Episode 399: Darkness Before the Dawn
Last time...
After reuniting with each other and dispatching Ranamon, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Meowth, Angel, and the Digimon went to search for Riku, Eevee, and the rest of the Digimon when they were encountered by Vorvomon. He Digivolved right into Volcanicdramon and he ends up getting back up from a Digimon called Piedmon.
Over to Riku, he is encountered by Devimon. The scales were in their favor when Agunimon, Lobomon, Loweemon, Kumamon, and Beetlemon has shown up, but all that changed when Devimon Digivolved into NeoDevimon and had Riku in his mercy.
Back with Sora and Kairi, things weren't so well, especially with Piedmon taking Meowth as a hostage, but luckily Porygon2 knew how to use Psychic and pull Meowth to safety, and having it evolve into a Porygon-Z.
NeoDevimon takes a look into Riku's memory and learned about his father being a dirty cheater. Riku wasn't going to let him have his way when he easily broke out of NeoDevimon's torture attempt, so the combined efforts of his Pokémon and with WarGrowlmon, BurningGreymon, KendoGarurumon, Rapidmon, Taomon, Antylamon, MetalKabuterimon, MachGaogamon, Lilamon, Korikakumon, and JagerLoweemon, NeoDevimon was forced out.
Phoenixmon, HerculesKabuterimon, Rosemon, Vikemon, Seraphimon, Ophanimon, ThunderAquilamon, VenomStingmon, HeavyAnkylomon, and Zephyrmon has forced Volcanicdramon out, while WarGreymon, MetalGarurumon, and UlforceVeedramon has defeated Piedmon.
After the three trainers got back together, everyone except for Sora, Pikachu, Agumon, Veemon, Guilmon, and Agunimon went to deal with Mercurymon.
And now, here we go.
Riku, Kairi, Angel, Eevee, Meowth, Gabumon, Biyomon, Tentomon, Palmon, Gomamon, Patamon, Gatomon, Wormmon, Hawkmon, Armadillomon, Terriermon, Renamon, Lopmon, Gaomon, Lalamon, Lobomon, Beetlemon, Kazemon, Kumamon, and Loweemon made it down to Naminé, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Lucas, Dawn, and Azurill, being happy to seeing them safe.
"Riku!" Naminé cried, hugging her boyfriend. "I'm so glad you're safe!"
"I'm fine, Naminé," Riku assured her.
"Where are Sora, Pikachu, Agumon, Veemon, Agunimon, and Guilmon?" Lucas asked.
"Up there," Riku said, pointing to Sakkakumon.
"Why would Sora stay up there?" Dawn asked.
"Because of Mercurymon. He's up there, too," Kairi said.
"I knew it," Naminé said.
"I was hoping you were wrong," Aqua said.
"Now that Ranamon has been defeated, Mercurymon's the real threat," Kazemon said.
"But he'll have to be careful since he has his mirrors," Beetlemon said.
"You're right. He's a hard nut to crack," Armadillomon said.
Up to the top of Sakkakumon, Mercurymon grinned as he sees Sora, Pikachu, Agumon, Veemon, Guilmon, and Agunimon approach.
"It seems that the others has escaped my maze. No matter. Methinks it's time to finish this game. It's almost a shame that it has to end, despite it being so entertaining to watch," Mercurymon said. "But all good things must come to an end."
Sora, Pikachu, Agumon, Veemon, Guilmon, and Agunimon walk through the hall of Sakkakumon and briefly stop.
"Be on your guard. He's close, I can feel him," Agunimon said.
"Right," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
Just then, an eyeball portal appears before them and they go through. Upon entering, they came to what looks like a field of mirrors.
"Mirrors?" Agumon asked.
"Just how many does one world need?" Guilmon asked.
"If it's to make funny faces in the mirrors, then that's what I'll accept," Sora said.
"I have a bad feeling he's going to come out from anywhere," Agumon said.
"Thy friend is right to be anxious," a familiar voice spoke. They all turned to see Mercurymon standing right behind them.
