Episode 395: Alone But Never Alone
After being saved from Duskmon from by Puppetmon, he has decided to join up for a bit as the group has proceeded on towards Sunyshore City. Along the way, the group bumps into three trainers with six Pokémon each. They each had a hairstyle representing the elements of fire, ice, and lightning, like Moltres, Zapdos, and Articuno.
One trainer has a Tynamo. The second one a small blue and tan Pokémon, with a tan fin on the top and bottom of its head. It has a round mouth full of razor sharp teeth, surrounded with red lips. It has yellow decoration around the eye and three yellow dots on its body. The third one is a is long eel-like Pokémon. It is top half is navy blue, while its underbelly is cream colored. It has a large open red-rimmed mouth with sharp fangs encircling it. It has red eyes with black pupils and yellow markings surrounding its eyes and tapering into two yellow specks on its side. It has long tentacle-like arms with three claws on each, and a circular red and yellow pattern on the underside of its tentacles. It has a long navy blue fin with a cream colored frill atop its head that extends down its back; another cream-colored fin extends from its lower back, and it has two small ovular fins that serve as its feet. The fourth one is a small two-headed metallic Pokémon that resembles a set of gears. It slightly resembles Magnemite and Magneton, except it appears to consist of two spinning gears. Both gears are identical and have an X for the right eye. Each gear's other eye is open and round with a black pupil, and it has a greenish dome-shaped center that appears to be its nose and a round, open mouth. The fifth one is a Pokémon looks similar to the previous one, but with a significant difference: it now has a big dark gear in back with a small gear in front. The small gear in the center has another small gear next to it. And the sixth one a Pokémon with a large spiked metal ring on the bottom held by a medium-sized gear, it has a large gear in the back and a small gear in the upper left area and another one near the center. The Pokémon has a red core at the center of its body that is surrounded by a spiked ring.
The second trainer has a small quadrupedal Pokémon with a white, round body and nubby legs. Its upper half is encased in a slightly transparent, pale blue chunk of ice. Its eyes, which are yellow with purple sclerae, are visible through the ice. The ice itself forms a large triangle with smaller spikes on its forehead and hind end. The second one is a Pokémon bears some resemblance to a Torterra. Its triangular head is small, with yellow eyes and tusk-like growths on the sides of its mouth, while its broad flat shell is diamond-shaped and lined with purple horizontal gouges. Its four stubby feet have three claws each and are lined with purple markings too. The third one is a Pokémon that resembles a living snowflake. Its flat blue body, composed of ice, is hexagonal in shape. It has deep-set eerily glowing blue eyes and an open mouth from which it forms chains of ice crystals. The fourth one is Vanillite, the fifth one is an icy Pokémon that resemble large ice cream cones with a sizable scoop of vanilla ice cream for a face. Vanillish have large, snow-covered, round upper bodies with a swirled icy snow-like material on top, resembling a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Vanillish has a cheerful goofy grin on its face. Its large ovular eyes have dark blue pupils. Like Vanillite, It has small diamond-shaped ice crystals on its face, just below its dark blue smiling mouth. Vanillish has two short triangular limbs that resemble chips of pointed ice, which seem to serve as its hands. It has a conical lower body that resembles a large ice cream cone or an icicle. The sixth one a large icy, two-headed Pokémon that resembles a double-scoop ice cream sundae or a banana split. Most of its upper body is covered in a pure white snowy substance that resembles swirled scoops of vanilla ice cream. Each head has two ovular eyes with purplish pupils and a dark purple grinning mouth. It has many diamond-shaped icy blue crystals covering its upper body, located on the side of each of its eyes and two beneath each mouth. It has two short triangular arm-like ice crystals on either side of its mid section, and three conical icicles beneath its body. The icicle in the middle of its lower body is the largest of the three. It has a hollow straw-like appendage on top of its left head from which it emits puffs of freezing air. On the back of its two heads are many tiny blue ice crystals that form a pattern.
