to him. No matter how much I ask she won't tell me where exactly dad went.
Even Peter was worried, coming over twice a day to check if dad was back. The only good thing about dad leaving was that Peter and I interacted more often than we would have initially. There was no longer any awkwardness.
"Come on Dahlia, let's go out! You can't stay cooped up here and worry" Peter whined trying to pull me towards the elevator. I knew he would have been able to force me if he wanted, he was strong after all, but he didn't.
"We can go out to eat ice cream" He bribed looking at me with his sad brown eyes.
"All right fine!" I threw my hand up in the air. "Just stop with the eyes" I told him pinching the bridge of my nose in exasperation.
"Come on let's go!" Peter was back to being excited as I allowed myself to be pulled along.
Getting ice cream turned into a tour, Peter surprisingly made a very goof tour guide. He took me to all his favorite places, like the deli, the library, his favorite hotdog stand.
Peter was like an excited puppy talking a mile a minute, rarely did I get a chance to talk, not that I wanted to. I was content just listening. It was because I was listening and paying close attention to him that I saw the effort he put in so that I wouldn't bump into strangers.
"You know what Peter" we were waiting in line for ice cream.
"What Dahlia?" he hummed looking at me.
"I'm glad you got me out of the tower. I really had fun" I truthfully told him, trying to casually look over the ice cream flavours.
"I'm happy too…so, which flavor do you want?" glad he wasn't making a big deal about it I looked over the flavours more excited now.
"Hmm, how about the…Mango Tango one?" the yellow colour of the ice cream was the only reason I asked. I would normally have either chocolate or vanilla but I wanted to try something new. I chose something which I might like, who doesn't like mango's? "what about you?"
"Cotton Candy" that was another one of my choices but I didn't know if I would like it which is exactly what I told Peter.
"Maybe you could try a bit of mine and see?" Peter offered.
"I didn't tell you that to force you to share Peter" I told him paying for out Ice cream before he could do so himself.
"I know," he insisted, "You can still try it. If it makes you feel better, I'll try a little of your mango tango" he was already grabbing those little white fake spoons they give.
"Alright, if you say so" I agreed. "Want to sit down here and eat our ice cream or eat while walking?"
"It's too crowded here; we can eat while heading back to the tower"
As it turned out, Peter and I ended up swapping each other's ice cream. I liked the cotton candy one better and he liked the mango tango. We laughed at ourselves when we admitted that fact, before switching our ice cream cones.
"Daddy!" I cried out surprised when I saw him on the couch.
"Hey petal, sorry for being gone so long" he held me tightly after I launched myself at him.
"Are you alright? Why did you leave? You aren't hurt, are you?" I shot out question after the other.
"I'm alright. The safe house I had the Barton family in was found. I had to get them out. They are settled in the tower now. I'm not hurt. It was a long process to get them off our trail" Dad explained calmly. "Now what have my two kids been up to?"
"Peter gave me a tour, we also at hot dogs and ice cream"
"Why don't the three of us go down to the lab?" Dad asked already leading us down.
Watching dad and Peter work was more amusing than just watching dad alone. Watching as dad fussed, praised, and in general was a dad to Peter and seeing him just soak it up.
It had me wondering is Peter had a dad, he seemed starved of fatherly affection.
"Dad when we go out to the aquarium can Peter come too?" I asked distracting the two from their techno mumbo jumbo.
"Sure, that's a great idea. What do you think Pete?"
"I'd love to, but are you sure I won't be a bother?" he looked at me before continuing, "I don't want to be a bother while you're with your dad"
"Please, as if you'd be a bother. Dad practically treats you like his own kid" I told him watching dad's face scrunch up in confusion before his eyes blew wide in surprise.
"I have another kid!" Dad yelled jumping up from his spot on his stool and fully focusing on a flushed Peter.
"Friday, I need to update my will again…do you think May would let me adopt you make it official?" not waiting for any answer he continued on, "Harley! Shit Harley is my kid too! I've got so many! What do I do?" panicking now he paced mumbling plans to himself.
"Dad! Dad! There is no need to panic. Just treat us the same. Now you just know that you've practically adopted them, nothing has changed. They are your heart children." I tried to calm the man, a useless venture.
"Do you think I could adopt them for real?"
"I don't think Aunt May would let you, but I like the idea of being your heart children" peter glanced toward me confused, "What is that anyway?"
"It's when you see a child as your own. They aren't yours biologically, or in papers, but you're in your heart they are your kids. Like you are my heart brother" I explained smiling at the younger teen.
"Is this a magic thing? Do you think I could blood adopt Peter?" Dad asked for once forgetting that not everyone knew about magic.
"Blood? Magic? what?"
"Oh shit! Damn!" dad cursed, "Don't repeat that kids, it's a naughty word"
Naughty? What are we 5? It seems like finding out about more kids has fried dad's brain.
"It's alright dad" I was already planning on letting Peter in on the secret. "A small population of people on Earth has magic. I am one of those, it's a secret so you can't tell anyone. I can tell you more about it later on if you want"
"I'd love to! If we are sharing secrets, I've got one…I'm spiderman" he looked at me in awe.
"Yeah, we are definitely talking later," I should have connected the dots before, but I didn't. Now though I need him to tell me everything he knows about what happened in Germany. I knew he was there and dad kind of told snips and pieces of what happened, but I need more information.
As if realizing where my thoughts went, he sent me a small smile, and dipped his head.
"Do you want to see your first bit of magic?" I asked them both. "The potion I made for Uncle Rhodey is finally ready. I was waiting for you to come home dad before giving it" it wouldn't be an extravagant show of magic, but interesting enough for the two swots in front of me.
Draco had secretly gotten a healer to come look at Uncle Rhodey, making sure to swear him into secrecy. We wanted to be certain the best course of action to take to heal Uncle Rhodey's legs. It was a relief that a simple Skele-gro would fix the issue.
"Now Uncle Rhodey, this won't be a pleasant experience, it's also going to taste like shit, and isn't entirely painless" I warned the man while forcing him in bed. "Last time I took it, it took the entire night to fix up my arm, although it was regrowing every bone there since it was vanished"
"How did that happen?" Peter piped up.
"A stupid Professor, boasted more than he was actually capable of" I answered before going back to explaining, "I'd recommend drinking it down like a shot. Quickly"
"What's in it?" Uncle Rhodey asked dubiously looking at the yellow potion.
1 Chinese chomping cabbage, 3 pufferfish, 5 scarab beetles, 1 fanged geranium, 1 arm bone, and 1 red spider, not any ingredients that would reassure him. Fun fact it was actually invented by the founder of the Potter family. How cool is that?
"I wouldn't poison you Uncle Rhodey, sides this is a family recipe" I told him with a smile.
"How so Petal?" Dad asked.
"The founder of the Potter Family invented this potion" I told him watching as Uncle Rhodey took the potion, spluttering and making a face as it went down.
"Couldn't he do anything about the taste? God that was awful!" Uncle Rhodey complained.
"Maximum a day. One day and you'll be able to walk again. Until then you'll be in a bit of pain. Let me know if you need anything I'll be staying here" I told him my corner already set up.
"What should I tell the chef to make for him?" Dad asked making himself comfortable.
"I don't know, I was always fed soup" I admitted, "But whatever he wants. It doesn't really matter"
"I'd rather have some pasta rather than soup, and some garlic bread"
"I'll let the cooks know and have one of them bring it in" Dad said typing away on his stark pad.
"Is there anything else your family has created?" Peter asked curiously.
"a pepper up potion, that is like an energy booster, and also a remedy for the common cold, my grandfather created a hair potion that helps manage and tame your hair"
"That's so cool! Do you think I can try some on mine?" Peter asked gesturing to his curly hair.
"I don't see why not. Do you not like your curly hair?"
"Nah its not that," he shook his head "I was curious how I would look with straighter hair"
"Understandable, I also used it on my curls for a couple of months when I was 14. I stopped though; I loved my curls more. I have some with me though, just in case I wanted to try something different"
"So is the magical world very different from ours?" Peter asked.
"Loads, it's like a completely different country with different set of rules. The rules vary depending on which magical community you belong to, but there are some generic rules" I explained.
"What are some generic rules?"
"Like how someone gets married, and certain laws. There are so many to explain I won't be able to. Draco could explain it better" I admitted.
"How do you get married?" Peter was now listening intently.
"Consensual sex. Although you can get married without that but it's a longer process, and your magic doesn't bond" I explained.
"What do you mean you can still get married. You told me that it wasn't the case" Dad asked worried.
"My case was different" I reassured dad, hesitating on telling the rest but I knew I had to in order to ease his worries. "Uncle Lucius wasn't married to his wife. Draco was a result of Abraxas, his father, and Narcissa, his wife's, planning. They were married but not bonded"
In short it was rape staged by Uncle Lucius dad just because he didn't hold the same views on muggles and muggleborns. Abraxas was afraid that Lucius would marry someone less worthy, so he spiked his own sons drink and the result was Draco. Lucius would never have left his own son and that's how he was stuck with a crazy wife, and death eaters.
"How about your mother and I? We had consensual sex, was I married all this time by magic?" dad asked still worried.
"No, mom was already married to James Potter although she didn't believe so. To her you had to be married at church and file the correct forms. She denied their marriage until she found out about me" as much as I was thankful to my mother, her not following or learning wizarding culture was not something I approve of. "James adopted me right when I was born, naming his best friend my godfather. No one knows that I was not sired by James"
"Wow, that's kinda fucked up" Uncle Rhodey said breaking the silence that set in.
"Yeah, it's kind of was. Sad thing is a lot of kids not raised in the magical world don't accept it either. They just believe the others are being to backwards or old thinking. Even I didn't know about a lot until Draco and his dad taught me"
"Are there books on this stuff? I'd like to learn" Dad asked, and was that a blush on his face? Oh, Merlin it was! Why do I have a feeling it has something to do with Loki?
"I have books you can read" it wouldn't hurt to also give him some books on courting, just in case.

Question: Where would the date between Tony and Loki be?
I'm asking cause I don't know what would be good. I'm not taking a vote just seeing idea's cause I genuinely don't know what date they should go on. If I like your idea I will mention it in the beginning of the date chapter and give credit to the idea where credit is due.

