Episode 400: Phantasmagoric Sakkakumon

Last time...

Sora, Pikachu, Agumon, Veemon, Guilmon, and Agunimon searches inside of Sakkaumon for Mercurymon, hoping to end the fight once and for all, but Mercurymon has appeared before them. A brawl broke out as Mercurymon has easily overpowered them, but it turns out even worse when Mercurymon has led them to a trap where Mercurymon has merged into a copy of the data of Seraphimon and became ShadowSeraphimon. MetalGreymon, AeroVeedramon, WarGrowlmon, BurningGreymon, and the Pokémon were easily beaten by ShadowSeraphimon. Everyone was assuming the worse when Slowbro, Latios, and Heatran came to his rescue and saved Sora and the others. So, Agunimon Digivolved into Aldamon, as Agumon, Veemon, and Guilmon all Digivolved into Mega level and they took out ShadowSeraphimon, only to revert back to Mercurymon, but his moment of peace was brief when Sora has shown up. With a good use of Quick Attack and Iron Tail, Mercurymon was then destroyed, and they escaped. Sora and Kairi caught Heatran, Shaymin, Latias, Latios, Slowbro, and Slowking and were about to continue to Sunyshore City, when something strange was happening to Sakkakumon. What could it be? We're about to find out right this minute.

Sakkakumon was thrashing around and glowing.

"What's going on with it?" Lucas asked.

"I don't know, but I don't think I want to know," Gabumon said.

Lips formed on the top of Sakkakumon and it laughed in a familiar voice.

"Didst thou think thou can be rid of me that easily?" Sakkakumon asked in Mercurymon's voice.

"Mercurymon?! How? We just killed you!" Sora exclaimed.

"What you destroyed was only a mere copy. I had to sacrifice my previous form in order to become what I am now. What fools you be," Sakkakumon said.

"What do you mean?" Sora asked.

"Perhaps I shall enlighten thee. I have lured thee here. Those Pokémon battles thou fought before? They threw the battles just to lure thee to me!" Sakkakumon admitted. The group were shocked to hear what he said.

"You lured us here?!" Riku asked.

"Indeed. Sora, Kairi, and Riku were the only ones I desired and spared the rest, so thou, the Digimon, and their Pokémon were chosen," Sakkakumon said.

"For what?" Lucas asked.

"I'll just show thee!" Sakkakumon curled up and he aims his part at the group. "Thunderbolt!" Thunderbolt came out and they ducked out of the way. "But wait, there's more! Leaf Storm!" Leaf Storm came out from another section. He continued to move around some more. "Egg Bomb, Hydro Pump! Flamethrower! Hyper Beam!" Sakkakumon fired their attacks and they all ducked again. "How was that taste?"

"Those are Pokémon attacks? How did you do that?" Sora asked.

"Easy. I have set up the fights and thee fight on, just so I could analyze and use the attacks of your Pokémon. Sadly, I can only use the attacks of the Pokémon thou had with thee, but no matter, because tis more than enough to finish thee," Sakkakumon said.

"You planned this out, too?!" Sora exclaimed.

"That's cheating!" Dawn said.

"It's like he knows which move he'll use before we do," Meowth said.

"We're not going to let that stop us!" Gatomon said.

"We'll have to Digivolve to defeat him!" Patamon said.

"And that's what we're going to do!" Agumon said.

"Yeah!" All the Digimon agreed. They all started to Digivolve.

The Digimon all launch their attacks at Sakkakumon. BeoWolfmon fires severalmissiles and lasers at Sakakkumon. He rotates around to reflect with the Pokémon attacks.

"Thunderbolt! Energy Ball! Bubble Beam! Ice Beam! Flash Cannon! Swift! Shadow Ball! Thunder!" Sakkakumon shouted, redirecting their attacks and struck them. Sakkakumon laughed at their dismay. "Thou art fools! With all these wonderful attacks, I am more powerful than ever!"

"You may have our moves, but it doesn't mean you'll win!" BeoWolfmon said.

"Oh, can it! I can and I shall!" Sakkakumon said. "Zap Cannon!" Sakakkumon fires Zap Cannon and it struck Beetlemon.

