Taking place in an alternate universe, Sora dreams of becoming a Pokémon master. He does get Pikachu and Kairi joins him in this story. Sora and Kairi travels together in the world of Pokémon having all sorts of adventures. A mixture of adventure, romance, and comedy.

398. Riku's Darkest Memory

Episode 398: Riku's Darkest Memory

Where we last left off...

Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all. If you're a magic mirror, then you better say it's Ranamon or else you'll be in hell. And no, I'm not talking about Snow White and there are no seven dwarfs, but there are is a prince charming for Kairi. Ranamon had learned that Kairi has entered her part of Sakkakumon.

Over to Sora's group, they had a run-in with several MegaSeadramon and WaruSeadramon being led by MetalSeadramon. Agumon, Gabumon, Biyomon, Tentomon, Palmon, and Gomamon Digivolved into their Mega forms and dispatched them and proceeded in finding their friends.

Over to Kairi, the FanBeemon attempted to capture her for Ranamon, only to end up being caught in their own trap. Seeing how nice is being towards them, they repay her kindness by giving her some of their honey treats, much to the annoyance of a jealous Warrior of Water, so she takes matters into her own hands by bringing out an evil apple to make her live her worst fear. Once she took a bite, she was living her nightmare come true. Veemon, Patamon, Gatomon, Hawkmon, Armadillomon, and Wormmon attempted to fight her, but she has easily overpowered the Digimon.

After arriving in Ranamon's area, Sora, Pikachu, Meowth, Agumon, Gabumon, Biyomon, Tentomon, Palmon, and Gomamon met up with Kazemon and learned of Sakkakumon. Just as they were looking for their friends, Sora sensed Kairi's sadness and pain through his aura, so he came to her aide after Kazemon, Biyomon, and Tentomon had arrived to distract Ranamon.

Sora managed to snap his girlfriend out of her sadness by talking some sense into her and giving her a kiss to undo the apple's affect. Enraged, Ranamon attempted to kill both of Sora and Kairi, but Kazemon decided to finish what she started. Kazemon and Ranamon Slide Evolved into their Beast Warrior forms and duked it out for one last showdown. Zephyrmon manages to finish off Calmaramon once and for all. Not an ideal fairytale, but at least the knight came through for his princess.

And here we are coming in...

After the fight, the FanBeemon had left and they decided to set up their own Kairi fan club in the Digital World, worshipping her for her beauty and kindness.

As they entered another hall inside of Sakkakumon, Sora starts filling her in about their current situation.

"I can't believe that we've been inside of a Digimon this whole time," Kairi said.

"I know. It's weird," Sora said.

"Don't let down your guard. Just about anything can happen in here," Kazemon said.

"Right," Sora and Kairi both said. They have entered through another eyeball portal and entered a frozen wasteland. Just then, a pack of Digimon resembling Garurumon suddenly appeared. They have perwinkle fir and dark blue stripes.

"Garurumon?" Sora asked.

"They're not Garurumon, Sora. They're Gururmon," Gabumon said. Kairi took out her Digidex and analyzed the wolf-like Digimon.

"Gururumon. They look like Garurumon, but the only difference is the color of their fur and stripes. Gururumon are fiendish Digimon that lives in the dark, and one Gururumon is a nuisance who causes trouble everywhere. They have attacks like Chaos Blaster and Karate Kilo Byte," Kairi said.

"Just where do you think you're going?" One of the Gururumon asked.

"Just looking for our friends, so if you would let us pass, we'll be on our way," Sora said.

"You're not going anywhere," the first Gururumon said.

"We can take you on!" Gabumon said, Digivolving. "Gabumon Digivolve to... Garurumon!" The Gururumon growled at him and Garurumon growled back at his evil counterparts.

"Isn't that cute? This little puppy actually thinks he stands a chance against us all by himself!" Another Gururumon taunted.

"He's not by himself!" Armadillomon said. He started to Digivolve as well. "Armadillomon Digivolve to... Ankylomon!" Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Infernape!" Kairi took a Pokéball out and threw it.

"Go! Froslass!" Kairi called out.

Infernape and Froslass both came out to fight the Gururumon.

"Infernape! Use Flamethrower!" Sora ordered.

"Froslass! Ice Beam!" Kairi ordered.

Infernape and Froslass fire their attacks and they struck the Gururumon.