Dahlia's POV
Watching Uncle Rhodey finally get up without the braces would be a moment I would never want to forget. It was like a weight was lifted off his shoulders and he looked much more relaxed, more himself. He took some hesitant steps, before gaining his confidence, striding straight towards me and gently enveloping me into his embrace.
"Thank you" he had whispered huskily, as if I had just given him the moon. To him I just may have, but for me I don't think I did much. It wasn't like I invented the potion; I just brewed it and gave it to him.
"God you are way too humble, something your dad isn't" Uncle Rhodey ignored dads indignant protest just rolling his eyes before continuing, "It's because of you I can walk again by myself. This may be normal in your world but it isn't for me, and I feel so blessed to have you as my niece. Thank you!" he passionately finished.
"You're welcome, Uncle Rhodey" I opted to say knowing he wouldn't take any other answer.
"My kids are the best" Dad boasted.
"See what I mean, your dad is so conceited he didn't even let you inherit the gene" Uncle Rhodey teased laughing at the face dad made.
"Alright come on, enough of making fun of me. What do you want to do first? Go for a run? Take a walk?"
"I'm going to go for a swim. Couldn't do that with the braces" Uncle Rhodey said grabbing his swim shorts. "Want to come with me?"
"No thank you Uncle Rhodey. But how about afterwards we watch a movie together?" I denied, no matter how much I love the man, I will not be going for a swim. I still couldn't shake the fear of drowning off when I'm submerged in water, even though Draco taught me to swim. I just can't do it and I'm glad neither Uncle Rhodey or Dad pushed me to go.
"That sounds like a plan" Uncle Rhodey agreed, pressing a kiss to my head before leaving.
"Guess I'm going to have to sit on the chairs and watch him. Text me if you need anything Petal, I'll make sure not to get any of your books wet" Dad promised following after his best friend.
I wanted nothing more than to just go to take a nap, or even paint if I had to be awake. I would have been doing that too if it wasn't for Loki. As amazing as she was to be around, I absolutely dreaded her self defense lessons.
Magic self defense was fine, at least in that I was somewhat proficient, and I caught on to the concept faster. Physical self defense? That was a whole other ball game.
Not only did Loki have me running laps, she also had me building up some semblance of muscle. Each day I start off with a workout routine to strengthen my body, and then we would move onto either magic or physical defence.
"You know" I panted swiping sweat off my forehead, "You're like a drill sergeant"
"I know. But I'd rather you learn to protect yourself" She gently told me.
"I'm not a fighter. I'm tired of fighting" I whined for the first time, my body hurt and I was getting a slight headache.
"I'm not training to make you fight. I'm doing it so you can protect yourself from anyone that might harm you. Your dad has a lot of enemies and when the world finds out about you, and trust me they will, some might go after you to get at your dad" Loki patiently explained.
Thinking it over I couldn't find any fault in that argument. That didn't immediately take away all my tiredness and pain but it did make me appreciate the effort she was showing to train me.
"Sorry, I get it. But can we stop for today? My body hurts and my head is starting to hurt"
"Do your stretches and then we are done for today. Take a warm bath and if you're still feeling horrible, I will give you a massage" that sounded like heaven, especially after the intensive workout.
"What is your preferred weapon other than magic Loki?" I asked during my stretches.
"Daggers. Would you like me to teach you? I always have two on my person, and the others are just a flick of wrist away"
"I don't know if I would like stabbing people, even in self defense. Is there any other weapon we can use?" I hesitantly asked.
"Darcy, Thors lighting sister, uses what you mortals call a taser"
"What exactly is a taser?" I asked curiously, I don't think I've ever heard of that before.
"You know, I don't actually know" Loki confessed.
"Ghost! Whats a taser?" I asked my AI.
"A taser is a weapon that administers a non-lethal electrical shock. It's used to incapacitate targets by shocking them so that you can apprehend them or if used in self defense run away while they are down" Ghost explained kindly. "Would you like me to order a taser for you princess?"
"Not yet, I'm going to talk to Darcy about them first" I denied focusing back onto my stretches.
"Hey, uh Darcy can I talk to you?" I asked awkwardly knocking on her and Jane's shared lab door.
"Starks kid? Sure, I can talk" She agreed before turning to the mumbling scientist "Jane I'm going for a bit, don't blow anything up this time" she yelled before coming out the door.
"Sooo, what can I do for you?" Darcy asked getting straight to the point.
"Umm you see, Loki, she's been teaching me self defense. When it got to weapons, he mentioned you use a taser and recommended that to me because I didn't want to stab people. So, I was wondering can you tell me more about it? Like do you like using it? Is it easy?"
Darcy immediately let up and explained everything about her most wonderful taser, her words not mine, and even told me stories on every person/alien she's used it on. It was a mission following along with her stories as she jumped from topic to topic but after a while, I was used to it. It was kind of like listening to the twins talking.
"Here I'll show you how it works too, come on let's find Thor" Darcy said leading me to where I assume Thor would be. We had to end up asking Friday for directions, and I followed her despite not knowing why we were looking for Thor.
Practically skipping up to Thor, Darcy whispered in his ear gesturing to me every so often where I stood further away. I watched Thor's facial expression jump from happiness, to being vary, and finally he was resigned to whatever Darcy wanted to do.
"Okay so this is how a taser works" Darcy said now back at my side.
In her hands she held the taser pointed towards Thor. She pressed a button and Thor let out a scream falling down to his knees and then onto his back.
"Darcy!" I exclaimed in horror.
"What he agreed to it. Now you know how this bad boy works" She said shrugging her shoulders.
"So, would you want to use it?" Darcy asked completely ignoring Thor on the floor.
The answer was yes, even though it was horrifying to see Thor on the floor.

Tony's POV
The book, gods the book petal gave me had me reading it until the early morning. Had to hide my interest in the courting books after the hour we spent at the pool. Don't get me started on the movie night, it was pure torture!
I loved spending time with my daughter, but it was as if she knew! Dahlia just wouldn't let me leave to go and read the book, even after the movie finished! It was like giving a kid a bowl of ice cream then telling them to wait.
"Friday, what do you think Loki would like to do on a date?" I asked, sure I've gone on countless dates. But Loki is not just a small-time thing, I want it to mean more.
"I've observed Loki reading a lot of books. He seems to be enjoying The Hobbit right now. Maybe you can book a theater and have them play the movie" Friday suggested.
The idea wasn't completely horrible either, we wouldn't be able to watch all three movies but there will always be other dates. Before going to the movies, we can go to a café and get something to eat and drink.
Mind made up I took a quick shower, but not too quick didn't want to stink now, and got dressed. As much as I wanted to dress up, I went with a casual look. Black half-sleeved shirt, jeans, boots, and watch.
"Loki, what do you say you me and movies?" I mumbled to myself, no that sounds too cheesy. "Hey Loki want to go on a date?"
"I'd love to" Loki purred so suddenly that it freaked me out causing me to yell out.
"How long have you been at my door?" I asked holding a hand to my racing heart.
"Just a couple of moments. I was here to ask if you wanted to go out, but you beat me to it" Loki said shuffling nervously.
Now that I look at him, he was dressed to go out, black jeans and a very fitted black shirt. That might I say hugs his muscles perfectly, not that I was ogling, obviously that it.
"Where were you going to take me then?" I asked instead trying to play off how flustered I was.
"Well…I didn't exactly know where to go. I was just going to a close by bookstore" Loki said flushing ever so slowly.
"You just wanted more books" I teased knowing how much he loved to read.
"Guilty, where are you going to take me?"
"Have something to eat at the Flower Café, and then go to the movies. I'm thinking of watching the hobbit" I told him the plan for today.
"We're going to watch the Hobbit? There's a movie for it?" Loki asked his face alight with excitement.
I nodded my head to answer both his questions, "So shall we?" holding out my hand which was immediately taken by the other.
Our first stop was to the café. Loki had cast a spell on us so that no one would recognize us and ruin our date, a fact that baffled me to no extent. People just didn't see you?
"What would you like?" I asked Loki pulling out his chair for him before taking a seat myself.
"I wouldn't mind a sandwich, any that you recommend, and maybe a strawberry smoothie to drink" well that's no pressure ordering for someone you're trying to impress at all.
It's alright I got this, I'm Tony Stark, I gave myself a little pep talk. I ordered the sausage egg and cheese breakfast sandwich for the both of us, an iced coffee for myself and no I did not forget to order Loki's smoothie.
"You are very nervous about this aren't you?" Loki leaned in closer, looking at me intently.
"Well, yeah. I mean I want this to work and you're amazing and beautiful and I can't mess it up. Plus, the courting book Dahlia gave me has so many instructions and some of them seem so outdated, I'm trying to do my best here"
"You're such a silly, perfect, beautiful man" Loki smiled, "If someone had to impress the other, I think it would be me. Even though you don't think so. As for courting, I think Asgardian courting would be different from the book Dahlia gave you. Let's just relax and enjoy ourselves"
"Yeah, I can do that" I agreed feeling much more relaxed. "You also don't have to impress me trust me I'm already impressed" I told him truthfully.
I may have been a tad too obsessed and watched any and all feed with Loki in them. As much as he tried to show that he was an unsocial person to others, he's never done so to Dahlia or I. He yells at Thor, yet I've noticed it seems to be all in jest the way siblings argue. I saw how intently he would read books, how carefully he taught my daughter. He went out of his way to make her comfortable, even if that meant being female when he would have rather been male.
We ate our food, not exactly making small talk, but exchanging stories of our younger days. Trying to one up the other on the stupid stuff we got into. Somehow the talk shifted to the stupid things others around us did.
By far the best one was Thor dressing up as a bride to save his hammer.
After eating, we slowly made our way to the theater. Walking hand in hand, for once I didn't have to worry about the paparazzi following me around. It was only when we got to the movie theatre did Loki drop the spell so we can get in.
Having watched the movie already, I spent more time looking at Loki than I did watching the film. He was completely enthralled, and for once he didn't try to hide his emotions. Going from laughing, to being anxious, to happy again.
"You know you'll have more fun if you were actually watching the movie" Loki leaned in to whisper in my ear while still being intently focused on the dwarves fighting the trolls.