"Man, this is bad! That thing is using our attacks, but double the damage. How are we going to beat that thing?" Sora asked in his mind. He took out his Pokéballs as Did Kairi and Riku. "Okay, Torterra, Heatran, Infernape, Latios, Slowbro! Go!"

"Go! Shaymin, Latias, Slowking, Froslass, Pachirisu!" Kairi called out.

"Go! Incineroar, Urshifu, Luxray, Toxicroak, and Lucario!" Riku called out.

Their Pokémon came right out to battle Sakkakumon. Lucas wanted to help out as well. He took out his Pokéballs and threw them.

"Go! Grotle, Luxray, Arcanine, Floatzel, Gliscor, and Staraptor!" Lucas called out. Dawn did the same thing.

"Piplup, Buneary, Pachirisu, Ambipom, Mamoswine, Cyndaquil! Spotlight!" Dawn called out. Her Pokémon came on out to join right in. Sakkakumon laughed at this revelation.

"How amusing! More has come out to play! We shall see how thou shall handle the eventuality that friend has become foe," Sakkakumon said, unleashing a series of attacks. "Egg Bomb!" Sakkakumon fires Egg Bomb and it struck Piplup. "Hex!" Sakkakumon fires Hex and it struck Grotle. "Flamethrower! Ice Beam! Hyper Beam! Leaf Storm! Aura Sphere! Flash Cannon!" Sakkakumon fire the Pokémon attacks right at Dawn and Lucas's other Pokémon.

"Let's try something you haven't seen before!" Sora said. Kairi nodded in agreement.

"Right!" Kairi agreed.

"Heatran! Use Magma Storm! Latios! Use Luster Purge!" Sora ordered. Heatran releases a powerful spiraling red-orange fire from its mouth at Sakkakumon. Latios opens his mouth and white sparkles form and gather in front of him, forming together into a pink ball of energy. He then fires a massive pink beam from the ballat Sakkakumon.

"Shaymin! Use Seed Flare! Latios! Mist Ball!" Kairi ordered. Shaymin transformed into a slender, canine appearance like that of a small reindeer. The fur on its back becomes a mohawk, and it has a red flower petal on the left side of its neck, resembling a scarf or cape. It has flat, white ears resembling wings, a small tuft of fur on the front of its neck, and a stumpy tail. Shaymin absorbs small lights around it into its body from the seeds on its back, causing the flowers on its head to turn purple. Then, Shaymin's body glows light green, the flower on its head glows pink, and it explodes, creating a huge light green explosion all around it. Latios forms a ball of mist and then sends it right at Sakkakumon, but he laughed as he rotates around.

"Nice try! Bulk Up!" Sakkakumon raised both his defense and attack. "Swift!" Sakkakumon fires Swift all around and the stars cuts all of the attacks into ribbons.

"We should try something else, too!" Beetlemon said.

"Right!" Kumamon and Loweemon agreed. The Warrior Digimon all Slide Evolved.

"Beetlemon Slide Evolution... MetalKabuterimon!"

"Kazemon Slide Evolution... Zephyrmon!"

"Kumamon Slide Evolution... Korikakumon!"

"Loweemon Slide Evolution... JagerLoweemon!"

MetalGreymon and WereGarurumon changed into their Alteros and Sagittarius Modes to better attack.

"Let's try it at the same time!" MetalGreymon suggested.

"Right!" WereGarurumon agreed.

The Digimon all launched their attacks, only to be used by the Pokémon's attacks and went haywire.

"No way!" Ventus said.

"They're getting their asses kicked," Meowth said.

"No kidding. Sakkakumon is even more powerful than the other ones we have ever dealt with. I don't see how we're going to win," Terra said.

"Their fear is starting to get to them. But I have to agree, Sakkakumon is by far the most powerful Digimon we fought so far, but he's got to have a weakness. And we just gotta figure out what his weakness is and soon," Sora said in his thoughts.

"So, what do we do?" Riku asked.

"I think we should just run," Terra said.

"Run? You're not serious, are you?" Lucas asked.

"I don't see what other choice we have. Let's face if the Pokémon and Digimon are getting creamed and all we could do is watch!" Terra said.

