Episode 394: Crimson Blades of Darkness
A whole day has passed since defeating Arbormon. Word gone around stating that Jessebelle has ended up in an engagement with a James lookalike instead of the genuine article.
"She may not be marrying James, but a wedding with someone else is better than no wedding," Sora said.
"At least someone's getting married," Ventus said.
"Since when are we talking about weddings?" Meowth asked.
"You're right. Let's talk about something else in mind. A list of Digimon that ended up meeting their makers. First it was Etemon, then Ogremon, then Grumblemon, and now Arbormon. We must be doing something right by taking them out," Sora said.
"We sure are," Ventus agreed.
"But we shouldn't patting ourselves on the back yet. They might attack us at any moment," Aqua said.
"She's right. We shouldn't let our guard down," Naminé said.
"Azurill," Azurill chirped.
"Sounds like a regular thing with you," Timmy said.
"Pretty much," Sora said.
"Anyway, since there's a Contest taking place, why don't we head on over to Lilypad Town to catch it?" Naminé suggested.
"That sounds like fun. We run into Dawn," Kairi said.
"Who's Dawn?" Timmy asked.
"A Pokémon Coordinator we know," Ventus said. "From we heard, she idolizes Kairi and inspired her to be a Coordinator, besides her mom."
"Wow, that's awesome," Timmy said. The group all arrived in Lilypad City and they wanrted to catch the Contest. As they arrived, they had their Pokémon checked in. Hiding in the shadows, man with ascar on the right half of his face over his eyewears a redhaoriclosed with a black and blue strap with two brown belts wrapped around it. He hs his left arm tucked into the front of hishaori, making it look like his arm is in a sling. He wore a black armored gauntlet on his right hand and an armor brace on his left forearm.
He wore a brown shoulder pad on his left shoulder intricately decorated with tan, green, and blue patterns with a beaded ornament dangling from it. He wears black pants and shoes that have brown straps and triangular metal plating. He wore a black shirt with a high gray collar with intersecting brown straps. His hair is black with gray streaks held back by a gold ribbon, and he has some stubble on his chin. His left eye is amber, and he wore black sunglasses. On his right hip, he carried a jug with the word "Nog" written on it.
"They have arrived," the man said.
"So they have," a new voice spoke. The voice belonged to a man physically in his late twenties, and stands roughly six feet tall. He has crimson eyes and long black hair. He wears a red bandana with his fringe emerging over it. His most distinctive feature is his red cloak, held in place over his shoulders and lower face by several buckles. Underneath his cape, his attire is black leather with several straps and buckles. He wore a golden gauntlet on his left arm.
"Been there long, Vincent?" The man asked.
"I have. What news have you, Auron?" Vincent asked.
"Not much. I have been searching for days," Auron said.
"The same on my end. We must meet with the rest," Vincent said. Auron agreed.
As they entered the Pokémon Center, they saw a familiar face.
"Lyra!" Sora and Kairi said. Lyra smiled and went up to the couple.
"Sora, Kairi, I don't believe it!" Lyra exclaimed. "It feels like forever since we last saw each other!"
"Back at you," Kairi said. She saw the other three.
"Ven, Terra, Aqua! I'm so happy to see you, too!" Lyra said. She looked right at Ventus. "Look at you, Ven, you're getting quite taller."
"Thanks, Lyra," Ventus said. She spots the Eevee with the group.
"Hello again, Angel. Haven't seen you in forever," Lyra said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"What brings you to Sinnoh?" Sora asked.
"I came here with a friend of mine. He's learning on how to be a Pokémon Breeder," Lyra said. She got a look at the Digimon and she was surprised to see each one of them. "Hey, are these Pokémon?" She took out her Pokédex and scanned them.
No sufficient data available.
"What, no data?" Lyra asked.
"They're not Pokémon. They're actually-" Sora was cut off when Lyra called out to a boy with green hair and dark brown eyes. He wore a light green shirt, blue jeans, a pair of glasses, and brown shoes.