"Mercurymon! I was hoping that we would find you eventually," Sora said.
"Thou shall be careful for what thou hopes for, otherwise it shall be thy ticket to Hell," Mercurymon said.
"You're the only one left, Mercurymon! Devimon, Ranamon, Vorvomon, the Dracomon Brothers, and the others have been defeated!" Agunimon said.
"Indeed, but I am not easily defeated in case thou hast forgotten," Mercurymon said.
"You should already know that we do it the hard way," Agunimon said.
"I am well aware. Thy bravery is commendable, but thy intellect is not," Mercurymon said.
Outside of Sakkakumon, everyone could see them face-to-face with Mercurymon.
"There he is," Ventus said.
"Now, they just have to get him," Meowth said.
"It would be easy of it weren't for Mercurymon mirror shields," Gatomon said.
"I agree. Mercurymon will just reflect any attack thrown at him, unless they go around it," Renamon said.
Back inside.
"Okay, Mercurymon, how about you cut the crap and fight?" Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu agreed.
"I would be happy to oblige thee. Fight me if thou has the courage!" Mercurymon dared his challengers.
"Well, thou art one to be careful for what thou asks for!" Sora said. He took out his Pokéballs and threw them. "Go! Torterra, Empoleon, Infernape, Porygon-Z, Golem!" His Pokémon came right out as Agumon, Guilmon, and Veemon started to Digivolve.
"Agumon Digivolve to... Greymon!"
"Veemon Digivolve to... Veedramon!"
"Guilmon Digivolve to... Growlmon!"
"You're outnumbered, Mercurymon!" Agunimon said.
"Numbers don't win battles. Didst thou forget about these?" Mercurymon asked, holding up his shield.
"Pikachu! Use Iron Tail on his legs!" Sora ordered. Pikachu dashed right towards Mercurymon, but he grinned and vanished. "Where did he go?"
"So he ran away?" Veedramon asked.
"Or maybe, he's just hiding," Greymon said.
"Who's hiding?" Mercurymon asked, with his voice echoing. They all looked around and they hear him laughing. "Don't tell me that thou has forgotten about my mirrors, because I didn't."
"He's playing with us," Agunimon said.
"Thou should realize the futility of fighting me in my own domain. Here I can move around with ease from any polished surface into another. I can dodge thy punches and strike without warning. Look around thyselves, I can appear just about anywhere..." Mercurymon appeared in a mirror behind Sora. "Even right behind thee." Sora turned and sees Mercurymon gone. "Thou have blinked." He laughed again.
"Mercurymon!" Sora shouted.
Greymon, Veedramon, Growlmon, and Agunimon looked around as Mercurymon has kept appearing from one place to another.
"Where is he?" Growlmon asked.
"Come out and face us!" Greymon said.
Mercurymon appeared in a metal pillar above them.
"Peekaboo! I see you!" Mercurymon taunted.
"There you are!" Agunimon shouted.
"Infernape! Mach Punch!" Sora ordered. Infernape dashed towards the pillar and gave it a powerful punch.
"Missed me," Mercurymon taunted.
"Quit hiding, metal head!" Agunimon yelled.
"If thou insists," Mercurymon said. The mirrors unleash beams of light and forms Mercurymon himself. He was at least ten feet tall. "Here I am. And I shall crush thee like the boot crushes the tiniest bug!"
"No way! Pikachu! Thunderbolt! Porygon-Z! Tri-Attack!" Sora ordered. Pikachu and Porygon-Z fire their attacks and destroys one of his arms. "Torterra! Golem! Energy Ball and Thunder!" Torterra and Golem unleash Energy Ball and Thunder and they destory another arm. "Infernape! Empoleon! Use Flamethrower and Flash Cannon!" Infernape and Empoleon fire their attacks and destroys the rest. The real Mercurymon clapped his hands, turning to his opponents.
"Nice try, but breaking mirrors will only bring thee bad luck," Mercurymon taunted.
"You're the one who's getting bad luck, mirror boy!" Sora said.
"And we're the ones who are going to give it to you!" Agunimon said.