"Oh honey, I am enjoying myself" I purred back, smiling at the sight of Loki turning so red that I noticed even in the dim lighting.

Dahlia's POV
Three months have flown by living with my dad. It has been great more than that but I can't possibly find the words to explain. In these past three months I've felt closer to all my family in the tower, even some of the workers that I would see following dad around.
Dad would do his rounds to meet with his workers, sometimes just going to chat and check in, other times helping out on a project. It's funny how this side of dad never gets shown in the media, the caring kind boss. Instead, he gets shown in a bad light.
Recently the media has been going wild over dad two timing his mysterious girlfriend with a man. Little do they know that they are the same person, Loki. It was hectic when dad finally confessed to the tower that the two were dating. Not in denial, but everyone had bets on when dad would announce their relationship status.
I've finished five paintings while here, two of which were already sold to a wizard in Iceland. The other three were going to be sold through my website. I was working on two paintings to gift to Peter and Harley. I haven't met Harley in person yet, but we've talked a lot on the phone. Once summer comes in just a couple of months Harley is going to come to visit.
Everything was going so well that obviously it wouldn't last, after all my luck has never been so good.
The first problem that occurred was slow going. Dad was getting busier, and seemed more and more agitated. I was worried but every time I asked, dad waved it off stating it was just the government being up on his case. I later found out that, the government wanted dad to bring back Steve and his gang.
For a full month, dad has been working on getting the rogue avengers back along with getting them a place to stay. They will be in the tower, just no longer the same floor as us where they were originally.
I was glad that dad was taking steps to ensure that they wouldn't be too close, but he would still have to interact with them. Training, planning, fighting, the government wanted to go back to how it was before.
After all Captain America can do no wrong.
I'm pretty sure the bots, Friday, and Ghost are all coming up with ways they can get back, the more murderous ones being put on hold by both Pepper and Tony. Surprisingly Uncle Rhodey was also out for blood, I've seen him counting and cleaning his guns, even giving one to U in case he needed it.
Between Uncle Rhodey, Loki, and I, I think the bots have more than enough ammo. While I didn't give weapons per say, but I did give lots of prank products and taught them how to use them.
The second problem, was not a problem per say just an annoyance. Recently the media seemed to have gotten pictures of me, both muggle and magical. It was when I was more relaxed and forgotten to hide myself behind spells.
The muggle jumping from bizarre stories of me being Tony's mistress, something we both laughed at, or being a new avenger, something that would never happen. Nope I am completely done with fighting and war.
Now since the magical world knew where I was, many tried to come meet me. It was so much so that Loki had to ward the tower so they couldn't pop in suddenly. That didn't stop them from trying to meet me outside of the tower.
Dad, Pepper, and Uncle Happy taught me many tricks to leave the house unnoticed without using magic. Peter helped to sneak me out too, spending the day just eating some fast food.
The main downside was now everyone in England knew where I was. It was going to happen eventually but I really hoped to have more time. No doubt Ron and Hermione and all those others that wanted money would come to see me.
Not that I will meet them.
"Hey Petal, how you doing?" Dad asked poking his head into my studio.
"I'm fine dad. When do you think the nagger and his gang will be here?" I asked motioning dad to take a seat.
"A week, they'll be here a week. Apparently, they want to wait to see if Barnes triggers are removed 100%"
"How do you feel about him? I know you don't like Steve, for good reason. But what about him?"
"I don't blame him for killing my parents. As for how I feel about him, I can't really say. I don't know the guy; I'll give him the same warning I gave Loki and make my decision on him later on"
"How's Clint's wife feel about all this?" I asked knowing that the poor woman must be very overwhelmed.
It was through Laura that we learned the Clint really didn't know what was happening. Clint went because he owed the Captain, leaving his family behind a fact that Laura was furious about. She seemed to take days where she wanted to kill Clint or other days where Steve was the target of her anger.
"She's out for Steve's blood and I'm pretty sure Clint will be in the dog house for a while" I smiled, that sounded exactly like the feisty woman I got to know.
"I'd like to see that to be honest"
"Enough of the serious talk, who is the forest painting for?" Dad asked pointing at the painting I was currently working on.
"Harley, I asked him what he wanted, said he didn't know a tree" I laughed out, "the poor guy was so confused, I thought it might be funny if I made a forest"
"The mountains are a good touch too, which runes do you have on this one?" Dad knew that I always had runes placed especially for family.
"I've been dabbling in the old Norse runes, or Viking runes, all Loki's influence" dad smiled at that, "I have the Wunjo, Algiz, and Dagaz runes on this one"
Putting runes on my paintings was a fairly difficult process at first. I wasn't used to using my magic as invisible ink and it was very draining. Now it feels much easier, and I don't drain as fast.
"Wunjo the rune for joy, Algiz is protection, and Dagaz is the god Ing"
"You almost got them all right dad, Dagaz is the day rune it represents good energy, hope, light, I'm impressed" Dad has been learning magic from my old school books and Loki, so that he could understand Loki and I when we talk about it.
"Personally, I think boss could do better" Friday piped up, "we did go over Norse runes just last night"
"Friday, baby girl, you really know how to deflate a man's ego" dad moaned dramatically.
"Someone has to do it boss, Happy says if I don't your head may get too big to enter the room" I laughed at Fridays response, knowing that she knows that it wasn't true yet still antagonizes dad.
"Fine, fine, I see I'm not wanted here. I'll just go see if Loki wants my company" Dad huffed out smiling as he left the room.
Before I could go back to painting my phone rang blasting so loud that it made my heart jolt.
"Uncle Lucius is calling" Ghost politely informed, "Shall I answer it?" One of the many uses of the AI; I didn't have to worry about getting paint all over my phone.
"Yes, please Ghost. On speaker" I answered that way I could continue painting.
"Hello little flower, how are you?" Uncle Lucius asked.
"I'm good, I was just painting, what are you up to?"
"Well, I just got off the phone with Draco. I was wondering you wouldn't happen to know who Darcy is? Darcy Lewis?"
"She works for dad, is an assistant to Jane Foster. How do you know about her?" I asked curiously, I don't think I've ever mentioned her and I doubt Draco would. The two didn't really seem like they got along, always goading the other.
"I think that Draco may be courting Miss Lewis" if I was drinking something, I definitely would have spat it out.
There was no way the two were courting. They got into way too many arguments to be in a relationship. Sure, Draco does watch her when he is over, and whenever he buys food her favourites are always there. Wait, doesn't he also escort her to her lab, sure its usually done as they argue.
Holy shit. Draco is courting her! He expertly hid it from everyone else by making it seem like they were arguing 100% of the time! That cunning Slytherin, I bet it was his plan too and Darcy just loved being annoying and unpredictable.
"Alright how did you find out when it took me you pointing it out to realize?" Genuinely curious on how I missed that fact while Uncle Lucius did despite not even being in the same country.
"I may have been floo calling Draco when Miss. Lewis came in and kissed Draco. I really want to obliviate myself, there are things a father shouldn't see his son do" Uncle Lucius sounded extremely pained and embarrassed.
"Does she know about magic now?" If the floo was on there is no way she didn't notice or hear Uncle Lucius.
"Draco will be explaining our world to her" he paused for a second taking such a deep breath that I heard it through the phone "Do you think Miss. Lewis will take Draco being magical easily. Especially with how Draco's magic calls out to her?"
So that's what he was worried about.
"Darcy is very good with weird. Magic wouldn't be an issue. I think the fact that her and Draco are soulmates will put her at ease." I was quick to explain. "Any issues that do come up Draco will be able to handle"
"Thank you, little flower, that does settle my worries. I did call you for another reason"
"Oh, what's that?" I hummed.
"Ron has been spreading rumors about you to the press"
"It's not the first time, how is this time any different?" I hesitantly questioned him.
Ever since I killed Voldemort Ron has been spreading rumors about me. Sometimes it would be how I was becoming an alcoholic, or taking drugs. Everything was extreme, but all this time I've been away from the public eye, Ron has been claiming that the Weasley family was taking care of me. Now everyone knew the truth.
"He's spread rumors about how you were pregnant with his child, a child that you aborted in cold blood before going to America and becoming a whore" Uncle Lucius said softly, "The purebloods of course know that isn't the case. Otherwise, your marriage would have been on ministry record and it isn't. it's the Muggleborns and half-bloods are the ones causing issues"
"How so?"
"You know expressing their opinions, condolences to Ron. He seems to be soaking it all up. What are you going to do?"
"Send me my lawyer, I'm going to utterly destroy him" I practically snarled in anger.
"I'll ask Kreature to pop him over"

Dhalia's POV
I was absolutely fuming, how dare that disgrace of an embryo spread such vile lies. I've been far too kind letting him go off easy. Only being on house arrest, and having to pay back what they stole from me, it was a light punishment all things considered. Yet I guess I was too nice, well not anymore.
"Ghost can you tell the chefs to make a light snack and some tea. Get them to deliver in 30 minutes" Hopefully 30 minutes is enough time for the lawyer to get here and settle down. I wouldn't be able to consume anything but not giving a guest food is just not acceptable, Draco would be so proud I remembered despite being so upset.
"It is done. Princess do you wish for me to call anyone? Rhodey, your dad, or anyone else?" he asked sounding concerned.
"Aunt Pepper, can you see if she is free?" out of everyone in the tower Aunt Pepper is the best option. Everyone else would just get mad and start raving on, Aunt Pepper would get work done and be vicious while doing so. I also wanted Draco, but there is no way I'm pulling him away from Darcy right now.
"Pepper is on her way; she'll be here in 2 minutes" Ghost said after a moment.
Two minutes is exactly how long Aunt Pepper took to come rushing through my studio doors. She must have run here from where ever she was, her usually perfect hair was messy from the run, face was flushed and she was slightly panting.
"Are you alright honey? Ghost told me you were troubled" Pepper asked in between pants.
"My lawyer is coming; I didn't want to be alone" I told her after explaining why exactly the lawyer would be coming.
"And you wanted to make sure we completely destroy him; don't worry honey we'll utterly destroy him" Aunt Pepper fiercely promised. "Let's move this meeting in one of the rooms better suited for this" Aunt Pepper said gently, already leading me away.