"Hurricane Wave!" Kazemon shouted, unleashing her tiny tornadoes from her fingertips. The wind attack struck the Gururumon.

"Tail Hammer!" Ankylomon shouted, swinging his mace tail. Garurumon and the Gururumon leader glared at each other. They lunged at each other, clawing and biting at each other. One tries to overcome the other, so Gururumon brings Garurumon down to the ground and opens his mouth.

"Chaos Blaster!" Gururumon shouted, firing an intense blue flame right at Garurumon.

"Howling Blaster!" Garurumon shouted, firing a similar blue flame from his mouth and they clash with each other. Both have held on, each briefly trying to push back the other. Garurumon manages to overcome Gururumon's attack and it struck him in the face. Just then, the rest of the Warrior Digimon appeared and brought the pack to its knees. Garurumon gave the finishing blow to his evil twin. The entire Gururumon dissolves into bits of data.

"That deals with them," Meowth said.

"So you think," a familiar voice spoke. They all turned and saw Vorvomon flying around.

"Vorvomon!" The group exclaimed.

"I have you where I want you!" Vorvomon said.

"What are you talking about?" Sora asked.

"I think it's better if I just show you!" Vorvomon spreads his wings out. "Vorvomon Double Warp Digivolve to-" Vorvomon transformed into a large dragon-like Digimon, but has much larger wings and the magma on his body is burning even hotter than before. He has a much larger fork at the end of the tail, and crimson spikes on his head, arms, legs, and wings. He also has large crimson fangs. "Volcanicdramon!" The large dragon Digimon roared loudly. Sora took out his Digidex and analyzed him.

"Volcanicdramon. An earth dragon Digimon, and a Mega level. His attacks are Volcanic Flare and Blazing Glide," Sora said.

"We can take you on!" Agumon said.

"We did it before and we can again," Veemon said. The Digimon all started to Digivolve.

"Agumon Double Warp Digivolve to... WarGreymon!"

"Gabumon Double Warp Digivolve to... MetalGarurumon!"

"Biyomon Double Warp Digivolve to... Phoenixmon!"

"Tentomon Double Warp Digivolve to... HerculesKabuterimon!"

"Palmon Double Warp Digivolve to... Rosemon!"

"Gomamon Double Warp Digivolve to... Vikemon!"

"Patamon Double Warp Digivolve to... Seraphimon!"

"Gatomon Warp Digivolve to... Ophanimon!"

"Veemon Double Warp Digivolve to... UlforceVeedramon!"

"Hawkmon Double Warp Digivolve to... ThunderAquilamon!"

"Armadillomon Double Warp Digivolve to... HeavyAnkylomon!"

"Wormmon Double Warp Digivolve to... VenomStingmon!"

"Now, we're on equal terms," MetalGarurumon said.

"For now anyway. Now, get ready to meet your doom! Volcanic Flare!" Volcanicdramon shouted, spewing scorching hot flames from his mouth. The attack struck UlforceVeedramon, HeavyAnkylomon, and Rosemon.

"Forbidden Temptation!" Rosemon shouted, unleashing several flower petals. Volcanicdramon burns the petals to cinders and swings his tail at her. Rosemon is struck along with Ophanimon and ThunderAquilamon.

"Man, I hope Riku is taking this better than we are right now," Sora said in his thoughts.

Over to Riku, Eevee, Guilmon, Terriermon, Renamon, Lopmon, Gaomon, and Lalamon, they have entered another area after making it out against Slayerdramon and Breakdramon. They saw nothing all around.

"They're not in here either," Riku said.

"Where do you think they have gone?" Lalamon asked.

"We got to keep looking. I'm they're around here somewhere," Riku said.

"They could be, or maybe not," a familiar voice spoke. Riku, Eevee, Guilmon, Terriermon, Renamon, Lopmon, Gaomon, and Lalamon all turned to see Devimon in front of them.

"Devimon!" Riku growled.

"So, you're in here, too!" Gaomon said.

"I knew you had to be here along with the Dracomon Brothers," Renamon said.

"And I knew they will fail to defeat you. But I also knew they would soften you up first," Devimon said.

"If it's a fight you want, then you're going to have one!" Guilmon said.

"Indeed it is. It's high time to put an end to the loathsome Resistance and end the war!" Devimon said. "Touch of Evil!" Devimon reached his right claw out to slash at Riku and Eevee. Lopmon jumped and he took the hit instead.