Growlmon, "Pyro Blaster!"
Greymon, "Nova Blast!"
Veedramon, "V-Nova Blast!"
Agunimon, "Pyro Darts!"
"Must I remind you? Dark Reflection!" Mercurymon shouted, reflecting their own attacks at the four Digimon. "A taste of thy own medicine." He laughed. Greymon comes at him to ram into him.
"Try to reflect this! Great Horns Attack!" Greymon shouted, bringing down his horns, but Mercurymon dodges him. Mercurymon appeared again as Growlmon readies his arms.
Growlmon, "Dragon Slash!" He swings his tail and he misses. "Huh? Where did he go?" Mercurymon appeared before him.
"Art thou looking for me?" Mercurymon asked, landing a punch. Veedramon and Agunimon came right at Mercurymon right at the same time.
"Try to dodge the both of us! Hammer Punch!" Veedramon shouted.
"Burning Slider!" Agunimon shouted.
Both attempted to land a punch, only for Mercurymon to dodge and get hit by each other.
"Watch the friendly fire, Agunimon!" Veedramon said.
"Wasn't my fault! He moved!" Agunimon said. Mercurymon appeared again.
"Empoleon! Metal Claw!!" Sora ordered. Empoleon came at Mercurymon and misses when he vanished again.
"Nice try," Mercurymon taunted.
Sora growled in frustration as Mercurymon was toying with them ever since the fight got started.
Outside, everyone was watching the fight as they were dismayed by Mercurymon's speed and strength.
"Mercurymon is just appearing from one place to another," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"It's all those mirrors. Mercurymon can use mirrors and anything else that reflects to his advantage. That's how he's so slippery," Lobomon said.
"Man, Grumblemon, Ranamon, and Arbormon were such pains, but this guy is the worst!" Ventus said.
"He's toying with them, that we already know. What is he cooking up in there?" Riku said.
"Vee," Eevee said.
Mercurymon kept on playing with his opponents by dodging anything that came his way. Greymon and Growlmon even tackled into each other. This was even more difficult than any of them has thought. Mercurymon laughed as he appeared right before them.
"If thou art done playing, I have a surprise for thee," Mercurymon said.
"What kind of surprise? What are you up to?" Sora asked.
"Follow and thou shall see," Mercurymon said, going through an eyeball portal. Sora, Pikachu, and the four Digimon all charge through the portal. "Anxious aren't thou?" He laughed, going through another one.
"Get back here!" Growlmon shouted. They go on through. Upon entering, they saw nothing but darkness all around.
"Where are we now?" Sora asked.
"Pikachu?" Pikachu asked.
"Just how many places are there in this crazy place?" Agunimon asked.
"Okay, Mercurymon, we're here, so quit hiding!" Sora called out. Lights have come on, revealing that they are in what looks like a church. The stain glass windows all have legendary Pokémon on them. There were Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Suicune, Raikou, Entei, Groudon, Kyogre, Solgaleo, Lunala, Darkrai, Cresselia, Palkia, Dialga, Uxie, Azelf, Mesprit, the Regi Pokémon, Glastier, Spectier, Calyrex, Arcues, Zacian, Zamazenta, Etetnatus and other legendary Pokémon as well. One is a green, muscular humanoid Pokémon, which resembles a genie. On its forehead are two, purple, long and sharp horns. It has white, wavy and billowy styled hair, a spiky white mustache, and two pointed green ears on either side of its head. Its eyes are yellow with beady white irises and no visible pupils. The front of Its body is covered in various, irregularly shaped purple spots. Its broad, purple chest consists of two joined, partially diamond-shaped pectorals, and its shoulders, elbows and navel are adorned with raindrop like designs. It has two spotted muscular arms, with five fingers on each hand. Its lower body consists of a trailing cloud, with a purple long, curling tail, tipped with a whirl. Spanning the length of its tail, It has several whorled structures. They are a light khaki color and follow the same direction as the tip of its tail. The other two resembles it closely, but one is blue, and it had a white, zigzagging and jutting styled hair, and it has a with a thick, long, curling, purple, cable-like tail. Spanning the length of its tail, it has several ball-like structures. And the third one is orange and it has a short log on top of its head, a jagged white mustache curling, brown, branch or root-like tail. The green one is Tornadus, the blue one is Thundurus, and the orange one is Landourus. They also have alternate forms as well. Tornadus resembles a large, green, bipedal, long-necked, birdlike Pokémon. It now lacks any visible ears, and the horns on its forehead have become thinner and crest-like. Tornadus's hair is also now crest-like, and the direction of its hair whirl