"I should change my clothes" I say looking down on my paint covered clothes, they were after all my painting clothes. Comfy black sweats, and a navy t-shirt that I didn't mind getting dirty. Believe it or not painting is dirty work no matter how careful you try being.
"Alright, you do that and meet me in the war room," the war room was a floor below our residential floor. Unlike the name will have you think, it is not filled with guns and mass number of weapons. It was just a room with enough room to have very large meetings.
A bit overkill for us today, after all it would only be the three of us, we don't need to use a meeting room meant for 20 people. But whatever works for Pepper, after all no one denies Pepper when she's on a war path.
Changing into a plaid long skirt and a grey bowknot shirt. My clothing wasn't traditional wizarding robes, but the muggle outfit checked all the boxes of appropriateness that the magical folk look for. Modest and it was not to form fitting.
To other muggleborns or muggle raised my preferred outfits may not be in style, they were into more formfitting clothes. I was not used to such clothes and they made me feel uncomfortable, too bare despite being covered. I am almost always in my favoured long maxi skirts and blouses. I love the look, and how beautiful I feel wearing these types of clothes.
I cast a quick charm to get my wavy hair styled better than the messy bun it was in before. Looking to make sure I was presentable enough, in the mirror, I left to get to the war room.
Aunt Pepper was already waiting for me looking back to being put together. She was typing away on her stark pad, mumbling about everything we needed to discuss.
"Aunt Pepper, you remember Kreature right? He will be bringing in my lawyer"
"Last time he came here he utterly scared the shit out of me" Pepper said smile creeping onto her face.
"You and everyone else. I would have warned you if I knew he was going to come during breakfast"
"Your dad screamed so loud; I sometimes have Friday play the clip so I can have a good laugh when I'm a bit too stressed about work" Pepper admitted not at all looking guilty.
"I'm pretty sure I saw Uncle Rhodey do the same" truthfully even I looked at the clip a couple of times. Everyone's reaction was just way too funny, of course at the time I was mortified. Uncle Rhodey had grabbed his gun, Thor fell off his chair, Darcy spilled her breakfast all over herself. I think the only ones unaffected were Jane and Loki, Jane as she was half-asleep and Loki because he was used to it.
"When will they be coming?" Just as she finished speaking a pop sound occurred as Kreature and my two lawyers magically appeared.
Even though it must have been very late in England, the two were as always dressed to perfection in their robes. You wouldn't think they had rushed to get ready.
"Hello I assume you both are Dahlia's lawyers; I'm Pepper Pots her aunt" she said sticking a hand out to shake before I could stop her. Thankfully my lawyers weren't rude about her faux pas and shook her hand albeit a bit hesitantly.
"Blair Owlet, a pleasure to meet you my lady" the older of the two, spoke bowing his head slightly in respect after shaking her hand. Blair Owlet, the first time I met him I almost hexed him. Not only did he just have an 'I will destroy you' persona going on, but with his beady blue eyes watching you so carefully along with his height and build, that rivals Thor, it's safe to say he is intimidating. Just the way I would want my lawyer to be.
"Rubin Elks, pleasure my lady" the raven-haired man introduced himself. Unlike Blair, Rubin didn't grow out his curly hair, and had a much bubblier personality, a Hufflepuff through and through. He puts you at ease with his non-threatening looks and lean body structure before completely destroying your world. Hufflepuffs are scary when determined.
"I did a social faux pas didn't I?" Aunt Pepper asked once they were introduced.
Sheepishly smiling I nodded my head. "I should have told you beforehand, sorry Aunt Pepper"
Placing my dominant hand over my heart I gave a slight incline of my head. "It's a pleasure to meet you Mister Owlet" doing the same for Mister Elks.
"Well met, Lady Potter-Black" They both had their hands above their hearts and gave a slight bow.
"Please, sit down. I have tea being brought in" I said motioning for them to take their seats.
"Now gentleman, I must apologize from calling you at such short notice," I softly apologized. "I just learnt of the recent utter nonsense that Ronald has been sharing and have decided I cannot remain silent any longer"
"You finally want to destroy him?" Rubin asked sounding relieved.
"Yes, first I want to charge him with slander" aunt Pepper tapped my knee to signal she wanted to speak.
"I think Dahlia, that you should also call someone from your magical paparazzi. Someone you trust. Have one of your lawyers with you"
"Why would we do that?" I asked confused.
"You can tell them your side of the story. Ron is claiming that you have a child with him right. Yet you aren't married, that right there just proves that Ron's a dirty rapist and he himself admitted to it to the world"
"But the problem is that Half-bloods and muggleborns don't believe that unless they follow the true ways. There are few of them"
"It does spread doubt, someone is bound to research. From then on, we can slowly work on ruining Ron's image by giving stories"
"You lady Pepper have the mind of a pureblood. I'm must apologize for thinking you would be of no use during this meeting" Blair spoke, Pepper didn't say anything and just viciously smiled at the brunette man.
There was a knock on the door and once aunt Pepper gave permission one of the chefs entered pushing a cart. He quickly poured us tea, placing the delicate looking cakes onto the large table before making his escape.
"Gentleman, please enjoy your tea" I said taking a sip from my cup before taking a small bite out of the vanilla cake, Aunt Pepper following my lead. This was one rule Aunt Pepper knew after watching Draco, Loki, Thor and I for a long time. The males won't start to eat before the females, so it was polite to start as soon as you can.
"We can always get Luna to write in the Quibbler. I'm sure she can also point out a few trustworthy reporters" I mused aloud. The only reporter I personally knew was Skeeter. As cruel as she can be, she is loyal if you fill her pockets enough, I have money but in no way am I going to her for anything
Carefully resting my tea cup on the table. I will not be drinking any more of that hot flavoured water, nasty thing. Why British folk like it so much? I'll never know.
"Heiress Lovegood would be a good option would you like us to contact her for you?" Rubin asked writing down all out ideas into his notebook.
"I'll call her myself. I want to do this as quick as possible, in two days would one of you be free to observe the meeting?" two days would give me plenty of time to get in contact and arrange a meeting.
"Rubin will come while I work on placing charges on Ronald. I'll pile up any charges I can along with slander"
"Blair, you can't falsify evidence" I so wanted to rub the bridge of my nose.
"There is no false evidence, Lady Potter-Black. Lately Ronald has been drinking excessively, causing bar fight, damage of property. It gets hushed up, his father being a ministry worker, but they are all legitimate charges" Blair informed innocently.
"Let me guess, you convinced Kreature to buy them for me, so therefore they are my property he's attacking" I asked narrowing my eyes at the older man, not at all believing his innocent act.
"Lord Malfoy bought them for you as a gift" Rubin piped up.
What will I do with these men?
"I think that is all for today. Keep me updated" I said after 30 more minutes of discussing, I didn't want to keep them any longer.
"You did wonderfully" aunt Pepper praised once the two men were gone.
"Thanks, I'm so tired" it was an emotional whirlpool.
"As a treat, why don't we eat some chocolate cake" Aunt Pepper said already leading me away.
That's where dad and Loki found us not even ten minutes later, stuffing our faces with chocolate cake.
"Why did you have two wizards come pop in? Loki almost came in knives out and all. I was going to join him until Friday told us that they were friendlies" Dad said as he stole my fork and took a bite of my cake. "Loki try this! You'll love it!" he exclaimed feeding Loki a bite.
Letting Aunt Pepper explain why we held a meeting I summoned another fork to continue eating. Winking at Loki when I caught his eye.
"Darling, your dad is going to be on a warpath now" He said coming and sitting beside me.
"As if you don't know how to distract dad" I shot back shuddering as I remembered the time, they forgot to put up silencing spells.
"Are you sure I can't just go and stab the idiot?" Loki sighed dramatically.
"I'm sure, we are going to do this legally. Let's leave stabbing as plan 13"

Dahlia's POV
"Peter! You've been stuck in the lab for ages!" I whined lightly poking him on the shoulder repetitively.
"It hasn't been that long Lia," Peter laughed out in denial but already started saving and putting his research away.
Peter has been working hard to make webs strong enough that a super soldier would not be able to break free easily, obviously we didn't tell dad. I also may have infused that particular web fluid with an itching potion, whoever it gets used on will suffer.
"4 hours, centuries same thing. You need sunlight and air! Let's go out" plus I really wanted to go out, and Peter is the best person to go out with.
"You are in a very good mood, especially since you willingly want to go out" He paused his packing to look at me seriously, "Sunlight? Air? What am I a plant?" he teasingly asked.
"I am in a good mood, the meeting with the reporter was great! I really want to go out and celebrate!" I ignored his question.
Not only was I ecstatic on seeing Luna again, Rivers the other reporter was a very kind man. The both of them slowly let me talk at my own pace, which I appreciated. Talking about trauma no matter how long and how well adjusted you are can still sometimes be very hard. I was expecting myself to be a bawling mess by the end of the meeting, yet it went so perfectly that I was overyjoyed.
"Who else is coming?" Peter asked grabbing his backpack.
"Darcy and Draco" I laughed at the face Peter pulled. I admit as much as I love spending time with them, the two together can sometimes be a handful. "Don't be like that, they promised to behave"
"We'll see" yeah, I didn't think they would behave either, they loved bickering way too much for that.
Darcy and Draco were both waiting for us downstairs in the lobby of the tower. Both were dressed warmly; the cool weather hasn't quite left us yet despite it being spring. I couldn't wait for summer to come, not only would I be able to wear my skirts without leggings underneath but I'll finally meet Harley.
"Are you guys ready to leave?" I asked the couple.
"Yeah, do your magic invisibility thing you lot do and then we can sneak out from one of the side doors" Darcy said waving her fingers to show off her non-existent magic.
"You pretend like you don't know what the spell is called. But fine I'll do the magic invisible thing" Draco rolled his eyes before wandlessly casting the spell on all four of us.
Darcy, at her own instance, has been learning everything magical from both Draco and I. At first, we were hesitant. Until she pointed out that she wanted to learn to recognize which spell is cast if an unfriendly magical cast on us. After hearing that reasoning all arguments flew out the window, after all knowledge is power.
"What are we doing today?" Darcy asked leading us to the exit.
"I was thinking of getting some food and having a picnic at central park" I never went on a picnic before and it seems fun.
