Opening File: Sticks' Boomerang

Sticks' typical weapon is her Boomerang which is fashioned like a typical Australian Boomerang but it actually has some form of supernatural properties. This Boomerang appeared in the Peach Creek Cul-De-Sac some time ago which unexpected results. Whoever gains physical contact with it long enough will have their personality reversed after some twiching spasms.

The Kids changed to:

· Ed: becomes a stoic genius.

· Edd: becomes a casual, laid-back stereotype and a (shameless) nudist.

· Eddy: becomes a mother to a suitcase dubbed 'Casey Jr.'

· Sarah: turns into a kind-hearted child.

· Rolf: becomes an Opera singer (strangely, he was aware what he was doing and was really singing involuntarily).

· Jimmy: becomes a 'tough guy.'

This Boomerang was known to travel all around the world until Sticks captured it and tamed its magical properties.

How she did it is still unknown.

Regardless she uses it to deadly effect, relying on its magic to disorientate the wills of her opponents, allowing her to take them down easily. She's taken it to many people who specialize in magic for enchanting and enhancing its abilities, allowing to not only reverse personalities but also able to reverse and break the magical flow of certain beings and powers. Sticks had this done to make sure she was ready for anything.

Even encounters with deadly entities of chaos.

Opening File: Shirley the Medium

Shirley the Medium is a Chihuahua Mobian fortune teller whose primary pastime is casting curses on those who defy morality. She despises the greedy, the wrathful and the inhospitable, and subjects them to spells that only repair when their sins are reversed. Ironically, she is very fond of money; charging heavy fees on clients and selling herself on TV are some of the ways she obtains it. This is probably because she is actually poor as shown of her living in the outskirts of Nowhere in her gypsy wagon.

Shirley's earliest known curse was brought upon famous pianist Velvet Vic, confining him within his own record. The spell enabled him to escape only when the album was played, however she buried it deep inside a chest, removing that possibility. Her services as a spiritualist are advertised on the Channeling Channel. It is in this way that she was found by Muriel and Eustace seeking to communicate with his deceased brother Horst, after warning him of the consequences of contacting.

When she offered her service to Eustace and Muriel after being called to contact Eustace's dead brother, she warned them both, "if you contact the dead for personal gain, there will be tragic consequences!"

"Buildings, statues, boats, drawings. All of them manmade but they all have something else in common. They have the ability to become symbols and symbols themselves are given power by the very people who know of them. At the very same time, the act of destroying these symbols is equal in power and can have great effect in the right environment." TOM remarked as the file closed. "Never underestimate the power of a symbol."

"Go on." Nyx encouraged Tambry to take the knife and stab their mother to death. "Show me how much you love me."

Tambry was trembling now as she stood over Lana with the knife held over her.

"Remember now, you either do it or you can just stay here with Mommy and spend time bonding with her." Nyx whispered into Tambry's ear. "I'm a busy girl so make up your mind, fast."

WHACK!

Tambry cried out as the knife was knocked out of her hand by a boomerang. Nyx scowled as she watched it fly into the hands of a badger Mobian.

"Am I late?" Sticks the Badger asked, ready to throw her boomerang again.

Nyx scoffed and then smiled as she turned and faced the Mobian. "Well, lookie here. A lost badger with a wooden toy."

"Who are you calling a toy?!" The badger Mobian growled, holding up her Boomerang. "And it ain't lost either!"

Nyx sweat-dropped a bit the Mobian's reply."…A bit slow on the uptake aren't you?"

The badger Mobian let out a battle cry as she flung the Boomerang right at Nyx who calmly and somewhat lazily created a simple barrier to block. "Please, like that toy is going to do much to harm-"

SMASH!

Nyx's eyes widened when the Boomerang did not rebound or break against her barrier.

Instead it shattered through her barrier!

"Wha-?!" Nyx barely had the chance to utter as the Boomerang smashed through her body next.

"NYX!" Pericles shouted, seeing his mistress' body get cleaved in two by the Boomerang.

Tambry collapsed in utter shock from seeing the body of what used to be her sister get broken in two, the lower half being her legs and her hands dissolving into dust that frantically blew around the remaining upper half that was her head, upper torso and remaining portion of her arms. The Boomerang was now glowing as it spun back around and crashed through Nyx's head.

"GAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!" Nyx screamed, half of her face destroyed as the weapon flew back into its owner's hands. 'What is happening?! I can't regenerate! My power!'

Sticks held up the Boomerang. "This is no ordinary Boomerang. It's a magical one that I've had modified to shatter magical energy on impact. Not even a chaos being can recover instantly when it hits."

Nyx's remaining eye widened in shock. "Shatter magical energy?!"

That explained it now!

That damn wooden weapon shattered the magical energy that formed her body and left her in this pitiful state!