"We'll have to retreat. We'll have to call back our Pokémon and take off," Sora said.

"He's right. We might stand a better chance with a plan we cooked up," Lucas said, calling back all of his Pokémon. Sora, Kairi, Riku, and Dawn do the same thing and got ready to run when Sakkakumon formed around them.

"Sakkakumon isn't going to let is go now," Naminé said.

"Run at the gaps between!" Sora yelled. Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Lucas, Dawn, Pikachu, Eevee, Angel, Azurill, and Meowth started to run. The Digimon went right with them to get away from Sakkakumon.

"Thou can run, but thou cannot hide!" Sakkakumon said, laughing. They all ran as fast as they could go. They ran into a cave and went inside it. The Digimon all stayed to fight Sakkakumon again. They waited for Sakkakumon to get closer and then, they launched their assault onto him.

The Digimon fired their attacks again, so Sakakkumon laughed

Sakkakumon, "Hyper Beam!" He fired Hyper Beam and struck them all. Sakkakumon enters the cave and he catches up with Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Lucas, Dawn, Pikachu, Eevee," Angel, Azurill, and Meowth. Meowth looked back and sees the evil Digimon catching up with them.

"He's gaining on us!" Meowth exclaimed.

"Don't look back!" Riku said.

Sakkakumon finally caught up with them, with his whole body glowing. The Zubat, Golbat, and Crobat were startled by the sound and light, they all started to fly out.

"Ring around the Rosie, pockets full of fears! I told thee that there isn't a place where thou cannot hide and I cannot find thee! So now thy fate is sealed!" Sakkakumon said. Sakkakumon moved around and points at Ventus. "Thunder!" Sakkakumon fires, making Sora jump and get Ventus out of the line of fire. "Thou are noble helping a loved one."

"Don't you mess with my cousin or girlfriend!" Sora said.

"Thou think thou can stop me? I think not," Sakkakumon said.

"We beat Mercurymon and we can beat you, Sakkakumon!" Sora said.

"Pika, Pika!" Pikachu said. Sakkakumon laughed as he vanishes, making it dark in the cave they're in.

"Now what?" Dawn asked.

"I can't see!" Aqua said.

"I can," Sakkakumon said. They all looked around and Sakkakumon appeared and reappeared from all directions. "Can thou see me? I might be above, beside, behind, or right in front of thee!" Sakkakumon appeared, making them flinch. Sakkakumon laughed again. "Thou cannot see me, I can see thee. Let thy fears take place in thy hearts and fill thy minds with doubt!" Sakkakumon kept on taunting them.

"Sakkakumon is toying with us. He's trying to break us," Sora said in his thoughts.

"Sora," Ventus could only say.

"Ven, don't be scared. He's trying to get to us," Sora said. Kairi was starting to let her fear take place. She began to have some doubts of her own. Her heart was beating faster than normal. Sora grabbed Kairi by the shoulders and he held both of his cousin and girlfriend close to him. "I'm here. No matter what, don't let go." Kairi and Ventus both felt safe with Sora around. Dawn wasn't doing so well, because her fear was getting the best of her. She feared that she'll lose Lucas. Lucas was feeling the same way. He didn't want to think about losing Dawn to anything. Sora could sense their fears and he knew he had to do something to calm them down.

"Guys, don't be scared. Sakkakumon's trying to get to us," Sora said. And he was right, because Sakkakumon unleashed Flamethrower, then Thunderbolt, and then Ice Beam, freaking them out. Meowth started to run around, screaming.

"I gotta get out of here!" Meowth exclaimed. Terra, Aqua, Lucas, and Dawn were scared out of their minds. Kairi and Ventus tried their best not to let their fear get the best of them.

"Meowth, calm down!" Sora called out.

"Calm down?! How can I be calm when that thing is everywhere?! Calm isn't going to help us here!" Meowth said.

"Meowth might be right, because we're in over our heads here!" Lucas said.

"Guys, guys, guys! Wait!" Sora called out. An argument was breaking out, much to Sakkakumon's delight. It went on until Sora has yelled it out. "SHUT UP!" And everyone did. "Listen, you're scared, I get it, but we shouldn't let fear stop us. Sakkakumon won't get to us if we just focus. We can start by getting over of our fear. Think of your happiest memories! Maybe we can use that!" The group tried doing that. Kairi gave it a shot by thinking about when Togepi was born.