is reversed. The style of its hair is now more relaxed as well, proudly flowing down its long neck. Tornadus's mustache now takes on a more beak-like appearance, puffing out on the edges like coarse plumage against its cheeks. Its eyes remain yellow, but with larger irises which still lack visible pupils. Its chest is now fuller, but remains largely unchanged, while its navel is now bejeweled with a red gem. Tornadus's arms have now become large spanning, feathered wings; each possessing thumbs and five large, purple-tipped primary feathers. It has two strong legs and sharp talons, each with three sharp purple claws and one dew claw. Tornadus's tail remains largely unchanged, although it appears slightly longer and less curved than before. On its lower back, it has a large trailing cloud-like puff. Thundurus is a large, blue, sleek, bipedal snake or dragon-like Pokémon. The horn on its head is now thicker and extends out more, while its ears become more pointy and pinned back. Thundurus's hair remains the same; the mustache now takes on a more raised snout and fanged-maw-like appearance, with two curving wisps flowing back and past its ears. Its eyes remain yellow, but with larger irises which still lack visible pupils. Its chest remains broad and unchanged, while its navel is bejeweled with a blue gem. Thundurus's arms have lost much of their muscular bulk, and are now slimmer. It has two paw-like hands, each covered in a trailing cloud-like fluff and with three claw-tipped fingers. Thundurus's purple lower half is much smaller than its upper body and consists of two hind-legs and its tail. Its feet are elongated, with three downward curved toes and claws. Thundurus's tail also remains largely unchanged, although it is thicker at the base and tapers off and becomes thinner toward the tip. And Landourus is an orange, lean, quadrupedal Pokémon with feline features. The horns on its head are now thinner and arranged closer together in a downwards arch. While its hair remains the same; its mustache now takes on a more fanged maw-like appearance, curving around its head to behind its ears, which have now become smaller and rounder. Its eyes remain yellow, but with larger irises which still lack visible pupils. Its chest remains broad and unchanged, while its navel is bejeweled with a beige gem. Landorus's back and lower legs are striped with dark pink, and its biceps and triceps adorned with dark pink upside down, raindrop like designs. It has four trailing cloud covered paws, each with three sharp dark pink claws. Its tail remains largely unchanged, although it may be slightly smaller and shorter than before. There are also dragon-like Pokémon on the stain glass windows as well. One a large white, draconian Pokémon that has a slightly mammalian-looking face that resembles that of a white lion. It has a great wispy flowing mane of white feathery fur surrounding its head, striking blue eyes, and several silvery-white rings around its thin, swan-like neck. It has a large cylindrical torch-like tail which functions as a powerful fiery engine. It has with a single silvery band around each of its hands, which are attached to its wings. Its arms are attached to its wings, which are vast and feathery. Its chest feathers resemble the design of the Silver Wing. The lower portion of its body protrudes outward to a point. It has a round belly and thick, powerfully-built legs with three claws on each foot, and a single claw on the back of each foot. Another is is a large, black draconian Pokémon. Compared to to its other counterparts, it also appears to have more of an upright body that appears to be vaguely humanoid. It has piercing red eyes and dark gray to black skin that seems to be armor-like. The Pokémon also has a large, generator-like tail and long mane that ends in a tip, usually glowing in an iridescent blue color. It also has a set of small black wings behind its three-clawed arms. Another gray and blue, bipedal Pokémon of indefinable but seemingly draconic basis. It has a blue head and snout and has yellow eyes without pupils, has a pair of pointed light bluish horns on its head, and a yellow crest on its skull. Three pointed teeth jut out the bottom of either side of its jaws, which are frozen shut by the ice covering its head. Its long, gray neck has lines running around its whole body, legs, arms, and tail. It has two arms, each with its own claw, and each arm is jointed together from its oddly shaped blue wings, which are believed to be used for flying and storing cold air. Each wing has two spikes of ice.The white dragon Pokémon is Reshiram, the black dragon Pokémon is Zekrom, and the gray dragon Pokémon is Kyurem. There is a stain glass window of a quadrupedal stag-like