Chapter 239

.

Note: This version of Poseidon is from "Xena warrior princess." Ren and Bloth are from the short lived animated series "the pirates of dark water."

.

As this ship was sailing across the sea, Peter Parker couldn't help but notice the irony of there being an ocean in Hell. But he soon came up with a theory on that one. The waters bubbled, Elizabeth and the rest of her crew could sense what this meant, and they were appropriately afraid of this. A giant emerged from the water. He wore a crown and held a trident. This was Poseidon, the ancient greek god of the sea. Perhaps he had helped create this ocean in Hell as a way to reclaim his old kingdom. And people were fine with worshipping a god, even performing sacrifices to him, if he could give them relief from te great thirst that was all too common here. Making himself into a giant, and all the trappings, evidently Poseidon liked putting on airs. Han didn't like bowing down to those who claimed to be gods. Still, Han knew he had to be on his best behavior, because it seemed like Poseidon could literally drown them all by simply stretching out his hand.

.

Poseidon: Who seeks passage through my kingdom?

Han: I do. My name is Han Solo, I am trying to find my son.

Poseidon: Solo? Yes, your son is Jacen.

Han: You know him?

Poseidon: I know where he is, and I will grant you safe passage. But you must do something for me.

Han: Name it.

Poseidon: Do you speak for the others?

Elizabeth: Tell us what the favor is, we'll decide for ourselves whether to help Han.

Poseidon: Very well. There is a pirate named Bloth. He has control of dark water. This threatens my subjects, and my rule.

Han: We take out Bloth and destory the dark water, then you help us?

Poseidon: Yes.

Elizabeth: And what happens if we die in this quest?

Poseidon: I will use my influece to try and get you released. But be warned, Bloth is not to be underestimated. There is another, a man named Ren. He and his crew fought Bloth on their homeworld, he might be able to help you now.

Han: Can you by any chance arrange an introduction?