The third trainer has a Pokémon seems to be based upon a lit candle. It is white and cylindrical in shape with small yellow eyes, one of which is hidden by what appears to be a flap of melted wax; the drooping wax covers and encircles the top of its head. It has small stubby hands and a small grinning mouth that appear to be drips of wax.It has a purple flame on its head. The second is a ghostly Pokémon that appears to be a haunted lantern or street lamp. It has a black cone-shaped cap with pointed tip at the top, and a cylindrical spool-shaped black lower body with two long arms curling from beneath it. Its head appears to be a glass bulb with a blazing purple flame contained inside; it has two small glowing yellow eyes on the outside of its glass head, and no visible mouth. The third one is a black and purple Pokémon that resembles a ghostly chandelier. It possesses a large round glass head containing blazing purple flames which flare out from the top and multiple arms tipped with purple flames extending out from its base. It has two black arms with two candle-like extensions sprouting from each arm. Its mouth area consists of black stitch-like designs, and it has two large circular gleaming yellow eyes. The fourth one is a small bird-like Pokémon. It has a bright orange head and a mostly pale purplish-gray body. The tips of its grayish wings are white, and it has a small black and white striped tail. It has round black eyes, a small black beak, and tiny black feet and talons. The fifth one is a sparrow-like bird Pokémon. The feathers covering the top part of its body are a vivid fire-red hue, while its underside is gray. Its wings are black with feathery yellow tips. It has a black white-striped tail, and black legs and talons. Its eyes are black with yellow patterns on either side, and it has a sharply pointed black beak. The sixth one is a large hawk-like bird Pokémon. It has flame-red feathers covering its head and wings, and specks of orange, resembling embers, on its underbelly and legs. The lower part of its body is gray in color. Its large orange wings are tipped with black feathers. Its tail is black with yellow stripes. It now has powerful legs and sharp yellow, clawed talons. Its eyes are narrowed and yellow in color, and it has a short, sharp black beak.
"Hey!" The trainer with the fire hairstyle called out. The group stopped and spotted the trainer trio. "Any of you Pokémon trainers?"
"That'll be me, her, and him," Riku said, pointing to Sora and Kairi.
"Good, because we've been looking for some trainers to battle!" The trainer with the lightning hairstyle said.
"So, we wanna have a battle with you," the trainer with the ice hairstyle said.
"How do you wanna do it?" Riku asked.
"We can make it a double battle between the each of us! The one I want is you!" The trainer with the fire hairstyle said.
"I'll take the girl!" The trainer with the ice hairstyle said.
"I wanted the third one anyway," the trainer with the lightning hairstyle said. Sora looked at the Pokémon and he scanned each one of them.
Eelektrik, the EleFish Pokémon
The evolved form of Tynamo
Type: Electric
Eelektrik has a pretty big appetite. When they spot their prey, they attack it and paralyze it with electricity. They coil around foes and shock them with electricity-generating organs that seem simply to be circular patterns.
Eelektross, the EleFish Pokémon
The evolved form of Eelektrik
With their sucker mouths, they suck in prey. Then they use their fangs to shock the prey with electricity. After they attacked their prey they crawl out of the ocean using their arms.
Klink, the Gear Pokémon
Type: Steel
The two minigears that mesh together are predetermined. Each will rebound from other minigears without meshing. Interlocking two bodies and spinning around generates the energy they need to live.
Klang, the Gear Pokémon
The evolved form of Klink
Type: Steel
By changing the direction in which it rotates, it communicates its feelings to others. When angry, it rotates faster. Spinning minigears are rotated at high speed and repeatedly fired away. It is dangerous if the gears don't return.
Klinklang, the Gear Pokémon
The evolved form of Klang
Type: Steel
The three gears that compose this Pokémon spin at high speed. Its new spiked gear isn't a living creature. From its spikes, it launches powerful blasts of electricity. Its red core contains an enormous amount of energy.
