Episode 403: The Needs of the Three
Night has come as Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Lucas, Dawn, Barry, Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, Azurill, Meowth, and the Digimon were sleeping soundly. We enter the dreams of Sora, Kairi, Riku, Lucas, Dawn, and Barry. They look around to see Azelf, Mesprit, and Uxie appear before them.
"What's going on?" Barry asked.
"Azelf," Sora said.
"Mesprit," Kairi said.
"Uxie," Riku said.
"What are they doing here?" Lucas asked.
"This happened before," Riku said. The Twinleaf trio looked right at Sora, Kairi, and Riku.
"It did?" Dawn asked.
"When did you see them?" Barry asked.
"It was in Celestic Town when Team Galactic were stealing the Lustrous Orb," Sora said.
"But why are they in our dreams?" Lucas asked.
"You are all sharing the same dream," Azelf said. "Both of Sora and Lucas are connected to me, as Kairi and Dawn are connected to Mesprit, as Riku and Barry are connected to Uxie." They all looked right at one another.
"We know it's Darkrai and Cresselia doing this, but why are you making contact with us now?" Riku asked.
"The danger is looming ever closer!" Uxie said.
"Team Galactic has gotten most of what they need to make their new world a reality," Uxie said.
"They got the Adamant Orb, the Lustrous Orb, and something about the Veilstone Meteorites," Sora said.
"Yes, but they have required the Red Chain," Mesprit said. That sounded very familiar to him since he saw red chains on Palkia and Dialga.
"Red Chain?" Lucas asked.
"Yes. That is what Team Galactic were resurrecting when you confronted them recently," Uxie said.
"And now they require our power to make it complete. You mustn't allow it to happen," Azelf said.
"How?" Dawn asked.
"What do you expect us to do?" Lucas asked.
"You must stop Team Galactic to their source. They do not realize the danger they are putting themselves in," Uxie said.
"You six are the ones that cannot let the world be destroyed," Azelf said.
"You must hurry," Mesprit said.
The Lake Guardians all vanished as a large shadow has emerged. The Lake Guardians tried to escape it, but it was no use. It caught up with them. At that moment, Sora, Kairi, Riku, Lucas, Dawn, and Barry woke up right at the same time.
"What a dream!" Barry said, panting.
On the very next morning, Sora, Kairi, Riku, Lucas, Dawn, and Barry were discussing the dream.
"You think it's getting worse by the second, do you?" Lucas asked.
"Judging how it's turning out, I will say that's a big yes," Kairi said.
"A really big yes," Sora said.
Over to J's ship, Pokémon Hunter J, her crew, AxeKnightmon, Lucemon, Belphemon, and Daemon had just arrived into Lake Valor.
"We have just arrived in Lake Valor," one of J's henchmen said.
"Sir, we arrived in Lake Valor," one of J's henchmen reported.
"Descend 500 meters. Prepare the Galactic Bomb," J ordered. The ship opens to reveal a bomb that has Team Galactic's logo on it. Gary has spotted J's ship and he knew it was a bad sign. He made contact with Professor Rowan.
"Come in, Professor Rowan. This is Gary Oak is Lake Valor. Pokémon Hunter J is here," Gary reported.
In Sangem Town, Professor Rowan oversees the situation on the screen.
"I can assume that she has come for Azelf. Get in touch with Yuzo in Lake Verity and Professor Carolina in Lake Acurity," Professor Rowan said.
"Yes sir!" One of the research staff members said.
Back in Lake Valor, Gary took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Electivire!" Gary called out. Electivire came on out.
"Toxicroak! Use Dark Pulse!" Saturn ordered. Gary and his Pokémon turned to see Dark Pulse coming right at him. Electivire managed to block the attack, but took some heavy damage.
"Electivire!" Gary gasped. He glared right at Saturn and the Team Galactic grunts.
"Get lost," Saturn told him.
"You're Team Galactic, huh? I'm not going to stand by and let you go! Umbreon! Use Psychic!" Gary ordered.
"X-Scissor!" Saturn ordered. Toxicroak crossed her arms and lands a blow onto Umbreon.
"No! Umbreon!" Gary gasped. He glared at Saturn as he took out another Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Blastoise!" Blastoise came on out. "Use Hydro Cannon!"
"Dark Sigh!" A voice shouted, surrounding Gary and his Pokémon with black flames. Gary couldn't make heads or tails of what was happening.
"What?! Black fire? Where did that come from?" Gary asked. He got his answer when Belphemon appeared above him.
"You should heed his advice, human," Belphemon said. Gary glared right at Belphemon with defiance in his eyes. Above the lake, J's ship hovers above the middle of the lake.