Pokémon with a blue and black coat. Along its back, it has multicolored spots that glow when it is in battle. It has long, gleaming yellow antlers that shine with all of the colors of the spectrum; its antlers resemble the roots of a tree. Its yellow-lined hooves are pointed, and it has a long blue and black tail. This Pokémon is Xerneas. There is one that possesses avian and draconian traits. It has large wings and a tail that are red colored internally and black colored externally. It has intense teal-colored eyes with white pupils. This Pokémon is known as Yveltal. There is a Pokémon that is shaped like the letter "Z" and appears to be a snake. It has a green top half and a black bottom with 5 Pillar-like shapes on its back. It has no arms or legs and has a various amount of scales on its body.It has two compound eyes and green shapes under them. It has a tail which is flat. This one is Zygarde. Another is a small Pokémon, who wears yellow rings around its arms and belly. Its eyes are green and its body is painted pink and violet. This Pokémon is Hoopa. Another is a maroon, quadruped Pokémon with blue and yellow markings on its body. It has blue eyes and a sharp yellow mustache. It has two "arms" with blue circles and it has four yellow diamond-shaped markings on its chest. It has four huge legs, with three claws extended on each foot. Its tail is short and thick. This Pokémon is Volcanion. Another is a distinctly feminine fairy-like creature with a gray rocky body embedded with bright pink crystals and gemstones. It wears a white cloak-like garment with long white sleeves from which its tiny gray hands protrude. It has a golden collar around its neck, a pink diamond on its chest, and a crown-like headdress of pink gems upon its head. In the center of its forehead, it bears a large round, cut diamond that is bright pink in color. It has bright red eyes and small pointed ears. The bottom of its body is composed of a large chunk of rock with a pink crystal embedded in its side. This Pokémon is Diancie. There is one more with four other Pokémon. One of them is a goat-like Pokémon that is mainly aqua blue with eight black dots on it (four on each side). It has a light blue spiky tail and a white scruff of fluffy white fur covering its neck. Its feet are light blue with black tipped toes and a black line separating it from the aqua blue color. Its face is light blue and the top of its head is black while the rest of the head is aqua blue. It has orange eyes and two slightly jagged orange horns on the top of its head. It has orange spiked protrusions coming of its shoulders, and its rear thighs are relatively plump. This one is Cobalion. Another is a bulky, quadrupedal ox-like Pokémon. Its body is mostly gray, with tan coloration on its face, underbelly, and legs. It has sharp orange eyes with small black pupils. It has two large sharply curving brown horns protruding from either side of its head, and a crest of spikes on its forehead. It has a plump, yet powerfully-built and muscular body with thick legs. Its has tan boot-like formations encircling each foot, and deep brown hoof-like feet. It has a stubby pointed tail and orange features protruding from the hump on its shoulders. This one is Terrakion. Another is a quadrupedal deer-like Pokémon. The top part of its slender body is covered in lush green leaf-like fur, while its underbelly is a pastel-green hue. It has pink-tipped leaves growing from its neck, and a fringe of green leaves protruding from beneath its shoulders. It has long curled green horns atop its head. Its face is deer-like in appearance, and it has pinkish eyes. It appears to be wearing armored boots with pink tips at the top and gray markings at its toes. This Pokémon is Virizion. Another resembles a foal or small unicorn referring to the horn on its head. It is mainly pale yellow in color with light blue fur covering its neck and the back of its head. Its tail is also light blue in color. It has long, dark blue eyebrows and a red mane. Its body is somewhat slender and it has a rather fat yet well-toned rump. On the ends of its legs are dark blue hooves. This one is Keldeo. And there is one more with is a distinctly feminine fairy-like Pokémon that possesses two forms. It has a large, round white head and a small black-cloaked body with tiny extremities. Its arms and legs are very slender and fragile-looking. It has two forms. One form has green hair that resembles a musical bar. Its eyes are blue-green, along with the round jewel on its forehead. The other form has auburn hair that seems to be stylized in a high bun. It has red eyes that match the color of its hair. The eye color matches the hairstyle. In the altar of the church, there is a huge pipe organ.
