When Acnologia was alive, Laxus and the others wanted their younger fighters to retreat while they would sacrifice themselves. It seemed like they were going to do that, but Nashi and all the others came back to stay and fight. They just couldn't go through with it because it's not Fairy Tail's way and that spread to everyone else. Now, all of them have decided to stand and fight together. When Nashi all the others came back, they launched a powerful attack at Ankhselam.
"Not bad." Ankhselam said as he came through the smoke. "Nashi, you and your friends just don't seem to cease to amaze me." Seeing how he wasn't exactly hurt got to some of them.
"Come on! We all gave it everything and he's still going?!" Storm said.
"I get this creep is immortal, but he must still be able to feel some pain." Ul said.
"What a monster." Sasha said. Nashi glared daggers at him. She hated him so much and wanted to bring him down even more.
"You can try all you like, but it's too late. Acnologia is revived and under my control." Ankhselam said. "There's really nothing you can do to stop me. Why won't you just give up? Even the spirit of Fairy Tail has to have some limits."
"Just shut it!" Nashi said. "Do you think we really care about something like that?! We don't! You're just another enemy to us no matter how powerful you are."
"I must say, Nashi, you certainly are more interesting than your father." Ankhselam said. "I never expected to cross paths with someone like you. What makes you think you can win? Why won't you just give up? Don't give me stuff like how Fairy Tail is family, your bonds are your strength, or any of that stuff you usually spout. Sing a new song."
"Okay. How about this?" Nashi said. "We live as if we're alive. You're living as if you're dead."
"I'm living as if I'm dead?" Ankhselam said. "Elaborate."
"I've grown and learn a lot during my time in Fairy Tail." Nashi said. "I've seen for myself that no matter how tough things are, we keep going. We live as if we're alive because no matter how hard things get for us, we hang in there and find a way to come out of it. It all works out in the end where we can smile and be happy. We don't fall into despair and darkness like you did."
"I see. So by that logic, you're saying that I'm living as if I'm dead?" Ankhselam said.
"That's right." Nashi said. "You fell into despair and darkness, you've practically given up on life. That's why we're not going to stop fighting. We might be fighting with our lives on the line, but at least we're push through with whatever life throws at us. You didn't think things would get better for you so you went down to darkness thinking you could obtain happiness. That kind of happiness isn't worth it."
"Well, that's certainly an interesting statement." Ankhselam said. "Let's see if you're ability to live as if you're alive will help you get through this." Ankhselam teleported out of there and landed on Acnologia's head.
"That does it." Nashi said as she was ready to fight with everyone else.
"Let's crush them!" Ankhselam said as he ordered Acnologia to attack with the rest of his men. This war was still going on.
"Let's send that dragon back to grave where it belongs!" Simon said with everyone cheering in agreement. The younger generation joined back in the fight as they tried to fight off the soldiers and Acnologia. The older generation was amazed that they raised such brave and amazing kids.
"How long are you going to just sit there?" Forge said as he walked over to Laxus. "Are you just going to sit there and watch as your kids do all the fighting?"
"Uh... No." Laxus said as he got back up.
"You've obviously done well as master, Laxus." Forge said. "These kids are willing to risk their lives for the sake of the guild and others. I'm sure Makarov would be proud if he could see all of this now."
"Yeah. I guess you're right because I know I'm sure proud." Laxus said. Forge took a look and could see a small trace of tears in Laxus' eyes, tears of pride and joy for what he is seeing.
"What a surprise. I don't think I've ever seen you shed tears before." Forge said. "I knew you had a heart somewhere in there."
"Shut up. I don't know what you're talking about." Laxus said as he tried to clear his eyes. "This is no time to get sentimental in the first place."
"You're right about that." Forge said. "You're still Fairy Tail's master. You're still alive because of those kids. As the master, you owe it to them to fight along side them."
"I know that." Laxus said as he was starting to build power. "Attack!" That was when the old generation joined in. Now the current and old generations are fighting together, fighting for each other, the world, and their future. "Take out as many soldiers as you can, but don't take your eyes off Acnologia! That's going to be the biggest threat!"
"Let me!" Nashi said as she went straight for the dragon.
"Nashi!" Coro called as he went to join her attack. "Let's really turn up the heat!"
"You got it!" Nashi said as they both formed fireballs in their hands. "Fire Dragon Brilliant Flame!"
"Sun Dragon Brilliant Flame!" Both of them used two different variations of the same attack. They combined into one large fireball that smashed against Acnologia. They both thought that did something, but Acnologia didn't appeared hurt.
"Nothing?!" Nashi said. Acnologia raised his claw and was going to smash it right on Nashi.