"Khoury!" Lyra called out. The boy went up to Lyra.
"Hey, Lyra, sorry it took me so long," Khoury apologized.
"You're just in time. I wanna introduce you to some old friends I met in Johto. Meet Sora and his girlfriend Kairi, and his cousin Ventus, but we call him Ven. And these are his friends, Terra and Aqua. And this is Riku and his girlfriend Naminé," Lyra introduced. "Guys, this is Khoury."
"Nice to meet you," Khoury said.
"And I'm Timmy. I train Bug Type Pokémon," Timmy introduced himself.
"We haven't seen you since we took down Team Rocket," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"It was after we took Team Rocket down that I went back hme to New Bark Town. I was really happy to hear that no bad guys trying to steal Pokémon from other people would be around. Everyone in Johto was happy about it," Lyra said. "And that was when I met Khoury."
"I was surprised to hear Team Rocket had been brought down and all its members are serving time in prison. A lot of Team Rocket haters all worship you," Khoury said. Sora was a bit embarrassed to hear that there were people who hated Team Rocket and love him for it. He noticed the Digimon with the group. "Huh? Are those what I think they are?"
"I was going to ask Sora what they were," Lyra said.
"Like I said, they're not Pokémon. They're Digimon," Sora said.
"Digimon? You mean the same Digimon that has everyone talking?" Khoury asked.
"I didn't think they were real," Lyra said.
"Well, we are," Terriermon said. This surprised Lyra greatly.
"They can talk?!" Lyra exclaimed.
"Yeah they can," Kairi said.
"We heard about you before. I'm Agumon."
"I'm Gabumon."
"I'm Biyomon."
"I'm Tentomon."
"I'm Palmon."
"I'm Gomamon."
"My name's Veemon."
"I am Hawkmon."
"The name's Armadillomon."
"I'm Wormmon."
"My name's Guilmon."
"I'm Terriermon."
"I am Renamon."
"I'm Lopmon."
"I'm Gaomon."
"And I'm Lalamon."
"It's very nice to meet you," Lyra said. "So, how did you come across them?"
"About that," Sora said. "To start things up, they all came from the Digital World which is in a war. Agumon and the others here are with the Resistance, fighting the war from an army being led by Myotismon; he's a Digimon that's even tens times worse than Team Rocket or any Pokémon Hunter."
"And there's a Digimon whose name is AxeKnightmon, along with some other evil Digimon, too," Ventus added.
"They kinda do make Team Rocket seem like pushovers by the way you described them," Khoury said.
"There are other Digimon here, but they're our friends. They were sent here to find Myotismon by our leader, Leomon," Veemon said.
"And that was after we got back from the Digital World," Sora said.
"And what happened after that, we took out some of his goons," Meowth said.
"Wow, that's some story," Lyra said. She decided to change the subject on the matter. "Anyway, Sora, I watched you on TV and saw that you took on the Hoenn Frontier Brains after you beat Brandon. And since you're in Sinnoh, how many Gym Badges did you win?"
"So far, I got seven. I just need one more," Sora said.
"And what about you, Kairi? You entering the Lilypad Town Contest?" Lyra asked.
"Actually, we're just watching. I already won my five Ribbons," Kairi said. The couple shown them the Gym Badges and Contest Ribbons they won.
"Wow, that's impressive. Ethan and Kris would be impressed," Lyra said.
"Speaking of which, how are they?" Sora asked.
"They're doing great actually. Ethan and Kris are quite the couple," Lyra said. Khoury looked at Terra and Aqua.
"Speaking of which, what's the deal between you two?" Khoury asked.
"Terra and I are a pair, like Sora, Kairi, Riku, and Naminé," Aqua said with Terra putting his arms around Aqua's shoulder.
"I knew there was something between the two of you," Lyra said.