"Sir, we arrived to the drop point," J's henchmen said.
"Release the Galactic Bomb," J ordered. The bomb drops in the lake's center, detonating. It then creates a whirlpool. Light shines at the lake's bottom. Azelf lets out a loud cry.
At the Pokémon Center he and his friends were staying in, Sora was about to take a bite of breakfast when he drops his fork and holds his head. He screams in pain as did Lucas. Kairi and Dawn became concerned for the two of them.
"Sora! What's wrong?" Kairi asked.
"It's Azelf. Something's happening!" Sora said.
"What?" Ventus asked.
"Azelf is in trouble," Lucas said.
"What do you mean in trouble?" Aqua asked.
"It can't be good," Agumon said.
Back in Lake Valor, the whirlpool extends to the bottom of the lake as the light continues to shine. A couple of Magikarp are flopping around. Gary was shocked to see this.
"It can't be!" Gary exclaimed.
"I'll enlighten you. The Galactic Bomb, made from the metoer we took out from Veilstone City is powerful enough to open up a hole in space. You see, the lake Pokémon don't actually live in the lake. The truth is, the Lake Guardians simply observes our world from another dimension in a portal that very much looks like a lake," Saturn explained.
Over to Paul, his rage was building up more and more. Myotismon knew his seed of darkness was growing even more powerful.
"Yes, the plan is coming together. No one will be able to stop me after coming so far. My last puppet is still under my control. Now to end the game," Myotismon said. He appeared right before Paul. He stopped and glared right at him.
"You again?! What do you want?" Paul snarled.
"Simply to talk," Myotismon said. Paul was still glaring at the vampire-like Digimon with extreme rage, much to Myotismon's delight.
"I don't have time to waste on the likes of you! Unless you want to get pulverized, I suggest that you get out of my way now!" Paul yelled.
"You should reserve your energy for your real enemy," Myotismon said. Paul glared at him again.
"My real enemy?! Who are you talking about?!" Paul yelled. Myotismon laughed.
"Why Sora of course. I was watching those battles and saw how much he has humiliated you, am I right?" Myotismon asked.
"Don't you say his name around me! That fraud has one-upped me in every chance he got!" Paul said. Myotismon raised his hand and he increases the darkness within him. "What are you doing?!"
"Giving you darkness. The power of darkness is what will give you strength. Your anger and your hate are the sources of your darkness. Embrace the darkness. Let the darkness empower you," Myotismon said. Paul grits his teeth, feeling the darkness in his heart grow. "Sora is your enemy! Let your hatred of Sora power you up! You must destroy him! Destroy him with your power!" Paul grits his teeth as he is allowing the darkness to grow. Memories of his defeats by the hands of Sora begins to rush in.
"You lost to me because you were quick to underestimate me. You rely on power alone and that's why you lost," Sora said. Paul growled having to be lectured by Sora for their first battle.
"I don't need to be lectured by the likes of you, Sora!" Paul said. He remembered the battle in the final round of the Hearthome Tag Battle Tournament against him and Riku.
(Flashback)
"Flamethrower!" Sora ordered.
"Shadow Ball!" Riku ordered.
Chimchar and Eevee unleashed Flamethrower and Shadow Ball and struck Electabuzz hard. The electric Pokémon was overwhelmed with the two attacks and fell to the ground beaten.
"Electabuzz is unable to battle!" The referee announced.
"WHAT?!" Paul exclaimed.
(Flashback ends)
"I was supposed to defeat them both! I was supposed to defeat them both!" Paul exclaimed. Paul remembered his battle last against Sora and how defeated his team. "He made me look like a fool in front of my brother! And because if that he has become a softie! I will never accept that he's a Pokémon League Champion!" He remembered Roark recognizing who he is and how he battled against him and win. He remembered how he watched the battle with Brandon and how Sora was able to win when Brandon hasn't lost a single one. What even got to him is how he had won against all the members of the Hoenn Frontier Brains and broadcasted for the world to see.
"It is as I said before, he mocks you with his power! You couldn't defeat you, so he humiliates you in every corner. He does it to spite you. You can avenge yourself and defeat him. Destroy him with your power! Destroy him!" Myotismon said. Paul has now been completely fused with the darkness and he sets off to destroy Sora once and for all.
"Sora, you're in for it now! I'll show you what real power is, once and for all!" Paul said, running. Myotismon grinned.
"That was too easy," Myotismon said. He vanished.
In the Pokémon Center, Sora and his friends has made contact with Professor Rowan to tell them about how Sora and Lucas felt Azelf in trouble. He was amazed by this claim and he knew it was troubling.