"Lopmon!" Riku gasped.

"Eevee!" Eevee added.

"Served him right for getting in my way!" Devimon said.

"We can take you on here and now, Devimon!" Guillmon said.

"And we can prove it to you, too!" Gaomon said.

Riku took out his Pokéballs and threw them and lets out Incineroar, Toxicroak, Luxray, Urshifu, and Lucario as the Digimon all started to Digivolve.

"Guilmon Digivolve to... Growlmon!"

"Terriermon Digivolve to... Garogomon!"

"Renamon Digivolve to... Kyubimon!"

"Lopmon Digivolve to... Turuiemon!"

"Gaomon Digivolve to... Gaogamon!"

"Lalamon Digivolve to... Sunflowmon!"

Devimon laughed as he readied himself.

"This sure makes it even more fun! Have at you!" Devimon said. Just then, Agunimon, Lobomon, Kumamon, Beetlemon, and Loweemon join right in the fight.

"Then, let's make it even more fun, Devimon!" Lobomon said.

"The more the merrier," Devimon said.

Agunimon, "Pyro Darts!"

Lobomon, "Howling Laser!" Lobomon charges up his laser and fires right at Devimon. He swipes his claw to block it.

Kumamon, "Crystal Breeze!" Kumamon blows a cold wind from his mouth.

Beetlemon," Lightning Blitz!" Beetlemon charged with his horn emitting lightning.

Loweemon, "Shadow Lance!" He swings his lance at the fallen angel Digimon. He avoids them and he spreads his wings.

Devimon, "Leather Wing!" He flaps hiswings and fires a destructive energy from them. They all were struck hard. "Had enough?"

"Not even in the slightest!" Agunimon said.

"Take us down as much as you want, we're just going to get back up!" Beetlemon said.

"You are either brave or foolish to challenge me!" Devimon said. "But I shall make your endings less suffering if you would surrender."

"There's no way we would believe that, Devimon," Gaogamon said.

"I'm with him! Garogo Laser!" Gargomon shouted, firing his lasers at the fallen angel Digimon.

Outside of Sakkakumon, Naminé, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Lucas, Dawn, and Azurill were watching the two separate battles occurring at once.

"In one it's Vorvomon and he Digivolved into Mega level and there's Devimon," Ventus said.

"This is out of hand. Just what are they planning in there?" Lucas asked.

"I don't know, but I can only hope everything will be okay after those fights," Aqua said.

"I don't think that's going well for us lately," Terra said.

"Terra's right. I have a feeling that if Ranamon is in there, then we might deal with Mercurymon or Duskmon next," Naminé said.

"Azu," Azurill chirped.

"I hope you're wrong for their sakes, Naminé, because I'm having enough of this," Dawn said.

"Me too, because I don't think I want to know what Myotismon has planned with that monster," Ventus said.

"Me neither," Dawn said.

Back with the fight with Volcanicdramon, WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon came at Volcanicdramon, but he swings his tail and hits them both.

"Try as you may, but nothing you do will ever be enough to stop us!" Volcanicdramon said.

"Try me! Hurricane Wave!" Kazemon shouted, unleashing her wind attack and struck Volcanicdramon. "Your turn, guys!"

"Right!" HeavyAnkylomon said. "Spike Rocket Rain!" HeavyAnkylomon fires his spike rockets and they headed right towards Volcanicdramon. He dodges them and he takes in a deep breath.

"Volcanic Flare!" Volcanicdramon shouted, spewing hot flames from his mouth. HeavyAnkylomon gets struck hard and his whole body turns red from the heat.

"Leave him alone! Strike of the Seven Stars!" Seraphimon shouted, sending seven orbs of light right at the volcanic dragon Digimon. Ophanimon, Rosemon, ThunderAquilamon, and VenomStingmon joined right in.

Ophanimon, "Sefirot Crystal!"

Rosemon, "Forbidden Temptation!"

VenomStingmon, "Poison Laser!"

ThunderAquilamon, "Golden Lightning Blast!"

Ophanimon, Rosemon, VenomStingmon, and ThunderAquilamon fire their attacks and they struck Volcanicdramon.

Sora and Kairi were about to join in when four swords came raining down. The swords surrounds Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth.