Just then, Tidus, Yuna, Rikku, and Paine had all arrived.
"Well, we meet again," Yuna said.
"Yuna! We haven't seen you since the Chocovine Pokémon Contest," Kairi said.
"You know them?" Riku asked.
"Yeah. Yuna, Rikku, and Paine we met before. And along with Tidus. Thinking about it now, what are you doing here?" Sora asked.
"I came here to support Yuna," Tidus replied.
"And you know each other?" Kairi asked.
"Yes. Tidus and I knew each other for a while," Yuna said.
"Yeah, those two had been eyeing each other a long time," Rikku said, making them both blush.
"It's true," Paine confirmed.
Tidus and Yuna blushed some more.
"So, who're they?" Rikku asked.
"This is anold friend of ours. We met her down in the Johto region. This is Lyra. And this is her friend Khoury," Kairi introduced.
"It was good meeting you, but we should get ready," Paine said. Rikku nodded as the foursome had left.
Elsewhere, Duskmon has exited from a dark portal and he takes a few steps forward.
"Those fools should be on the way over here. Now to set the ultimate trap," Duskmon said.
"Thou seem confident that thou shall succeed where Etemon, Ogremon, Grumblemon, and Arbormon has failed, Duskmon," Mercurymon said, appearing.
"Mercurymon. I thought you were following me. And I don't doubt that you seem confident that I will meet their ends the same as them," Duskmon said.
"I wouldn't be so sure, Mercurymon. You know Duskmon is a capabale warrior," Devimon said.
"At least someone here knows of my strength," Duskmon said. "If memory serves, you failed to destroy them when you had the chance on Iron Island."
"I am counting that they shall either destroy thee, or thou shall flee and lick thy wounds," Mercurymon said.
"I am not the kind who shall flee, because I shall destroy them all and I shall do so without the incompetence od Etemon, Ogremon, Arbormon, and Grumblemon rubbing off me," Duskmon said. He took his leave to bring Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, the Pokémon, and the Digimon towards him.
"You don't seem too sure that Duskmon shall prevail, Mercurymon. And if not, then what?" Devimon asked.
"Oh, I have a trap of my own if Duskmon shall fall into battle," Mercurymon grinned. "Now to gather Ranamon, Vorvomon, and the Dracomon Brothers." Mercurymon was preparing for his own plan. He calls forth a large green figure modeled after a sefirot. It has ten sphere and it has red eyes and has a symbol on the center. "They will walk right into my hands when I merge with thee, Sakkakumon." Mercurymon laughed. "And more." Mercurymon studied the battles and saw which Digimon to copy. He has shown interest in Seraphimon. In doing so, he has made a copy of Seraphimon's data and planned to put it to good use.
Back to Lilypad Town, the Lilypad Town Contest is now underway. Marian has entered the stage just as the contest is getting started. Among the judges with Mr. Contesta and Mr. Suziko, there is a blonde hair styled in a half updo with long bangs. Her eyes are dark blue. She wore a sleeveless white top with long, decorated gloves. She wore purple paisley patterned short skirt, white patterned pantyhose, and light purple ankle boots. In the audience is a young man with shoulder-length white hair, blue eyes, pale skin, and a tinge of purple on his lips. He wore a white buttoned shirt, blue jeans, and white shoes. He looked over to the group. The woman in the judges looked right at the group as well.
"The flowering beauty of Lilypad Town beckons that welcomes you to the star-studded, flower studded Contest Stage! Where Pokémon will shine and Coordinators will compete! Ladies and gentlemen, your patience will be rewarded because it is time for the Lilypad Pokémon Contest! And of course, we're coming to you live and in person in Lilypad Town! And the Winning Contest Coordinator will recieve this! This precious Lilypad Ribbon! And for winning five Contests, Coordinators are eligible to enter in the Grand Festival!" Marian announced.
"Wow, this is amazing," Lyra said.