"Let's get burritos, I know a good place!" At this point I don't think there is something Darcy doesn't know. I'm fairly sure it's because she isn't hesitant to try new things, she always has such amazing recommendations.
"Lead the way love" Draco kissed Darcy's forehead before grabbing her hand.
Finding a spot to sit down and eat was a bit difficult, many people were out despite the chilly weather. We were also out, but couldn't everyone else just stay in today? I voiced out my complaint.
"Your anti-socialness is showing," Darcy teased.
"It's not my fault I hate crowds" I pouted. "I always end up getting pushed around, and then it takes me forever to get where I need to"
"You are a lost cause for the New York crowd" Peter laughed clutching his side. On more than one occasion Peter has had to fish me out of the crowd and back on to track. I always end up going in a direction that I wasn't supposed to while in a large crowd.
"Oh, hush you," I threw a bean from my burrito at him, which he easily caught in his mouth.
"Dahlia, don't play with your food" Draco chided immediately.
"Wow, I never thought I would be with someone who says that without being a dad" Darcy piped up.
"You love me anyways"
"That I do blondie, that I do" Darcy fished out her phone from her pocket before showing me the screen.
It was a picture of a beautiful green ball gown. Confused at why I she suddenly showed me a dress I looked at Darcy questioningly.
"Draco is going to take me to a ball, that's the dress I'm going to wear" She clarified, "I needed a second opinion. Draco wasn't much help. All he wanted was me to wear green"
"Which ball?" I asked even more confused.
"The midsummer Ball father hosts, I told Darcy about it and she insists to be prepared right now despite it being months away" Draco told me.
"It will be my first appearance in your world and I don't want to fuck up" Darcy stated simply.
"Maybe I'll also come this year. Show me the dress again" I demanded so I could look at the dress in more detail. The dress was a mint green colour, had what seemed like tulle puff sleeves, it was absolutely gorgeous.
"The dress is beautiful; it would look beautiful on you. But if you also want to, I can take you to a tailor so you can try on some with me to a wizarding tailor so you can try on some of those too and see which one you like best"
"You'd do that for me? Of course, I'll go!" Darcy leaned in and wrapped her arms around me.
"We'll make a date out of it, no boys allowed" I hugged her back winking at Draco over her shoulder.
It was nice to just have a day like this to spend outside. Good things though never last forever. Draco spotted a reporter coming towards us and immediately we were gathering our trash and getting up to leave.
"Don't say anything, keep walking find a place without anyone and we'll apparate. I'll take Darcy you'll take Peter"
"Split up? Meet you at the tower" I said already grabbing onto Peter's hand.
"Dahlia! Are you dating woman now?" I random man asked after taking our picture. "Are you dating all three of the people here? What would your parents be thinking?"
"Peter you know the area better, lead us to a secluded spot where I can use magic to take us home" I whispered into his ear.
"Well, I guess we're ending the day with a game of tag" Peter laughed before he quickly had us weaving through the crowd.
We made it back to the tower before Darcy and Draco, startling Uncle Rhodey when we suddenly popped on top of the couch.

Dahlia's POV
I eyed the coffee place in front of me dubiously. There was no way, shape, or form anyone could force me to drink that. If I was going to be drinking anything coffee related, it would be a caramel Frappuccino or nothing at all. Better yet get me a smoothie.
"Come on stop being a baby, try a sip I tried not making it too bitter" Dad pleaded, but it wasn't reassuring considering he drank his coffee black.
For some reason dad wanted me to like coffee, father daughter bonding he said. As if we don't spend time in the lab or studio together, along with meal times.
"Why is the so important to you?" I asked taking a hesitant sip of the hot beverage.
"Adam down in Research and Development said he and his daughter always share a coffee before a work day. It seemed like a fatherly thing to do" Dad informed me.
"You do know that we eat every meal together. We also spend time in the lab and my studio together, we don't need to copy other people's traditions. We have our own" I still took another slow sip, not wanting to completely ruin what dad wanted to do.
"Oh yeah, like what?" dad challenged looking very interested in knowing the answer.
"Every day we spend an hour time in your lab after having breakfast together. I usually end up leaving to spend time in the studio, you show up two hours later to talk and then we go down and have lunch together. After lunch you make a round in the tower, which I join you at times," I listed on before stopping. "We may not be identical to how others are but it works for us doesn't it?"
"Yeah, it does"
"And if you ever want a coffee date, I prefer cold drinks to hot. A caramel Frappuccino would be the best if I have to drink coffee" I pushed away the steaming mug of coffee. "Now this is unlike you, why are you so stressed?"
"He's worried about our new guests that will be coming tomorrow" Uncle Rhodey piped up from his spot of the table. Up until this point he was a silent spectator.
"I am not!" Dad denied immediately.
"It's alright to admit that your worried dad. To be honest you should be worried"
"Dahlia we are trying to calm him down are we not?" Uncle Rhodey nervously cut me off, shooting me an exasperated look.
"Dad you have" I paused counting on my fingers, "6 no 7 kids that are working their asses off. I won't share all our plans, but you might want to try finding all your hammers the bots took the past two weeks"
"That's where they went! Wait what do you mean you have plans? What plans? Don't tell me you've been plotting with Loki!" Dad asked horrified. I wasn't planning with Loki, but now I bet all seven us will be including him in our plans.
"Dad relax, trust us. What could possibly go wrong?" I mockingly say, "The bots would probably give that disgrace of an embryo a migraine at the most"
"Disgrace of an Embryo? Are you talking about Steve?" Uncle Rhodey laughed hysterically "Oh I need you to say that to his face"
"No!" Dad adamantly screamed out, "You will not antagonize that…that fucking bitch. I don't want you anywhere near him, especially alone" Dads eyes were blown wide in his panic.
"Calm down dad, if that's what you want, I won't go near him. Not that I want to" I spoke softly trying to calm down the panicking man.
"Promise me, promise me you won't be anywhere alone with him"
"I promise dad, I won't purposely try to get the man alone" I immediately promised.
Dad slumped back into his chair, letting out a long sigh as he rubbed his face. I didn't fault him on the way he reacted. After all the last time he was alone with the man he was left to die. That didn't mean though I couldn't find a loophole in the promise without telling dad.
"How about we not worry about all that today. No use wasting our day" I soothingly told dad. "Friday why don't you bring Loki down? Why don't we go out? You, me, and Loki?"
"Go out where?" dad asked looking up.
"I don't know, how about the aquarium?" I asked, I've never been to an aquarium before.
"Loki doesn't like looking at the fishes, took him once and he wasn't having it" dad informed me gently.
"Well, we can always go to a bookstore, I can always get another book. I was also wanting to buy another canvas, and I ran out of blue paint. We can make today I shopping day"
"That's a delightful idea," turning around in my chair to smile at Loki.
Loki came and gave me a kiss on the forehead and then stalked towards dad kissing him soundly on the mouth.
"Stop worrying love, let's take a day for just us and Dahlia" Loki said once he pulled away from dad.
Our first stop off the day was to the bookstore. Personally, I didn't know any good bookstore to go to nor did dad and Loki. Dad ended up asking Friday, and we ended up going to one called Three Lives & Company. Loki was pulling both Dad and I along excitedly showing us books that caught his eye.
"Petal, you should get this book" Dad said holding up a recipe book. "We can try making dinner together!"
"You Tony, have never cooked in your life" Loki bopped dad's nose with his finger.
"I can learn for Petal. How hard could it be? I used to make weapons for a living, cooking should be easy!"
"We will see love" Loki said smiling fondly at dad.
"Buy it, but I also want this one" I held up Painting for Dumb Fucks, the title had me giggling and I immediately wanted it. I may learn something new and if not, well hopefully it is still funny to read.
By the time we left the bookstore, Loki had bought 6 books, I got 3 and dad found 4. Loki magicked the books straight to our rooms so we wouldn't have to lug them around for the rest of the day. The trip to get my art supplies went quicker, I had to just grab some paint, and ended up getting 2 more canvas's.
"How about we get some pizza? I know a good place" Dad was already happily leading the way.
"I'm tired dad, I'm just going to pop back to the tower. I also have a lot of paperwork Kreature sent that needs to be looked over. You can have some Loki time" I said smiling at the grateful look Loki gave.
Lately it has been rare for Loki and dad to be able to go out on a date alone. Me leaving would be a treat to both of them no doubt about it. I also really did have paperwork to do. I had to approve some renovations that is happening on a store I own, look at all the concerns that the tenants might have this month, along with a billion other things that need my attention.
Dad didn't even argue he agreed immediately kissing me on the cheek before he ordered, "Pop straight home, and make sure you eat something, no jumping straight into work"
"Sure, dad I'll do just that. Bring me some donuts when you come back!" I agreed kissing both Dad and Loki on the cheeks before apparating away.
When I popped into the tower Friday informed me that there was a meeting happening in the war room.
"Alright, what are we plotting?" I asked not even panting from my run here.
At the huge table in the room, Happy, Aunt Pepper, Uncle Rhodey, Peter, Thor, Jane, Darcy, Draco and surprisingly the head of Research and Development.
"Hello Adam, nice to see you again" I said to the head of R . Adam and dad have been friends since before I came to the tower. It wasn't too much of a shock that they were friends, dad goes down to R often he was bound to make friends. What was shocking was seeing him here.
"Hey Dahlia," The bearded man said happily waving his fingers in my direction "Were planning misheif"
"R is getting involved?" I asked amused sitting down in the chair Thor pulled out for me.
"Yup, so far all of us are on board, I'm sure we can convince the other departments to join in" Adam proudly said, "Not that it would be hard, everyone loves Tony"
"He says convince, yet not two minutes ago he was talking about blackmail-"
"Hey, hey not in front of the princess!" Adam cut Draco off. "It's not blackmail!" he added on in the end.
"Sure, then let's call it pressuring"
"What are you planning on doing?" I asked before they could start to argue.
"Staring, do you know how creepy it would be if each time Captain Asshole decides to go somewhere that everyone just stops and stares until he leaves? It would be amazing!" Adam laughed.
"He's also conveniently forgetting to tell you he's talked Friday into shocking Steve whenever he is in the elevator" Rhodey added in.
"Rhodes, I thought you would be on my side!" Adam whined, whined the big muscular man with a Viking beard whined like a toddler!