"Now what?" Sora asked. Laughter is heard when a humanoid Digimon appeared before them. He calls the swords back to himself.. He wore a flamboyant, multi-colored outfit as well as a mask hiding most of his facial features, blue ribbons on its outfit and a ruff around his neck. He has four swords on the "Magic Box" on its back, the pommels of which are designed after the four traditional suits for playing cards: "Clubs", "Diamonds", "Hearts", and "Spades".

"Another one?!" Meowth asked. Kairi took out her Digidex and analyzed him.

"It says his name is Piedmon. He's a wizard Digimon, and a Mega level. It says he's a ruthless Digimon who pierces his opponents with Trump Sword," Kairi said.

"My, my, aren't you the clever one. It was a good thing Myotismon has called me over here," Piedmon said.

"I was wondering when you were going to show up," Volcanicdramon said.

"I show up when it seems fun and it is fun," Piedmon said. He drew his four swords. "Trump Sword!" He threw them and they struck Ophanimon, Rosemon, VenomStingmon, and ThunderAquilamon.

"Pikachu! Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu fires Thunderbolt at the clown-like Digimon, but he grinned.

"Clown Trick!" Piedmon shouted, redirecting Pikachu's Thunderbolt and it struck Pikachu, much to the dismay of Sora, Kairi, Angel, and Meowth.

"Pikachu!" Sora, Kairi, and Meowth exclaimed.

"Eevee!" Angel gasped.

Pidemon laughed right at their dismay.

"Just seeing you in utter despair is purely entertaining!" Piedmon said.

"You're a horrible Digimon!" Kairi said.

"Flattery will get you nowhere!" Piedmon said. He drew out one of this swords and threw it. UlforceVeedramon swipes at the sword and points his weapon at Piedmon.

"Try me out, Piedmon!" UlforceVeedramon said.

"With pleasure!" Piedmon said. "Clown Trick!" He sends out a shockwave right at the blue knight Digimon, but he jumps out of the way.

"Victory Sword!" UlforceVeedramon shouted, coming at Piedmon with his saber extending. He swipes it right at Piedmon. He takes out his four four swords.

"Trump Sword!" Piedmon, shouted, throwing them. WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon jumped right in. WarGreymon blocks the swords with his shield, protecting UlforceVeedramon. MetalGarurumon fires his lasers and they knock the swords into the air. They then inpale the ground.

"Nice Try, Piedmon! It won't work!" WarGreymon said.

"Not if I try even harder," Piedmon said. He comes at the two Beast Warriors, ready to bring them down.

Back to Riku and his group, Devimon was bringing down the Champion level, the Warrior Digimon, and Riku's Pokémon, but they weren't willing to throw in the towel.

"You are brave, but it is useless," Devimon said.

"Not really," Agunimon said. The Warrior Digimon all started to Slide Evolve.

"Agunimon Slide Evolution... BurningGreymon!"

"Lobomon Slide Evolution... KendoGarurumon!"

"Beetlemon Slide Evolution... MetalKabuterimon!"

"Kumamon Slide Evolution... Korikakumon!"

"Loweemon Slide Evolution... JagerLoweemon!"

"Let's all attack him at once! Growlmon, you're first!" BurningGreymon said. Gowlmon nodded.

Growlmon, "Pyro Blaster!"

KendoGarurumon, "Lupine Laser!"

Korikakumon, "Avalance Axes!"

MetalKabuterimon, "Electron Cannon!"

Gargomon, "Gargo Laser!"

Turuiemon, "Gauntlet Claw!"

Kyubimon, "Dragon Wheel!"

Gaogamon, "Dash Double Claw!"

Sunflowmon, "Sunshine Beam!"

JagerLoweemon, "Ebony Blast!"

"Eevee! Shadow Ball! Lucario! Aura Sphere! Luxray! Charge Beam! Toxicroak! Sludge Wave!" Riku ordered. The combined attacks of the Pokémon and Digimon all head right towards Devimon and they all struck him hard. He turned to Incineroar and Urshifu. "Incineroar! Fire Punch! Urshifu! Wicked Blow!" Incineroar and Urshifu lands a strong hit onto Devimon. BurningGreymon steps right in.

"Now, it's my turn! Wildfire Tsunami!" BurningGreymon shouted, unleashing a wave of fire and it struck Devimon hard. He fell to the ground, hoping it might have finished him off, but the fallen angel Digimon stood back up on his feet.

"Is that the best you can do?!" Devimon shouted.

"He's still standing after taking that hit?!" Riku exclaimed.

"Eevee," Eevee added.