"Your first time seeing a Contest, Lyra?" Sora asked.
"Sure is. This is so exciting," Lyra said.
"Before we begin with Round One, allow me to introduce you to our judges! First is the head of the Pokémon Activities Committee, Mr. Contesta! The president of the Pokémon Fan Club, Mr. Suziko, and finally, you know her and love her, the wife of a Pokémon Colosseum Champion, Cecil Harvey, allow me to introduce you to Rosa Joanna Farrell Harvey!" Marian announced. The crowd cheered on for her.
"Wow, she's very pretty," Lyra said.
"I'll say she is," Tentomon agreed.
"Who is she?" Ventus asked.
"Rosa Joanna Farrel Harvey. She and her husband had been named the top power couple in the Pokémon world. Her husband Cecil Harvey has been called the Paladin of the Colosuem," Lyra explained. "Rosa has been called the White Beauty."
The Contest goes on as they see all the Pokémon onstage perform. Among the performing Pokémon, there's a a mammalian flying squirrel-like Pokémon that resembles a Pichu, Pikachu, Plusle, Minun and Pachirisu. It has white fur on its face and the front side of its body. The back of Emolga's head is black. Its two large ears are yellow with white centers. Its stubby forearms have three fingers on each hand. Its membrane is used to glide and store energy produced in its cheeks. This membrane is black on the back of its body and yellow on the front. Its legs are very short and it has small oval-shaped feet without toes, also similar to Plusle and Minun. Its tail is long and jagged; the base is yellow and the rest is black. Sora took out his Pokédex and scanned it.
Emolga, the Sky Squirrel Pokémon
Type: Electric/Flying
They live on treetops and glide using the inside of a cape-like membrane while discharging electricity. The energy made in its cheeks' electric pouches is stored inside its membrane and released while it is gliding.
"And Emolga has wowed us all with its cuteness!" Marian announced.
Another is an Audino who has gave off a shining flash. Sora took out his Pokédex and scanned it.
Audino, the Hearing Pokémon
Type: Normal
Its auditory sense is astounding. It has a radarlike ability to understand its surroundings through slight sounds. Using the feelers on its ears, it can tell how someone is feeling or when an egg might hatch.
"Those are impressive ears," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu agreed.
And then it was a Maractus performing a Petal Dance and then followed with Pin Missle. Sora once again, took his Pokédex out.
Maractus, the Cactus Pokémon
Type: Grass
With noises that could be mistaken for the rattles of maracas, it creates an upbeat rhythm, startling bird Pokémon and making them fly off in a hurry. Once each year, this Pokémon scatters its seeds. The seeds are jam-packed with nutrients, making them a precious food source out in the desert.
"Better than sunflower seeds," Sora said.
And it was Yuna's turn and she has captivated the audience by using her Sylveon for her performance.
"Ladies and gentlemon, that brings us to an end to the exciting Round One! Please be patient while our judges' results are caculated!" Marian announced.
Outside, Vorvomon, the Dracomon Brothers, and Ranamon all have been gathered.
"So, Mercurymon, what's the big plan you got cooking up?" Ranamon asked.
""I am glad thou has asked, milady. Duskmon shall fail in his task. He shall lure the naives over to our direction and we shall spring in the ultimate trap," Mercurymon said. They all looked up and saw Sakkakoumon hovering above them.
"Sakkakoumon? That's your beast form!" Vorvomon said.
"Indeed. Sora and his friends shall arrive here soon after the battle has concluded," Mercurymon said.
"My question is how do you know Duskmon is going to mess up?" Ranamon asked.
"I have foreseen it. Duskmon will merely exhaust them and then when they feel safe, we shall surprise them and bring them right to us. And with that accomplished, we shall spring in our trap. Once inside of Sakkakoumon, and the real fun shall begin," Mercurymon said, giving off an evil laugh.
