Opening File: Basil Lancaster

Basil Lancaster was a friend and mentor of Doc Saturday as a child. He, along with Dr. Lee and three other unnamed scientists, worked on a machine that could create cryptids in the Honey Island swamp facility However, the project went out of control as the cryptids were mutated humans. He knew his conscience was wrong and it took too long to listen. Dr. Basil Lancaster betrayed Dr. Lee by destroying enough of their research to cripple the project, saved the cryptids, and fled to the bayou.

As the 13 cryptids went into hiding, he left Honey Island and will know that the cryptids will destroy the project and the machine that created the creatures. However, as years passed, Lancaster passed away. He did leave Doc a message to reveal what Honey Island was really about.

Opening File: Solomon 'Doc' Saturday

Solomon 'Doc' Saturday is a member of the Secret Scientists, the father of Zak and husband to Drew, and is the adoptive father of Zon, Fiskerton, and Komodo. Doc grew up in a small town in Lousiana, where he was introduced to cryptids by his work assisting Dr. Basil Lancaster. Even as a young boy, he was fascinated with science, including building his own computer and eagerly studying cryptids. His parents are never mentioned. It can be assumed that they died sometime while Doc was still fairly young.

Out of college with a degree in cryptozoology, Doc met another cryptozoologist, Drew, who he later married and fathered a child with, Zak. While Drew was pregnant, the two spearheaded an archeological dig in the ruins of ancient Sumer, where they unknowingly dug up the Kur Stone. When it is later stolen by Argost, Doc and Drew front an invasion on Weird World in order to retrieve it. They succeeded at the cost of forty-three people's lives, which Doc has never forgiven himself for.

With the Kur Stone safely retrieved, Doc and Drew divided it into three parts to keep it separated. They buried their piece along the Amazon river and forgot about it for eleven years, turning their attention to their newborn son. Even at a young age, Zak was going with his parents for work purposes, traveling the world with them in the airship. His enthusiasm was one of the main reasons why Doc and Drew eventually adopted Fiskerton, whom they initially only intended to rescue and relocate.

After adopting Fisk, he and Zak are playing around near the Judaculla rocks in the Smoky Mountains when they accidentally destroyed them. The site's protector, the hunter Tsul 'Kalu, pinned the blame for the tragedy on Zak. Doc held him off while the rest of the family ran to the airship. They get away from Tsul 'Kalu, temporarily. A few days later, Doc is woken from a restless nap by a bad feeling in his gut and goes to check on Zak's room.

He found Zak still asleep in bed but was attacked by Tsul 'Kalu when Doc realized that he was watching. To protect his son, Doc challenged Tsul 'Kalu to a fight, saying that Zak is his son and, therefore, his responsibility. Tsul 'Kalu accepted. The fight was brutal, confirmed by Doc to be the 'hardest battle' he's ever fought.

In the end, Doc won, but took a nasty hit to the face by the Hand of Tsul 'Kalu, blinding his right eye and leaving a scar that runs up to his hairline. Tsul 'Kalu accepts defeat and gifted Doc the Hand as well as his life, before leaving. At some point, Doc became enemies with Van Rook and they came to blows frequently.

"Honor, ethics, morals, the difference between right and wrong. We all have our own ideals of what these might be while some discard them without a second thought for greed and power. We all choose our paths and with it we choose the benefits and consequences of the paths we choose." TOM said as the file closed.

"So are we taking her in now?"

Doc Saturday observed the gardens, seeing Huntress Wizard(whom was given that name by Zak) looking over the flowers. After the mess with Kumari Kandem the Saturdays had brought their new…guest home with them so she could recover from being hit by a Cortex Disruptor.

"Doc?"

Shaking his head, Doc Saturday looked at his wife. "Yeah?"

"Don't start spacing out on me, Doc. I was asking if we're taking in the daughter to Tsul 'Kalu now." Drew stated, crossing her arms. "You do remember her father, right?"

Doc sighed and walked out onto the garden, carefully approaching Huntress Wizard as she watched a butterfly land on the tip of her index finger. "…You seem to have recovered quickly."

"Healing fast is a benefit of mine." Huntress Wizard replied cordially, watching the butterfly fly off. "You are bothered by me being here, aren't you?"

Well, Doc could see she wasn't one to beat around the bush. "Yes. I thought we had solved our matter with Tsul 'Kalu years ago."

"I am not here for him. I have my own desires and reasons for seeking the boy who has the hand. I am not bound by his wishes or honor." Huntress Wizard replied as she looked across the garden. "I follow my own path."

"Then…he does not know you are here?" Doc asked slowly.

"I have not seen or spoken to him in years." Huntress Wizard said, her voice cold and detached. "Speak no more of him or I will speak no more to you."

