Episode 401: Darkness Cometh
Many days has passed since Sakkakumon has been defeated. Knowing attacks from Myotismon's forces or from AxeKnightmon are imminent, they decided to stick together for a while. They kept their eyes open for any signs. Luckily there was no signs, yet.
"Okay, let's review. So far, we took down Etemon, Ogremon, Grumblemon, Arbormon, Ranamon, and Mercurymon. But we also took out a Demon Lord, so we're making good progress in defeating evil Digimon," Sora said.
"We haven't dealt with AxeKnightmon since the Regigigas incident, since Red XIII tore off her arm," Terra said.
"But it doesn't mean that we won't deal with them," Naminé said.
"I'm with her. Ever since Grumblemon launched his attack on us, I don't think we ever had a moment's peace. Myotismon and AxeKnightmon are just as bad as the Brotherhood of Darkness," Kairi said.
"And I wouldn't say this if I was still a member, but even Team Rocket will just be horseflies compared to those two," Meowth said.
"I'll have to agree. Even if Team Rocket were in league with either one of them, they would double cross them the first chance they had," Riku said.
"I just hope nothing else happens so far," Sora said.
In Hunter J's ship, AxeKnightmon sat in J's command chair. He has overseen the Sinnoh region as J is getting adjusted to her new artificial arm.
"When I find the best that ripped off my arm, I'll make it pay! The same for that Sora and that damn AxeKnightmon," J hissed. "And those deal-breaking fools, Team Shadow." Over to AxeKnightmon, he turned to Dynasmon.
"How much further are we?" AxeKnightmon asked.
"Not too long, my liege," Dynasmon said.
"Good," AxeKnightmon said. The ship makes a landing as AxeKnightmon, Lucemon, Lilithmon, Barbamon, Dynasmon, Crusadermon, Craniamon, Examon, and Daemon has stepped out. Impmon Digivolved to Beelzemon.
"What news do you have, Beelzemon?" AxeKnightmon asked.
"Mercurymon has bit the dust, days ago. Myotismon's forces are dwindling," Beezlemon said.
"And the war in the Digital World?" AxeKnightmon asked.
"Leomon has managed to push back Myotismon's forces. It's been like that ever since Machinedramon's rampage. The war might be over," Beelzemon said.
"No matter who destroys who, the Victor shall be we. Continue with your task, Beelzemon," AxeKnightmon said.
"On it," Beelzemon said, reverting back to Impmon.
J was being guarded by Daemon and Belphemon. Daemon was filled with rage over the loss of Leviamon. AxeKnightmon wanted to make sure J didn't try to take back her ship.
Back to the group, they were waiting for the spy in Myotismon's ranks.
"Just who exactly are we waiting for?" Ventus asked.
"A friend," Agunimon said. And it turns out to be Wizardmon that they're waiting for. "And speak of the devil."
"Who are you?" Kairi asked.
"Wizardmon," the wizard-like Digimon responded.
"Wait, I know you! You among the Digimon working for Myotismon," Sora said.
"Yes. I have been working undercover since day 1. I was the one who sent Puppetmon your way. Puppetmon has defected from Myotismon's services and joined with the Resistance," Wizardmon said.
"At least it's good to know you're on our side. Anyway I'm-" Sora was about to introduce himself when Wizardmon cuts him off.
"Sora Ketchum. A human ally of the Resistance. Along with Kairi and Ventus. And you are Terra and Aqua. You are also Riku and Naminé. And you two are Lucas and Dawn," Wizardmon said.
"If you were a spy the whole time, how come you didn't show up the first chance you had?" Ventus asked.
"The risk was too great. If Myotismon knew I have been collaborating with you, then he will know and my cover will be blown. I couldn't risk it," Wizardmon said.
"With Grumblemon, and the others showing up like crazy, it's no wonder," Meowth said.
"So, what's up?" Sora asked.
"Myotismon is planning another attack on you. And it may come much sooner than you think," Wizardmon warned.
"And I was just getting over the fight we had with Sakkakumon, especially when he was using our own moves against us," Lucas said.
"It was Sora, Kairi, and Riku's Pokémon he copied," Dawn reminded him.