"I can't believe you six felt something," Professor Rowan said.
"Why is it happening, professor?" Barry asked.
"And how come it's just Sora, Kairi, Lucas, Riku, Barry, and Dawn, and not the rest of us?" Ventus asked.
"I'm afraid I don't know, but Team Galactic and Pokémon Hunter J have arrived in Lake Valor, but Gary is doing what he can to fend them off," Professor Rowan said.
"Gary?!" Sora exclaimed. Professor Rowan shows an image of J on her Salamence. Sora knew J was at the lake in his vision, and he knew what was coming. "It's J!"
"Team Galactic actually hired her?" Terra asked.
"It looks like it," Guilmon said.
"This is one of the things I was afraid of," Sora said. "And more..." Kairi knew it was a part of Sora's vision.
"What?" Barry asked.
"J is going to die," Sora said.
Professor Rowan asked quite dumbfounded by what Sora was saying. He wanted to know what he meant by J is going to die.
Back at Lake Valor, Gotsumon and Pumpkinmon rushed over to the lake and they looked right at Belphemon.
"That's Belphemon. He's way scarier than I thought," Gotsumon said.
"And on top of that is a Mega level Digimon, so we wouldn't stand a chance against him," Pumpkinmon said.
"We'll have to try," Gotsumon said.
"Right!" Pumpkinmon said.
Pumpkinmon and Gotsumon ran towards Belphemon and they decided to get their attention.
"Rock Fist!" Gotsumon shouted, unleashing a rock right at Belphemon. It struck him and he turned to see them. "Your turn, Pumpkinmon."
"Trick or Treat!" Pumpkinmon shouted. A large pumpkin appears and it lands on top of Belphemon. He growled as he heads towards them both.
"You little rejects think you can get to me?" Belphemon asked. He raised his claw. "I'll have to kill you both!" Pumpkinmon and Gotsumon held each other as they shivered when something else happens.
"Hydro Cannon!" Gary ordered. Blastoise fires at Belphemon. Pumpkinmon and Gotsumon looked right at Gary when the flames has subsided. "You two! Hurry!" Pumpkinmon and Gotsumon ran towards Gary. "You're pretty brave."
"We love the lake," Gotsumon said.
"So we had to help you," Pumpkinmon added. Belphemon roared as he heads for them.
"I'll kill you now!" Belphemon said, raising his claw, but Daemon stopped him.
"No, Belphemon. Save your energy," Daemon said. "AxeKnightmon wants us to be ready." Belphemon grudgingly accepted since he wanted to be ready for the next battle.
Over in Lake Verity, Yuzo is making contact with Professor Rowan in Sangem Town.
"This is Yuzo in Lake Verity. We are witnessing ne activity in Lake Verity. We'll keep you updated with new information," Yuzo said.
"Understood," Professor Rowan said.
"Professor, there's new transmission coming in from Lake Acurity," one his staff members said.
"Put it through," Professor Rowan said.
"It's happening here as well! Is it the kids again?" Carolina asked.
"Yes, it appears that the legendary Pokémon are sending some kind of transmission to them," Professor Roan said.
Back in Lake Valor, J and her Salamence were flying towards the glowing light floating above the lake. Gary had to move fast.
"Electivire! Use Thunder!" Gary ordered.
"Rock Fist!" Gotsumon shouted.
Electivire and Gotsumon were about to ttack when Toxicroak used Poison Jab on the both of them.
"Stay out of this!" Saturn said.
J and Salamence, headed for the light as the Galactic Grunts had unleashed their Golbat, Beautifly, and Dustox.
"Salamence! Hyper Beam!" J ordered. Salamence fires Hyper Beam at the light, making it glow even brighter. Azelf has appeared at last. Azelf saw it was surrounded, and J readies her weapon on her artificial arm. Azelf fires Extrasensory at the Golbat.
"Use Supersonic!" Saturn ordered. Azelf dodges and unleashed Extrasensory at them. J fires her weaon as Azelf fires Extrasensory at her, but Azelf has turned ot stone. Sora and Lucas felt Azelf's pain. J grinned evilly to see her capture is a success.
In Team Galactic headquarters, Cyrus was overseeing the event.
"It has been said for centuries that the legendary Pokémon created at the time of the beginnings of the universe. Those three working close harmony protecting Sinnoh, but legend also says that one of them were to fall, then all three will have to appear in order to restore balance," Cyrus said.
Sensing Azelf's pain, Uxie and Mesprit left their respected lakes to assist Azelf. Kairi, Dawn, Riku, and Barry had sensed them.