Bergmite, the Ice Chunk Pokémon
Type: Ice
Using air of -150 degrees Fahrenheit, they freeze opponents solid. They live in herds above the snow line on mountains. It blocks opponents' attacks with the ice that shields its body. It uses cold air to repair any cracks with new ice.
Avalugg, the Iceberg Pokémon
The evolved form of Bergmite
Type: Ice
The way several Bergmite huddle on its back makes it look like an aircraft carrier made of ice. Its ice-covered body is as hard as steel. Its cumbersome frame crushes anything that stands in its way.
Vanillish, the Icy Snow Pokémon
The evolved form of Vanillite
Type: Ice
Snowy mountains are this Pokémon's habitat. During an ancient ice age, they moved to southern areas. It conceals itself from enemy eyes by creating many small ice particles and hiding among them.
Vanilluxe, the Snowstorm Pokémon
The evolved form of Vanillish
Type: Ice
People believe this Pokémon formed when two Vanillish stuck together. Its body temperature is roughly 21 degrees Fahrenheit. When its anger reaches a breaking point, this Pokémon unleashes a fierce blizzard that freezes every creature around it, be they friend or foe.
Cryogonal, the Crystallizing Pokémon
Type: Ice
With its icy chains, Cryogonal freezes those it encounters. It then takes its victims away to somewhere unknown. When the weather gets hot, these Pokémon turn into water vapor. Cryogonal are almost never seen during summer.
Fletchling, the Tiny Robin Pokémon
Type: Normal/Flying
This amiable Pokémon is easy to train. But when battle is joined, it shows its ferocious side. When it's excited, its temperature can double, spiking hormone production in its body.
Fletchinder, the Ember Pokémon
The evolved form of Fletchling
Type: Fire/Flying
The hotter the flame sac on its belly, the faster it can fly, but it takes some time to get the fire going. From its beak, it expels embers that set the tall grass on fire. Then it pounces on the bewildered prey that pop out of the grass.
Talonflame, the Scorching Pokémon
The evolved form of Fletchinder
Type: Fire/Flying
When attacking prey, it can reach speeds of up to 310 mph. It finishes its prey off with a colossal kick. In the fever of an exciting battle, it showers embers from the gaps between its feathers and takes to the air.
Litwick, the Candle Pokémon
Type: Ghost/Fire
The flame on its head keeps its body slightly warm. This Pokémon takes lost children by the hand to guide them to the ghost world. The younger the life this Pokémon absorbs, the brighter and eerier the flame on its head burns.
Lampent, the Lamp Pokémon
The evolved form of Litwick
Type: Ghost/Fire
It arrives near the moment of death and steals spirit from the body. This ominous Pokémon is feared. Through cities it wanders, searching for the spirits of the fallen.
Chandelure, the Luring Pokémon
The evolved form of Lampent
Type: Ghost/Fire
Being consumed in Chandelure's flame burns up the spirit, leaving the body behind. The spirits burned up in its ominous flame lose their way and wander this world forever.
"What cool-looking Pokémon," Ventus said.
"Thanks," the trainer with the fire hairstyle said.
Watching the event, Vorvomon and the Dracomon Brothers were watching closely. They were laughing.
"This is great. Mercurymon's plan is working better than he planned. He said Sora and Kairi will be challenged into a battle, and throw in the third one and we got three battles," Vorvomon said.
"All those guys has to do is throw the battles like we're paying them for, and then point them our way," the second Dracomon said.
"You two head on back and let them know that the humans has taken the bait. I'll stay here and enjoy the show," Vorvomon said.
"Ay, ay, sir!" The first Dracomon said.
With that said, the Dracomon Brothers has flown off to deliever the good news to Mercurymon and Ranamon. Once they have reached Mercurymon, Ranamon, and Devimon they gave a salute.
"Sirs and ma'am, we came to inform you that Sora, Kairi, and Riku has taken the bait!" The Dracomon Brohters both said.
