Chapter 267
.
Note: Father Lucci is from the movie "the seventh sign." Loki is from the Kevin Smith movie "Dogma."
.
After hearing Jack Bauer's theory the Ambassador decided to speak with father Lucci again. It was not easy to contact him, but eventually he came with his new "friend" Loki.
.
Lucci: You wished to speak with us?
Ambassador: Yes, I take it you two know about this new plague.
Loki: Yeah, we thought Evil created this thing in Hell.
Ambassador: My new friend Jack Bauer has a different theory. Have either of you heard of reverand Adam?
Loki: Yeah, he's this fanatic who wants to "save" children and good people, by murdering them. I believe Jack Bauer killed him.
Lucci: I thought he was from the "Slouching towards Bethlehem" world.
Ambassador: Jack Bauer killed one version of him, there might have also been another version in that other world. At any rate, Bauer thinks that he and his followers might have created this current plague.
Loki: Makes sense, I served God once, and she had similar ideas for the ten plagues. Kill the first born so that they don't become corrupted by a society that condones slavery and human sacrifice. At least that was how she justified it to me.
Lucci; His way seemed to be to make sure children and good people aren't corrupted, this would explain why this seems to only kill good people.
Ambassador: And why the SBA seems immune, even though they are proud to disregard masks and social distancing. I thought that they's somehow vaccinated themselves, despite their attacks on vaccinations.
Lucci: There is something else, we believe that in the final battle, there will be no neutral civilians left.
Ambassador: But we have heroes trapped in Hell, Evil has it's operatives here on Earth.
Lucci: It is possible there will be a "retrieval" shortly before the final battle.
Ambassador: I don't understand.
Lucci: As best we can tell, by this point there will be three groups. The heroes who were not good enough to get into Heaven, the villains who willingly chose Evil, and the lost souls. Heroes in Hell will dissapear, return to Earth. Those who don't make the cut for Heaven, they return to Hell. If they haven't already pledged allegiance to Evil, they will have a final choice. Those who still refuse Evil will be suffering in Hell, at least until the final battle.
Ambassador: Then, if memory serves, comes to final battle. If we win, then those souls all die. They go to the waiting place to be reborn in the new world. Those who chose Evil are in the back of the line, those who were more neutral are closer to the front of the line.
Lucci: That's if we win. In which case those who die in the final battle go to Heaven. Those who survive, it will be up to them to repopulate the world. Which ironically gives their former foes another chance. I honestly don't know if I'll make the cut, I wouldn't mind living out one last life when I know there's an end in sight. Even if I get called to Hell, I'll refuse to serve Evil. If I get reborn, at least I'll be free of this life.
Loki: That's if Good wins the final battle. Remind me what happens if Evil wins.
Lucci: Then those souls remain trapped in a world where it would be difficult or impossible to do much good, let alone get into Heaven. For all intents and purposes, they'd be suffering for all eternity.