"I shouldn't stay too long. I came to give you this warning," Wizardmon said.
"And we appreciate it. You should be careful as well," Kairi said. Wizardmon nodded as he vanished.
Wizardmon has returned to Myotismon's hiding place, hoping no one would notice.
Duskmon has rested long enough and he took out his blade.
"I was careless the last time, but I won't make such a mistake again," Duskmon said.
Over to NeoDevimon flew and he landed on a pole.
"I may not have destroyed them, but I will have my shot with them next time," NeoDevimon said.
"And I shall insist you, NeoDevimon," LadyDevimon said.
"And I welcome the assistance, LadyDevimon. Your devotion will not go unrewarded," NeoDevimon said.
Back with the group, Sora and Kairi has exchanged Latios, Slowbro, Heatran, Latias, Pachirisu, Frosslass, Slowking, and Shaymin for Empoleon, Snover, and Drakloak for Empoleon, Snover, Luxray, Flareon, Vaporeon, Jolteon, Purugly, and Vespiquen. The couple trained with Lucas and Dawn to get done. Snover was sparring with Gliscor.
"Gliscor! X-Scissor!" Lucas ordered. Gliscor came right at Snover with X-Scissor.
"Snover! Ice Punch!" Sora ordered. Snover gave an Ice Punch and lands a hit onto Gliscor. The fang scorpion Pokémon takes a heavy hit from its weakness to Ice Type attacks.
Over to Kairi and Dawn, Kairi is using Purugly as Dawn is using Pachirisu.
"Purugly! Use Slash!" Kairi ordered. Purugly comes at Pachirisu.
"Dodge and use Super Fang!" Dawn ordered. Pachirisu comes at the tiger cat Pokémon with Super Fang. Purugly and Pachirisu clashed towards each other.
As it went on, Snover has evolved into an Abomasnow. Sora's newly evolved Abomasnow has a shorter chest fur than the one Candice is training. Sora and Lucas trained using Drakloak and Staraptor. The two of them took to the skies. During the training, Drakloak had evolved into a Dragapult.
"That's great, Lucas. You're getting better," Sora said.
"Thanks, Sora. I appreciate it," Lucas said. "And I know you'll do great in your Gym battle."
"Thanks. I appreciate that," Sora said.
Both of Sora and Lucas shook hands. Kairi and Dawn also shook hands. Kairi was getting a meal ready for everyone after a hard day of training. The Warrior Digimon took vigilance to watch for danger. As the meal went on, a very familiar face came to the scene.
"Hey! Guys!" Barry shouted, catching everyone's attention.
"Barry!" Sora said.
"It's been a while. It feels like forever," Barry said.
"Right back you, Barry. What have you been up to?" Sora asked.
"Get this, I have been hearing some rumors of Digimon jumping out. I heard that one of them attacked after the Johto Festival and another in the woods. And one more that is crazy strong. I heard that Digimon is wearing black boney armor and has red swords," Barry said. Sora and the rest knew they were talking about Grumblemon, Arbormon, and Duskmon.
"We would know all about that," Ventus said.
"Thought you would," Barry said. The explained that it was three of Myotismon's followers and they had been destroyed. Ranamon and Mercurymon being the most recent, after they have been led into a trap. "I can't believe you were inside a Digimon!"
"Neither do we, but the good news is Ranamon and Mercurymon won't bother us anymore," Sora said.
"The bad news is that Vorvomon, the Dracomon Brothers, Devimon, and Duskmon are still out there," Riku added.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Eevee," Eevee said.
"So, what do we do if we run into them?" Dawn asked.
"Fight them, that's what. Also, there's still AxeKnightmon, the Royal Knights, and the remining Demon Lords to deal with. I have a feeling, no one is really safe as long as they're still around," Sora said.
"So, the only way to truly stop them is to destroy them completely," Terra said.
"Sora might be right. They'll just be a problem as long as they're still around," Aqua said.
"And there's still the Matter of Paul. I have a feeling that might be how Myotismon got him to think that way," Sora said. "Myotismon is using Paul's anger and hate to control him, and we already know he's getting out of hand."