It took everything in me not to laugh, Darcy didn't care as she burst out in loud hysterical laughter. Darcy laughing set everyone else off and soon we were all chuckling.
"Alright, we needed that laugh" Adam said chuckling softly, "So I'll forgive you for laughing this time"

Bucky's POV
As soon as we had landed on American land, we were all separated into separate rooms where a stack of documents was waiting to be signed. It was the Sokovia Accords, I've heard enough from Steve how horrible these documents were. Yet Natasha said the opposite, the accords were needed to stop those that think they are above the law. Now I had the documents in front of me and can decide for myself how I feel about it.
It had taken me 2 hours to get through the entirety of the stack. There were some places in the documents that I felt a bit hesitant on. Like having to register mutants, it surely couldn't be safe to register everyone. The more I thought about it the more it seemed alright though, we no longer lived in the 40's where not everything was recorded. In this time period nothing really is a secret, especially for an average person.
The part Steve had hated the most was where the avengers weren't allowed to cross borders without the country's approval. Which I don't know why he was pulling such big fits about; it was the same in the military.
Not that Steve ever followed those rules, always was one to charge first and ask questions later. It worked sometimes like when he saved me back during the war, other times it was me that had to save him at the back of an alley.
I signed the document after reading it without hesitation. I knew the others would have done the same. Scott, it pains me to know he's been separated from his family because of me, he's been wanting a chance to get back since the very first day. Clint was in the same boat, both of them didn't know what they were getting into, no doubt he signed it as soon as he could. Sam would have signed it too after reading, although I can't be too sure, sometimes I don't know if he sees for himself or just does what Steve wants every time.
Is he an example of extreme hero worship?
Knowing Steve, he would sign the papers, but ignore them as soon as he possible could.
We weren't in isolation long, a week, it could have been much worse. We got questioned but also were fed three meals. At the end of the week, we were finally transported to where I assume, we would be staying.
The car ride was the first time I saw the others. Well, everyone but Scott, he worked out a deal so he could go back to his family.
"I told you guys we'd be home in no time" Steve joyfully said, ignorant of the growing tension in the car.
"Yeah, does it matter though, no one would tell me shit about where my family is" Clint growled out in anger.
"We'll find them, I'm sure they're safe. Tony will help" Steve confidently said, although I had my doubts.
The others didn't see, and Steve would never tell them, but from what I remember through the haze of pain we left a beaten man in a cold Hydra bunker. I doubt he would do anything for us willingly, especially me. I'm sure he was forced to take us in too.
I'm just glad he didn't try to kick me out, just got to keep my head down now.
"Alright Buck, there will be many people in the lobby but don't worry, no one will stare or approach us" I rolled my eyes at my blond friend, at times it felt as if he wanted me to be extremely fragile and broken so he could put me back together again.
"he makes you feel like a tiny baby, doesn't he?" Natasha asked in Russian.
"More so every day, it's really annoying" I grumbled back.
"I thought we talked about this, no Russian. English only we don't want to make Bucky remember that place" Steve chided.
Remaining silent despite my aggravation I followed everyone else into the tower. Literally the moment we entered everyone, and I mean everyone stopped and stared. They didn't even look away when we walked by, I could feel them staring.
"This isn't a good prank, what was Tony thinking?" I heard Steve whisper to Sam.
My fingers were itching to grab my no-existent knives, we were thoroughly searched and stripped of weapons the moment we landed. Sure, I could kill with no weapons and that's the only thing that gave me a small amount of solace from all the stares.
"I'm sorry but you're going to have to wait here until boss comes down to take you to your floor" A security officer said holding out his hand to stop our group.
"We know which floors were ours" Steve reprimanded the man.
"They've changed them, now you'll just have to wait, won't you?" The guard snapped back.
"Look I don't know why Tony is doing this, or what he's told you, but remember there is always two sides to a story" Steve pinching the bridge of his nose.
I sighed quietly, here we go again, it's like he forgets what happened that day, and whenever I try saying anything, he guilts me. 'I did that for you, Buck' or 'that was all to save you' I have enough blood on my hands as it is, and sometimes it felt like more kept being added.
"Alright, sorry to keep you waiting!" Tony said loudly, rubbing his hands together in a clear sign of nervousness. "Everyone but Clint is on the 68th floor, Clint you're on the 65th"
That deceleration brought forth another argument which I paid no attention to. No, my sole focus was on the petite woman that came out of the elevator with Tony. I've seen her many times before on the news outlets, only because I wanted to see how Tony was doing. She was always connected to him in some way, some said she was Tony's girlfriend, mistress, sister, daughter, there were countless theories.
Just like when I first saw her picture, I couldn't look away. Something in her just called out to me and I don't know what it was. Maybe it's how innocent she looks, with her white full sleeved turtleneck shirt along with an ankle length brown skirt. Her wavy hair, was longer than the last picture I saw reaching her waist.
She didn't really call attention to herself, trying to stay behind Tony and the raven-haired man that was also there, but she had all my attention.
As if feeling me looking at her, she peered around tony and looked me straight into my eyes. Green meeting blue, a small flush spreading rapidly on her face before she ducked back behind Tony. Flushed face she turned to the lean man whispering. I couldn't hear anything except for his name, Loki, and after he nodded, she ran back to the elevator and was out of my sights.
I wanted to follow her, hold her, but I scared her. Why else would she run? Something in me wanted to chase after her, and tell her I wanted to get to know her, take her out on a date. I had to force myself to stay in place.
I made eye contact with Loki, and as if knowing what I was going through he gave a sinister smirk before winking.
That can't possibly be anything good.

Dahlia's POV
I ran, like a coward.
I should have stayed, I was supposed to stay, to help ensure that Wanda's magic weakening bracelet was working fine. Not that I didn't trust Doctor Strange, but the American magical ministry wanted to make sure that she wouldn't be on the loose.
That went straight out the window when I looked into the blue eyes of James Buchanan Barnes. When I looked into his eyes, it was like everything in me was calling out to him. My mind, magic, soul, everything wanted me to just go and wrap my arms around him.
It took every ounce of will power to turn away and run. It's not that I was afraid, or didn't accept the bond, but I didn't want to do anything without talking to dad first.
This was the man that was the cause of my grandparent's death, even if it was unwilling. He was also the one that fought dad, with Steve.
"Ghost, can you tell dad to come see me once he's done?" I asked making a mad dash to my room. It was a good thing that no one else was on our floor, everyone was waiting to meet Steve and the rest on their floor.
"Little Boss, do you want me to send anyone else?" Friday asked.
"Just the bots please," I didn't want to be alone, but also didn't want anyone else with me expect for dad.
An hour later dad and Loki both entered my room laughing, no doubt at the antics of the others and the reaction that our guests had seeing where they would be staying.
There rooms weren't top notch, everything dad could buy he'll get you. They had their essentials, but if they wanted anything more, they would have to buy it themselves. Not to mention they will be required to pay for anything they broke or needed.
"Hey petal, you did a runner. Want to tell me what happened? Your mother refused to tell me" Dad said slumping down in the bed beside me.
"Bucky is my soulmate" I decided to just say it out right, like ripping off a band aid.
"Yeah, kinda figured that one out kiddo" Dad huffed out.
"You aren't mad?"
"Nah, he was like Loki right. Being controlled. Just longer. I've made my piece with him"
"You don't care that he's Steve's best friend?" I asked shocked.
"That's the funny thing. I don't think he considers Steve his best friend. You should have seen it. The three assassins weren't having the bullshit that man was sprouting"
I was tempted to watch the footage myself, if only to look at Bucky, but that would be considered creepy wouldn't it?
"So, you're alright with the whole soulmate thing?" I confirmed.
"Sure, there will be rules put in place, I want Friday and Ghost to be monitoring while you're with him, just so I know the type of guy he is"
"Oh, I don't think you have to worry about that" Loki softly cut in, "All that man could think of was wanting to be close to our daughter. Protect and cherish her. He thought she was afraid and ran away"
"Loki! We still need to supervise. At least for a month" Dad complained.
"Darling you know how the pull behind the magic works, 2 weeks" Loki bargained.
I silently watched them go back and forth trying to change the time of surveillance, I would be more concerned but I knew both Friday and Ghost will listen to me if I say I want some privacy.
"Alright 2 weeks and 2 days" Dad firmly said.
I waited until the next day to actually meet the man that is my soulmate. I would have gone yesterday, right after dad decided but Friday informed me that everyone on Steve's floor were arguing and I did not want to get in between that.
Clint on the other hand was away from the fight, getting reacquainted with his family on their floor. Word in the tower is that Laura threatened to divorce him if he does something stupid like that again. Although something tells me he didn't get off as easy as it seems.
"Dahlia, what are you doing down here?" the very pregnant receptionist asked.
The world may not know I'm Tony's daughter, but a lot of people at the tower do. They were good employees too, loyal, wouldn't go and tell the tabloids anything.
"Hey Sarah, I'm waiting to meet someone. We're going to be going out" I told her softly.
"how's your dad doing?" Sarah asked as she fumbled around with her papers.
"Loki's keeping him grounded. Last I saw they were up with R brainstorming world domination" I informed the concerned woman. I knew by the end of the day everyone will be filled in.
Thankfully I was saved from further conversation by Bucky himself coming out of the elevator. As Friday directed, he went to the side exit I usually use to leave the Tower.
"I got to leave Sarah; I'll talk to you longer tomorrow" I promised waving goodbye before quickly catching up with the super soldier.
I was both excited and nervous to meet him. I knew I'd have to get to know him first and then slowly introduce the idea of magic. Unlike Loki and Draco, I don't think my soulmate would take magic as easily as their soulmates did. Dad and Darcy were used to the unexpected happening, from aliens, gods, a magical daughter, soulmates would just be another thing that they took with grace.
Who knows, maybe he'll surprise me? Afterall his best friend did experimentally become all beefy.
"You know doll, I was thinking I'd have to work hard to get your attention" Bucky softly said the moment I got close.
"Who said you wouldn't have to work hard?" I tilted my head up slightly to look in his blue eyes.
Bucky smiled, his whole face brightening and he held out his hand, "Shall I try to woo you then doll?"

