Prompt:

"I'll make sure she is. And Tails, I couldn't have done it without you." (paraphrasing last words)

After that, Super Sonic dashed through the portal.

Landing somewhere in what looked to be the in between spaces of dimensions, Sonic gasped at seeing Eggman getting hammered by Amy, who was trying to defend herself.

"Take that! And This! And don't you even THINK about making me the damsel in distress again! I'm not just a girl in a cute red dress! I'm better than any princess! I'm-"

"Q-quick with the rhyming already!"

"Amy!"

Amy stopped hammering down on Eggman and looked to Sonic, landing and putting her clawed lego hand up to her mouth. "Sonic…" she seemed touched that he came after her, but her moment of distraction lead Eggman to gain the upperhand again.

Shaking off his head injuries, he saw some floating debris and grabbed what looked to be a huge robotic hand, and clicked it onto his Eggpod, as it stirred to life and clanked it's hand together a few times, going for Amy.

"Ah!" Amy jumped to dodge the first grasp it took at her, before finally grabbing her and holding her up.

"Who-ho-ho-ho! Got'cha! Now you really ARE just a damsel in-ACK!" Eggman was hit with another piece of debris, as he growled and looked over to Sonic, who seemed to have thrown in.

"Let her go, Egghead." He took a heroic stance.

"Hmph, make me!" Eggman suddenly looked over at another portal opening, and looked to Amy. "Eh, actually, I changed my mind. Sure! Rahh!" He flung Amy with the new robotic hand into the portal.

"Amy!" Sonic called after her, reaching his own clawed lego hand out to her, shaking his head.

"Sonic!" Amy flailed, and was sent through the portal.

Sonic moved to try and get a good thrust forward to go in after her, but Eggman popped up in his way, waving his new robotic hand. "Uh, hello? Forgetting someone?" he started reaching out around him, using his long arms to grab other debris and quickly, while a bunch of blocky smoke appeared around his eggpod, improved his ride to be a fighting machine!

"Oh great, not again. Sorry, Egg-stache. But I've got a friend to save!" Sonic then has a boss fight with Eggman, before defeating him and spending him spiraling through the vortex.

Sonic nods, about to go through the portal Amy entered before.

"W-wa-wait! You can't leave me here to float into never-ending dimensional space! Sonic.. Have a heart!"

Sonic sighed, shaking his head, but dived in to save him.

When he did so, Amy's portal disappeared.

"Ah, oh no!" He got Eggman up onto a piece of drifting land, as Eggman snickered.

"You're heart will be you, and your friends, dooms!" He pulled out a gun, but it only shot forth chocolate. "U-uh-ugh-uh, what?"

"Heh, seems you're all out of sweetness, Eggman!" He kicked the eggpod to once again fall into the vortex, and took out his portal gun. "Well, here goes nothing." he fired it and jumped through.

After a little while of searching, running into other friends too, Sonic finally found Amy being chased by the Babylon Rogues, having an airgear she was riding.

Looking distressed, but never planning to tell her he thought that, he grabbed his own airgear and traveled down to her, his super form already dispersed off.

Saving her, he dropped down, holding her bridal style as best as a lego could, and looking off at Jet who cried out a threat, before hightailing it out of there.

"Serves him right, claiming to be the fastest thing alive! Heh, and right in front of that very title-holder too!"

"Did you save me or your reputation?" Amy sarcastically let out, as Sonic looked down to her and then away, nervously chuckling, before powering up and taking them back to their world.

In Sonic's world, the team greeted him, and even some of the other characters, as Amy was set down and Sonic scratched behind his quills, happy that everything looked alright again.

A portal in the distance let out a pretty beat up, Eggman… who ended up crying out in fright as an explosion was heard somewhere in the distance.

Sonic looked towards the area of the explosion, then to the audience, "Well, at least we know he made it back safely." and folded his arms with a charming wink, Amy coming up beside him with Tails and Knuckles, and the four of them posing for the final scene to the camera.