"And speaking of Paul, why are you trying to save that meanie and bully human?" Agumon asked.
"Agumon as much as I don't like Paul I made a promise I would help Reggie to knock some senses into him," Sora said.
"If only there is someone who knows Paul's condition it would be a good start," Kairi said. Everyone all starting thinking. Tentomon then has gotten idea on who they should turn to.
"I know someone who can help us, but I don't know if this is a good idea since he is a little... eccentric," Tentomon said. Gabumon got wide-eyed to who Tentomon might be suggesting to.
"Tentomon, you're not thinking about turning to... to... him, are you?" Gabumon asked. The kids all looked right at the bug-like Digimon.
"Him who?" Terra asked.
"Tentomon is talking about a Digimon named Wisemon. Wisemon is one of the greatest minds in the digital world. He knows lot of things, but some digimon feel uneasy about his methods but if there is someone who knows Paul's Condition it's him. We don't have any choices," Patamon said.
"Right, all help is necessary now that Myotismon is out on the loose, especially after losing some of his best Digimon," Gatomon said.
"But shouldn't we be heading in the Digital World to get to him?" Naminé asked.
"Azurill," Azurill chirped.
"She's right. It's not like we can just go right through a Digital Gate that just randomly opened up," Riku said.
"Yeah, that's a problem," Lucas said.
Everyone was thinking of something. They were wondering how they were going to enter the Digital World again. Just as they were drawing a blank, Ventus has noticed some extremely out of the ordinary. He sees a floating book coming towards them.
"Uh, guys," Ventus said. Everyone all looked at Ventus.
"What is it, Ven?" Aqua asked.
"I don't know about you but is it me or is that a flying giant book coming into our direction?" Ven points to the flying book coming towards them. The Digimon knew who it was.
"Wisemon!" The Digimon all exclaimed.
"Wisemon is a book?" Barry asked.
"Wisemon is in the book," Gaomon said.
"How did he get in there?" Dawn asked.
"Like we know how that guy thinks," Terriermon said.
"Also guys, he's one of our greatest informants, but he's also a great stalker, and he has a huge sense of curiosity, and he never seen a human before, so try to make a good impression, okay?" Veemon asked.
"We'll try," Sora said. The book opens up to reveal a humanoid Digimon wearing a red cloak with a gold hood, hiding his face. He has yellow beady eyes in the faceless Digimon. He also has gold wings and he wore black shoes.
"Sora Ketchum, I presume," the Digimon spoke.
"How did you-?" Sora's question was cut.
"I know all about you. Sora Ketchum, the Pokémon League Champion of Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn. Also known as Kingdom Hearts. And that must be Kairi, the Pokémon Coordinator who won the Hoenn Grand Festival and is currently is possession of five Contest Ribbons to enter the Sinnoh Grand Festival. Also there is Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Riku, Naminé, Lucas, Barry, and Dawn. And the Pokémon as well. The one that really interests me is that one there," Wisemon said, pointing to Meowth.
"I have a feeling it's because I can talk, isn't it?" Meowth asked.
"Just how did you find us so quick? We were thinking of how we were going to get to you," Sora asked.
"I know. I also know of your accomplishments. You defeated Etemon, Ogremon, Leviamon, Grumblemon, Arbormon, Ranamon, and Sakkakumon. I came here from the Digital World about your problem with a trainer named Paul," Wisemon said.
"You weren't kidding about him being a stalker," Riku said.
"When I looked into Paul's aura, I saw that Myotismon was showing him an illusion of us talking bad about him," Sora said.
"Yes. It was to make it easier to control him, without him knowing it," Wisemon said.
"You know something, when we were inside of Sakkakumon, I saw an illusion of me and Kairi breaking up. You know anything about that?" Sora asked.
"Of course I know," Wisemon scoffed. "It was the same method Myotismon used on him. They were trying to break your will and crush your spirits by using what you love and cherish against you. You were able to break free because your will so much stronger than Paul's."
"Our will is stronger?" Kairi asked.
"Ding-ding-ding! That is correct! Mercurymon gravely miscalculated your will, but he was still determined to defeat you. And yet, his overconfidence did him in," Wisemon said.
"Why Paul?" Lucas asked.