(Flashback)

"Pi," the little Pokémon yawned. "Toge?"

Kairi's face lit up witnessing the birth of a Pokémon.

"Hello there," Kairi beamed.

"Togepi!" The little Pokémon waved its little arms as Kairi picked the little Pokémon up.

"You're just the cutest little thing I have ever seen!" Kairi said.

"Toge, Toge!" The small Pokémon waved its arms.

(Flashback ends)

Kairi smiled warmly at the memory. Sakkakumon could sense a hint of happiness.

Ventus was thinking about a happy memory as well.

(Flashback)

A three-year-old Ventus was at an amusement park with his parents, holding their hands. Cattleya rode on the merry-go-round with his mother. He way waved to his father, and he was smiling as he waved back.

Time skips over to when the sun was setting. He was asleep in his mother's arms and she gave him a kiss in the head.

"You had fun today, didn't you, Ven?" Cattleya asked lovingly. "I'm glad that you did, honey."

(Flashback ends)

Ventus smiled at the memory. Pikachu and Angel both shared one as they remembered their confessions of love to one another, turning it into the best thing to ever happen to them.

Naminé was thinking of a happy memory of her own.

(Flashback)

She was five-years-old and she was running up to her father happily.

"Daddy! Daddy!" Naminé called out as her father picked up in his arms.

"Hello, Naminé. How's daddy's number one girl doing?" Naminé's father asked.

"I'm doing great! I just want to say that you're the best daddy in the whole world and I love you very much!" Naminé said.

"I love you too, honey," Naminé's father said, hugging her.

(Flashback ends)

Naminé smiles at the memory. Riku started to remember when he first got his Eevee.

(Flashback, in the Alola region)

Riku had just walked into Professor Kukui's lab and he was old enough to have his very first Pokémon.

"Now Riku, I may not have Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio left, but are you sure you won't wait for them until they're available?" Professor Kukui asked.

"I'm sure. Besides I wanna see what you have left," Riku said.

"If that's what you want, then it's okay with me," Professor Kukui said, taking a Pokéball and unleashing an Eevee. The Eevee looked right up at Riku. "Riku, I would like to introduce you to Eevee, the Evolution Pokémon."

"Eevee? What's so special about a Pokémon like an Eevee?" Riku asked.

"I'm glad you asked. Eevee can evolve into different forms depending on certain circumstances. You can have a Vaporeon by using a Water Stone. If you want a Jolteon, you can always use a Thunder Stone. If you feel Flareon is the best way to go, then you would want a Fire Stone. If you want a Leafeon, you can take it to the Moss Rock in the Lush Jungle or just use a Leaf Stone. But if you think Glaceon is a cool Pokémon to have, then you can either take it to an ice cave on Mount Lanakila or use an Ice Stone. But you can evolve Eevee into an Espeon when you treat it nice during the day, but you might have an Umbreon when you treat it nice at night. But you can have yourself a Sylveon if your Eevee knows a Fairy Type move," Professor Kukui said.

"Wow, so many options," Riku said.

"You don't have to evolve your Eevee right away, because it's best that you get acquainted with your new Eevee," Professor Kukui said. Riku took Eevee in his arms and Eevee just looked right at him. He looked right back at Eevee.

We fast forward to a battle between Riku and Hau. Riku is using Eevee as Hau is sending out a Pichu.

"Pichu! Use Thunder Shock!" Hau ordered. Pichu sends out Thunder Shock.

"Dodge and use Tackle!" Riku ordered. Eevee avoids Pichu's Thunder Shock and came at the tiny mouse Pokémon with a hard-hitting Tackle.

"Pichu! Thunder Shock again!" Hau ordered. Pichu fires another Thunder Shock.

"Quick Attack!" Riku ordered lands a hard hitting Quick Attack and Pichu has fallen to the ground, beaten.

"And Pichu is unable to battle! Pichu is the winner!" Professor Kukui proclaimed. Riku went to his partner and he pets him on the head.