Bucky's POV
I didn't know what to expect when the AI told me to go downstairs by the side exit without anyone knowing. I thought that maybe they were kicking me out, or even taking me to jail. Never in my wildest dreams did I think Dahlia would be the one calling me, but she did.
We walked aimlessly hand in hand, talking about nothing yet everything. I've learnt that Dahlia loves painting and makes a living out of it. She loves to cook, but hates cleaning up afterwards, her favorite colour is blue. She's Tony's daughter, and surprisingly the man was alright with me being with his daughter.
That's the stuff she's told me at least.
I noticed she didn't like crowds, men especially, so I made sure to walk between her and everyone else. Making sure no one bumped into her, I didn't want her feeling uncomfortable. She avoided talks about her life in England giving vague answers, after a while I stopped asking. One day she'll trust me enough to tell me.
"Call me James, doll," I told her, "I miss being called James. Now people either call me Bucky or Buck"
"Who gives a nickname to a nickname?" She scrunched up her face in confusion.
"Steve" was my one worded answer.
"I know he's your best friend, but I don't like him" she honestly told me fiddling with her sweater sleeve nervously.
"Steve was my best friend. I am grateful for everything he's done for me; I'd be in jail or dead if it wasn't for him. But he's stuck in the past, or his version of the past. Sometimes I don't like him either"
"Is that why there was a fight yesterday?" she asked.
"You heard about that?" I asked shocked.
"Dad told me you guys were fighting but not what it was about" she admitted shuffling nervously without looking at me.
"Steve, didn't like how the rooms were set up. I on the other hand along with Natasha and Clint understood that Tony wouldn't buy us everything. Apparently, he did that before" I sighed in frustration, it's not like the man would buy us things, especially after everything.
"There's more to it than that isn't there?" Dahlia asked pushing a strand of her wavy hair out of her face.
"Steve insisted I either share a room, or have the one right beside his" I admitted, "He's very overbearing"
"the more I hear about Steve, the less I'm liking him" I don't think she realized she was pouting adorably.
"How about we stop talking about Steve" I pulled her closer, "And let's go get some food, I'm starving!"
I held the door of a small cafe open for her to enter. It was a cozy coffee shop, and I wanted nothing more than a hot latte. Surprisingly Dahlia didn't order coffee or tea as I expected her to, instead she got a mocha iced latte. She had sheepishly admitted that she didn't really like either coffee or tea. I immediately had offered to go eat somewhere else but she had smiled and said that she wanted to try some of their muffins.
After eating at a small café, we had to go back to the tower. I didn't want to part with her and tried my best to stall longer by walking slower. From her amused glances she knew what I was doing but didn't say anything about it.
"Where were you Buck?" Steve asked the moment I stepped onto our floor.
Face a careful mask of emotionless I curtly replied, "Out"
"You can't leave without telling anyone buck, I know-"I ignored his nagging and headed straight to my room.
Locking the door so Steve couldn't get inside, I laid down on my bed thinking of the day I just had. Hopefully we can meet again soon.
Dahlia's POV
"How was your little date?" Loki asked the moment I entered my room.
Dad and Loki were both sitting on the foot of my bed waiting to ambush me for information.
"it was great, and I'm not saying any more detail on that" I told mum grabbing my cloak and bag.
"Where are you going now?" Dad asked curiously.
"I have a meeting at Gringotts with the goblins. I'll be back by dinner" I told them both.
"Want one of us to go with you?"
"What's the meeting about?" Mum asked at the same time as dad.
"I'm fine going alone with just Ghost. The meetings for a property I have. It was in utter shambles and I need to do an inspection of how the repairs are going" I told them both.
I was planning on selling the house once everything was up to date. It wasn't a ancestral home, more of a vacation house with nothing of real worth that lasted the years of vacancy.
"Stay safe! I asked for Korean for dinner so don't be late!" Dad said as he followed me to the fire place.
I was so thankful we had gotten the floo set up here at the Tower. I would have to go to Draco's first, as I didn't get international floo travel linked up with our house and Draco does.
"I'll see you at dinner" I said stepping into the fireplace.

Dahlia's POV
I was at Gringotts bright and early England time. The few people that came in looked so sleepy that it was funny that I've already had a date this morning. With cheerful steps I made my way to the teller, thankfully I was early enough to be missing the usual rush of wizards.
"I have a meeting set up with Griphook" I told the teller dipping my head to show respect to the goblin.
"Yes, Lady Potter-Black, if you will follow Sharpstone he will lead you to the office" the goblin motioned at Sharptone who was waiting by a corridor.
Once again, I nodded in respect before, I followed Sharpstone. We walked in silence; the goblins weren't one for idle chatter with us wizarding folk.
My bank manager has been Griphook ever since we got rid of my previous one. My original manager was the one that made sure that no one, not even myself, would find about all the money I was losing to others.
"Good Morning Griphook, I've personally brought some of the signed papers" I greeted fishing out the papers from my handbag on putting it on his desk.
I swear sometimes I feel like the paper work will kill me, there was just so many businesses and workers to keep track of. Although it was much better from a year ago, everything was all messed up with no one taking care of it.
It took an hour to actually get all of my bank business done, which included going over with a Gringotts employee to check over the repaired property. Gringotts really did a good job renovating the cabin, it actually looked like a home instead of a jungle. The inside was completely torn apart and replaced with new flooring, painting, cabinets. There is no doubt I would find a willing buyer.
Once I was done with bank business, I visited Teddy and Andromeda it has been so long since I saw them.
"Teddy!" I exclaimed happily opening my arms so the toddler can run into them.
"Da!" the small toddler exclaimed running into my open arms. Hair changing from blue to wavy brown matching my own.
"Hey buddy, I missed you" I kissed his forehead.
"Miss you" the almost two year old repeated.
"It's lovely to see you again, Andromeda" I said kissing the elderly woman on her cheek.
Andromeda looked older than she actually was, considering she lost her soulmate and then her daughter and son in law it wasn't surprising. Her magic was just weakening her missing those she's lost.
"You too darling, Teddy's missed you too. Just last night we were looking through family pictures, he pointed you out" a warm feeling bubbled withing me at those words.
To think that he's already recognizing me, despite not being with him as often. It hurt to leave him here with Andromeda, not that she's not taking good care of him, but I wanted to be part of his life and see him grow.
"How long do you think the house is going to take?" Andromeda asked placing Teddys snack in front of me.
I answered while feeding Teddy bits and pieces of his fruits, "soon, all the dark objects are almost completely removed. Once done the goblins will help set up wards. Maybe three months"
"I wish it gets made soon, I fear I won't be able to hang on much longer" Andromeda softly said, "I find myself more tired lately. It's getting harder to keep up with Teddy"
"Do you want me to take him with me? It wouldn't be any trouble taking him now, and I'll be able to keep him safe, I've got two gods on my side afterall"
"In a month, a month and then you can take him. I can't bear to part with him yet" I nodded solemnly at her words. Even though she didn't say it I knew in a month Andromeda wouldn't be alive any longer.
"I'll have a portkey made so I can come as soon as possible. Do you need more elves?" one of my elves, missy, was already working for Andromeda to help her out.
"No, I don't need more, when the time comes, I'm going to have Missy bring Teddy over to you. There would be some that want to take him away as soon as they can"
If it wasn't for the godparent ritual that I did I wouldn't have any rights to Teddy, and those in the ministry that want to take him away would be able to. It isn't an absolute plan; I was taken away from Sirius. There is no way I would make Teddy suffer the same way I did. People fearing his werewolf blood, taking him away and treating him like trash.
I've been trying to get the laws to be changed, but it's been a slow going process.
"Tell me something about you, I can tell something good has happened recently"
Flushing at being caught I focused intently on Teddy, "I found my soulmate, James. He and I went on a date this morning" I admitted.
"Oh! That's wonderful news" Andromeda clapped her hands in excitement, Teddy followed along with her laughing.
I spent the next hour answering questions about James and playing with Teddy. I rocked Teddy so that he could go down for his nap, which would also make it easier for me to leave the house. Although it was afternoon here in England, in New York it was getting really late.
"I'll come visit you again soon" I whispered to Andromeda, so that I don't wake up Teddy.
"Bring your soulmate along" She whispered back just as I stepped through the floo.
"I'm home" I said exhausted, it took me forever to convince Uncle Lucius to let me leave. He was not a happy camper that I found my soulmate.
"You look like crap, whats wrong?" Peter asked from his spot on the couch.
"Nothing, I told Andromeda about James being my soulmate and was grilled for an eternity. And playing with Teddy was a workout in itself" I slumped in beside him, Teddy had way too much energy for an almost two-year-old.
"Wait! James as in James Barnes?" He asked shocked pausing his game he gave me his full attention, "You mean the winter soldier is your soulmate!"
"Yeah, guess I forgot to tell you huh" I mumbled running a hand through my hair to get it to be some semblance of neat after the floo travel.
"I'm going to need to talk to him" Peter said with determination.
"No Peter, you can't give James the shovel talk" I sighed out.

Dahlia's POV
"What's on your mind doll?" James asked nudging my shoulder with his own.
We were out on our second date; this time James had called me down through Friday. He was waiting holding a picnic basket in hand at my normal exit, and we got a taxi to Fort Tryon Park.
"Everything," I sighed out, "I'm sorry I've just got a lot on my mind"
"No need to apologize doll, want to talk about it?"
"I've got a godson, Teddy he's almost two, he'll be coming to live with me soon. I need to do so much and prepare. I was going to stay in the tower but I think buying a house would be better, so I need to look at that too" I unloaded all my worries with no hesitation. "I'm also afraid how dad would take me wanting to move"
"I don't know how Tony would react, but from what you've told me he loves you. Just talk it out with him. Maybe even get him to look at houses with you" James said leaning back.
"You didn't say anything about my godson, are you alright with that?" I asked him worried. If he didn't want Teddy than our relationship was over, soulmate or not.
"You'll let me near him? Trust me with a baby" He asked shocked.
"Obviously I would. You're my," love, soulmate, everything, but I settled for saying "Boyfriend"
"Doll, I swear I'll treat him like my own son," James promised leaning in and pecking my cheek.
"What if he was different? Like not normal like other kids," I knew I sounded vulnerable, but I couldn't help but ask him.