"Shortly after you and he lost in the Hearthome Tag Battle Tournament, it was Duskmon who brought him over and you know the rest," Wisemon said. "Myotismon had his eye on Paul since learning of him. He the jealousy and hate he shared for you since he first met you and learned of your greatness. And that made it easier for Myotismon to control him. And the more time Paul's rage grew, the more unstable he became. So, Myotismon has been watching the battles you and he shared. And what really set him off was witnessing the battle between you and Brandon."
"How will we get Paul back to normal?" Sora asked.
"Oh, you'll have to figure that out for yourself," Wisemon said. Sora stood up and went right towards him.
"What do you mean I have to figure it out? You came all this way and then, you won't help us out? Some help you are!" Sora said.
"But I can give you a little hint. Some truths cannot be told, but they can be shown," Wisemon said, vanishing into his book and it flew off.

Days later, they started to make their way to Sunyshore City, but Sora senses something going on in Mount Coronet. He has his vision of J's ship sinking into Lake Valor, and Palkia and Dialga being bound in red chains chains. Sora looked right at the sky and he felt uneasy, knowing something was about to happen, and sooner than he realized. This hasn't escaped Kairi's notice.
"Sora, what's wrong?" Kairi asked with concern. He turned to his girlfriend.
"Kairi, a word," Sora said.
"Sure," Kairi said. Sora led Kairi from the others, because he didn't want the others to think it was Myotismon going at it again. "Sora, tell me. What's wrong?"
"It's the visions. They're getting worse," Sora sasaid. Kairi could tell that was a bad thing.
"You mean about Palkia and Dialga? And about J's ship sinking?" Kairi asked.
"Yeah. And that one world Dialga and Palkia opens up. It's extremely different from the ones we've been through," Sora said.
"You think it's Myotismon planning something?" Kairi asked.
"No. I think it's Team Galactic. You know they're planning to destroy the world, just to make a new one," Sora said.
"We will stop them, Sora. Just have faith. Faith is what saved us from Sakkakumon. We were in situations where the world was in danger, so we overcame it together," Kairi assured her boyfriend. She gave him a light kiss on the lips. "Don't forget, we're in this together." Sora smiled and he kissed her back.
"Thanks, Kairi. You always know what to say," Sora said. Kairi smiled as they rejoined their friends. Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Lucas, Dawn, Barry, Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, Azurill, Meowth, and the Digimon were resting their feet when Pikachu's ears perked up.
"Pika!" Pikachu called out.
"What's wrong, Pikachu?" Sora asked.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Someone's here?!" Meowth exclaimed.
Just then, LadyDevimon appeared before them.
"Well, well, well, what do we have here? A band of misfits," LadyDevimon said, cackling. Kairi and Dawn both an instant disliking to her.
"Misfits?" Dawn asked.
"How rude!" Kairi said.
Aqua took out her Digidex and analyzed her.
"LadyDevimon. She's a fallen angel Digimon and a female version of Devimon. An Ultimate level. She unleashes her Darkness Wave at her opponents," Aqua said.
"LadyDevimon," Sora could only say.
"You all look tired. Perhaps you would like to have a rest," LadyDevimon said, hissing. "Perhaps a nice long rest."
"Not if I have anything to say!" Agunimon said, jumping towards her. "Pyro Darts!" He unleashed his fire attack at her, and she swipes his claw at him. The Digimon all started to Digivolve to beat her.

The Digimon all gathered around LadyDevimon, getting ready to attack. Kazemon started to move first.
"Hurricane Wave!" Kazemon shouted, unleashing her tiny tornadoes from her fingertips. LadyDevimon easily dodges and she moves back.
"Darkness Wave!" LadyDevimon, unleashed several bats at the Warrior of Wind. Kazemon took the hit and she fell to the ground. The bats were about to finish her off, Angewomon came to her rescue. She blocked the bats from going forward.
"Are you alright, Kazemon?" Angewomon asked.
"Yes, thanks to you, Angewomon," Kazemon said. LadyDevimon went up to Angewomon and gave her a slap across the face. Angewomon slaps her back. LadyDevimon slapped her again, and so did Angewomon.