"That was great, Eevee. From now on, you and I will be the ultimate team!" Riku said.

"Eevee!" Eevee said. Riku fixed Eevee's hairstyle to match his.

"Now, you look stylish, buddy," Riku said.

Riku smiled at the memory of him first retrieving Eevee as his very first Pokémon. Terra and Aqua started to remember their first meeting with Ventus.

(Flashback)

Terra and Aqua were on the beach on day as Ventus is seen helping out his dad setting up. Terra and Aqua both went up to the father and son.

"Excuse us," Aqua said.

"You think we can help you out?" Terra asked.

"Actually, there is. You think you can give us a hand by setting the tables. My son, Ventus will help you out," Danny said.

"Sure thing," Terra said. Terra and Aqua were helping out with the table setting. "So, Ventus, what's the occasion?"

"It's my mom and dad's wedding anniversary. They're both celebrating the day they got married," Ventus said.

"That sounds nice. And I'm sure it's loads of fun," Aqua said.

"Yeah. There's going to be a party and my aunt and cousin are coming over to join us," Ventus said.

"That must be great," Terra said. "Anyway, my name's Terra, and this is Aqua."

"Hi," Aqua greeted.

"Nice to meet you. Are you two boyfriend and girlfriend?" Ventus asked. Terra and Aqua blushed.

"No, we're not. We're just friends," Terra said.

"That's right. We've been hanging out together ever since we were around your age," Aqua said.

"Are you coming to my parent's anniversary party? Just about anyone is coming," Ventus said. Terra and Aqua laughed.

"Wish we could, but our families has some other plans," Aaua said.

"Also, we don't want to get you into any trouble," Terra added.

"We can hang out anytime, can we?" Ventus asked.

"Sure," Terra said.

"Great! And I wanna say that I wanna get to know you two. Terra, you're very cool, and Aqua, you're very pretty," Ventus said. Terra and Aqua both smiled.

"Thank you, Ventus," Aqua said.

"You can call me Ven. My cousin's always calling me that," Ventus said.

"Okay, Ven," Terra said. "We could have a talk with your dad."

Terra and Aqua had a word with Danny, asking them if they would hang out with Ventus, and Danny said that it was okay with him, since he and Cattleya were looking for someone to look after Ventus when they weren't around.

Ever since then, they have been close friends.

(Flashback end)

Terra and Aqua both smile at the memory. Dawn and Lucas were also thinking of a happy memory of their own. Dawn was being picked on by a boy at school.

(Flashback)

"What's the matter? You crying? What a baby," the boy said.

"Hey! Leave her alone!" Lucas called out, running up to her.

"Says who?" The boy asked.

"Says me," Lucas said.

"And what are you going to do, tough guy?" The boy asked, pushing him, Lucas pushes him back. The boy fell over and scraped his elbow. He ran off crying. Lucas turned to Dawn.

"You okay?" Lucas asked. Dawn nodded. He took out a handkerchief and dried off her tears.

"There you go, don't cry," Lucas said. "My name is Lucas, what's your name?"

"Dawn," Dawn replied. Dawn looked right at Lucas and she started to have a crush on him. Lucas was having a crush on her as well.

(Flashback end)

Both of Lucas and Dawn were smiling at the memory. Sakkakumon just couldn't handle all the happiness going around. Sora was having all sorts of happy memories. And they were all the kisses he and Kairi has shared through all their journeys. The happiness was overwhelming him.

"What is this?! Could this be the repulsive stench of happiness and joy?"Sakkakumon asked.

"Your plan to get us scared just backfired, Sakkakumon! Just like when you were ShadowSerpahimon!" Sora said.

"Silence! I shall not be foiled by thee! Ice Beam!" Sakkakumon shouted, firing Ice Beam, only for Pikachu and Angel to fire Thunderbolt and Swuft all at once and they struck him at the same time. That gave him an idea. "Guys, bring your Pokémon back out!" Riku, Kairi, Lucas, and Dawn looked right at him.

"Why?" Dawn asked.

"Trust me," Sora said. He, Kairi, Riku, Lucas, and Dawn called out their Pokémon, so Sora has to put it to the test. "Heatran! Magma Storm! Latios! Luster Purge! Comine the two!" Heatran and Latios combined their attacks and they struck Sakkakumon at the same time.