Sora, Pikachu, Greymon, Veedramon, Growlmon, and Agunimon looks around for Mercurymon.
"Come out! Show yourself now!" Sora called out. The pipe organ started to play itself, much to their surprise.
"No need to yell. I am right beside thee," Mercurymon said. "And this time there will be no running away for either of us."
"If you're so confident, Mercurymon, then fight us all again," Agunimon said, with his fist burning. Mercurymon grinned.
"Such impatience. If thou insists," Mercurymon snapped his fingers. Just then, a familiar figure appeared before them, much to everyone's surprise and horror. The figure was Seraphimon, but not one of them could understand how it was possible.
"No way! It can't be!" Sora gasped.
"Oh, but it is," Mercurymon said.
"Seraphimon," Sora could only say.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
Outside, everyone was stunned by what they were seeing. No one more than Patamon.
"No way! Seraphimon?!" Ventus exclaimed in shock.
"I am seeing this, but I find this very hard to swallow," Hawkmon said.
"How is it possible? That's Patamon's Mega form, so how could that be Seraphimon if he's right here?" Meowth asked.
"It has to be some kind of trick!" Lucas said.
"I hope you're right, Lucas," Riku said.
"Sora," Kairi could only say.
Back inside, Sora glared at Mercurymon.
"What did you do, Mercurymon?! How did you get hold of Seraphimon?!" Sora asked.
"Oh, how little does thou comprehend. What you see is not the Seraphimon thou art familiar with," Mercurymon said.
"What's that supposed to mean?!" Sora asked.
"What thou sees before thy eyes is a mere shadow, a copy that I have created and planned to use on thee. My goal was to all of thee at once, but no matter because this will just be an appetizer compared to what I will do to thy friends!" Mercurymon said.
"What do you plan to do?!" Greymon asked.
"Perhaps I shall enlighten thee by showing thou thy demise!" Mercurymon said, removing the restraints. Mercurymon has merged with the copy of Seraphimon's data. Everyone both inside and out was watching in horror. This new form of Seraphimon has taken up in green armor with Mercurymon's grinning face. The gold feathers on the wings are shed to reveal demonic wings. His mask has an X on the front.
"No," Sora said in disbelief.
"Yes. I am now powerful than thou can imagine! I am ShadowSeraphimon! Wish to fight me now?" ShadowSeraphimon asked, laughing.
"ShadowSeraphimon?" Sora asked. Greymon, Veedramon, and Growlmon started to Digivolve.
"Greymon Digivolve to... MetalGreymon!"
"Veedramon Digivolve to... AeroVeedramon!"
"Growlmon Digivolve to... WarGrowlmon!"
"Prepare for thy doom!" ShadowSeraphimon said.
"You first!" AeroVeedramon said, charging towards the evil version of Seraphimon, but he easily overpowers him. MetalGreymon and WarGrowlmon does the same thing, but it ends up in the same result. Agunimon even tried to best him, but he uppercuts him and then gave him a kick, making Agunimon dart down. Pikachu and the other Pokémon tried to fight him, but they were also overpowered. ShadowSeraphimon laughed as he threw Pikachu towards Sora.
"Sora!" Kairi cried with tears coming from eyes.
"What's going on?! If that's Seraphimon up there, then why is he attacking Sora and the others?" Ventus asked.
"That's not Seraphimon!" Loweemon said. They all looked right at him. "That's really Mercurymon. He has merged with the data of Seraphimon."