"Take this, bitch!" LadyDevimon yelled giving Angewomon another slap.
"And you take this!" Angewomon yelled, giving LadyDevimon a slap in the face again. Rapidmon flew right behind Angewomon.
"Move out of the way, Angewomon! I don't wanna hit you!" Rapidmon said. NeoDevimon came behind him and slashed him. Rapidmon groaned in pain. "Ouch!" Rapidmon starts falling to the ground.
"Rapidmon!" Kumamon said.
"NeoDevimon, I knew you'd show up!" Riku said.
"And I shant disappoint," NeoDevimon said, laughing. "Taking you on alone would have been foolish on my part, so I recruited some help. Guilty Claw!" NeoDevimon heads right at Riku, only for Loweemon threw his lance at him. Agunimon and Lobomon started to Digivolve.
"Agunimon Digivolve to... Aldamon!"

"Beetlemon Slide Evolution... MetalKabuertimon!"

The Beast Warrior Digimon launched their attacks at NeoDevimon. But he dodges and he unleashed his attack.
"Guilty Claw!" NeoDevimon shouted, unleashing his attacks and they took a bad hit.
Antylamon came at NeoDevimon with his axes ready.
"Here I come! Treasure Axes!" Antylamon shouted, swinging his axes. NeoDevimon smacks him. MachGaogamon, MachoStingmon, ShiningAquilamon, and Lilamon rushes at him, but NeoDevimon fought back.

NeoDevimon has taken heavy damage from their attacks, leaving some scratches on his body.
Angewomon and LadyDevimon continued their fight as LadyDevimon came behind her and grabbed her by the hair. She apins her around.
"Round and round we go!" LadyDevimon said, laughing. Angewomon screamed in pain. "I never liked that bleached blonde look!" MegaKabuterimon flew right in front of them. "Happy trails!" LadyDevimon lets go of Angewomon.
"Gotcha!" MegaKabuterimon said.
"Let me go! Let me at her!" Angewomon yelled, breaking out of MegaKabuterimon's hold and dashed right at her. "It's on, bitch!" Angewomon gave her another slap in the face.
"Here they go again," Sora said.
"Women are scary when they're angry," Barry said.
"Get her! Knock that witch's block off!" Dawn shouted.
"Knock her out of the sky!" Kairi added.
"Eevee!" Angel added.
"Enough of this!" LadyDevimon shouted, gave Angewomon a kick down to the ground. "This game is over! Darkness Spear!" LadyDevimon's left hand turned into a spear and darts down to Angewomon, but MagnaAngemon comes to her aide and slashes it off. "Aah! You broke it!"
"Put it on my tab!" MagnaAngemon said. Angewomon flew in front of LadyDevimon.
"You're right, LadyDevimon! This game is over!" Angewomon said.
LadyDevimon, "Darkness Wa-"
Angewomon, "Heaven's Charm!" Angewomon threw her arms in front of her and sends out a pink cross and it struck LadyDevimon, making her scream in pain.
"I'm melting!" LadyDevimon cried as she dissolves into bits of data. NeoDevimon turned to LadyDevimon!
"No! LadyDevimon!" NeoDevimon shouted. "You're going to pay for that!" MegaKabuterimon, MagnaAngemon, Angewomon, and Zephyrmon joined forces against NeoDevimon.
"You're outnumbered, NeoDevimon!" MagnaAngemon said.
"And now, you're finished!" WereGarurumon added as MetalGreymon and WereGarurumon has transformed into their Alteros and Sagittarius Modes.

The Digimon all launched their attacks again, and it does heavy damage to NeoDevimon. He fell to the ground, beaten.
"No. This isn't how it was supposed to be!" NeoDevimon said.
"You're finished, NeoDevimon," Sora said.
"I think not," a familiar voice spoke. And it belonged to Duskmon.
"It's Duskmon again!" Ventus exclaimed.
"That's the Digimon with the red blades, isn't it?" Barry asked.
"That's him," Sora said.
