17… right? XD basing this off of memory so…

17. Amy's birthday has come up, and Sonic is stressing on what to give her. Tails and Knuckles just say she'll accept anything, but Sonic doesn't want to just throw something together, however, he procrastinates and in the end, has to do just that. So he finds a pink pillow fluff, an old raggy towel, and some soft material and just kinda throws a horribly put together pillow-blanket. He fears his life as he presents it to her, but to his amazement, Tails and Knuckles were right! She accepted it, and for quite awhile is obsessed with having it around her. He gets kinda freaked out, seeing as how horrible it is, and keeps trying to get it away from her so that he can replace it with something a little more decent, but she won't let it go! He even has to drag her out of the hub on it because she refuses to wake up and have to get off her pillow-blanket! She's even skipping missions just to read or rest on it. This is the last straw! Sonic finally takes the blasted thing when she is finally forced to part from it, and ends up crying when she finds it was stolen/missing. Sonic planned on giving her something else, but when she started crying, he started thinking. He went to an old friend of his and brought back a really nice looking pillow-blanket, but this time, with a rule that she'll just keep it in her room and won't let it occupy her time to much. With that, he also gives her a rose and she comments saying, "Oh Sonic, I knew it was a piece of trash." she laughs, as Sonic's eyes blink as he states, "Wait…you DID!?" "Yeah, but it came from the heart, and it looked like you worked really hard on it, whether it looked nice or not, I was just glad you thought of me and spent time to make me something. That's what made the gift so precious to me, not how nice it looked, but how nice YOU were in making it for me." Sonic learns an important lesson about the matters of the heart, and swears to make something even BETTER than that pillow-blanket next time.

18. Amy finds an ancient book with an adorable love story within it! She reads it non-stop, and it's fine for a while till she starts mentioning it and referencing it. Not to mention, she's starting to act differently around Sonic! Sonic asks her why she's being all 'girly' for some reason, and she states the girl in the book is like that. He asks her then, why are you being like her? And she states that the boy is a lot like him, and he loves her. Sonic rolls his eyes, "I'm not your storybook dude, alright? Now, quick acting weird! We have a job to do!" She ends up keeping to it, and even on the battlefield she's distracting Sonic with her, 'cutiesy wutiesy' acting. She keeps playing the shy girl, and Sonic gets frustrated and finally snaps, "Why are you acting like that girl still!? You can't have a fairytale ending, Amy, so just knock it off!" It hurts her, and she ends up sulking, wondering why it didn't work when the boy in the book fell madly in love with the girl Amy was acting like. Knuckles tells Tails he'll take care of it, and sits on a log with her and says, "Well, you keep acting like this other girl… right? And that other guy liked her,… and that's why you're doing this, right?" Amy nods slowly, looking very sad. "Well…um… I'm not really good at this 'advice' thing but… speaking plainly here, do you want that boy in the book, or Sonic?" This makes Amy's head shot up, as she realizes Knuckles is right! She's surprised at first but goes with it and the next battle they have, she's back to her old self, fighting along with her friends. She offers her hammer to Sonic, calling him to perform a combo move they know together. Sonic is questioning her but performs the combo, and at the end of the battle, while the boys are celebrating their victory, Amy stays away and looks down to the side. 'Guess I'll never get that one cute moment with Sonic like in the books…' she sighs as she thinks to herself. Sonic looks over to her, and remembers what Tails had said to him, "Some girls like to imagine cute scenes between their crushes and them, I guess Amy is being influenced by the book so much because she wants those moments to happen to her, you know?" So he rushes over to Amy and states, "Well, it's nice to have the old Amy back." And Amy slowly turns her head and states, holding her hand to her other arm, "Y-yeah… sorry about the fuss I made…" "No problem! Besides…" he quickly, but gently moves her chin to have her look at him, and smiles widely, "I like girls who are confident in themselves! Don't try and be anything you're not, your much cuter when you're you." Amy of course is having a mini heart attack as Sonic drops the act and goes back to talking to Tails and Knuckles. Knuckles sees Amy's eyes droop as she starts to slowly lean as if to fall, and straightens her out, not sure why she's being all 'loopy' but figures Sonic might have something to do with it.

19. The hub world is having a dance! A celebration to honor their forming a team and meeting their friends! Amy keeps getting asked to be a date to someone, but keeps refusing, waiting on Sonic who is more fixated on helping with decorations than asking a girl out. She gets frustrated, and the night of the dance comes and she's wearing a very beautiful dress, which just happens to catch Sonic's eye. Tails looks to Sonic mischievously, seeing he can't turn his eye from her. "You know… you can ask her to dance. She'd be overjoyed too, that I know." he chuckles. "W-wha!? Tails! Knock it off, it's not like that!" Sonic folds his arms and looks away, only to peek back at Amy. "She's just…. pretty today… is all." and starts walking off. Tails then gets Knuckles in on his scheme to have the two have a romantic night together, and they keep pushing the two together into ridiculous situations that are embarrassing to Sonic. "Haha! We keep bumping into each other like this, then people are gonna start talking." Amy teases, as Sonic slightly annoyed, looks up at her after being pushed into her by some 'unknown force'. "Yeah… weird how that keeps happening…" he looks behind him, suspicious, before Amy offers him her hand. "I know it's kinda late but… you never asked so that means I have too!" "T-too what?" "Ask you to dance!" she pulls him up and against his will, pulls him to the dance floor, laughing and enjoying herself as Sonic is stumbling around, trying to find his bearing with all this. "W-wait! Aren't I suppose to lead or something!?" The song fades as a slow song starts, and Amy stops as her smile fades too, then she blushes and looks to Sonic, as she moves slightly away from him, looking cutely shy. "Well… why don't you then." she looks up at him, waiting. Sonic doesn't get the atmosphere at first, but when it clicks his face glows a bit of a red, and he scratches his nose. "O-oh…um… em." he nods, and gulps, walking over to her and slowly, delicately, as if this was a conflict to him, puts an arm around her waist and pulls her nearer to him. "It's like this… right?" He looks away, embarrassed and shy too, as Amy giggles and gets a little more excited. Tails and Knuckles high five on the side, and Sonic hears the noise and looks quickly, but they dash behind the table of food. Amy and Sonic dance and everyone looks because it's a surprise to them, but at the same time, seems right. "So… I just move you this way and that, right?" "You're doing fine, Sonic." Amy giggles. "Y-yeah but… Why does everyone have to stare at us? Are we doing something wrong?" "No…" Amy moves his face to look at her, because this whole time he was looking self-consciously at everyone else peeking over at them, not focusing on her. "it's because we're doing something right." He looks shocked by her words but smiles and gets the idea. The two are then lost in their dance and the music, as they actually do some pretty cool dancing moves, and then the song stops to an upbeat and fast one, where Amy breaks into Song and Sonic jumps in with her, as suddenly everyone is singing, dancing, and enjoying themselves!
