So, it's skipped onto a day after a chapter, and to see how Luna is handling with her son, Lincoln still in his coma. But, she will find out some more complicated stuff are on the way, and this would result in more stuff that could transpire between mother and son. Enjoy reading this my friends.

Family of Two.

Chapter 242: Coping without her boy.

(April 19, the Loud House.)

The sun rises onto the house, but there doesn't seem to be much good things to look forward to for the residents of the home, but the one not feeling so good about this day is Luna Loud, the mother of Lincoln Loud.

Luna gets down from her top bunk and she looks to the lower bunk, which is where her son sleep and he's not there. Luna is saddened by this and she goes over and she grabs the plush polar bear and she puts it into her bag.

'Well, another day without… Without my boy. This is not gonna be an easy trip, but I need to be patient and…. And let him heal.'

Luna then leaves the bedroom and she makes her way to the bathroom to get herself ready for the day, a day that doesn't feel right for her.

(Later.)

Luna comes down from upstairs and dressed for the day, she then walks into the dining room and she sees Delilah, Michelle and Harriet, and the breakfast is already. "Hey, Luna." Michelle gets up and she goes over and hugs Luna.

Luna sheds some tears and she returns the hug as well, she's in deep pain with her son not around and Michelle understands her, heck she'd go into total pressure, distress and mourn if something happened to Delilah. They're both mothers who care about the kids they have taken into their lives.

They depart from the hug and they go over and eat the food that was made, Lun barely eats and this concerns them all, then Harriet recalls something. "Luna, I know you turned off your phone, but I received some messages that the rest of the friends are coming to check on Lincoln later."

"They wanna know if it's alright with you, even Lori is going to come and check on him and they brought some gifts to show to him and make sure he gets them when he wakes up."

Luna sighs, "Yeah, alright. Just, ask them when they're gonna be there and when they're gonna leave, I wanna see him after they do and I wanna do it alone."

Harriet nods. Then she recalls another thing. "Also, mail came in and it's from the rest of the former Louds. I didn't open them yet, because I wanted to know when you're gonna…."

"Not at the moment, dude." Luna then eats her bacon and drinks her coffee and then she finishes and she puts her plate into the sink and she heads to her room to get her school things and get ready to leave.

Michelle sighs seeing this. "Luna is going through some stuff, it'll be a while for her to be herself, without her son this is a road not easy to cope with."

Delilah then looks to her mom. "Mom, what about FutureTech? Couldn't they…."

"They tried, but his head suffered from heavy damage and even though Lincoln is strong to go through pain and a lot of hurt, but that guy who did this used some kind of metallic boot that brought a lot of damage to his skull, and healing his brain would be fatal, so the best thing they did was add some kind of healing pathogen" replied Michelle.

"The process is slow, because his head suffered through so much and needs to be steadily healed with little interruptions, and as for the hunt got those damned clients of that monster…. Well, they're all taken down and hunted, multiple arrests and businesses shutdown."

"But the one who wanted Lincoln out of the picture is still out there, and everyone is on high alert." Hearing this concerns Delilah and Harriet. That murderer didn't name the client, which means one murderous client is at large.

They even informed the family, well the wife and son of Jak and they didn't want anything to do with what had happened, and last thing they heard, is that they have fled the country. Now, they hope that FutureTech can find out who is this client that hired that cynical killer, Jak69. The hunt continues.

(Royal Woods High School.)

Luna then parks her car, and the teens around the school stop talking and see the purple Ferrari, and then they see the teen rocker/mother walk out and she walks into the school and ignores the concerned looks from everyone, she just wants this day done with.

Luna goes into the school and she passes by everyone, and she even ignores the greeting from Principal Rivers, and she knows why she's like this and everyone feels bad for her and what happened to her son, but some are grateful for what she did, in getting rid of that scumbag.

Luna goes to her locker, and she checks the things she needs and then she closes the locker. She then sees Sam and her concerned face, and so Sam hugs her and Luna returns the embrace. "It's gonna be okay Luna, he's gonna be fine."

Luna doesn't respond, but she lets her tears fall. Sam knows. "I know that you plan to see him after school, and I'd like to tag along too. He's my kid as well, and we both have our responsibility to be there for him, as a family."

Luna departs from the hug. "Okay, okay Sammy. Thank you."

Sam nods and she kisses Luna's cheek. "Anytime, now come on. The faster we get to class, then perhaps the faster this day will end and then we can go and check on our boy." The duo walk down the halls and they greet Sully and Mazzy who walk with them.

But the duo then recall something. 'When the time is right, we need to tell Luna and Sam that Crest came to our homes and demanded some change of rules, and that we weren't going with it. But, then again…. Chances she's gonna come for them.'

(Outside the Royal Woods Hospital.)

The location still has some security forces from the other world guarding the place, because they know that the client who hired that bastard fucker Jak is still out there, and probably still wants the boy dead.

Luna's purple Ferrari parks itself near the place, and the 16-year old gets out along with her girlfriend, and they look to the building, but they see someone else is there and that someone is Katie Crest, and she's not along, Mick Swagger is also there.

Luna didn't bother with them. "Come on, Sammy." The two teens then walk towards the building, but then Mick calls to them.

"Lunes, please. We just wanna talk."

Luna didn't seem to have a choice, these two were not gonna leave her alone, so she stops along with Sam, but they don't turn around. "What the bloody hell do you want?"

Mick Swagger speaks. "Luna, after what had transpired. I believe that we have to reconsider about the rules you made for the summer tour…." Hearing that ticks off Luna. "Because, we don't want the boy to get into danger, he would be in worse condition if he comes with us."

