Chapter 250
.
Note: Yolanda is from the television series "Stargirl" Billy is from the 2019 movie "Shazaam." Also, 250 chapters is a fairly significant milestone, thanks to all those who've made it worth my effort.
.
Yolanda and Billy discussed the situation regarding their parents. In all the chaos of the worlds breaking down, neither had been able to find their parents. Both feared that their respective parents were in Hell, both had issues predating all of this.
.
Billy: My mother took me to a carnival when I was little, won me a compass. Like a child I dropped my new toy, and went back to get it. When I looked up I couldn't see her, there was one woman wearing similar clothes, I thought was her. So I went over to this total stranger, what do you supposse this other woman did?
Yolanda: Called the police?
Billy: Yes. The police figured that a carnival this large, fairly easy to get lost, so they did everything they could to find my mother, they couldn't. I didn't find out for ten years, she decided to use this opportunity to abandon me.
Yolanda: I'm sorry. But I heard you found a new family.
Billy: After ten years bouncing around the foster system, yeah. And they were a good family. This was around when I got my powers and became Shazaam. I soon learned I couldn't do it alone. So I did what everyone says they'd do with power and almost noone does.
Yolanda: You shared it.
Billy: Yes, with my new brothers and sisters. Together we beat Evil.
Yolanda: I can kind of relate. My parents, they didn't leave, but they abandoned me. They were good parents, once, until I made one mistake. My boyfriend, asked me to send him some pictures of myself, pictures you're definitely too young to see.
Billy: I think I know what you mean.
Yolanda: He promised he wouldn't show them to anyone, he lied. Pretty soon the whole school saw my private parts, and I became an outcast. After that, I wasn't their daughter anymore. They grounded me indefinitely, barely spoke to me, said there was no going back. When Courtney recruited me, I had to sneak out to become a superhero. Hard as it was, it made me feel better than I had in a long time.
Billy; And now we both fear our parents are in Hell. I'm still angry at my mother.
Yolanda: I'm still angry at my parents. But I don't believe anyone should have to suffer for all eternity for one mistake.
Billy; Okay then. Let's make a plan to go to Hell.