"Worry not, NeoDevimon, you shall not fall so easily into battle. I shall help you," Duskmon said, pouring an energy of pure darkness into NeoDevimon, making him scream in pain. NeoDevimon has begun to Digivolve, as half of his mask breaks off, revealing an evil yellow eye. NeoDevimon melts into a huge puddle, much evwryone's dismay. NeoDevimon has become a much larger demonic Digimon. This new Digimon looked like a mix of Spawn and Venom. The new Digimon has a much larger pair of wings and a pair of large arms growing from his back. Everyone were constantly afraid of this new Digimon.
"What is that thing?" Barry asked.
"One scary ass Digimon, that's what!" Lucas said. Sora slowly took his Digidex out and analyzed him.
"DoneDevimon. A Mega level. DoneDevimon has a mentality that goes from normal to abnormal. His attacks are Destroy Claw, Ultimate Flare, and Mias-spew," Sora said.
"Now the time has come to devour you all!" DoneDevimon said.
"We fight back!" WarGrowlmon said.

All of the attacks all collide and they struck him. None of the attacks has landed a scratch on him. DoneDevimon, raises his arms and brought them down, striking them. Duskmon has jumped in and started to Slide Evolve.
"Duskmon Slide Evolution... Velgemon!" He flew right at the injured Digimon, striking them hard. Aldamon and BeoWolfmon charged right at Velgemon, hoping to bring him down as the Ultimate level Digimon all revert back to their previous forms.
"DoneDevimon is too powerful! You have to Digivolve to Mega to defeat him!" Sora called out.
"On it!" The Digimon all said as they all started to Digivolve again.
"Agumon Double Warp Digivolve to... WarGreymon!"
"Gabumon Double Warp Digivolve to... MetalGarurumon!"

The Digimon launched their attacks and struck DoneDevimon hard.
"You cannot defeat me! Ultimate Flare!" DoneDevimon shouted, unleashing destructive flares. WarGreymon got into position and spun around and around.
"Brave Tornado!" WarGreymon shouted, drilling through his attack. DoneDevimon smacked him down. Velgemon flew towards Aldamon and BeoWolfmon with so much fierceness and attempted to grab them in his talons. Velgemon comes back around and grabs Aldamon.
"Put him down!" BeoWolfmon shouted. He jumped and slashes right at Velgemon, making him drop Aldamon. "You okay?"
"I'm fine! Now, we have to finish this now!" Aldamon said.
"Right! Cleansing Light!" BeoWolfmon shouted, firing lasers and missles at him.
"Atomic Inferno!" Aldamon shouted, firing a barrage of fireballs and they struck him. Velgemon started to fall towards the ground. "We got him the ropes! Let's finish him now!"
"Right!" BeoWolfmon said.
Aldamon, "Solar Wind Destroyer!"
BeoWolfmon, "Frozen Hunter!"
Both of Aldamon and BeoWolfmon unleashed their attacks and they both struck Velgemon, making him scream in pain as he reverts back into Duskmon and dissolves into bits of data. Duskmon has been destroyed. With Duskmon gone, the only one left is DoneDevimon.
"It's all over DoneDevimon!" WarGreymon said.
"No! It cannot be!" DoneDevimon said.
"But it is! Terra Force!" WarGreymon started to build up energy and hurls it right down towards DoneDevimon. He attempts to block with his hands, but UlforceVeedramon, Gallantmon, Aldamon, and BeoWolfmon came and they headed for his extra arms.
"Sever those arms!" Gallantmon shouted.
"On it!" UlforceVeedramon said.
Aldamon, "Atomic Inferno!"
BeoWolfmon, "Beo Saber!"
UlforceVeedramon, "Victory Sword!"
Gallantmon, "Royal Saber!"
The attacks cuts through DoneDevimon's large arms. WarGreymon's Terra Force struck DoneDevimon, dissolving him into bits of data while being destroyed. All of the Digimon all reverted back to their previous forms after a fierce battle.
"You're next Myotismon," Sora said.
Now that Devimon and Duskmon has been eliminated, Myotismon is still left standing. Will Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Lucas, Dawn, Barry, Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, Azurill, Meowth, and the Digimon be able to defeat Myotismon and AxeKnightmon? And how close is Team Galactic into preparing for their master plan? We shall find out in the next chapter.