"Excellent. Everything is going as planned. Head back and make sure the trainers are doing their part," Mercurymon said.
"Yes sir!" The first Dracomon said.
"On it, sir!" The second Dracomon said.
"Now, the time has come to set the stage for the final act," Mercurymon said.
"Yay! We can finally put an end to those Resistance and those goody-good brats!" Ranamon said.
"Indeed. Do not get overconfident," Devimon said.
Over to Myotismon's hideout, Duskmon kneels to his master's side.
"My lord, I have failed you," Duskmon said.
"I see. Despite it all, you were defeated by that traitor Puppetmon," Myotismon said.
"I have brought shame to you, master," Duskmon said.
"No. It is through failure that we have gained the upperhand. We now know how to root out the traitors. Also, Mercurymon has set his own plan into motion," Myotismon said.
"How so?" Duskmon asked.
"Thanks to you, they have been weakened and they will be arriving towards Sakkakoumon. Mercurymon is betting it all on his beast form. If he gambles and win, then the demise of Etemon, Ogremon, Arbormon, and Grumblemon would mean something," Myotismon said.
"I shall go back and finish the job, master," Duskmon said.
"No. Puppetmon has done a toll on you, my friend. Because of their demise, we mustn't be reckless," Myotismon reminded Duskmon. "For now, rest, and let Mercurymon have his fun."
"As you wish, my master," Duskmon said, leaving to rest. The vampire Digimon laughed as he looked upon Sakkaoumon.
"It won't be long until it draws the attention of Agunimon and the other five, so they will have a series of battles. But as for the humans and the Pokémon, Sakkakumon will plant his seeds of doubt into their hearts. And that is where they shall meet thier ends," Myotismon said, laughing.
The first batle will be between Riku and the trainer with the fire hairstyle. The Pokémon he will be going with will be his Talonflame and Chandelure. Riku has his Incineroar and Urshifu out.
"Wanna make the first move?" Riku asked.
"With pleasure! Talonflame! use Flame Charge! Chandelure! Use Shadow Ball!" The trainer with the fire hairstyle ordered. Talonflame charge at Incineorar while Chandleure fires Shadow Ball right at Urshifu.
"Incineroar! Use Fire Punch on Talonflame! Urshifu! Use your Wicked Blow on Chandelure!" Riku ordered. Incineorar lands a Fire Punch onto Talonflame as Urshifu has taken down the luring Pokémon with one blow. Talonflame was still going.
"Talonflame! Use Brave Bird!" The trainer with the fire hairstyle ordered. Talonflame came at its opponents with Brave Bird.
"Incineroar! Darkest Lariat!" Riku ordered. Incineroar spins around with Darkest Lariat and lands a hit onto Talonflame, finishing it off. The trainer with the fire hairstyle has lost.
"No way! I lost?!" The trainer with the fire hairstyle exclaimed.
Vorvomon sat and enjoyed the show so far as the Dracomon Brothers had both arrived.
"Took you two long enough. Well?" Vorvomon asked.
"They're getting everything ready," the first Dracomon reported.
"Good! The next battle is about to start, and it's Kairi," Vorvomon said.
"Just who does she think she is? I mean just look at her," the first Dracomon said.
"Yeah. She's some big shot Pokémon Coordinator just because she has all five of her Contest Ribbons," the second Dracomon added. "But she's really pretty for a human. Vorvomon and the first Dracomon smacked him.
"Shut up! And don't ever think that again!" Vorvomon said.
"Sorry," the second Dracomon apologized.
"You should be, little brother," the first Dracomon said.
Kairi is up against Avalugg and Vanilluxe. She thought long and hard on which ones she was going with. She made up her mind and she took out two Pokéballs and threw them.
"Go! Chansey and Pachirisu!" Kairi called out. Chansey and Pachirisu both came out.
"Ladies first," the trainer with the ice hairstyle said.
