Chapter 276
.
After Emily dissapeared, she soon found herself back in Hell. She was both relieved, and saddened, that her wife, Sharon, was also back here. Ever since these two were rescued from here, they had tried to do better in Antarctica. Evidently, it was not enough. They were now stuck here, at least until Good defeated Evil in the final battle. Or they were stuck for much much longer, if Evil emerged triumphant. Sharon and Emily made their way to a local diner, the Double R Diner. They had to give Norma credit, she had managed to rebuild her business in this place. Norma and her husband Ed were feeding these recent refugees, and offering them jobs. Emily and Sharon decided to contemplate this offer of employment. This diner didn't seem so bad, suprisingly good coffee and cherry pie. The patrons at the moment seemed like low level sinners, for the most part. There was Hope, a young woman who'd gotten pregnant from rape and had an abortion. There was Yvette, a sex worker who'd been manipulated by her boss to gather information on her clients, only to be murdered by the jealous wife of one client. There was also a celebrity here, Jerry Seinfeld. Jerry hadn't been particularly evil, but he also wasn't particularly good. When he saw someone being mugged, Jerry and his friends laughed at this poor victim. Jerry was even telling jokes here in Hell, trying to keep everyone's spirits up until Good defeated Evil in the final battle. The only person here who seemed suprised at his fate was reverand Adam. He thought he was serving God, he believed that the plague would save people's souls and bring them to Heaven. Adam still believed he was right about that, but apparently such mass murder still got him sent here. He hoped to find his own daughter, and a woman he loved, before the final battle. If Good defeated Evil, he probably wouldn't see these two again in the next world. And if Evil somehow emerged triumphant, he needed them for some comfort in this Hell. Adam and others were contemplating this while they ate their meals. Their meal was interrupted when an unexpected guest walked in. This was Ares, god of war.
