Chapter 250: Aftermath from the crash.
(Royal Woods General Hospital.)
Right now we see Luna Loud, lying on the bed and badly injured after what she had to endure to keep her son safe, her arm is in a cast and her cuts and bruises have been patched up, but she suffered some internal injuries and that could be a while for her to recover.
They had to perform some surgery to deal with some of the damages inside of her, and she's not alone in the room. Lying asleep and still in his clothing is Lincoln, he only suffered small injuries and all because of Luna when she saved him, but he passed out from the adrenaline no longer rushing into his body.
But also, the whole thing has sparked the life back into his thoughts, but let's have the doctor explain everything.
Dr. Kendrick is outside and he's talking with Sam, Michelle, Delilah, Harriet and the others, and all of them wants to know what Luna's condition is.
"Alright, so it could be a while before Luna could recover and if she does, then she'll need to be kept an eye on. We can't be sure that she could be in her old and moving shape as she used to. She took a big hit from the crash, and as for Lincoln he's doing fine."
Sam then asks. "Then, what about his mind? Is he doing alright in there?"
Dr. Kendrick then looks to his clipboard. "Well, his mind is working fine and it seems like, he suffered from a mild concussion that managed to reconfigure the nerves within his brain to recall, everything, but then we double checked and scanned him and it could be a dual cure method."
Harriet can tell what he means. "I see, it seems like the hit he took made him fix some damages, rather than make the damages worse, and the sight of seeing Luna in pain and not responding reignited the memories he had locked away, and now Lincoln has all of his memories back."
Dr. Kendrick nods. "She's not wrong, now Lincoln remembers everything, and chances that by the time he wakes up. He's gonna panic, so be prepared for that one."
"We will sir" replied Michelle Lewis. "Now, we don't even know why those men attacked them."
"We do." They see Merris and StoneHeart go towards them and Merris speaks. "WE were able to get some dirt on the guy who survived the crash, and he's locked up for a long time and he was an associate of the robber who tried to kill Lincoln days ago."
StoneHeart then speaks. "He gave us the location of the person who hired him, but he said that he doesn't know who that person is because the one thing they heard was a deep voice. So, the same person who hired them is the same person who sent that robber to kill Lincoln at the mall."
"And this person is also responsible for the attack from that rancid man, named Jak. We went to the location to where this person is residing, and it was an old cabin in the woods, that was lit on fire. So, that was a dead end and now we have no more leads."
"But this whole investigation is not a bust" said Merris. "Because we're not going to let this crook escape, we managed to find this from the remains of the burnt cabin in the woods."
Merris shows them a badge, and this badge had the symbol of a microphone, with a blue triangle at the back and three red rings in the middle.
Sam looks closely. "What the heck is that?"
"That's what we wanna know" said Merris. "We have no knowledge on what the heck does this mean, and there seems to be no fingerprints on the badge either. But if we could find someone who has this thing, then that means we found the person who wanted Lincoln Loud dead."
Harriet takes the badge. "Perhaps I could figure out who has one of these, I may be able to work through my spell books and perhaps find out who this bastard is."
StoneHeart nods. "And that's what we're hoping from you. But for now, we are making some epic new changes to Royal Woods, and to do that we need to tell Mayor Davis, and if she agrees, then we're gonna have to make a direct call to the guys at the FutureTech base, and the changes will be made and done."
They all nod and understand, the upcoming changes will do better for everyone in town, to ensure that this kind of attack doesn't happen again.
Harriet then stops and she looks to the door of the room. "Lincoln's awake!"
They're all alarmed by this and go into the room and they see the white-haired boy in tears and holding Luna's right hand. "Mom? Mommy? Mom, wake up. Please!"
Lincoln tries to shake her to wake up, and then he sobs as he holds her hand, but then Sam goes over to hug him, but only to be pushed away. "Get away from me!" They're all startled by this, Lincoln is angry.