"He did he do that?" Terra asked.
"I don't know, but what I do know that he has taken the form of an evil angel," Loweemon said.
Back inside...
"Had enough?" ShadowSeraphimon asked.
"We're just getting started!" Agunimon said, Slide Evolving. "Agunimon Slide Evolution... BurningGreymon!"
"Useless," ShadowSeraphimon said.
BurningGreymon, "Pyro Barrage!"
MetalGreymon, "Giga Blaster!"
AeroVeedramon, "V-Wing Blade!"
WarGrowlmon, "Atomic Blaster!"
"Pikachu! Thunderbolt! Golem! Thunder! Porygon-Z! Zap Cannon! Empoleon! Hydro Pump! Infernape! Flamethrower! Torterra! Leaf Storm!" Sora ordered.
The Pokémon and Digimon fired their attacks at the evil angel Digimon, but he reflects them.
"Useless. Shadow Shockwave!" ShadowSeraphimon shouted, reflecting their attacks. Sora got caught in the blast. He laughed. "What hope do thou have to defeat me?" He laughed again. Sora gets back on his feet.
"I won't give up, ShadowSeraphimon," Sora said.
"Then perhaps, thou shall change thy mind after this! Strike of the Seven Dark Stars!" ShadowSeraphimon shouted, forming seven orbs of darkness and sends them right at MetalGreymon, AeroVeedramon, WarGrowlmon, BurningGreymon, and the Pokémon. They were all on the ground, beaten. Agumon, Veemon, and WarGrowlmon reverted back to their Rookie forms. Kairi was horrified by what she saw. ShadowSeraphimon laughed again.
"Sora!" Riku and Lucas exclaimed.
"Thou art defeated. But I present thee thy final gift," ShadowSeraphimon said, summoning a coffin for each of Sora, Agumon, Veemon, Guilmon, and BurningGreymon. "It shall be where thou shall sleep for eternity." He walked over to Sora and grabs him by the head. "Thou never stood a chance against me. Thou has already lost before thou has begun to fight."
"Could he be right? Was this whole fight all for nothing?" Sora said in his thoughts. "Kairi. I really wanted us to be together forever. Pikachu, Torterra, Porygon-Z, Empoleon, Infernape, Golem, Riku, Ven, Terra, Aqua, everyone." Just then, Latios, Slowbro, and Heatran all headed towards the area Sora was. Everyone were surprised to suddenly see the Pokémon head right in.
"What are they doing?" Lucas asked.
"And where did they come from?" Dawn asked.
Once inside, Heatran gave ShadowSeraphimon a Fire Fang, forcing him to let go of him.
"What?! How did you get in here?!" ShadowSeraphimon asked. Latios started to heal Sora with his psychic powers. He also heals the Pokémon and Digimon, restoring their energy. Slowbro fires Shell Side Armor right at ShadowSeraphimon, but he dodges. Sora gets back up on his feet along with his Pokémon and the Digimon, glaring right him.
"That coffin is more of your size, ShadowSeraphimon!" Sora said. He turned to Sora.
"Everything was going according to plan! Those creatures have ruined everything!" ShadowSeraphimon said.
"Let's how well according to plan it was going," Veemon said. The Digimon all started to Digivolve.
"Agumon Double Warp Digivolve to... WarGreymon!"
"Veemon Double Warp Digivolve to... UlforceVeedramon!"
"Guilmon Double Warp Digivolve to... Gallantmon!"
"Agunimon Digivolve to-" Agunimon has transformed right into a mix of Agunimon and BurningGreymon. "Aldamon!" The four Digimon stood before ShadowSeraphimon as he looked at them with dismay.
"You still cannot to defeat me! Strike of the Seven Dark Stars!" ShadowSeraphimon fired his attack, but Aldamon wasn't effected.
"Now, to take you out, ShadowSeraphimon!" WarGreymon said. He forms a huge fireball above his head. "Terra Force!"
UlforceVeedramon, "Ray of Victory!"