Back to the Lilypad Town, Duskmon is in a disguise. He approache Nure Joy at the counter.
"May I help you?" Nurse Joy asked. Duskmon took out a note.
"I have a message for Sora Ketchum. Can you ensure that he gets it?" Duskmon asked.
"Of course," Nurse Joy said. Duskmon took his leave before she could ask who he was. Duskmon then vanishes
Back at the Contest, Sora, Kairi Riku, Naminé, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Timmy, Lyra, Khoury, Pikachu, Eevee, Angel, Azurill, Meowth, and the Digimon all were waiting to see who has progressed even further.
"And now, ladies and gentlemen, thank you again for your patience! After careful consideration by our panel of judges, the Coordinators moving onto Round 2 are: these eight!" Marian nnoounced, presenting the final eight. Yuna is among the final eight.
"Looks like Yuna made it!" Timmy said.
"Yeah, let's see if she'll win it," Riku said.
"Go get 'em, Yu-Yu!" Rikku cheered.
Yuna is taking the first round against a male Coordinator known as Mario.
"The first round of the Second Round, to begin! To my left it's Yuna, and to my right is Mario! We got five minutes on the clock and begin!" Marian announced. Yuna took out a Pokéball in a Ball Capsule with a purple Flora Seal. Mario took out his with a Fire Seal.
"Go! Leavanny!" Yuna called out with Leavanny coming out with a shower of purple flower petals.
"Go! Granbull!" Mario called out. Granbull came on out with an ember.
"Granbull! Use Fire Fang!" Mario ordered. Granbull came at Leavanny with Fire Fang.
"And it's Granbull, unleashing a powerful and flaming Fire Fang!" Marian annoucned. Yuna has lost a little bit of points.
"Dodge and use Sunny Day!" Yuna ordered. Leavanny avoids Granbull's Fire Fang and unleashes Sunny Day.
"Leavanny avoids Fire Fang and brings on the sunshine! What does Yuna have planned for this?" Marian asked.
"Solar Beam!" Yuna ordered. Leavanny fires Solar Beam right at Granbull, resulting in a one hit knockout.
"And Mario's Granbull has been taken out with just one hit!" Marian announced.
The next battle has a battle between two different Pokémon. One has the appearance is a bit like a triple cross-over of a tadpole, eel and a glassfish. Its tiny body is white, with a yellow zigzagging pattern across its side. It has very small black eyes and a small slightly star-shaped mouth with four points. Another it's against is a small Pokémon that resembles an ice cream cone with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a head. Its head is covered with white snow that resembles a swirled scoop of vanilla ice cream. Beneath the snowy cover, the Pokémon's head is made of the same icy material as its light blue, semi-translucent body. It is possible for the snowy material covering its head to melt if exposed to high temperatures. It has light blue ovular eyes with dark blue pupils, a small dark-blue mouth, and a diamond-shaped ice crystal on each cheek. Its small body is sprinkled with particles of ice and has short icy arms. The cylindrical bottom part of its body resembles a small ice cream cone made of translucent bluish ice. Sora took out his Pokédex and scanned them both.
Tynamo, the EleFish Pokémon
Type: Electric
These Pokémon move in schools. They have an electricity-generating organ, so they discharge electricity if in danger. While one alone doesn't have much power, a chain of many Tynamo can be as powerful as lightning.
Vanillite, the Fresh Snow Pokémon
Type: Ice
This Pokémon formed from icicles bathed in energy from the morning sun. It sleeps buried in snow. The temperature of their breath is -58 F. They create snow crystals and make snow fall in the areas around them.
"And begin!" Marian announced.
Elsewhere, Puppetmon has finally arrived in Lilypad Town.
"I hope my friends are doing okay!" Puppetmon said. He proceeds to find them.
Vanillite has taken down Tynamo with the use of Powder Snow with only two minutes and twenty-two seconds remaining.