"Just now, I st felt Uxie," Riku said.
"Me too," Barry said.
"I just felt Mesprit," Kairi said.
"So did I," Dawn said.
"This is the Lake Verity observation squad. Mesprit briefly appeared and then disappared," a male grunt reported.
"This is the Lake Acurity observation squad, and it looks like Uxie teleported from here," another male grunt said. Charon chuckled.
Sora had exchanged Abomasnow and Dragapult for Heatran and Latios since he was in for a big challenge. Just when Sora was about to make contact with Professor Roawn again, he is called out from outside.
"Sora!" Paul shouted. Sora turned and he sensed the darkness in Paul once again. "Come on out and face me!" Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ventus,Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, Azurill, Meowth, and the Digimon all stepped outside and they looked right at Paul. Sora knew the darkness has grown even stronger than the last time.
"Paul," Sora could say.
"Here I am to finally destroy you! I am challenging you into a battle you cannot win!" Paul said.
"Paul, this is not the best time for this!" Sora said.
"It's the perfect time! I am not going to lose to you again," Paul said. Sora could feel the darkness, and he knew he had so little choice. And he had to get Paul to snap out of it.
"Paul, I'm going to tell you, none of us said those things about you," Sora said.
"Enough! You one-upped me for the last time!" Paul said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it. "Magmotar! Stand by for battle!" Magmotar has come out to battle as Sora has took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Heatran!" Sora called out. Heatran has come out to battle.
"Magmotar! Flamethrower!" Paul ordered.
"Magma Storm!" Sora ordered. Heatran unleashed Magma Storm and it struck Magmotar hard, taking it down with one hit. Paul calls back Magmotar and threw another Pokéball.
"Hariyama! Stand by for battle!" Paul called out and Hariyama has come out. "Arm Thrust!" Hariyama uses Arm Thrust onto Heatran.
"Fire Fang!" Sora ordered. Heatran uses Fire Fang and lands a bite. Heatran threw the arm thrust Pokémon to the ground. "Iron Head!" Heatran rammed into Hariyama, landing another hit. "Paul, listen to me, Myotismon is pulling the strings! He's doing it to you now!"
"If you think you can psyche me out by spewing some random lies, then you're even worse than I thought! Hariyama! Focus Blast!"
"Heatran! Use another Magma Storm!" Sora ordered. Heatran unleashed another Magma Storm and landed another hit, earning knockout. Paul calls back Hariyama.
"Power shouldn't be with someone as soft as you! Power should only be in the hands of someone like me! Powerful Pokémon makes all the difference!" Paul said.
"Paul, I am telling you, you're not working with your Pokémon! You need to see that!" Sora said. Paul took out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Nidoking! Stand by for battle!" Paul called out and Nidoking came on out. "Earth Power!" Nidoking slams his fist on the ground, making Heatran shake. "Use Double Kick!" Nidoking jumps and lands a couple of kicks. Sora calls back Heatran and took out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Latios!" Sora called out. Latios has come right out to battle. "Use Psychic!" Latios uses Psychic and lifted Nidoking up and dropped him on the ground. "You got to snap out of it! Myotismon is going to win if you make me do this."
"Shut up!" Paul spat. He took out another Pokéball and threw it. "Honchkrow! Stand by for battle!" Honchkrow came on out to battle. Sora knew Paul would send Honchkrow out because of it being a Dark Type, but Sora wasn't too worried about that. "Dark Pulse!" Honchkrow fires Dark Pulse right at Latios.
"Dragon Pulse!" Sora ordered. Latios fires Dragon Pulse and it cuts through Dark Pulse, landing a hit, earning a one hit knockout. Paul took out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Weavile! Stand by for battle!" Paul called out and Weavile has come out. Sora calls back Latios and took out Heatra's Pokéball and threw it.
"Heatran! Back to action!" Sora called out. Heatran came right out to battle. "Magma Storm!" Heatran fires Magma Storm and it does heavy damage onto Weavile. Paul calls back Weavile and took out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Electivire! Stand by for battle!" Paul called out as Electivire has come out. "Brick Break!" Electivire lands a Brick Break onto Heatran.
"Another Magma Storm!" Sora ordered. Heatran has unleashed another Magma Storm.
"Protect!" Paul ordered. Electivire has formed a protective barrier.
"Paul, why can't you understand? I am only trying to help you!" Sora tried to reason.
"I don't need or want your help! You had to be some big-shot because you won those! Everyone always says how good a trainer you are and you always come out on top!" Paul said.
