He leaves as the sun begins to rise.
The tea is gone, the rain now only a drizzle, and he stands by her window as they say goodbye.
Kagome ducks her head, unsure of how to feel. "I'll see you again?"
Arms circle about her, and Sesshoumaru tightens his hold, breathes her in one more time. "Yes."
She can only nod, clutching him tighter as she tries to stretch out time. "I'll hold you to that."
His chuckle vibrates against her cheek.
Squeezing him again, she lets go.
"Until later," he says.
"Wait."
He turns.
Kagome bites her lip. "Smile."