"Vanillite has taken down Tynamo with a lovely Powder Snow!" Marian announced. Other battles has pressed on as it was down to Yuna and the Coordinator with Vanillite in the semi-finals. Leavanny was up against a Coordinator with a Tyrogue. Leavanny has taken Tyrouge down before he knew what hit him. "And the winner of the Lilypad Town Pokémon Contest is Yuna! Congratulations!" The crowd starts cheering. With that done, Yuna has gained the Lilypad Contest Ribbon from the judges. Once it was over, the group all returned to the Pokémon Center as Nurse Joy has approached them.
"Excuse me, but which one of you is Sora?" Nurse Joy asked.
"That's me," Sora answered. Nurse Joy hands him the message.
"This came for you from a mysterious man," Nurse Joy said. Sora took the message and read the contents on it.
Meet me outside of Lilypad Town as soon as the Contest has ended. And bring your friends with you.
- A challenger.
"Someone's challenging you to a battle, Sora?" Lyra asked.
"Looks like a challange by the way it's written," Sora said.
"And if I know you, you're going to accept it," Riku said.
"I might as well hear what he has to say," Sora said. With that said, Sora, Kairi Riku, Naminé, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Timmy, Lyra, Khoury, Pikachu, Eevee, Angel, Azurill, Meowth, and the Digimon all went outside the town as instructed. The group all looked around and saw no sign of the challenger. "Okay, we're here, so it's only a matter of time before he makes himself known."
"Or maybe it's just too good to be true. It might be some girl trying to get a date with you," Naminé said. Kairi's cheeks puffed up in jealousy.
"Then, why would they ask us to come along, too?" Ventus asked.
"That's a good point, Ven," Khoury said.
"Or maybe it's a prank," Meowth added.
"it is neither," a dark voice spoke. They all flinched when they saw it was the challenger approaching them. The group got a good look at the newcomer, and it was Duskmon.
"Duskmon!" The Digimon all exclaimed in surprise.
"Is he another Digimon?" Lyra asked.
"He is. He's one of those evil Digimon we told you about," Kairi said. Riku took out his DIgidex and anazlyzed him.
"Duskmon, the Warrior of Darkness. He's swift as he is ruthless. A demon man Digimon. He uses his crimson blood blades to cut anything and anyone into ribbons," Riku said.
"I have been waiting for you," Duskmon said. "Lord Myotismon wishes for you to be destroyed."
"So, where are your friends to back you up?" Meowth asked.
"Duskmon is even more deadly when he's alone," Agumon said.
"You are right to be frightened," Duskmon said.
"We can take you on, Duskmon!" Gatomon said.
"You shall try," Duskmon said. The Digimon all started to Digivolve. Lyra and Khoury were stunned to see the sudden transformation.
"Agumon Digivolve to... Greymon!"
"Gabumon Digivolve to... Garurumon!"
"Biyomon Digivolve to... Birdramon!"
"Tentomon Digivolve to... Kabuterimon!"
"Palmon Digivolve to... Togemon!"
"Gomamon Digivolve to... Ikkakumon!"
"Patamon Digivolve to... Angemon!"
"Gatomon Digivolve to... Angewomon!"
"Veemon Digivolve to... Veedramon!"
"Hawkmon Digivolve to... Aquilamon!"
"Armadillomon Digivolve to... Ankylomon!"
"Wormmon Digivolve to... Stingmon!"
"Guilmon Digivolve to... Growlmon!"
"Terriermon Digivolve to... Gargomon!"
"Renamon Digivolve to... Kyubimon!"
"Lopmon Digivolve to... Turuiemon!"
"Gaomon Digivolve to... Gaogamon!"
"Lalamon Digivolve to... Sunflowmon!"
Lyra and Khoury were amazed by their transformations.
"What just happened to them?" Lyra asked.
"They all Digivolved. That way, they can take on Duskmon," Sora said.
