Ankhselam has had enough messing around. Just as he decides to get serious, Nashi surprises him by attacking him directly. Now she's on Acnologia with him and is planning to put an end to him for good.
"Coming all the way up here to fight me alone?" Ankhselam questioned. "If your father and uncle together couldn't beat me, what makes you think you can?"
"Simply because I can!" Nashi said as she wasn't going to waste any time. She went on the attack as she had flames form around her fist. She tried to strike him, but Ankhselam was able to block it with his hand. Ankhselam kicked her back, but she was able to remain on Acnologia. "You can't shake me off that easily."
"We'll see about that." Ankhselam said as he formed dark orbs and threw them at Nashi. Nashi did her best to avoid them while also trying to remain on Acnologia. She understands that if she wants to take this behemoth down, Nashi has to do something about Ankhselam. "Shake off that parasite!" Acnologia tried moving around to try and get Nashi to fall, but she was doing her best to hang on.
"I'm not going to let you escape from me again." Nashi said as she started running at him. A collision of blackness and flames occurred as the two of them tried to push the other back. As the two of them were fighting, Lucy saw them fighting and felt like she had to do something.
"Nashi..." Lucy said. She couldn't stand to watch this. She hurried as fast as she could over there, but Gray stood in her way.
"Hold on, Lucy." Gray said as he had an idea of what she was going to do.
"Out of my way, Gray!" Lucy said. "There's no way I'm going to let Nashi fight that monster alone! No after what happened to Natsu and Zeref!"
"I get it, but there's no way you'll be able to get close enough." Gray said. "You'll be crushed before you can even do a thing to help her. Come on, Lucy. You're smarter than that. Don't do something so reckless. You've seen Nashi's power yourself. You know she can handle this." Lucy hated that she can't do a thing to help her daughter, but she can see that Gray was right. "Besides..." Gray instantly froze a soldier that was planning to attack them. "We still got these guys to deal with.
"You're right." Lucy said. She hates Ankhselam as much as Nashi does for trying to destroy precious memories, but there's nothing she can really do. She'll just have to trust her daughter. While Nashi was busy fighting Ankhselam on top of Acnologia, everyone else was trying to hold off the soldiers. It made no sense to any of them that those soldiers were still fighting for Ankhselam.
"Argh!" Sasha attacked with a pair of dual swords and knocked a couple soldiers down. One tried to attack her, but she knocked the weapon away and grabbed the soldier. "Tell me something! Why are you and the rest of these soldiers still fighting?! Are you honestly that loyal to Ankhselam?" Sasha was hoping to get an answer, but the soldier just tried to hit her instead of speaking to her. She just tossed him away and noticed the helmet was taken off.
"AAAWWWW!" Sasha was quite surprised at what she saw. The soldier's eyes were completely black from magic.
"His eyes...! He's under some sort of trance!" Sasha said. Simon was fighting a couple soldiers himself. He was able to smash them against each other. When he did, he took off the helmets as well and saw they were in the same trance as well.
"They've all been brainwashed!" Simon said. "That's why they're still fighting after seeing Ankhselam attack his own men, as well as seeing Acnologia's destructive power! They must have been hypnotized to fight to their deaths if they have to. When did it happen?! I remember seeing them act like they were in control of their own minds."
"It must have been recent." Sasha said. "It must have happened when Acnologia was revived, maybe sometime before. Ankhselam has practically thought of every contingency. He made it so his own soldiers don't turn against him"
"Well, hypnotized or not, they have to be taken down." Simon said as he unleashed rays of light and blasted some of them. Everyone was doing everything they could against such a force, but it looks like defeating Ankhselam is the only way to end this war. That means it's all up to Nashi, but that's easier said than done against his mighty power.
"Argh!" Nashi bounced against Acnologia's back from being blown back by Ankhselam, but she was able to grab on and keep fighting. Ankhselam held out his hand and tried blasting her with his dangerous magic, but Nashi unleashed a might breath of fire and was able to block the attacks. Nashi got back at him and tried to land a strike, but he was able to block it. Nashi tried her other fist, but Ankhselam blocked that attack as well.
"Why won't you just give up?!" Ankhselam said as he unleashed some of his magic and pushed her back. "Can't you see that you can't beat me?!"
"You know that I will never give up. That's something I will never do." Nashi said. "You might think you're some sort of god, but you're terror ends today!"
"I should have finished you when I had the chance. A mistake I will now correct." Ankhselam said. He launched another dark blast at her, but Nashi was able to avoid that attack as well. Nashi charged at him to strike him down again, but Ankhselam gathered magic around his hand. The two of them had their attacks collide as they tried to push the other back. As they tried to push the other back, Nashi surprised him as she was able to slip around and grab his arm. She tried to toss him as hard as she could and right off Acnologia, but that didn't happen. Acnologia was able to catch him and allowed him to jump back on there. Ankhselam slammed his palm against Nashi and blasted her with his power as she was knocked back.