"Gadzooks! I don't have that in my records!" Sakkakumon exclaimed.

"You don't because they never been used before! And that's another weakness of yours!" Sora said. "You can only stop our attacks individually, but not when we mix them up!"

"Gotcha! Floatzel! Use Aqua Jet!" Lucas ordered.

"Buneary! Ice Beam!" Dawn ordered. Floatzel uses Aqua Jet and Buneary fires Ice Beam and it makes an Ice Aqua Jet and it struck Sakkakumon hard.

"Arcanine! Fire Blast! Luxray! Use Charge Beam!" Lucas ordered. Arcanine and Luxray combines their attacks and they struck him.

"Eevee! Use Shadow Ball!" Riku ordered.

"Angel! Use Swift!" Kairi ordered.

"Piplup! Whirlpool!" Dawn ordered. Piplup whips up a whirlpool as Eevee and Angel fire Shadow Ball and swift into the whirlpool and the combo attacks head right towards Sakkakumon and struck him.

"It's over, Sakkakumon! You lost!" Sora said.

"No! I have not lost! I shall destroy thee once and for all!" Sakkakumon said. Sakkaukumon kept moving around and he noticed the center hasn't once moved around.

"Sakkakumon hasn't attacked us from there. That must be his weak spot. He's always covering that up. We just got to get him to hold still," Sora said in his thoughts.

"Pika!" Pikachu said.

"Guys, let's all attack all at once! We might get him to stop moving just for a second," Sora said.

"Right!" Lucas said. "Grotle! Razor Leaf! Arcanine! Flamethrower! Luxray! Thunder! Floatzel! Water Pulse! Gliscor! Hyper Beam! Staraptor! Brave Bird!"

"Pipup! Bubble Beam! Buneary! Ice Beam! Ambipom! Swift! Cyndaquil! Flamethrower! Mamoswine! Ice Shard! Pachirisu! Discharge!" Dawn ordered.

"Eevee! Shadow Ball! Toxicroak! Sludge Wave! Luxray! Charge Beam! Lucario! Aura Sphere! Urshifu! Dark Pulse! Incineroar! Darkest Lariat!" Riku ordered.

"Angel! Swift! Froslass! Ice Beam! Shaymin! Seed Flare! Latias! Mist Ball! Slowking! Flamethrower! Pachirisu! Discharge!" Kairi ordered.

"Torterra! Leaf Storm! Heatran! Magma Storm! Infernape! Flamethrower! Slowbro! Side Shell Arm! Latios! Luster Purge!" Sora ordered.

All of the Pokémon all launched their attacks and they combined and landed a hit onto Sakkakumon, leaving his center exposed. Sakkakumon screams as he is now paralyzed.

"No! No! NOOOOOOO!" Sakkakumon screamed.

"Pikachu! Volt Tackle!" Sora ordered. Pikachu ran towards Sakkakumon with incredible power and speed and lands the finishing blow onto the Beast Warrior of Steel. "You have been defeated Sakkakumon!" Sakkakumon dissolves into bits of data, having finally been destroyed. Both Mercurymon forms has been destroyed for good. "You'll never trouble us again." With that settled, the group all stepped out of the cave with the Digimon, standing on their feet.

"Sora. Where's Sakkakumon?" Agumon asked.

"Gone," Sora said.

"Sora found his weakness and used it!" Ventus said.

"Looks like Myotismon is running low on guys," Meowth said.

"And that's going well for us," Riku said.

Watching from start to finish, Myotismon stood up from his seat.

"It would seem that Mercurymon's plan was doomed to failure. Etemon, Ogremon, Grumblemon, Arbormon, Ranamon, and now Mercurymon has been defeated. No matter. This world will be mine! And there will be nothing they can do to stop me," Myotismon said.

Night came as the group has celebrated their victory and rested from a long grueling day of fighting inside of Sakkakumon and then finally defeating him. They still have Myotismon, NeoDevimon, as well as AxeKnightmon, his followers, and Team Galactic to contend with, but eventually Team Shadow. The battle for peace continues.