"I have to admit, I underestimated you, but it's a mistake I won't make again. But I'll have to anti up the playing field!" Devimon said, starting to Digivolve. Riku gave a disgruntled glare as Devimon was Digivolving.

"Devimon Digivolve to-" Devimon has taken on a brand new form. Devimon's new form is a mechanized devil with huge bat wings, a horned golden mask with sixeyes, and gold metal claws. The mask it wears on his face. "NeoDevimon!" He laughed as he spreads his wings. "How do you like me now?" NeoDevimon laughed some more.

Outside of Sakkakumon, Naminé, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Lucas, Dawn, and Azurill were stunned to see Devimon had Digivolved.

"Devimon Digivolved!" Dawn gasped.

"Now he's even stronger than before," Terra said.

"Unless Growlmon and the others Digivolve too, then it's going to be over for them quick," Aqua said.

Growlmon and the other Champion level Digimon started to Digivolve.

"Growlmon Digivolve to... WarGrowlmon!"

"Gargomon Digivolve to... Rapidmon!"

"Kyubimon Digivolve to... Taomon!"

"Turuiemon Digivolve to... Antylamon!"

"Gaogamon Digivolve to... MachGaogamon!"

"Sunflowmon Digivolve to... Lilamon!"

"Digivolve as much as you want, you'll never be a match for me!" NeoDevimon said.

"Never say never, NeoDevimon!" Riku said.

"Vee!" Eevee said.

Back with the fight with Volcanicdramon and Piedmon, the fight between the Megas rages on. HerculesKabuterimon rammed right into Volcanicdramon with all his might, but he pushes the Mega form of Tentomon right off.

"Give up while you can, bug!" Volcanicdramon said.

"I won't!" HerculesKabuterimon said.

"I gave you a chance!" Volcanicdramon said. "Volcanic Flare!" He fires his attack right at HerculesKabuterimon and he goes backwards. "Have some more! Glide Blaze!" Volcanicdramon glides right towards HerculesKabuterimon with his body surrounded with scorching hot flames. HerculesKabuterimon flies to avoid him.

"Try this for size! Mega Electro Shocker!" HerculesKabuterimon shouted, unleashing his attack. Volcanicdramon was struck hard by the powerful attack. Vikemon came right at him.

"I'm going to cool you off! Arctic Blizzard!" Vikemon shouted, unleashing his attack right at the volcanic dragon Digimon.

WarGreymon, MetalGarurumon, and UlforceVeedramon continued their fight with Piedmon as he swiped his swords down, but both of WarGreymon and UlforceVeedramon blocked as MetalGarurumon rammed right into the evil clown Digimon.

"Not bad, you three, but not good enough! Clown Trick!" Piedmon shouted, bringing out a banana cream pie and threw it right in MetalGarurumon's face. "Clown Trick!" Piedmon took out an extending boxing glove and lands a punch onto UlforceVeedramon. WarGreymon came at Piedmon with his clawed gauntlet, but he gave him a punch and a kick. Piedmon took out a knife to throw at him, but Meowth gave him a scratch on his back. "Here kitty!" Piedmon grabbed him.

"Meowth!" WarGreymon cried.

"Let Meowth go, Piedmon!" Sora called out. WarGreymon, MetalGarurumon, and UlforceVeedramon were about to step further when Piedmon took out a knife.

"Ah-ah-ah! You touch me and I turn the kitty cat into a doll by removing all his bones," Piedmon threatened.

"You wouldn't dare!" MetalGarurumon growled.

"Take his word for it!" Meowth pleaded. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel were helpless to what they were seeing.

Back with the battle with NeoDevimon, the Ultimate level Digimon clashed with NeoDevimon as he sends out his claws, clashing with WarGrowlmon's claws.

"Guilty Claw!" NeoDevimon sends out a much powerful version of Touch of Evil. It struck WarGrowlmon hard.

"Thousand Spells!" Taomon shouted, sending out her scrolls.

"Winning Knuckle!" MachGaogamon shouted, sending out his fist. NeoDevimon vanishes and he reappeared behind MachGaogamon. "Uh-oh."

"Guilty Claw!" NeoDevimon shouted, hitting him. He laughed.

"Try as you may, but none of you are a match for me!" NeoDevimon said.

"We're than a match for you!" Korikakumon said. "Frozen Arrowheads!" He sends the arrowheads right at NeoDevimon, grabbing him. "JagerLoweemon!"