"Attack!" Greymon ordered. Greymon went in first to ram into him, but Duskmon easily dodges and he smacks him. One by one, Duskmon has taken them all down, in this precise order. Ankylomon, Turuiemon, Aquilamon, Birdramon, Gaogamon, Ikkakumon, Togemon, Garurumon, Veedramon, Gargomon, Stingmon, Growlmon, Kabuterimon, Kyubimon, Sunflowmon, Angemon, and Angewomon. Pikachu, Angel, and Eevee even joined only to be hurled at the Digimon.
"Is that the best you got?" Duskmon asked.
"Not even close!" Growlmon said. "Pyro Blaster!" He spews his fire attack, but Duskmon takes out his blades and slashes it in half. Garurumon came at the Warrior of Darkness with his fangs emitting ice.
Garurumon, "Sub Zero Ice Fang!" He bit Duskmon on the arm.
"Bad doggy!" Duskmon said, throwing him off.
"Pikachu! Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu fires Thunderbolt at Duskmon and he stood there and took it.
"Eevee! Shadow Ball!" Riku ordered. Eevee fires Shadow Ball and it struck him as well.
"You can't hurt me like this that easily," Duskmon said.
"Then, we'll do it the hard way!" Angemon said. "Hand of Fate!" He unleashed his attack and it struck Duskmon hard.
"Wow, that actually hurt him!" Khoury said.
"Maybe it might be because Angemon has a way with dealing of dark Digimon like Duskmon. His holy powers must be his weakness," Aqua said. Duskmon glared right at Angemon.
"Have you had enough, or do you want some more?" Angemon asked. Duskmon chuckled evilly.
"I was about to ask you the same question," Duskmon said. He jumped and the eyeballs on his armor turn right to him. "Deadly Gaze!" He fires his lasers and struck Angemon hard. "Blood Strike!" He swipes his crimson blades. Angemon blocks with his staff. He sends Duskmon back as Angewomon appears. She sends her hands forward.
"Heaven's Charm!" Angewomon sends out her attack and it struck Duskmon hard. It did hurt him, but it wasn't enough to bring him down. "What?"
"Nice try," Duskmon said. Growlmon, Ankylomon, Gargomon, Turuiemon, Aquilamon, Gaogamon, and Sunflowmon all came at him at once.
Growlmon, "Dragon Slash!"

Turuiemon, "Ninja Fist!"
Sunflowmon, "Smiley Slap!"
Growlmon slashes at Duskmon, Ankylomon charges to trample him, Aquilamon dives down with the edges of his horns glowing, Gaogamon moves to bite him, Gargomon charges to land a punch as did Turuiemon, and Sunflowmon moved in to slap him. Duskmon fires his attack.
"Deadly Gaze!" Duskmon shouted, firing his lasers. Growlmon, Ankylomon, Gargomon, Turuiemon, Aquilamon, Gaogamon, and Sunflowmon all got struck hard.
"Body Blow!" Ikkakumon shouted, trying to slam onto Duskmon, but he gave him another smack. All of the Digimon all tried to take him down, but he was too powerful to defeat.
"You are fools to challenge me. You lost before you started fighitng. Surrender and I will end your lives in the least painful way possible," Duskmon said.
"We're not stupid enough to believe anything you say, Duskmon!" Garurumon said.
"How unfortunate," Duskmon said. "Now, to finish you all off here and now." He started to transform. "Duskmon Slide Evolution..." Duskmon transformed into a skeletal demon bird-like Digimon that has black feathers and dark red skin. Keeping in line with his human spirit, his shoulders are armored with skulls, and he has three horns, three eyes on his head, and yellow hair. "Velgemon!" The evil Digimon roared as he flew around.
Puppetmon has caught up with the others at last. He spotted his friends in trouble.
"My friends!" Puppetmon gasped. He rushes off to save his friends before it was too late.
