It's two more days before Inuyasha comes, and Kagome is leaning against the fence, her eyes fixed on the woods when he arrives.
"Hey."
She turns and smiles, but the effort feels forced. "Hi."
The hanyou frowns, takes in her thin clothing despite the cooler temperatures, and shrugs out of his haori before draping it around her. "You'll catch your death."
"Crepehanger," she chides, but her smile is suddenly less forced, and she relaxes.
Inuyasha leans next to her. "Haven't heard that one, but I get the gist." His eyes join hers. "But I ain't the one to worry about."