Gallantmon, "Royal Saber!"
Aldamon readies weapons and aims at the evil angel Digimon.
"Atomic Inferno!" Aldamon shouted, firing a barrage of fireballs. They all struck him as he reverts back to Mercurymon. He retreats, but they follow him.
Outside, everyone were all glad Mercurymon has lost that section of the fight, but they knew it wasn't over yet.
"My plan has failed. But I still shall win here," Mercurymon said.
"Don't be too sure, Mercurymon!" Sora said. He turned to see the group.
"Have thou come to repeat thy defeat here?" Mercurymon asked.
"No, to teach you what defeat really means!" Sora said.
"Thou are no match for me! I can reflect thy attacks right back thee!" Mercurymon said.
"I don't think so!" Aldamon disagreed. He begins to build up energy. "Solar Wind Destroyer!" He creates a huge fireball and hurls it right at Mercurymon's mirrors, melting them.
"This cannot be!" Mercurymon gasped.
"But it is! You're through, Mercurymon!" Sora said.
"No! Even without my mirrors, I still possess enough power to destroy thee!" Mercurymon said.
"Pikachu! Quick Attack!" Sora ordered. Pikachu dashed towards the Warrior of Steel with his speed attack.
"Fool! Didst thou forget I can repel thy attack?" Mercurymon asked.
"No I didn't!" Sora said. Pikachu moved too fast for Mercurymon to block. "Iron Tail!" Pikachu swings his tail and it was strong enough to shatter Mercurymon's glass and he fell to the ground. He dissolves into bits of data. "And farewell to thee. And good riddance."
With the fight finally over, Sora calls back his Pokémon as the Digimon has reverted back to their previous forms. Sora, Pikachu, Agumon, Veemon, Guilmon, Agunimon, Slowbro, Latios, and Heatran have arrived safely from Sakkakumon, as Kairi embraces him lovingly and gave him several kisses.
"Sora, you really scared me," Kairi said, planting several kisses onto him.
"Sorry," Sora apologized.
"Now that Mercurymon is dust, then Sakkakumon is out of commission, right?" Ventus asked.
"Looks like it," Sora said. He spotted Lucas and Dawn with them. "Lucas, Dawn? When did you get here?"
"A little while after we saw you in there," Lucas said.
"We're just glad you're safe," Dawn said. Sora smiled and he turned to the three Pokémon.
"Thanks for your help, guys. We would have been total goners if you hadn't come along," Sora said. Heatran makes its sounds to Sora. He turned to Meowth. "Translation?"
"He's saying that he is so impressed by how resourceful and brave you are, so he wants to be your Pokémon along with Slowbro and Latios," Meowth translated. Sora blinked twice as Slowbro and Latios nodded. Latios made some chirping sounds. "The same for three others for Kairi." And with that, Latias, Shaymin, and Slowking has arrived. Sora took out his Pokédex and scanned Heatran and Shaymin.
Heatran, the Lava Dome Pokémon
Type: Fire/Steel
It dwells in volcanic caves. It digs in with its cross-shaped feet to crawl on ceilings and walls. Its body is made of rugged steel. However, it is partially melted in spots because of its own heat.
Shaymin, the Gratitude Pokémon
Type: Grass
It lives in flower patches and avoids detection by curling up to look like a flowering plant. It can dissolve toxins in the air to instantly transform ruined land into a lush field of flowers.
Sora and Kairi nodded and they took out three Pokéballs and threw them. Heatran, Slowbro, and Latios, flows inside of Sora's Pokéballs as Latias, Slowking, and Shaymin has flows inside of Kairi's. Their Pokémon Boxes activates and they ask if the couple wants to keep their new Pokémon with them. Sora and Kairi decided to keep them in exchange for Empoleon, Golem, Porygon-Z, Blissey, Manaphy, and Phione.
"Let's go," Sora said.
Just before they were about to take off, a rumbling occurs. They all look right at Sakkakumon as something was happening to it. What could it mean? Could Sakkakumon possibly have a mind of its own? Find out in the next chapter.