The boy looks towards Luna. "Mom? Mom, wake up. Please, wake up. Please!" Lincoln then kisses her cheek. "Mom, you… You have to wake up, mom please! I don't wanna lose you, wake up mom!"
"Mom, I'm sorry. I'm sorry I forgot the memories…. Please, wake up, momma wake up!"
Dr. Kendrick sees that this could be a problem. "Get him away from Luna, we can't have him constantly shaking her, she has to recover."
Sam nods and she goes over and pulls Lincoln away, but the sudden movement makes him resist and now Sam has to hold down the sad and angry child. "No… No, no. Leave me along, Momma! Wake up, please! Mommy!"
The others join in to prevent him from going to her. "Lincoln, please. Let your mother recover, she has to stay still and heal." Delilah does what she can to comfort him, and Jordan joins in and hugs the boy.
Lincoln is still in tears, but seeing everyone around him and hugging him has him moved, and then he recalls that he lost his memories of them and that they all did what they could to help him and this makes him cry and collapse to the ground.
They all continue to comfort him as he continues to feel distress and cries. "I'm spry, I'm so sorry. I'm sorry."
Seeing this hurts Sam and she pulls him close to her, and so he hugs her too. "It's okay Linky, everything is gonna be okay. I got you, baby. Mommy's here."
(The Loud House.)
Night has fallen, and right now Lincoln is sitting on his bed and looking to the picture of himself with Luna. Lincoln begins to shed some tears as he recalls how this all went bad.
"Mom…. Mommy, I… I'm so, sorry. I'm so, so sorry mom. I just… I don't know, this is all my fault. It's all my fault, if I had just had my memories sooner, then maybe we wouldn't be in this god damn mess!"
Lincoln let's go of the photo and he continues to sob, he cries as he recalls the state his mother was in and how painful it was to see her vulnerable and not responding to his pleads and cries, and now Lincoln feels alone.
But he's not alone. Walking into the room, is Sam, Michelle and Delilah. (Harriet is busy with tracking down on who might have the same badge and find out who this suspect mastermind is.)
The three girls walk into the room and they go over and sit next to Lincoln. Sam to her right and Delilah and Michelle to her left. They come together and hug the saddened little boy and do what they can to comfort him.
They all look to Lincoln who is now hugging Sam and still crying. "I didn want this… Why did this happen?"
"We don't know Linc, we don't know." Sam hugs him tightly and she kisses his forehead. "But we all promise you this…" She looks towards Delilah and Michelle. "Whoever made this happen, the one who caused all of this from the start, is not gonna get away with it."
(Somewhere outside of Saginaw.)
We now see Katie Crest at the hotel somewhere far from where Royal Woods is, and she goes through what she found out. She is deeply disappointed at her guys for what they did, and that the whole plan failed.
Katie Crest punches the wall and grits her teeth. 'Idiots! Idiots! Now what the heck am I supposed to do?! That kid is still alive, and now Luna is in the hospital, I need to know how the hell am I supposed to get rid of him!'
'If he continues to live, then the whole tour will be a bust and I will never have my shot to make Luna Loud do whatever I want! There has to be another way to get rid of that kid, and fast.'
She then looks to the numbers of all the folks she's in league with, the folks who owe her and so she smirks. "Very well then, perhaps with Luna Loud temporarily unconscious, I might take advantage and get rid of the kid through my other contacts."
She goes for the numbers list, but then she thinks of something. "Or perhaps, I could go and see Luna Loud myself. I do recall, that she said that I cannot come back to town, and she's not awake to see me go into town and that would give me the shot to go and confront her kid."
Katie Crest then puts the list on contacts into her bag. "This can wait, for now I ride for Royal Woods." She then makes her way out of the room and head for her car to go to Royal Woods.
A/N: This is going to be a while before Luna is back on her feet, and when she does, she will be overjoyed to see her son back to who he is, but it seems like someone is making a comeback to Royal Woods, again. Leave a review and tell me what you all think.