"Thank you. Chansey! Use Egg Bomb! Pachirisu! Discharge!" Kairi ordered. Chansey threw an egg-like projectile as Pachirisu unleashed Discharge.
"Vanilluxe! Use Ice Beam! Avalugg! Use Blizzard!" The trainer with the ice hairstyle ordered. Vanilluxe and Avalugg fires their ice attacks at their opponents. All the attacks hits their targets. Chansey and Pachirisu both had taken a hit.
"Chansey! Use Double Slap on Vanilluxe! Pachirisu! Super Fang on Avalugg!" Kairi ordered. Chansey went over to Vanilluxe and gave it a Double Slam as Pachirisu gave a Super Fang onto Avalugg's leg. "Now, use Iron Tail!" Pachirisu lands an Iron Tail onto Avalugg. "Chansey! Use Hyper Beam!" Chansey unleashed Hyper Beam and lands a hit onto both Vanilluxe and Avalugg, resulting in a double knockout. Chansey then started to evolve. Kairi's Chansey was now a Blissey. "You evolved!" Kairi went and hugged both of her Pokémon. "I am so proud of you!"
"Eevee!" Angel said.
It was now Sora's turn. Kairi gave her boyfriend a kiss on the cheek for luck. Sora smiled as the trainer with the lightning hairstyle has chosen Klinklang and Eelektross. Sora looked over to Pikachu.
"Okay, Pikachu, you're going in," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu said. He took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"And so are you, Grotle!" Sora called out. Grotle came on out to battle.
"That's an interesting choice, but you should know that Grass Type attacks won't even bother my Klinklang," the trainer with the lightning hairstyle said.
"I know. But nothing beats a challenge," Sora said.
"I like how you think! Klinklang! Elctric Terrain!" The trainer with the lightning hairstyle ordered. Klinklang creates a dome of yellow energy that surrounds it, Eelektross, Pikachu, and Grotle.
"What was that move that Pokémon just used?" Gaomon asked.
"It was Electric Terrain. It's a move that can power up Electric Type moves as long it stays in effect. It also keeps any Pokémon from going to sleep," Terra said.
"Eelektross! Charge Beam on Grotle! Klinkklang! Use your Gear Grind on Pikachu!" The trainer with the lightning hairstyle ordered. Klinklang fires several of the gears on its body at Pikachu as Eelektross right at Grotle, landing a heavy hit. "Klinklang! Use Thunderbolt on Pikachu! Eelektross! Use Flamethrower on Grotle!" Eelektross fires Flamethrower as Klinklang unleashed Thunderbolt right at their opponents. Sora knew Electric Terrain will work in his favor as well, so he had to take advantage of it while it was in play.
"Pikachu! Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu unleashed a powerful than normal Thunderbolt and it blocked Klinklang's Thunderbolt, but Flamethrower has hit Grotle. "Grotle! Use Synthesis!" Grotle began to heal himself from his injuries. "Now, use Razor Leaf!" Grotle fires Razor Leaf and it heads right towards Klinklang and Eelektross, landing heavy blows.
"Eelektross! Flamethrower again!" The trainer with the lightning hairstyle ordered and lands another hit with Flamethrower. Grotle hs taken a heavy hit with that Flamethrower. Grotle then started to evolve much to everyone's surprise. Grotle has now become a Torterra.
"Grotle just evolved into a Torterra!" Ventus said.
"Like the one Paul has," Biyomon said.
"Pikachu get on Torterra's back! And Torterra! Use Earthquake!" Sora ordered. Pikachu jumped right on the newly evolved continent Pokémon and slams into the ground. Klinklang has taken a heavy blow, but Eelektross was unaffected.
"That didn't hit Eelektross?" Gabumon asked.
"How come?" Guilmon asked.
"It's got to be Eelektross's ability, Levitate. It prevents Ground Type moves from ever hitting it," Terra said.
