Lin Ye feels reinvigorated after waking up. This is a rare occurrence; every time he entered Liz's dream before, he has felt exhausted upon waking up. This time, however, things were different. Mephisto's dream didn't leave him exhausted, but rather refreshed, for reasons he didn't understand.
Lin Ye, who was stretching his waist, was jolted by a frustrated voice that sounded abruptly. When he turns around, he sees Matterhorn curled up in the corner, clutching his blanket.
His eyes are red, and his face is sunken. He didn't appear to have slept. Lin Ye is taken aback and asks, "What's wrong with you?"
Matterhorn looks blankly at him,
"Right- it looks like you didn't sleep a wink" Lin Ye scratches his head.
"Were you dreaming?"
"How did you know?"
"You were sleep talking," Matterhorn said tiredly, "Can I ask what you were dreaming about?"
"I was sleep talking?"
"You were talking about someone having the audacity to come back? There were other things that you said but I didn't hear them clearly." Matterhorn says, "You were laughing all night long"
So, Matterhorn's tiredness stems from the fact that he was laughing in his sleep all night? It's unfathomable. He almost never talks in his sleep, let alone laugh all night while asleep.
Is this a consequence of his ability? If this was the case, what would happen in the future when he sleep-talks in the dormitory? He didn't want to disturb Ansel, though it would be payback. Ansel grinds his teeth,
A lot.
Lin Ye thought process paused and he apologises to Matterhorn.
He sighs, then shakes his head, and says, "Forget it, it's just a few hours anyway."
"I'm sorry, but why didn't you wake me up last night or change rooms?" Lin Ye couldn't stop himself from inquiring.
Matterhorn looks at him sternly: "Are you serious? This is the room given to me by God, how disrespectful would I be to leave?"
Lin Ye is having trouble comprehending Matterhorn's thought process.
"How would it be disrespectful? I'm sure Messia- I mean God wouldn't mind"
"Of course, they would," Matterhorn says that like it was common knowledge.
Is everyone here that devout to God?

"Good afternoon?" Messiah sat in the same place she sat yesterday and greets Lin Ye with a smile.
"...Good afternoon. "Lin Ye sits directly next to Messiah just like yesterday.
He immediately realised that if the hall door was not firmly shut, Pramanix, the Karlan Saintess, would be able to see his conduct. She'll almost certainly rush over to him, accusing Lin Ye of disrespecting Messiah and probably pummel him into dust.
After all, no one in Karlan, including Pramanix, is entitled to sit next to Messiah. Lin Ye, on the other hand, is sitting next to the Messiah in such a casual way. If the Kjerag people learned of his actions, he will most likely cease to exist.
"It seems like you'realways thinking about odd stuff." She teased, a grin adorning her face.
Ah. I almost forgot that this God might be able to read minds.
He quickly retracted his fantasy and said, "No, it's not true. I wasn't thinking about anything." "Hm? Wouldn't you be braindead if you weren't thinking about anything?" Messiah joked.
Lin Ye didn't know how to answer that, so he nervously laughs.
"From the look of your face, you should be here to talk about your dream from last night, right?" Messiah looks at Lin Ye with a tilted head.
"Hmm," says Lin Ye. "I did successfully invade Mephisto's dream," Lin Ye says with a smile. Lin Ye is taken aback, then realises, "Didn't you know his name?"
"Should I?"
"You are God so..."
"I am a god, a god who has lived much too long, I rarely remember the names of mortals." Messiah said sadly, "Even if I pay attention to them, they're gone in the blink of an eye, swept away through time and history"
Lin Ye pondered for a moment, about having to live through thousands of years, watching everyone around him wither and die. He never thought he would feel pity for a god.
"How did it feel to invade someone else's dream without their permission?" Messiah inquires as she raises a cup.
Lin Ye is subconsciously preparing himself to respond to Messiah, but he is concerned that what he has done will come across as cruel and evil. As a result, he skipped it entirely "I was in Mephisto's dreams. In it, he was a kid."
"A child? Very good; the psychological resilience of a child is quite weak" Messiah says.
"...His reaction is still hazy, at least in the dream; he has no recollection of it." Lin Ye declares, "If I really want to attack him, though, I'll be frozen in place, but I'll be able to shift when the dream ends. What is the reason for this?"
"It means that what you're doing is working," says Messiah,
"Is this, however, a positive or bad thing? I believe there was no way to really destroy him in a dream."
"So, what's the point? You will not harm him in reality, even if you kill him in a dream." "As long as you can get him sufficiently stressed in his dream, then your mission has been accomplished," Messiah says.
Lin Ye's finally understands it.
Lin Ye then asks her curiously "Did you go into my dream last night?"
"Your dream?"
"You can invade my dream, so why can't you enter his? I'm not sure what else to say. I'd like to know if you were in his dream the other night. Did you happen to catch a glimpse of his dream?"
Lin Ye was jittery when he asked this question. After all, he was the one who vented his frustrations the night before. He had no idea that he was being observed by a prophet.
Messiah sees through Lin Ye, the corners of her mouth turn upward, her eyes squint, and she smiles.
"Take a guess"