"Right!" JagerLoweemon said. He skates further towards NeoDevimon. "Dark Master!" He takes on a dark aura of a lion and rammed right into him, making Korikakumon let go of him.

"Incineroar! Bulk Up and use Fire Punch!" Riku ordered. Incineroar flexed his muscles and then came at NeoDevimon with his fist emitting fire. Incineroar lands a punch onto him. "Now, use Throat Chop!" Incineroar lunged at the evil Digimon, but he grabs him and tossed him down to the ground. "Incineroar!"

"Pathetic. Your Pokémon will never be a match for me. They're weak, just like you," NeoDevimon said.

"You don't know anything!" Riku stated.

"Oh no? Perhaps you can enlighten me," NeoDevimon said, grabbing Riku.

"Eevee!" Eevee exclaimed and fires Shadow Ball, but NeoDevimon didn't even feel that.

"Your memories. Let me see your darkest memory! Show me!" NeoDevimon shouted. Darkness course through Riku, making him scream. NeoDevimon looked right into his mind.

We look through Riku's eyes as he woke up one night and he hears his mother yelling from downstairs.

"I keep telling you not to come back here!" Riku's mother yelled.

"I have the right to see my own son if I want to, don't I?" A man's voice asked. Riku gets up and he follows it down and he sees his mother and a man who Riku knows is his father. He has black hair.

"Not after what you did! You cheated on me with that whore even before we were married!" Yuna yelled.

"I told you, she came on to me!" Riku's father claimed.

"You seem really happy to have her in our bed when I caught you having sex with her while Riku was at my mother's house!" Yuna yelled.

"It wasn't like that, I swear!" Riku's father said.

"I knew exactly what it was! How stupid do you think I am?" Yuna accused.

"Stupid enough if you're going to stop me from getting Riku to live with me!" Riku's father said.

"Just so he could grow up into a selfish, perverted bastard like you? I don't think so!" Yuna yelled.

"Just so he could be a man!" Riku's father said.

"Get out of my house or I'll call the police!" Yuna yelled.

"Like hell you are!" Riku's father said, grabbing her and started to beat her. Riku ran back to his room and locked the door behind him and went into the closet, shaking with fear.

Riku growled as he glared right at NeoDevimon.

"Get the hell out of my head!" Riku yelled.

"How interesting. I never would have expected this," NeoDevimon said. He started laughing.

"Try this on for size! Rapid Fi-" Rapidmon was about fire when Lilamon stopped him.

"No, Rapidmon, you'll hit Riku!" Lilamon pleaded.

"She's right, we can't hurt Riku," Antylamon said.

"That's right. If you attack me, you'll attack your friend," NeoDevimon said.

"Let him go!" WarGrowlmon demanded.

"Only if you surrender to me, and I might request Myotismon to allow you to live," NeoDevimon said.

"There's no way we would believe anything you say!" KendoGarurumon said.

"You don't believe me? Such a pity," NeoDevimon said. He turned to Riku. "What else do you have buried?"

"Don't you dare!" Riku yelled. NeoDevimon looked deeper into Riku's memories.

We take a look through Riku's eyes once again, and this time, Riku is being taken from school by Riku's father.

"Where are going?" Riku asked.

"Shut up! Don't ask questions!" Riku's father told his son.

"Kidnapper!" A woman's voice yelled. Riku's father placed him in the back with Officer Jenny coming right at him.

"Stop in the name of the law!" Officer Jenny ordered. Riku's father drove off with the police giving chase.

We go even further and see that Riku's father has placed him in a room and turned on the TV.

"You're going to sit in here and be quiet! If you make a sound, then you're in trouble," Riku's father said.

"I want to go home," Riku said, earning a smack from his father.

"You are home! Now shut up!" Riku's father said, closing the door.

NeoDevimon laughed as he has seen more of Riku's past.

"Just how long were you hiding it in your heart?" NeoDevimon asked.

"That's none of your business!" Riku said.

"Oh, isn't it? Does your sweet little Naminé know of your father kidnapping you from your mother?" NeoDevimon asked. This struck a cord with Riku.

Back to the fight, Phoenixmon, Kazemon, HerculesKabuerimon, Rosemon, Vikemon, Seraphimon, ThunderAquilamon, VenomStingmon, and HeavyAnkylomon continued their fight with Volcanicdramon while WarGreymon, MetalGarurumon, and UlforceVeedramon continued their fight with Piedmon. Kazemon started to Slide Evolve.