Luna sighs, but she doesn't turn around. "Fine… Then we're not going to the summer tour."

That was something that Katie Crest did not want to hear and it angers her. "Luna, I can tell that you are going through some hard times, especially with your son in the hospital. But, the choices of the tour is something that has been made and the rules have to be changed and you are needed through the whole thing."

"Do not make the mistake of bailing on this opportunity that I am giving you. The tour needs you and without it is nothing, and the whole issues that have happened are not gonna apply, because we have rules to change and one of them is the boy that's coming with us, he's better off here in town than to be with you on the tour."

That part was making Luna pissed off, and she turns around and they see the pissed off glare she's casting and she looks as pissed as the moment she killed that insane fool, Jak.

"You might wanna reconsider those fucking words you spoke, because I'm getting a shit ton of suspicion and theories about you and what you're motives are. Like, there's a piece of the puzzle behind the conflict that happened, to my son!"

Katie Crest is shocked by this, but she stands firm. "I had no part to play, I had no intentions to get rid of your kid. What I do want, is for you to change…."

"Not gonna happen, bitch!" They're shocked that Luna spoke of that to Katie Crest. "You want me on tour, then the rules stay! But if you don't want the rules, then go fuck yourself alone on the tour with this hairy fool from across the sea!"

Mick Swagger is shocked she would say that about him. "Lunes. Please, calm down and…"

Luna looks to him with one mean glare and this makes Mick Swagger stagger back and nearly stumble.

"You do not get to speak, so shut the fuck up!" Luna then looks to Crest. "You want that fucking stupid ass summer music tour? Then stick to the fucking rules we applied, if not? Then go burn yourself with all the stupid fame and fortune that won't matter, because there are so many bad vibes I get from you, and whenever you come around, then something bad shit happens."

Sam then holds Luna's hand and she speaks. "You had better stick to those rules and leave us alone, better yet, get the hell out of here and don't ever come back…. unless we call you."

Katie Crest was not liking this, then she sees some of the troops all looking to her. "Fine." The woman and Mick Swagger take their leave, but then Mick hears what Luna says.

"I don't even know what the hell I ever saw in someone like you. Because the Mick I knew wouldn't side with someone who didn't care about family, and you cared about family during the Royal Woods Family festival, where was he?"

Mick remains silent and he goes back into the car and they drive off.

Luna and Sam sigh in relief, and they walk into the hospital to go and see Lincoln.

(Inside.)

Luna and Sam walk down the halls and they look around the doors that they walk by and soon Luna sees the room where her son is, and she feels a lump in her through and she's getting nervous doing this, but then Sam holds her hand. "It's gonna be okay, come on. Let's go and check on him."

Luna nods and she slowly makes her way and when they go to the door, it opens and coming out is Jordan and her parents. The 12-year and the 16-year old look to each other and Luna embraces the girl and Jordan embraces the teen.

The duo stay in this embrace for a few minutes, and then they depart from the hug. "Go, Luna. You're son needs you."

Luna nods and she kisses the girls' forehead. "Thanks for coming here and being there for him. You're family, always little Rosato."

Jordan smiles and so she steps aside and watches as Luna and Sam go into the room, the girl and her parents take their leave and they were glad that Luna sees them as family, as the future would be told.

The door opens, and the two teens are heartbroken to see him once again. Lying onto the bed, but with no more bandages or any other injuries, Lincoln Loud is still there and in his coma and not waking up anytime soon.

The sight of this makes Sam have tears, but Luna just walks towards him. But every step feels like a long walk, and as if she's got some weights keeping her from going any further, and yet she keeps going.

Luna then stands on the right side of her son and looks to his sleeping face, and the sight of the way he's in just breaks her heart and soon she begins to sob. "Lincoln, I'm sorry…. I'm sorry that… That I wasn't there to save you… I'm so, so sorry, my son."

Sam goes over and she embraces Luna and she joins in the heartbreaking moment, she too was saddened that Lincoln won't wake up. The duo stay like this for a while.

(Moments later.)

Luan and Sam have finished shedding the tears of the pain they're dealing with of Lincoln being like this, and right now Luna placed the plush polar bear by her son's side and she kisses his cheek.

Sam sees this and looks to her girlfriend. "Are you alright, Luna?"

Luna sighs. "Yes, and no. I don't think I could go on with Linc being like this, but I know it's not what he would want me to do." She then wipes away some tears.

"Now, I don't know when he's gonna wake up, but I'm not gonna give up. I'm gonna keep doing what I do, and pray that one day he does wake up and when he does, then we can be a family again and make up for whatever lost time we're gonna have."

Luna then looks to Sam. "Because that's what Lincoln would want us to do, to keep living and going with our lives, but to always be there for the family who loves each other."

Sam smiles and she hugs Luna, the two stay like this and both decide to make a promise. A promise that they'll keep on going for Lincoln, and that when the time comes, then the family they have will be together once more.

Because even though he's in a coma, he's still alive and well and doing fine, and that he will wake up one day and when he does, then everything can go back to the life they have always loved, the Family of Two.

But the teen couple are unaware that his left finger just twitched.

A/N: This is not an easy thing to get over, but sure to hell that Luna will wait, and chances that wait with the coma might not be that long, and her suspicions on Katie Crest linked with Jak might be true, because it is. The next chapter will be posted on April 30, so that's a long wait, but doesn't seem that long. The longest wait was when we had to wait for Luna's Birthday from last year.