"You mean like he's got an illness?" James asked sounding worried, "Love, that wouldn't matter at all to me"
"not an illness per say" I sighed before forcing myself to look into his concerned blue eyes, "Like magic"
"That's all? Doll he could be magic, or even an alien, it wouldn't matter to me"
"Even if I was also magic?" I softly asked not really wanting to ask but knew I should.
If I was in James place I would want to know, and I would feel hurt that I wasn't told when things were getting serious. They were getting serious, sure this is only our second date, and we've only known each other for a week, but it felt longer. We talked every day, having exchanged numbers since our first date.
"I love you doll, your mine, I don't care if you have magic. Do you care that I was a killer?"
"That wasn't you," I fiercely denied, "You were controlled. Nothing you did was in your control"
"Then why do you think your magic would bother me?" James asked wrapping his arms around me.
"You're my soulmate," I felt safe in his warm arms, safe enough to admit what we were.
"Is that why I fell in love with you so fast?" James asked curiously, no hint of accusation.
"No, the magic makes us notice each other," I shook my head softly, "love comes as you get to know your partner. I do love you too James" leaning up I pecked his chin.
"For a second there I was worried I went too fast when you didn't answer"
"I love you" I stated again looking into his eyes.
"Love you too doll, may I kiss you?" He asked eyes glancing down to my lips.
"Yes" I barely got the word out before his lips were on mine. James kissed me softly, so gentle showing me all the love he felt. Pulling away was difficult, but I knew any longer and it wouldn't be appropriate for public.
We stayed in the park for a while longer, sharing chaste kisses. It wasn't long when we had to return back to the tower.
"Come on James, why don't you come up?" I pouted.
"Maybe another time doll, I have a feeling that everyone needs a bit more time to get used to you and I being together" shoving his hands in his jacket pocket he leaned forward, close enough that I felt his breath on my face. "Besides, I have a feeling Steve is going to be on a warpath looking for his precious Bucky"
"Next time them," I reluctantly agreed.
"Next time," James leaned forward and pressed a kiss at the corner of my mouth.
"You missed," I smiled, hesitating for just a moment before giving him a chaste kiss on the lips.
"See you tomorrow Doll, I'll come up for lunch make sure your family doesn't kill me" James said as he let me get into the elevator.
I was feeling very happy, the day was just perfect. I practically skipped over to dad, who was in his lab.
"Hey dad can we talk?" I asked him sitting on my designated stool.
"Sure Petal, give me one second" He said while quickly saving what seemed to be the semantics of a new suit. Turning around so that he was facing me he gave me his entire attention.
Once I had his full attention, I did what James said and explained that I wanted to buy a house.
"It's not that I don't want to stay with you dad, but Teddy is young and he needs space to run around and play. Not to mention he can't control his magic yet. It would be a nightmare here in the tower"
"If you move, I will be able to visit right? You won't suddenly decide you don't want your old man around anymore?" Dad teased, yet behind the teasing there was genuine worry.
"If you don't come over, I would be very disappointed. I want Teddy to know his grandpa" I honestly told him.
"Good, good…wait grandpa? I just found out I was a dad to three human kids and now you've made me a grandpa?" He exclaimed looking more excited than panicked. "I'm the best-looking grandpa out there"
Getting up so I can leave him to his planning, he was already ordering Friday to buy toys for babies.
"James will be over for lunch tomorrow" I shot over my shoulder before running away.
Did I soften dad up with talks of Teddy just so I could mention James visit? Yes, yes, I did.

Chapter 24
Tony's POV
Against my better judgement, I ended up inviting Natasha and Clint to join us for lunch. I didn't want to at first. Didn't even want anything to do with them, especially after what happened. Clint had joined Steve's side, albeit unknowing of what was to come, the same as Natasha. Natasha joining Steve's side hurt whenever I would think back on that day.
Would Steve have still reached the bunker? Would I have followed and still gotten beaten? Questions like these were constantly swirling in my mind since that day. Nothing would have changed my anger, and hurt I felt. Not even seeing Natasha and Clint being annoyed with Steve.
What did change me was having the two assassins wait outside the training room for three hours so that they could apologize. I'll admit I was hiding from them for 2 of those three hours hoping they would just give up and leave, but they didn't.
Those two hours really forced me to think back to why I was so angry at them. I was angry they choose Steve over me, but then again in the end so did I. That was why I ended up in that cursed bunker, because I wanted to help Steve. They didn't know what would happen, and I highly doubt Steve told them the truth. I didn't want to forgive them, but I did and even invited them to lunch.
How was I to know that after hearing that not only would James join us, but also the twin assassins that everyone would show up? I mean everyone, Pepper, Rhodey, Happy, Peter, Dahlia, Loki, Thor, and Adam. I'm sure they would have roped in more people to come if they were given more notice, I was just glad Friday decided to share the news while the three assassins were coming up in the elevator.
"So, we're forgiving them just like that?" Dahlia asked breaking the staring contest that was happening by everyone at the table. Natasha and Clint were acting as if they weren't affected but from their minuscule tenseness, I knew they were.
"From what I heard; Laura really gave Clint hell. But yes, Petal we are forgiving them" I sighed out.
"That's no fun. Ghost you can tell the bots to disengage, would you?"
"Disengage? Petal what did you have the bots doing?" I asked narrowing my eyes at both her and Peter who were smiling mischievously.
"Nothing dad, relax" Peter said leaning back.
"Onto other things, Aunt Pepper do you want to come with Dad and me when we go out to find a house?" Petal asked quickly changing the topic. I couldn't even argue because immediately Pepper, Rhodey and Peter were latching onto the topic, worried why she wanted to move out.
"That's it? No one else is going to do or say anything?" Natasha softly asked me.
"That's it. Dahlia trusts me, and knows how you guys were uncomfortable. She's kind like that" I said leaning back.
"Good kid, why didn't we know about her before" Clint asked quietly.
"Didn't know about her," I said shrugging my shoulders.
"Doesn't seem like you didn't. You guys act as if you were always in each other's lives" Natasha said, her words had a warmth bubbling in my chest.
Throughout lunch I observed, not so indiscreetly, the interaction between James and Dahlia. James was polite, not only to Dahlia but everyone else too. Although the man didn't start up any conversation he did engage, more passionately with Dahlia than others. From our short lunch I could see that he loves my daughter, cares for her.
Even once lunch was done, Peter somehow managed to take James aside, no doubt giving some sort of talk of torture if Dahlia was ever harmed. Peter came back looking very satisfied, sitting beside Dahlia and loudly proclaiming his approval of their relationship.
Slowly through lunch, Natasha and Clint even relaxed, talking and sharing stories.
This is what I had wanted. Everyone here and getting along.

Bucky's POV
I was going to leave right after lunch, yet somehow Dahlia managed to cajole me to see her studio.
"It used to be on the same floor as our rooms, but I started to need more space" Dahlia said, face flushed in embarrassment. "So, dad moved it down on this floor."
"Does anyone else have anything on this floor?" I asked curiously. It seemed very empty especially considering how full the tower usually is.
It was somewhat similar to a resident floor, only because there was a living room with huge couches and an even bigger TV. But it mainly seemed to be rows of rooms.
"My art studio, there are also rooms set up for any of the employees to crash in" Dahlia softly said.
That opened up a thousand more questions, "Why do they sleep here? Is it safe for strangers to be coming in and out?"
"Some pull all-nighters, others stay because they don't want to go home. I know some stay when they fight with their roommates and stuff. This floor is also open for those that weren't feeling well and need to lay down" She shrugged her shoulders in casualness.
"Is this normal for workplaces to do?" I asked, before the war, I've never once heard of an employer giving accommodations like this. Granted I did work doing more labor work, but I don't recall hearing this from anyone else either.
"No, I think it's just dad. He likes to help people" No doubt about that fact. Tony had everything he needed, a huge company, money and lots of it. Yet he still risked his life to help out others. It doesn't surprise me that he would go above and beyond for his employees.
"Dahlia? I thought you were already in your studio?" A man asked stepping out from one of the rooms. He looked very tired and in pain, holding onto his head and squinting at the both of us.
"Dave! How are you feeling? How's your migraine?" Dahlia asked softly going closer to the blonde.
It was heartwarming to see how much Dahlia fussed over the worker. Maybe a lesser man would get jealous on his girl treating another man with care, but not me. All I saw was how big her heart was, she was just so caring. It didn't seem like this was her father's employee, more like it was her friend.
It wasn't all too shocking either, knowing how Dahlia and Tony loved interacting with everyone in the tower.
"I asked Friday to get me a ride home, the nap I took didn't help at all" Dave spoke softly using one of his hands to press his left temple. "I thought I heard someone in there an hour ago"
I was immediately on alert. An hour ago, we were all getting ready for lunch. There was also no way an employee would go in, according to Dahlia the employees knew not to mess with her stuff and the door was always locked.
"Doesn't Friday know who went in?" my voice came out gruff because of my tenseness.
"We don't have monitors in my studio. It bothers me and my art magic from working," Dahlia nervously looked up at me. "Do you think it's someone bad?"
"Just let me go in first" I said already walking a bit faster. I know she could take care of herself; she was more thank capable with Loki as her teacher. Although I know she already knew how to defend herself before too.
"Alright," she easily agreed.
"Do you want me to call Tony?" Dave spoke up, "Or security?"
"No, I'll call dad myself" Dahlia said before softly ordering Ghost to pass on the message. "Why don't you head out just in case, is there anyone else in the rooms?"
"It was empty last I checked. I'll just head on down then. Be safe!"
I made a mental note to myself to ask just why the employees were so nice and loyal to Stark and his family. It was just baffling how much they care, but for now the important thing was to see who had invaded her studio.
I opened the door slowly, not wanting to alert the person or people that were inside. Just in case they ended up being violent. I could feel Dahlia's warmth, from how close she was standing.
Seeing the person standing there had me instantly relaxing. At least it wasn't a threat. The familiar blonde hair, muscular structure was Steve. He was sitting on one of the stools painting on one of the canvas'.
"Steve, what the hell are you doing here?" I used my body to shield Dahlia from view. The punk may not be a threat to her, but I still didn't want him to see her soon.