"Torterra! Use Leaf Storm!" Sora ordered. Torterra unleashed Leaf Storm and it lands a hit onto Eelektross. "Now, use Energy Ball!" Torterra fires Energy Ball and it finishes the EleFish Pokémon off. Sora has won it. Vorvomon and the Dracomon Brothers smiled since Mercurymon's plan was going perfectly.
"Yes! They won the battles!" Vorvomon said. The trio went up to Sora, Kairi, and Riku.
"Congrats, you three. You're even better than we thought," the trainer with the ice hairstyle said.
"Yeah. We had a good time battling you," the trainer with the fire hairstyle said.
"Well, you three are pretty good yourselves," Kairi said.
"Say, where are you heading?" The trainer with the lightning hairstyle asked.
"We're heading for Sunyshore City," Sora said.
"Well, then you might want to go down this way. There should be a shortcut," the trainer with the fire hairstyle said.
"That is helpful and thanks," Sora said.
"No, thank you," the trainer with the ice hairstyle said.
With that said, Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, Azurill, Meowth, and the Digimon went down the path the three trainers has pointed to. Vorvomon and the Dracomon Brothers came out of their hiding place.
"You pulled off throwing th battles better than we thought," Vorvomon said.
"It wasn't easy. Just give us what we agreed on," the trainer with the fire hairstyle said. A Bakemon appeared before them and presented them a bag full of gold coins.
"A bag full of gold coins, as agreed," Vorvomon said. "Don't spend it all in one place." The trio were happy to have their reward.
Over to Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, Azurill, Meowth, and the Digimon were marching down the path they were sent on, unaware that it was a trap.
"You think we can get to Sunyshore City from here?" Ventus asked.
"Well, we'll have to be since we came down this way," Meowth said. He starts to lead on. "I can just imagine it all right now."
"Gee, I don't remember letting Meowth lead ahead of us," Sora said.
"When he was with Team Rocket, he couldn't lead a group of Durant to a picnic," Kairi said. The group started laughing. Meowth gave off a sarcastic chuckle.
"You're so funny," Meowth said. Suddenly, the ground began shaking. "What the hell is going on?!"
"Armadillomon, I hope it's your stomach," Palmon said.
"Me too," Armadillomon said. The group all looked around to see where the rumbling was coming from.
Sora, Kairi, Riku, Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, and the Digimon all ended up getting sucked up into Sakkakumon, hovering above them.
"Sora!" Ventus called out.
"Kairi!" Aqua also gasped.
"Riku!" Naminé also gasped.
"Meowth! Pikachu! Angel! Eevee!" Terra exclaimed.
"What is that thing?" Ventus asked.
"I don't know, but I don't think I wanna know," Naminé said.
Sora, Kairi, Riku, Pikachu, Eevee, Angel, Meowth, and the Digimon all dog piled on each other.
"That has got to be a three for style on that landing," Sora said in a daze.
"What happened to us?" Gomamon asked.
"And where are we?" Hawkmon asked.
"I don't know, but I'm glad Ven, Naminé, Terra, and Aqua aren't in here with us," Sora said.
"But something is awfully screwy around here," Meowth said.
"You might be right, Meowth, because this doesn't look natural," Riku said.
"Eevee," Eevee agreed. Sora places his hand on one of a rock, but something was odd.
"And here's another one on the list of weird things. This feels really spongy," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said. Meowth went on further and he saw an eye right in front of him, unaware of a hand forming from a wall.
"What are you looking at?" Meowth asked. The hand pushes the scratch cat Pokémon through the eye.
"Did you say something?" Gatomon asked.
"No," Veemon replied.
"Wait, where's Meowth?" Lalamon asked.
"He was just here a second ago," Renamon asked.
"I can try to smell for him," Agumon said. He took a whiff, but he scrunched his nose, disgusted by the smell. "Phew! That's a nasty smell!" Guilmon tried and he got the same answer.
"Whoa, you aren't kidding!" Guilmon said.
"You don't think he got lost, do you?" Patamon asked.