Doc wasn't sure if there were some family issues or not but best not pry. "And my son? Why are you following us?"

"You seek Kur." Huntress Wizard glanced over her shoulder. "You, Argost and the rest of your…scientists. You dug up the Kur Stone and that folly sent everything into motion for his return."

"We are trying to find Kur before Argost does. If Argost finds it first the world is in danger." Doc explained.

"The world was in danger the moment you dug up that stone. It and Kur should have stayed buried where they belong." Huntress Wizard calmly rebuked. "Curiosity kills more than one animal, scientist."

"Dad!" Zak's voice called out over the intercom. "You got to come up here! Something's on the screen!"

Glancing at Huntress Wizard for one last time, Doc left her in the garden as she held out her hand, watching as the butterfly came back. He walked into the main control room, seeing static on the main computer.

"H-help."

"It sounds like a distress call." Zak said as his father walked up.

"Anyone we know?" Doc asked.

A face appeared on the screen. "Sol-Solomon…A-aturday. "

"Dad…" Zak looked at his father. "Does this guy know you?"

"It's Basil Lancaster, a friend of my father's. A scientist. But that's not-" Doc trailed off as the message continued.

"…Honey Island. The answer…Finish it, Solomon." The message said before ending and leaving static behind.

"He wants you to finish Honey Island?" Zak asked.

"Honey Island, Louisiana. It's where he used to live, where I helped him with his work." Doc said solemnly.

"Used to live?" Zak turned to his father. "So where does he live now?"

"He doesn't." Doc answered. "Basil Lancaster died more than twenty five years ago."

Back in the garden, Huntress Wizard closed her eyes and sighed. "Curiosity does kill more than one animal."

As soon as she left the Mystery Shack she rushed out to the Northwest Mansion, only to find it left in ruins. With the mansion destroyed she tried out the woods, looking for all the little hiding spots her sister liked to have when she was growing up.

"Nyx! Nyx! Nyx, where are you?!"

She didn't stop searching for days.

She only came back into town to load up on food and water and then she was back out in the woods, looking for her missing sister.

"Nyx, please!"

Then the snow came.

Suddenly her search lasted much longer and she was outside for so long her body was becoming thinner; she was starting to get sick and getting frostbite.

"Nyx!"

But she wouldn't stop searching.

"NYX!"

Then one day she fell.

The ground beneath her suddenly broke apart and she fell.

It felt like she fell forever.

She hit the ground, hard.

"Well, well, well. What do we have here?"

She looked up, seeing an amused pair of glowing purple eyes.

"Guess we should clean up. We're having family as guests tonight."

"Beetlemon!" Daffy Duck shouted and looked at ChaosPiedmon with an angry glare. "Why you-GAH!"

ChaosPiedmon blasted Daffy away with a single ecto-blast before turning to the downed Beetlemon. "Now to end you and then I'll go after the others."

Daffy grunted as he got to his knee, watching as ChaosPiedmon approached Beetlemon to finish him off. "Hey! Get away from him!"

There was no way Daffy was going to let this psycho clown kill the beetle kid. Daffy was greedy but he was not a coward or someone who people condoned killing those who were defenseless.

"I said," Daffy picked up his shovel and charged right at ChaosPiedmon who ignored him and summoned a whip of purple energy to finish off Beetlemon. "GET AWAY FROM HIM!"

"Ending Snipe!" ChaosPiedmon called out as he swung his whip to end both the Legendary Warrior and the bothersome duck.

But just as he did a green light shot down from the sky and reached Daffy as the whip was swung, creating a blinding green light as it slipped onto his finger.

Daffy Duck of Earth. You have the ability to overcome great fear. Welcome to the Green Lantern Corps.

ChaosPiedmon watched as the duck Mobian was covered in a green aura and wore a black and green body suit with a lantern symbol on it.

Daffy felt a great power surge through his body as he held up his new ring and created a giant green holographic fist that actually looked and felt solid. "Whoa! This is neat!"

He stopped and looked ChaosPiedmon who was still near the downed Beetlemon. "I said…GET AWAY FROM HIM!"

He then swung the fist at ChaosPiedmon, slamming into the Ghost/Digimon hybrid. ChaosPiedmon grunted as he slammed into the ground, growling as he slowly got back up and glared at the duck Mobian.

"You'll pay for that!" ChaosPiedmon shouted, holding out his hand.

A ghost blast fired and Daffy quickly conjured a green shield that blocked the blast. Daffy then conjured an energy rope to grab his opponent but ChaosPiedmon split his torso and arms apart.

"Well, that's new." Daffy commented.

ChaosPiedmon laughed his arms shot at Daffy with swords in their hands. Daffy conjured a shield with his new ring that blocked the swords.