"Now, to finish you all in one shot!" Velgemon said. Energy of darkness emerges from underneath as the Digimon could only watch in horror. The same can be said for Sora and his friends.
"Guys!" Sora gasped.
"Dark Obliteration!" Velgemon shouted, as Puppetmon jumped up.
"Puppet Pummel!" Puppetmon shouted, swinging his hammer. The hammer lands a heavy blow onto Velgemon.
"Puppetmon!" Ventus said. Velgemon fell to the ground. He is angered by how the puppet-like Digimon had interferred.
"Glad you guys are okay," Puppetmon said.
"Thanks for the save, Puppetmon," Kabuterimon said. Puppetmon beamed.
"What happned to you?" Meowth asked.
"It's a long story, but it's a good thing I came right in time," Puppetmon said. Velgemon flew right down and transformed.
"Velgemon Slide Evolution... Duskmon!" Duskmon glared right at Puppetmon.
"I'm going to chop you into firewood for that, you poor excuse for a Digimon!" Duskmon said.
"I'd like to see you try, you big bully!" Puppetmon said. He blew a raspberry at him. Duskmon tries to swipe him with his blades and he ducks out of the way. He moved faster than Duskmon would have. "Flying Cross Cutter!" Puppetmon threw his cross and it struck Duskmon on his back.
"Now that has got to hurt!" Meowth said. Duskmon stood on his feet and he came at Puppetmon.
"Blood Strike!" Duskmon shouted.
"Puppet Pummel!" Puppetmon houted. He swings his hammer down at Duskmon and it sends him flying. "And here's a little bit more! Puppet Pummel!" He fires his bullets from hammer. Duskmon gets pelted by Puppetmon's attack. Just then, Pegasusmon and Nefertimon appear right at the same time.
Pegasusmon, "Equss Beam!"
Nefertimon, "Cat's Eye Beam!"
Both Pegasusmon and Nefertimon fire their attacks all at once and he goes flying even further. Pegasusmon and Nefertimon both disappear.
Meanwhile, Mercurymon, Ranamon, Vorvomon, and the Dracomon Brothers were watching the battle closely.
"Duskmon blew it, just like you said he would," Vorvomon said.
"Indeed. But Duskmon shall return with a vengeance," Mercurymon said. "Bu not before we have a shot."
Right back at the group, the Digimon all reverted back to their original forms and thanked Puppetmon for his help.
"Thanks a lot for helping us, Puppetmon. That's twice you helped us out," Kairi said.
"I had to. You're just fun to be around," Puppetmon said.
"We would have been goners if you hadn't come along," Gaomon said.
"And it was a good thing you did," Patamon said.
"Thanks guys," Puppetmon said.
A little while later, Puppetmon got to know his new friends, hearing about their adventures.
"Anyway, if you're not working with Myotismon, then why are you here?" Sora asked.
"Okay, I'm going to admit, I used to work for the guy, but I never really did like him. I thought I was going to play as much as i want, but it turns out that he's a total killjoy and a bore," Puppetmon said.
"Sounds like you didn't read the fine print," Meowth said.
"I didn't," Puppetmon said.
A little while later, Lyra, Khoury, and Timmy were starting to take off.
"Sure you can't stick around?" Sora asked.
"Sorry, but we should be heading back home. It was nice seeing you again," Lyra said.
"And I am curious to visit the Johto region. I'll be heading for the Azalea Town Gym and challenge the Gym Leader there," Timmy said.
"Say hi to Ethan and Kris when you see them," Kairi said.
"I will," Lyra said.
"And good luck with your next Gym battle, Sora. And good luck in the Grand Festival, Kairi," Khoury said.
"Thanks," Kairi said.
With that said, Lyra, Khory, and Timmy started to make their way to the Johto region as Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Eevee, Angel, Azurill, Meowth, and the Digimon continued on thier way, unaware of the trap Mercurymon has set. Will they be okay dealing with whatever those Digimon have in store? Just wait and see.