"Move it!" Coro shouted as he was able to push Nashi out of the way.
"Thanks." Nashi said.
"No problem. I can't believe those attacks together didn't do anything" Coro said. "Hey, Stella! Why don't you give it a shot!"
"I'm on it!" Stella said as she moved in to try and attack Acnologia herself. "Moon Dragon Quill Arrows!" Stella unleashed spikes made from moonlight. They landed against Acnologia, but it seemed like they were just bouncing against him.
"What gives? He's a dragon, but dragon slayer magic doesn't seem to have any effect on him." Nashi said.
"It doesn't matter." Coro said as he was getting worked up. "This is one fight I refuse to lose."
"You said it." Stella said. "We dragon slayers travelled through time for the purpose of defeating Acnologia. If whatever accident that caused me and Coro to travel further in the future didn't happen, we could have joined the others in the battle that defeated him before."
"You're right about that." Coro said. "We missed out on that fight, but we're actually facing that dangerous dragon right now. I swear in the names of the dragons that raised us, Apollin and Lunella, this dragon is going down!" This fight means a lot more to Coro and Stella. They couldn't do anything in the first battle against Acnologia, but they have a real chance now. Nashi could see it and wants to help them fill that desire.
"In that case, let's try attacking together again." Nashi said. "You two roar with all you've got."
"You got it." Coro said as the three of them took deep breaths.
"Fire Dragon Roar!"
"Sun Dragon Roar!"
"Moon Dragon Roar!" All three of them roared as best as they could. The three of them combined into a blast of light. Acnologia was hit by the attack as he was being pushed back. It seemed like it was working, but Acnologia pushed through and was able to breakaway from the attack as he took to the sky.
"Not bad, but even dragon slayer magic won't be enough to defeat this mighty beast." Ankhselam said. Simon tried to help against it as he flew right over the beast.
"May the seven stars bring judgement upon you! Grand Chariot!" Simon had the stars come down as they smashed against him and tried pushing him down, but Acnologia began to absorb the power of the attack through his mouth.
"You'll have to do better than that." Ankhselam said. He fired a blast of magic at him, but Jellal acted faster. He flew up there and managed to get him out of the way with him taking his son back to the ground.
"Thanks, Dad." Simon said.
"A good effort, but it's not enough." Jellal said as Acnologia came down. "Acnologia is known as the Dragon of Sorcery. No form of magic can harm him."
"It's a good thing I don't use magic!" Ezrin called as he charged for an attack.
"Ezrin, wait!" Jellal called, but he just kept going as he turned his arms to blades. He jumped in and tried to attack.
"Juzumaru!" Ezrin used his attack and slashed against Acnologia's arm, but it looks like it didn't do much.
"Using curse power? Clever, but you alone isn't enough." Ankhselam said. Acnologia swiped at Ezrin and knocked him to the ground with Macbeth and Sayer rushing to his aid. "Dragon scales are quite durable. It's going to take a lot more than that to cut through them, even with Tenga Goken." This wasn't working. None of their attacks are doing that much damage.
'What are we going to do?' Lucy thought. 'It wasn't easy to deal with this monster before, but Ankhselam in control makes it more difficult.'
"Hey, Lucy!" Gray called. "Can't you just use Fairy Sphere to trap those two like last time?"
"I'm afraid that isn't going to work this time." Lucy said. "Last time, I needed to gather magic power from almost everyone in the guild and across Fiore to use it. It's also going to take time, time I don't think Ankhselam is going to give us. The moment he sees what we're doing, he'll ruin everything. Acnologia's power combined with Ankhselam's mind is a dangerous combo."
"I think we're about to see that that!" Gray said as Acnologia was coming their way. Acnologia was preparing to attack Lucy directly.
"No you don't!" Nashi said as she moved fast. "White Fire Dragon Shimmering Flame!" Nashi used the attack and smashed it against Acnologia to try and keep him back.
"Fight all you like. It's not going to do you any good." Ankhselam said.
"I don't care what you say!" Nashi said. "There's no way I'm going down to the likes of you! No one else is going to die because of you!"
"No one else is going to die?" Ankhselam questioned. "Do you even hear some of the things you're saying? This is Fairy Tail's biggest problem. You believe in fantasies. You can't prevent death, especially in war."
"Go ahead and do your worst!" Nashi dared. "I'm going to fight back with everything I've got to protect everyone! You may have taken my dad and uncle, but I won't let you take anyone else! I'll never let my friends die!"
"You'll never let your friends die? Let's put that statement to the test." Ankhselam said. Nashi claims that because she lives like she's alive, she can protect her friends and never let any of them die. Ankhselam is going to enjoy putting those statements to the test.