"WHAT?!" The evil Digimon grunted, seeing his swords unable to pierce the shield.

"Okay, I am liking this ring!" Daffy grinned as he conjured a giant fly swatter and then slammed it down on ChaosPiedmon who let out a muffled scream of pain.

He lifted the fly swatter up, watching as ChaosPiedmon slowly rose up with blazing eyes. "That actually…hurt."

"Good. I got plenty more." Daffy retorted and fired another blast at the ghost clown.

ChaosPiedmon split himself apart to avoid being hit and the bottom part being his legs quickly kicked Daffy in the gut while the upper part which was his torso, arms and head punched Daffy in the face before reconnecting.

"Give it up. Can't you see you're outclassed?" ChaosPiedmon grinned.

"Lightning Blitz!"

A lightning blast hit ChaosPiedmon from behind, causing him to scream in agony. Beetlemon had managed to recover somewhat and was back in the fight, assisting Daffy in any way he could. Daffy conjured another glowing fist and slugged it in ChaosPiedmon's face, sending him crashing through multiple cars until he was on the other side of the parking lot.

"Oh great! All that insurance is coming out of my pocket!" Daffy groaned, realizing what he had done.

Leave it Daffy to never forget the finer details in live.

ChaosPiedmon growled as he slowly got back up. "You…"

He couldn't believe he was having trouble with a duck of all things.

Mobian Duck, sure but a duck nonetheless.

"Nice try but can you do this." ChaosPiedmon asked before splitting into eight copies of himself.

"…You have got to be kidding me." Daffy groaned.

He flew into the air with four of the Piedmons following him while the other four flew at Beetlemon who took off running.

"That's right, run!" ChaosPiedmon laughed. "I'm the Clown Ghost of Evil! The Jack of the Undead! The Spectral Ace of Darkness! I am ChaosPiedmon and this entire world will learn to fear me!"

Just as he was about to go on a rampage a portal appeared in front of him and he frowned, knowing what it meant.

Van Kleiss was calling him back.

Normally he'd take the chance to run but the nanites infesting him could still kill him and he needed a way to get rid of them.

Then he would use the very powers he had been given to torture and kill the very man who had enslaved him.

'Fine, Van Kleiss. I'll play your little game for now. But I'll find a way to bring myself back to the top.'

Xxx

Van Kleiss frowned at seeing Daffy Duck get a new power ring that allowed him to go toe to toe with ChaosPiedmon despite his ghost powers.

This needed investigating.

It was, however, amusing to see ChaosPiedmon think he'd be able to fool him into thinking he was obedient only to stab him in the back when he wasn't looking.

'Don't count on it, Piedmon.' Van Kleiss thought as the Dark Master returned.

It mattered little if him or any of the others hated their new benefactor.

All that mattered was they serve their purpose.

Then he would dispose of them.

Daffy was panting as he landed on the ground near Beetlemon. "You all right?"

"Yeah…" Beetlemon groaned. "I guess I'll live…So what's with the new get up?"

Daffy held up the ring and stared at it. "No clue."

The ring began to glow and suddenly in image was projected from it, showing a big alien wearing an outfit like Daffy's. "I am Kilowog, a member of the Green Lantern Corps and if you are reading this message then so are you."

Daffy Duck and Beetlemon stared at the image, wondering what they did to deserve such a crazy day.

Everything was in total darkness, until a groan of a woman could be heard. As she opened her eyes and looked around with a drowsy expression. Everything was blurry as she was still coming to.

"Ugh... What... What happened? I think there was an explosion? And I crawled away? Ugh... Where am I?" Tambry as she looked up and around.

To her surprise, she was in a cage with bars surrounding her. As she continued to look, she saw that she was in some kind of underground chamber. As she tried to move, she found that she was restrained by chains. As she tried to look behind her, she could only very barely and briefly she what was restraining her. Tambry was on her knees with her arms restrained behind her back with chains that were wrapped around her arms, with the end of the chains attached to the top of the cage.

Her head and chest were also restrained by chains with a metal collar around her neck, chaining her to the ground and heavy duty cuffs around her wrists.

As Tambry woke up, she struggled and growled.

"Ugh! UGH! WHAT IS THIS!? WHERE AM I!?" Tambry shouted as she struggled angrily, until she heard a voice.

"It's no use." Said the voice of a woman as Tambry turned her head to see a woman with long purple hair sitting there with her legs crossed and a sharp knife out, as she was sharpening it with a stone.

Tambry's eyes widened. "…Nyx?"

"That cage, cuffs, collar, and chains are all made out of the strongest metal found here. Struggle all you want, you're not getting out of those chains." Nyx said amusedly as she continued to sharpen her knife.