"I hope not, because I'm hoping he got out by accident," Wormmon said.
"Me too," Kairi said.
Over to Meowth, he stumbles on out and he trips. He got back up on his feet.
"Hey, which one of ya jokers pushed me in?!" Meowth yelled. Meowth blinked twice. He found himself in what looks like a desert with rocks all piled up. "I'm no scientist, but I know this ain't what the inside of an eyeball is supposed to look like." He started to go further to find the rest of the group. "Guys! If this is a joke, then it's not funny, so cut the gag and come on out."
"It's no gag, I can assure you," a voice spoke. The scratch cat Pokémon looked around.
"Who said that?" Meowth asked.
He got his answer when a large figure appeared before him. He is a purple bipedal horse Digimon with long arms and his large forearms wrapped in magenta bandages. He has a long mane, three red horns, a long tail, and his limbs end in gold hooves. He wore a gold cuirass with spaulders which had a bonji on them, a red scarf, a green belt with three gold buckles, and gold anklets. He carried a giant gold conch strapped to its back by green scarves. The horse Digimon was laughing at him.
"What are you laughing at, pony boy?" Meowth asked.
"At you. What else could I be laughing at?" The horse Digimon asked.
"What? I got something on my face, don't I?" Meowth asked.
"You poor little creature. How I pity you," Meowth said. Meowth was surprised by what he was saying.
"You pity me? What makes you think you pity me, Mr. Ed?" Meowth asked.
"You have deluded yourself in believing that you have friends. Friends who has taken you in because you deserve a second chance. In reality, they took you in out of pity," the horse Digimon said. Meowth winced when he said that.
"What do you know?!" Meowth exclaimed.
"I know you better than you know yourself, Meowth. You're a poor excuse for a Pokémon. Your fellow Meowth all look down on you, because you have the ability to speak like a human. And the humans who took you under your wing, took pity on their former enemy; or should I say, still an enemy," the horse Digimon said.
"How do you know about that?" Meowth asked.
"I just said it to you. I know you better than you know yourself. For example, you had an opportunity to betray your so-called friends when Dr. Cortex offered you a chance to return to your glory days when you foolishly threw it away," the horse Digimon said. Meowth remembered the talk with Cortex and he knew he made the right call to refuse him.
"You don't know me as well as you think! Sora and Kairi said I made the right call to turn down that offer! They were nicer to me than Team Rocket ever was!" Meowth said.
"Kindess is a common tool to soften a Pokémon such as yourself," the horse Digimon said.
"I heard enough out of you, mule-face! Here comes my Fury Swipes!" Meowth said, jumping at scratching in the Digimon's chest. The Digimon smacks Meowth down on the ground.
Outside, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Naminé, and Azurill were looking at Sakkakumon from the outside.
"How are we going to get in there?" Ventus asked.
"I don't think I want to know," Aqua said. One of Sakkakumon's orbs starts glowing, showing Meowth and the horse Digimon.
"Meowth!" Ventus exclaimed.
"And he's taking on that Digimon by himself?" Aqua asked. Terra took out his Digidex and analyzed the horse Digimon.
"That Digimon with Meowth is called Indramon. And he's the Horse Deva. An Ultimate level Digimon. He attacks his blows his opponents with his Horn of Desolation," Terra said.
"Meowth is taking on an Ultimate level Digimon?! He'll get killed if he does that!" Naminé said.
"Azurill!" Azurill chirped.
Back inside, Indramon steps closer to Meowth.
"You were always a weakling, Meowth. You and your former colleagues always ending up losing and failing. It is no wonder Giovanni abandoned you," Indramon said.
"What did you say?!" Meowth exclaimed.
"Your so-called friends are no different than Giovanni. One of them pushed you in here with me. Because they knew they had an opportunity to be rid of you, and they took it," Indramon said. Meowth gasped.
"No! You're lying!" Meowth accused.