'I can't regenerate as I am now! I'm a mass of magical energy and that magic has been broken and scattered!' Nyx realized in horror. 'It'll take forever for me to put myself back together.'

This was a nightmare to any magical being who encountered a weapon that could disrupt their magic at this kind of level. As a Lady of Chaos Nyx's entire body was formed from magical energy, giving her a physical body the mimicked a human body and allowed her to regenerate from any kind of wounds. However if she was hit by a weapon that could shattered magical energy her form could be heavily damaged. Energy could not be destroyed but it could be scattered and with Nyx's magical power scattered she was unable to instantly regenerate like she normally could.

"So, tough lady. How about we talk about what you're doing with the Princess and her daughter?" Sticks took a step forward. "And if you're really nice I won't use this break you apart into little tiny pieces."

"Damn you…" Nyx's remaining eye glowed bright purple, highlighting her rage as she focused her power on her familiar. "Don't underestimate me, you damn little badger! Pericles, make shoes out of her!"

Pericles' eyes glowed as he grew, taking a more humanoid and muscular form with his wings changing into arms with sharp clawed hands. The familiar let out a loud screech as he charged at Sticks, using his Semblance to disrupt her senses.

'You can't defend against what you can't see, smell, or hear!' He reared his fist back. 'Now die!'

To his shock, Sticks dodged the fist and leapt up, slamming her knee into Pericles' chin. The familiar staggered back in a slight daze as Sticks went on the attack, delivering a series of elbows, punches and kicks to his body.

Pericles grunted as he fell to his knees. "How did…How did you break through my Semblance? I should have disrupted all your senses."

"You can't brainwash me. I've worked to shield my brain from all evil thoughts!" Sticks replied.

While not exactly the answer he was looking for it was enough for him to figure out that Sticks had somehow trained herself to see through mind manipulation Semblances like his.

Nyx grunted, still unable to completely pull herself together aside from her head. 'Damn it! How could I not see this coming?!'

The crazy badger was making a fool out of her and Pericles!

Sticks turned and faced her, ready to continue fighting while she was just a mere head floating in a cloud of dusts that had once been her body.

"You'll pay for this." Nyx vowed, glaring hatefully at Sticks before vanishing into a purple glowing vortex with Pericles following. "You'll pay!"

Sticks watched as the Chaos Lady and her familiar vanished before turning to Tambry and Lana. "Your majesty…Or ex-majesty, you really need to stop running off like that. Your parents already warned you about trying to skip out on bringing the girls home."

"Majesty?" Tambry asked, watching as Sticks walked over and started cutting Lana's bonds. "Why do you call her that? She a queen or something?"

"Ex-Princess actually, from the island of Mitimotu." Sticks asked, cutting Lana's arms free. "Lana here is actually Princess Lanaluakalani, daughter of the Chief and Queen."

Tambry's eyes widened as she looked at her mother. "You're a princess?! And your parents are alive?!"

Lana flinched at that. "Well…"

"Alive and kicking and so is your dad." Sticks cut in, ignoring the look Lana was giving her. "Boy were they not happy to hear she lied to them. That's why we're here now. They sent us to bring you and your sister back to finally meet you and make up for the years they could have had if mommy dearest didn't lie in the first place."

"Dad's alive too?! You told us he was dead!" Tambry narrowed her eyes, glaring darkly at her mother. "What else have you been lying to us about?"

"Like the fact she was a Satyra agent?" Sticks offered.

"Sticks!" Lana shouted, angered at the Mobian's blabber mouth.

"You're a Satyra agent!?" Tambry shouted, feeling both shocked and angered by this revelation. "You left us behind to go be a terrorist?!"

"No, it wasn't like that! I was trying to make the world a safer place for us." Lana shook her head. "They just want equalit-"

SMACK!

"Ouch!" Lana cried after Sticks smacked her across the face.

"Stop taking whatever animal droppings they've been giving you and get it through your head!" Sticks snapped. "Satyra don't care about equality!"

Lana was about to argue but both stopped when they heard Tambry laughing suddenly and looked at her as she stared at the ground with big demented smile. "So let me get this straight. You not only neglected us for year and for fucking Satyra it turns out!?" She looked up and stared at Lana with a furious face. "But you also lied as well and everything that's happened to me and Nyx could have been avoided if you told our grandparents about us!"

Lana crawled back a bit, surprised by the angered look on her daughter's face.

This was not the reunion she had imagined.

In the wake of snow falling in the middle of Summer there wasn't much to do in a farmhouse in the middle of Nowhere.

Still, Courage found the time to dig up the front yard but it wasn't for the usual dog reason.

He was trying to find something that was very precious to him.

Was it a strange box?

No but it's what he found anyways.

Weird.

He grabbed it in his mouth and took it back into the farmhouse.

Alexis was at the door when he got there. "Hey, Courage. What have you got?"