"Nyx, it's me! Tambry, your sister!" Tambry cried out.

Nyx stopped sharpening her knife, letting a moment pass before looking at Tambry. "So?"

Tambry could only gap at her. "So?"

"Yeah, so? In case you were not told, I am not much for family. I'm a Lady of Chaos now, not the weak mortal girl you shared blood with." Nyx said as she started to sharpen her knife again. "Well, not that I have blood anymore."

Tambry looked heartbroken. "Nyx, what happened to you?"

"I died; or rather old weak Nyx died and was reborn as myself." Nyx replied as she continued to sharpen her blade. "Nyx Kane was a foolish little girl, indeed. She spent her entire childhood pining for mommy's love and what did it get her? Enslavement to a psycho disguised as a little boy, magically bound to him until the day she died and thus was born me, Nyx. Just Nyx, Lady of Chaos. No pain, no weakness and certainly none of that sentimental drivel."

Tambry's eyes began to water. "Nyx…"

"That's my name." Nyx said as she stood up and walked over to Tambry's cage. "At least you can remember that part of me."

She crouched down on one knee to look Tambry in the eye. "You really cared for her, didn't you?"

"I still care for you." Tambry answered tearfully.

Nyx grinned. "Well, what say we have a little sisterly bonding moment?"

Nyx snapped her fingers and the wall behind her burned away in a blaze of purple fire. When it was cleared away, Tambry saw another woman in a cage like her, chained up and gagged as well. "…Mom?"

It was indeed Lana Kane.

Nearby Pericles who had been keeping watch on Lana flew over to his mistress and landed on her shoulder.

"Oh, so you remember her." Nyx said as she stood up and approached the other cage twirling her knife in between her fingers while looking down at the captive Lana, with Pericles wearing a dark smile while perched on his mistress shoulder. "I'll admit to feeling a bit torn here after all on one hand your abandonment ultimately cost my weak mortal self her freedom. But on the other since everything can be traced back to you than that means I have to thank you, because if you hadn't dumped me and Tam's here in this town I might not have become the fabulous Lady of Chaos I am today."

Lana stared in complete and utter fear of the woman before her.

This woman couldn't be daughter.

It was impossible.

And yet…

She somehow knew it was true.

This was her youngest daughter, all grown up somehow.

Nyx chuckled. "But sadly for you I'm leaning toward the negative side, I mean I don't have any of my emotional attachments from my mortal life anymore good or bad really. But my mortal self must have really hated you because I just can't stand the sight of you."

Lana seemed to be heartbroken by what Nyx was saying.

Tambry wasn't sure how to feel about that.

On the one hand she was their mother and on the other hand she dumped them in Gravity Falls, never came to see them, never called or wrote to them even on their birthdays and never even checked in with their guardians.

Nyx tapped the knife against her cheek with a dark smile forming. "However it occurs to me that it just wouldn't be fair or appropriate if I'm the one to kill you. After all I lack the extent of hatred and resentment my weaker self had for you, so it'd be more like settling a debt with someone you barely know."

Lana tried to say something but the ball gag kept her from speaking.

"Please, don't talk with your mouth full. At least pretend we got some form of manners from you. Not that it would mean much." Nyx chuckled to herself and her next words cause Lana to look away in shame. "Then again mortal or Lady of Chaos I've never known you have I?"

That seemed to cause Lana to feel shame but it mattered little to Nyx. Tambry wasn't entirely sure what was going on here.

Her mother was here?

Did Nyx bring her here?

Nyx's dark smirk widened. "But I digress it just feels more fitting that someone else with a score to settle and more personal feelings behind is the one to end you."

She turned to Tambry whose eyes widened in shock at her words and gaze as she's released. The cage opened and the chains broke apart, freeing her.

Pericles chuckled. "Oh a brilliant choice and idea. After all dear Tambry deserves her piece of vengeance as well."

Nyx dramatically gestured and called out. "Tambry Kane come on down."

Suddenly Tambry was lifted with purple energy and went zooming over to Nyx and stopped before her and Lana.

Nyx dropped her knife into the shocked Tambry's hands. "Go ahead. Take our revenge out on the woman who bore and abandoned us. You know you want to."

"Wha-what?!" Tambry gaped.

"You know her; you know what she's done to us." Nyx's long hair twirled around Tambry. "How many nights did you spend cursing her, especially on birthdays she couldn't be bothered to come to or even send a lousy gift? How much did it really anger you enough that you swore the moment you saw you'd tell her take her 'saving the world' cause and shove it up her…well, since I am the little sister I think I'll let you recall what you said. So tell me, big sis…"

Nyx leaned and whispered into Tambry's ear. "How much do you want to avenge us?"