"Am I?" Indramon asked, laughing at Meowth again. Meowth was starting to remember the recent events with the group prior to being sucked in. Indramon smiled, seeing how his words are getting to him.
"This is easier than I have anticipated. The foolish little creature is beginning to doubt his friends," Indramon said in his thoughts.
"Could he be right? Were Sora and Kairi only pretending to be my friend all this time?" Meowth asked in his thoughts. "Was I really alone even now?"
Meowth remembered his days with Team Rocket when he, Jessie, and James were getting nothing but laughs. Meowth started to scream in anguish.
Hearing, Meowth's scream, Pikachu's ears perked up.
"Pika!" Pikachu said.
"Pikachu? What's wrong?" Sora asked.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu said, pointing to the eye.
"You mean, Meowth went through in there?" Sora asked.
"Pi," Pikachu replied, nodding.
"We're going through that?" Tentomon asked.
"We are," Sora said.
"I thought you were going to say that," Tentomon said. Sora and Pikachu went through first as Kairi and Angel followed them. Riku, Eevee, and the Digimon all followed as they marched through the desert.
"Okay, this is even weirder," Sora said. Meowth has let out more screams and the group followed it right to its source. They saw Meowth on his knees with Indramon in front of him. "A Digimon!"
"It's Indramon!" Gatomon said.
"Look at that. They come to laugh at you," Indramon said.
"What are you talking about?" Riku asked.
"I have been telling him the truth about you and himself. The truth is, Meowth is better off without you," Indramon said. Sora didn't like the answer the Horse Deva has shared.
"You told him that?! We took him in with us because we wanted to be his friends! The reason we did that because Mewoth deserved a whole lot better than the life he had before!" Sora said.
"That's not what he's been saying to me!" Meowth said.
"Forget what he said, Meowth! You remember what it was like before you joined up with us? We were never able to take the fight to Team Rocket without you, Meowth. And what about all the times Kairi brushed your fur and treated you nicely!" Sora said.
"Ignore him!" Indramon said.
"You were lost without us when we first met. And I'll admit, I was skeptical about trusting you at first because of what you did, but I was wrong to doubt you, and you don't know how glad I was how I was wrong about it! Don't throw away everything you did to be the Meowth we know and love because of what he says!" Sora said.
"Sora," Meowth said. He remembered their time together and remembered the rest of the Hoenn journey, as well as their battle with Team Rocket, their inter dimensional escapades, and everything leading up to today. "You're right, Sora. You guys are the best thing that's ever happened to me. And I have to be as stupid as I used to be to believe a word some dorky donkey says!" Indramon scowled as he attempts to crush Meowth when Guilmon rushed in and started to Digivolve.
"Guilmon Warp Digivolve to... WarGrowlmon !" He saved Meowth by grabbing his hooves.
"Fool! I almost had him and you ruined everything!" Indramon accused.
"You think you can spew some lies into a friend, then you have already lost! Atomic Blaster!" WarGrowlmon fires his attack and it destroys the Horse Deva completely. WarGrowlmon reverts back to Guilmon once the fight was over.
"And good riddance," Meowth said. He sighed. "I can't believe I was letting him get to me. And then you came and saved me from what I would have been."
"We had to Mewoth. After all, we're your friends and friends looks out for each other," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Yeah, I know he's right, Pikachu. And thanks. I'll never doubt our friendship again. I actually love you guys," Meowth said, with tears coming down from his eyes.
Suddenly, three eyes appears and pushes Sora, Kairi, Riku, Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, Meowth, and the Digimon right through. Sora, Pikachu, Meowth, Agumon, Gabumon, Tentomon, Palmon, and Gomamon go through one as Kairi, Angel, Veemon, Patamon, Gatomon, Armadillomon, Hawkmon, and Wormmon in another one. Riku, Eevee, Guilmon, Terriermon, Renamon, Lopmon, Gaomon, and Lalamon were pushed in the third one. What nasty surprises does Sakkakumon have in store for everyone inside?