He dropped the box for her to pick up and brought it her father. "Dad, Courage found this in the yard. You recognize it?"

Eustace took one look at it and gasped. "I don't believe it! He buried it right out in the yard, right under my nose?!"

"Say what?" Alexis asked as her father took the box. "What is this box?"

"Money, my good nothing brother and your good for nothing uncle's money." Eustace said as he stood up from his chair and took the box into the next room.

"Uncle Horst's money?" Alexis gasped. "He really left something behind?"

"Left something? If he buried it then he never wanted us to find it." Eustace said, grabbing his tool box, taking a screwdriver out.

Alexis had to agree with him on that. "So he just left it buried there? Not even willing to give it to Grandma?"

"Ha! Horst and Ma may have liked each other but they always liked money more." Eustace grunted, trying to force open the box.

Raven floated down into the room, stopping when she saw the box. "What is that?"

"Supposedly it's the box holding all my dead uncle's money." Alexis said, earning a look from Raven. "Smaller than you thought it'd be huh?"

Raven looked at the box, sensing something wrong. "You sure it just holds money?"

"Supposedly." Alexis shrugged, hearing her father grunt as the screwdriver broke. "Something the matter?"

"I just feel something wrong with that box." Raven answered. "Something is not right."

"Darn right, something's wrong." Eustace grunted. "What did Horst make this thing with? Looks like nothing will open this but the key. Did Courage find anything else in that hole?"

"No but I doubt Uncle Horst would have buried the key close to a box he never wanted open." Alexis replied.

"Yeah, true." Eustace grumbled as he took the box back into the living room.

Raven looked at Alexis who looked back. "Something wrong?"

"I don't know." Raven sighed, knowing she was potentially stepping on some very personal business.

Eustace wanted to give Alexis an inheritance which was part of why he was doing this but she wasn't sure about what was in that box.

"Hey, Raven!"

The girl blinked at her voice being called by Eustace in the other room. She and Alexis walked into the room, seeing a commercial about someone named Shirley the Medium.

"You ever know someone who can talk to the dead?" Eustace asked.

"…Depends." Raven answered, now a little more hesitant. "Why?"

"Calling in a spirit medium named Shirley. Maybe she can hook me up with my rotten brother and we can settle this." Eustace said, picking up the phone.

Alexis looked at her mother. "Talking to the dead?"

"It is his birthday. Perhaps your father and uncle can finally settle their differences." Muriel answered. "What about you, Raven?"

"I'm not really into that kind of stuff." Raven said, having never had a reason to even try. "Besides I'm not comfortable with this."

"Me neither but you try stopping my dad." Alexis said but even Raven knew better.

Nothing could change Eustace Bagge's mind the moment he made it up.

"I can't believe this!"

Pericles watched with a saddened face at the state his mistress was in. With her magical power scattered and broken by Sticks she was, as of the moment unable to fully regenerate herself. She was just a head and neck floating in a cloud of ash inside a purple glowing barrier with her hair moving around her head like a viper.

"Damn her!" Purple electricity flashed inside the barrier. "I'll skin her alive for this! Her and my so-called sister for not having the spine to actually do something right in her life for once!"

"Perhaps you are being a little harsh on dear, Tambry." Pericles said calmly.

Nyx arched a brow at her familiar, her eyes still glowing. "If I didn't know better Pericles I would think you're speaking out of concern for Tams."

Pericles looked at Nyx in her eyes, keeping his tone and posture calm and nonchalant. "Perhaps I am after all, my dear mistress discounting the time on your end you spent away in that temporary exile, I have been with you for almost 5 years now, have I not?"

Nyx nodded with a slights smirk. "That you have, which reminds me the anniversary of when we met is almost here." She let off a short little chuckle. "So I suppose I'll have do some gift shopping and make sure we celebrate it properly~"

Pericles chuckled. "I look forward to it but every day spent with you is a gift in itself my dear mistress. But back on topic I have spent soon to be five years with you, and in that time I as we both know I grew close to a cunning mischievous little girl who would become the magnificent Lady of Chaos that stands before us. But at the same time I suppose a part of me also couldn't help but also grow shall we say a bit fond of the older sibling who worked so hard and sacrificed so much including quite a bit of her own childhood to raise and give her little sister a good life."

Pericles tone began to carry a hint of anger and disgust. "Not to mention shelter and shield her little sister the best she could from neglect and abuse they suffered at the hands of unfitting guardians, even if it meant taking the brunt of the latter especially."

Pericles shrugged his wings. "True I never revealed my true self to young Tambry like I did you, but that doesn't mean I didn't recognize and respect everything she did for your mortal self, nor does it mean I didn't see her own potential like I did yours. So whether in the shadows or in the interactions and time I spent with her while acting under the illusion of and playing the role of being a mere faithful pet. I was also doing my part to subtle help, guide, or even teach young Tambry where I could, my Semblance helping here and there. I suppose in a sense just as I was there for you so to was I there for her, as your mother never was for either of you, all while Tambry was kept blissfully unaware.