"Kazemon Slide Evolution... Zephyrmon!"

"Let's take him all at once!" Phoenixmon suggested.

"Right!" All of the other Digimon agreed.

Zephyrmon, "Hurricane Gale!"

Phoenixmon, "Crimson Flare!"

Rosemon, "Forbidden Tempation!"

Seraphimon, "Strike of the Seven Stars!"

HeavyAnkylomon, "Spike Rocket Rain!"

ThunderAquilamon, "Golden Lightning Blast!"

Ophanimon, "Sefirot Crystal!"

All of their attacks headed right towards Volcanicdramon and they all struck him at once, hurting him.

"What is this?!" Volcanicdramon exclaimed.

"Clown Trick!" Piedmon shouted, sending out a shockwave, striking WarGreymon and UlforceVeedramon. "Trump Sword!" He threw his swords and struck MetalGarurumon. "You cannot hope to defeat me. Not as long as I have my hostage here."

"You're the lowest of the low, clown!" Meowth said.

"What can I say? It pays to make the weak whimper, especially when they can't do a thing without hurting you," Piedmon said. Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it.

"Go! Porygon2!" Sora called out. Porygon2 comes out. "Use Psychic to pull Meowth from Piedmon's hand!" Porygon2 uses Psychic to pull Meowth from the clown Digimon's hold.

"Thanks for the save!" Meowth said.

"WarGreymon, UlforceVeedramon, MetalGarurumon! Meowth's safe!" Sora said.

"You little party pooper! How dare you spoil my fun! You'll die for that!" Piedmon said, taking the knife he had at and threw it. Porygon2 fires Tri-Attack and destroys the knife completely. Porygon2 started to evolve. Porygon2 has now become Porygon-Z

"Porygon2 evolved into Porygon-Z! Porygon-Z! Lock-On and use Zap Cannon!" Porygon-Z locks onto Piedmon and fires Zap Cannon right at him. He blocks with his hand.

"You brat! You are more of a pain than I thought!" Piedmon said.

"Forget him, Piedmon! You have us to deal with!" UlforceVeedramon said. He swings his saber. "Victory Sword!" Piedmon drew a sword and blocked it. UlforceVeedramon overpowers Piedmon. So he, WarGreymon, and MetalGarurumon prepared to give him the final blow.

"Playtime's over," MetalGarurumon said.

"It's over when I say it's over!" Piedmon said.

"No, it's over when we say it's over! Pikachu! Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered.

"Angel! Use Swift!" Kairi ordered.

WarGreymon, "Terra Force!"

MetalGarurumon, "Metal Wolf Claw!"

UlforceVeedramon, "Ray of Victory!"

Their combined attacks came too fast for Piedmon to block or dodge and he got hit hard as Piedmon was hurt bad. Volcanicdramon saw the pain Piedmon was in.

"Piedmon!" Volcanicdramon exclaimed.

"Now to deal with you now!" WarGreymon said.

"No, no, no!" Volcanicdramon exclaimed.

"Yes, yes, yes," UlforceVeedramon said.

MetalGarurumon, "Metal Wolf Claw!"

UlforceVeedramon, "Ray of Victory!"

Zephyrmon, "Hurricane Gale!"

Phoenixmon, "Crimson Flare!"

The Digimon all attacked right at the same time and they struck him hard. Volcanicdramon reverts back to Vorvomon and he goes flying, having to lose again. He is forced out of Sakakkumon, and he goes flying.

"Foiled again!" Vorvomon exclaimed.

"That'll teach you," WarGreymon said, reverting back to Agumon. Piedmon laughed.

"Whatcha laughing about?" Meowth asked.

"Oh, you thought you won, didn't you? But the truth is, you haven't really won. You still have Devimon and Mercurymon to contend with," Piedmon said.

"We took on some of your friends, so Devimon and Mercurymon will be next," Sora said.

"Oh, I don't doubt that you'll be bumping into them next. I can stake my swords your silver-haired friend is dealing with one of them right about now. And who knows what they might be doing," Piedmon said.

"You think Riku will fall for your friends' tricks than the joke's on you!" Sora said.

"That's right. Riku is the strongest trainer we know," Kairi said.