"Is that all you got?" Nashi said as she was doing her best to stay strong.
"You can act tough all you want. There's nothing you can do." Ankhselam said. Nashi wasn't beaten just yet. She jumped in the air and tried to attack him above, but he didn't even flinch. "Doesn't she understand those simple attacks aren't going to work against me." Nashi came at him, but he was able to catch her fist again. "Don't you see how pointless it is?"
"Is it?!" Nashi said as she unleashed as much fire power as she could and caused an explosion to go off on Acnologia's back. Ankhselam moved away from the explosion and he was actually perplexed.
"How are you doing that?" Ankhselam questioned. "How is it that you keep getting stronger than the last time I faced you? Even now, you appear stronger than the last time we faced each other. How can that be in such a short amount of time?"
"I guess it's because of what I fight for." Nashi said. "I just get more determined to beat you, and that determination turns into strength."
"Is that so?" Ankhselam taunted. Nashi keeps seeing what she's fighting for. It's to avenge those who have fallen. Her father, her uncle, Drake, and so many others lost their lives because of him. Everything Ankhselam has done makes her want to fight him and defeat him even more, a reason for her to fight even harder. "It frankly doesn't matter! you can delude yourself all you want, but I will be the one to win!" Ankhselam attacked her this time as he swung his arm at her, but she jumped over him and avoided his attack. She unleashed even more of her flames as she blasted them against him, but Ankhselam pushed through the flames. He tried to attack her again, but she was able to block it. When she moved his arm out of the way, she pounded him around with a couple flaming fists. "Enough!" He grabbed her by the arm and tossed her against Acnologia's back. He was about to stomp down on her, but Nashi was able to move out of the way.
"What's the matter? Is the big bad Ankhselam losing his cool?" Nashi mocked. She took some delight in seeing him losing it.
"I think I actually am running out of patience, at least with you, little girl." Ankhselam said. He clapped his hands together and blasted Nashi with a sonic attack. Nashi was doing her best to resist it, but it was an intense one. "There!" Ankhselam used his magic and had it envelop around her. "I will finish you this time!"
"No you won't!" Nashi shouted as she was trying her best to break free. Ankhselam was ready to finish her, but he soon realized something he could do to break her.
"I can't believe I didn't think of this sooner." Ankhselam said as he held off on finish Nashi just for a little bit. He reached over and took her scarf from her.
"Give me that back!" Nashi demanded.
"If I understand correctly, this belonged to Natsu." Ankhselam said. "It was his prized possession, practically his pride and joy. That was until you came into his life. He actually entrusted the likes of this to you."
"Give it back!" Nashi repeatedly demanded.
"With your father gone, this is probably more important to you than ever." Ankhselam said. "I wonder what would happen if I tried to do this." He tried to rip the scarf right in front of her. He took her family, took her friends, destroyed precious memories that belonged to her parents, and now he's trying to do this.
"That's it!" Nashi said as she burst in fire and broke herself free from his magic. The sudden explosion knocked the scarf out of his hands and it fell to the battleground. Nashi reached out for it, but she couldn't grab it. That scarf meant everything to her since her father trusted her with it. She can hopefully get it back, but she won't let Ankhselam keep destroying everything that means so much to her and her family. "That does it, Ankhselam! If it it takes everything I have, I swear I will stop you!"
"Don't you understand? I am invincible!" Ankhselam claimed. "I will crush you just like I did to your father!"
"For what you did to him, and everyone else, I'll never forgive you." Nashi said. "I will avenge him!" Nashi went at him as hard as she could, but Ankhselam blasted her with magic and knocked her back.
"Let's take this somewhere more private while Acnologia finishes your friends!" Ankhselam claimed as he jumped off Acnologia and grabbed Nashi by the face. He threw her as hard as he could and have her crash on the outer edge of the battlefield. As she crashed down, he followed after her. "This will be the last fight you will ever have!" Ankhselam is done messing around and will see to it that Nashi is destroyed. As for Acnologia, Ankhselam let him roam loose on everyone. They were all doing their best to fight off the dragon.
"My turn!" Storm said as he went right at the beast. He jumped in the air and was ready for another attack. "Ice Demon Zero Longsword!" Storm slashed against Acnologia's arm and was hoping that did something. He didn't have high hopes, but he was actually surprised at what he saw. He actually managed to form a cut on Acnologia. "I managed to cut him? How did I do that?" This was certainly strange. How was Storm able to cut him when no one else could even scratch him? It was small, it looked like Acnologia didn't even feel it, but Storm was able to do it. Storm looked around for something out of the ordinary that could explain this. He saw Ankhselam was able to move Nashi away from Acnologia, and the two of them fighting away from everyone else. He also saw how others were having trouble even getting close to Acnologia with him attacking everything. He looked around and found something. "That's it! I think I know how we can win!"
