After a terrible blunder with words and misunderstandings, Amy is convinced Sonic doesn't care about her, and Sonic has no idea how to make it up to her.

Getting advise from Tails, he reluctantly asks Amy on a date, but Tails fears he'll mess up and say something bad again. So to avoid such drama again, Tails has implanted a ear-piece that will allow him to communicate with Sonic on the date, helping him say the right thing or stop him from saying something insulting or rude.

"…So, you really want to say your sorry?" Amy folded her arms, not sure what to think of him anymore after what he previously had said.

"Look, Amy, I understand that you misunderstood-"

Tails 'Ehem'ed and shocked his ear with a friendly warning from his device.

"I mean… that I was in the wrong…" Sonic twitched his head down, not liking the 'shock-collar' effect Tails had installed, and sighed and continued on, looking up as if making sure that's the right thing to say.

Amy raised an eyebrow.

"But I'd like to make it up to you." He scratched behind his head, feeling awkward from all this. 'Why must girls be so… so weird?'

"…I'd love too. Hehe~" Amy giggled, excited to actually have HIM ask her out for once. She put her hands together out in front of her and cutely swayed back and forth, tilting her head down and blushing. "What exactly did you have in mind?" she blinked her eyes.

"…Ummm…" Sonic moved his mouth down to reveal a worried expression as he sweated, "Any ideas..?" he muttered to Tails.

"I'm on it!" Tails skimmed the internet. "Ah! there's an Aquarium in a few cities south of here. Just below the cities amusement park!"

"….How about an Aquarium?" Sonic looked back to her, gesturing his hand into a shrugging offer, but you could see the awkward sweat drop on his face.

He didn't really like the 'aquatic' scene…

And all those tanks full of water, surrounding him, underground?

"Great going Tails.. she loved it.." Sonic mumbled, having Amy leap into embracing him as his hands dropped to his side, just allowing her to keep pushing herself to hug him more and more.

Tails awkwardly chuckled, pitying his friend a bit. "This is kinda all your fault, you know.."

The two arrive in the Aquarium as Amy happily takes in all the sights and colorful fish, having her arm tightly around his, as he just looks around and takes it all in too. He seems pretty chill.

"Oh, Sonic! Isn't this all just so… so… ohhh~ Exciting?!" Amy snuggled up against him as he cringed back a bit.

"Uhhh…" he was so uncomfortable, but he just looked ahead of him as if annoyed slightly, "Just a bunch of fish bowls if you ask- Ikk!" he felt a zap on his ear and twitched. "I mean, yeah. Pretty." he faked a smile.

The two walked around as Tails settled back, kicking his legs up and putting his arms behind his head and leaning the chair back. "Ah, that's better. Now all he has to do is let her have fun and he'll be off the hook. Haha, off the hook! Haha!" he kicked his legs before his foot accidentally kicked the key on his computer to shock Sonic.

Sonic felt the shock and looked confused, "What did I do now, buddy?" he asked, but heard no reply, since Tails wasn't clicking the button that allowed him to hear.

He looked to see Amy up against the glass, before looking back to him and smiling, excited to see the pretty fish swimming around in their enclosures. He thought Tails must of wanted him to join her, and pushed his face up to the glass.

Amy looked at him like he was being silly, shoving his face so close to the glass, and laughed. "Oh, Sonic. Teehee~"

Sonic blinked his eyes with an innocent open mouth as he tried to understand how being closer to the glass made anything, like your point of view, different.

A little fish swam up and seemed to knock against the glass, as Sonic moved back, a bit creeped out, as Amy 'aww'd. "It kissed you!" she swooned.

"Oh great… I have fans in the sea too?" he rolled his eyes, as Amy nodded.

"I'm sure you have fans all over the world, Sonic. Like in space!" she spread her arms out and up, lifting a leg up too.

"Eh, does that mean they'll all be like you?" he closed his eyes and tilted his head down, putting his pinkie finger in his ear to scratch it, as Tails heard that scrambled up, worry tears around his face, as he quickly spoke back.

"SONIC! That's mean! That'll give her the wrong impression!" He cried out.

"Huh?" Sonic looked up, "What do you mean…Ee!" he jolted when he saw the flames around Amy's body, and her fists twitching at her sides, her eyes shadows before suddenly glowing a bright eye-twinkle.

"And just what exactly are you trying to say… Sonic?"

"Uhh… heh, Tails?" he looked up, freaking out about her getting mad.

"Amy, I meant that in the highest flattery."

"Amy, I meant that in the highest flattery." Sonic held his hands out, sweat dropping as he just mimicked Tails's words.

Tails closed his eyes and held a hand to his heart. "I treasure our friendship and the bonds we've made over the years. You may have been a fan when we met, but I know you to be a lot more than just that now. If any of my fans are like you, I'd be honored. You're loyalty and dedication to sticking with me has always made me admire you. Please don't take that the wrong way,… I never meant to hurt you. Can you forgive me?" he opened his eyes with a wink, and pointed his finger out.

"….Uhhh… I value our friendship and I didn't mean to hurt you?" Sonic squinted his eyes, and turned his head, ready to flinch and dodge any hammer attacks that may come.

"F-F-FRIENDSHIP!? This was meant to be a DATE! Friends don't go on dates, you jerk!" she swung her hammer up.

"..!" Sonic quickly high-tailed it out of there as Tails stared blankly on the screen in front of him, and face-palmed himself. "Thanks a lot, Tails!" Sonic cried out, running from a hysterical Amy.

"ME?! I said everything RIGHT." Tails hollered back. "YOOOOUR the one that messed it up, not me!"