"Don't get ahead of yourselves, lovebirds. You might have to deal with one of them and when you do, you won't be leaving here alive. I can guarantee it. And even if you do defeat them in battle, Myotismon is the one who really won!" Piedmon laughed as he dissolves into bits of data.

"Not if we have anything to say about it," Sora said. An eyeball appeared, so Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and the Digimon entered through. They made it their mission to get to Riku before something bad could happen.

Back to Riku, he is in the mercy of NeoDevimon as he looked into the surpressed memories of Riku's father.

"Your mother failed to protect you when your own father kidnapped you. Just how did it make you feel? Were you scared and alone when you were in his clutches? Did it make you feel helpless? Did it make you feel weak? Did it make you feel like nothing?" NeoDevimon asked.

"SHUT UP!" Riku yelled.

"Admit it, you were couldn't escape even when you wanted to, because your father will eventually find you, yes?" NeoDevimon asked.

"You're not going to break me, NeoDevimon! I won't let you get to me!" Riku said.

"And what makes you think so? I'm already doing that," NeoDevimon said.

"I'll admit that you are right about one thing; I was scared, because he hurt my mother. I hated him for it, and for the fact he took me against my will. But the police came to the door and pulled me out of that bastard's house," Riku said.

(Flashback)

Young Riku was rescued by Officer Jenny and his father was arrested for kidnapping and assault and battery. Yuna hugged her son tight and he hugged her back.

"I am sorry, honey. I promise, I will never let him hurt you again," Yuna promised.

(Flashback ended)

"My father died just after he tried to escape from prison just to get to me again. If I had a chance to tell that son-of-a-bitch how I feel about him, I wouldn't waste any time telling him off, but it wouldn't have mattered because he's still my father. And that experience only made me stronger than I ever was. I'm more of a man than he ever was in his entire life! So, I should be thanking you for reminding me of that!" Riku said. NeoDevimon growled.

"And I should be thanking you for making me not regret your death!" NeoDevimon said, readying his claws to kill Riku. Eevee lands a Quick Attack as Incineroar grabbed Riku in his arms as Urshifu uses Wicked Blow.

"Riku's safe! Now!" MetalKabuterimon said.

KendoGarurumon, "Lupine Laser!"

Rapidmon, "Rapid Fire!"

Taomon, "Talisman of Light!"

Antylamon, "Treasure Axe!"

MachGaogamon, "Gaoga Tornado!"

Lilamon, "Lila Shower!"

JagerLoweemon, "Ebony Blast!"

All of the attacks all lock into NeoDevimon and he is forced out of Sakkakumon. The Ultimate level Digimon all revert back to their Rookie forms as Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and the rest of the Digimon has shown up.

"Riku!" Sora said. Riku turned to Sora with a smile.

"Sora, Kairi, you're okay. I knew you'd be," Riku said.

"Right back at you, Riku," Sora said.

"So, who did you end up fighting?" Kairi asked.

"It was Devimon, but he Digivolved. Tried to break me, but I broke free," Riku said.

"So now, it's Mercurymon left to deal with," Sora said.

"How did you figure that?" Guilmon asked.

"Piedmon mentioned he was in this thing. I had that feeling ever since we bumped into Ranamon," Sora said. An eyeball opened up.

"Hey, it's a way out," Meowth said.

"We can escape," Terriermon said.

"No. Mercurymon has to be dealt with," Sora said.

"Sora?" Kairi asked.

"If Mercurymon is behind this, then we'll have to end it here and now," Sora said.

"You're right, Sora. If Sakakkumon is linked to him, then the only way is to destroy him," Agumon said.

"How are we going to do it?" Meowth asked.

"I'm going after Mercurymon and ending this. You guys head out," Sora said.

"Count us in, Sora!" Veemon said.

"We'll have a better shot if we work together!" Veemon said.

"We might not know what he's cooking up, but let's ruin it for him!" Guilmon said.

"Okay. Agumon, Veemon, Guilmon, and Agunimon are with me. The rest can exit out," Sora said. Kairi would have objected to the plan, but she knew he was right and the other Digimon were exhausted from the previous fights.

"Sora, be careful," Kairi said, giving him a kiss on the lips. He kisses her back.

"I'll come back safe," Sora said. Pikachu and Angel nuzzle each other as Pikachu joins up with his trainer. Everyone except for Sora, Pikachu, Agumon, Veemon, Guilmon, and Agunimon have prepared to finish what Mercurymon has started.