Whether as a source of comfort in the light or a secret helper from the shadows, I was there for the both of you when no else was. I know you scorn and want to cut ties with your past, but as you said yourself are there not debts to be paid, both good & bad? The mother who abandoned her daughters for her own happiness deserves suffering and punishment, but does not the sister who sacrificed and did so much for her little sister deserve to be rightfully rewarded?

Pericles let loose a dark chuckle as a darker grin crossed his beak. "While the sight of dear Tambry stabbing her mother to death would be and would have be quite delicious. Perhaps we we're rushing things too fast, after all for her actions Prinzessin. "Pericles spat out the title. "Lanaluakalani deserves to have her suffering drawn out with vengeance savored before she meets her painful end. As for dear Tambry does she not deserve the full truth and scope of her so called mothers abandonment, betrayal, and true selfishness? From the heritage and truth that was kept from her daughters, to all the suffering and loss it truly caused being shown for all to see.

"Where exactly are you going with this Pericles?" Nyx asked, having calmed herself down as she listened.

"They've gotten a taste of the great power you now possess as a Lady of Chaos, so why not let them witness your raise and ascension to greater heights! Let them truly witness your power and potential, show Lana Kane the full extent of her mistake she made in abandoning her daughters, and show Tambry that all she did wasn't without purpose with the greatness that awaits her sister. And what better fitting way to commemorate our soon to be rise to greater power, than by passing the long overdue judgement with," An evil grin grew wider on his beak. "A special execution, with either you or dear Tambry swinging the axe."

He tapped his wing on his beak in thought. "Well metaphorically because while certainly a classic I'm sure we can come up with more options than just beheading each certain to be more painful, fun, and entertaining than the last."

"Pericles," Nyx grinned as her eyes returned to normal. "Have I mentioned I love the way you think?"

"I live only to please." Pericles bowed.

"Fine, we're post pone dear old mommy's punishment for another time. I need time to put myself back together anyways." Nyx said, glaring down at her destroyed body. "In the meantime I want to know where the piece of the disk is. As long as that boomerang exists I am vulnerable and I won't stand for it."

"Of course, my lady."

KNOCK-KNOCK!

The Bagge family was at the door, having expecting someone to come by. Oddly enough when Eustace had made the call, the person he called for had declined transportation through the snow.

Either they were crazy or could make it through this surprise winter on their own.

The door opened and…

No one was there.

Correction, someone was there but they had to look down on the ground to see a Chihuahua Mobian that was shorter than even Courage.

She wore a green dress with a purple cloak and hood. Her hood had holes for her ears that had earrings in them in her fur was pale yellow and she one orange eye with a green ring around it on the eft and one orange eye on the right.

"One thing," She spoke. "If you try to contact the dead for personal gain, there will be tragic consequences." At the end her voice took on a deadly whisper.

"Just dial my dead brother and shut up." Eustace retorted, letting her into the house.

The Bagges along with Rino, Extor and Raven had gathered in the dining room as Shirley put a crystal ball on the table.

"Think she's the real deal?" Rino whispered to Raven who looked at Shirley.

From an outside perspective she seemed like your typical fortune teller and yet…Raven could sense genuine magic from her. "Hard to say."

"Join hands." Shirley said which everyone did.

"So, if you contact the dead then there really is an afterlife?" Extor asked skeptically.

"You could say that." Shirley answered.

"Excuse me?"

"There is more to reality than a mere Overworld or Underworld or Nightosphere. There are many layers to it, too many to be counted." Shirley said before closing her eyes and opening her mouth.

Everyone was silent as what sounded like a ring tone came from her mouth.

"She's got to be faking." Rino suggested.

"You're on my payroll now. Wake up and get my brother on the line." Eustace said impatiently, banging on the table.

A moment later Shirley opened her eyes, returning from her trance. "The party is not answering."

"He never took my calls." Eustace grumbled.

"You spy any little transmitters on her?" Rino whispered to Extor.

Raven remained silent, her senses telling her that Shirley had acted as a literal transmitter for the deceased.

Courage popped a question. "Yo-yo?"

"I shall try." Shirley looked into her crystal ball. "I see…I see…I see…A yo-yo!"

"Yes!" Courage barked.

"I see a yo-yo. It is under the sofa." Shirley pointed to the living room.

Courage ran into the living room and looked under the cushion, finding an orange yo-yo.

"Isn't that the yo-yo I left him when I moved out?" Alexis asked, watching Courage take it out, play with it and then put it back under the cushion.

"He's been looking everywhere for it." Murial told her daughter as Courage ran back in, sat on his chair and grasped her hand.

Eustace grumbled impatiently. "Try my brother again."