"I am only telling you the truth and you're throwing it back at my face!" Sora said. He then remembered what Wisemon has said to him.
"Some truths cannot be told, but they can be shown," Wisemon said in Sora's memory.
"Don't tell the truth, show the truth," Sora said. His eyes began glowing in azure light. Paul looked right at him.
"What are you doing?" Paul asked.
"If words aren't going to get through to you, then I know what will!" Sora said. A flash of azure light shown and it shows Paul some images of the past. He sees Myotismon in his castle.
He and Impmon walks down to a chamber where a bunch of Bakemon are going some cleaning. The Bakemon took off as Myotismon stands before the pedestal.
"Forgive my ignorance, your evilness, but what is the purpose of this thing?" Impmon asked.
"This thing is a gateway between worlds; the Digital World and the real world. Legends speaks of it as a hollow gate in case your limited mind has missed it. When we pass through this gate, we can infiltrate the human realm! And once there, I can take over the human world and rule over all; humans Pokémon, and Digimon alike! No one shall have the power to stop me," Myotismon said. Wizardmon appears before Myotismon.
"Please excuse the interupption, lord Myotismon," Wizardmon said.
"This better be important, Wizardmon," Myotismon said.
"It is, master. I have recieved word from Devimon in the real world that Agumon and his band of the Resistance are in a place called Hearthrome City. They're with the humans as we speak. And there appears to be some sort of event occuring as well," Wizardmon reported.
"Is that so. Excellent work, Wizardmon. This is a golden opportunity to study our enemies; and my puppet," Myotismon said, as he uses his crystal to project the tournament to study Sora and Paul. He laughs very evilly as it begins.
"Puppet?" Paul asked. He sees more of the past.
"Yes, yes. What relentlessness. He is exceeding my wildest expectations," Myotismon stated. He laughs some more.
"Relentless?" Paul asked. He looked on and saw how he was. "No, this doesn't change a thing!"
Myotismon was awaiting for the tournament's finals to begin. Impmon and Wizardmon were standing right beside him.
"Master, do you plan on bringing him here?" Impmon asked.
"I do, Impmon. I will simply tell him of his potential and how the boy Sora is taunting him. He will undoubtedly believe that," Myotismon said.
"But how do you plan to do that, my lord?' Wizardmon asked.
"I have the perfect one to bring him here. Duskmon," Myotismon said. Duskmon appears from out of the shaodws and kneels to Myotismon.
"Yes, my master. What is thy bidding?" Duskmon asked.
"Duskmon, I have an important task for you. I wish for you to enter the real world and bring the boy Paul to me, as soon as the Hearthrome Tag Battle Tournament has reached its conclusion," Myotismon said.
"It shall be done, my lord," Duskmon said.
"How soon will you depart for the human world?" Myotismon asked. Duskmon moved his head up.
"Immediately," Duskmon replied. Duskmon has vanished into a Digital Gate and entered the real world. He hides into the darkness to keep anyone seeing him, unless he wanted them to. Duskmon spots his target.
Back to Myotismon's palace he chuckles evilly.
"You think he's going to win it?" Impmon asked.
"No. I suspect he will lose the tournament. After witnessing Sora and his friend, it is guarantee that Paul and the other boy will lose the final battle. Sora and Riku's powers as Pokémon trainers are unparalleled. So, Paul's hatred of Sora and Riku will be his undoing. And if done the right way, hatred can be manipulated," Myotismon said as he grinned. "And he will be the first human to be my slave." Myotismon gave off an evil laugh and his laughter echoes all through his castle.
"He knew I was going to lose?!" Paul exclaimed.
We go even further as he sees his first meeting with Myotismon shortly after he lost.
Myotismon descended right to Paul with a grin. Paul didn't know how to react to him. "Master," Duskmon said.
"Master?" Paul asked confused.
"Welcome, Paul. I am Myotismon. A pleasure," Myotismon said.
"What do you want?" Paul asked.
"I wish to make a proposition with you," Myotismon said.
"What kind of proposition?" Paul asked.
"What if I can make you much stronger than you can ever imagine?" Myotismon answered with a question.
"Make me stronger than I can ever imagine? Is this supposed to be a joke? I'm not laughing," Paul said.
"Hear me. I was watching you and I was mighty impressed by your display. But when you lost to those two boys, I was filled th distraught. I considered it as an insult," Myotismon said.
"So what? A win is a win and a loss is a loss," Paul retorted.
"Even if it was your pride as a Pokémon trainer on the line? You could have taken them out, but they were just too much for you. And that kind of power those two softies could ever known. That's what I considered to be insulting," Myotismon said. Paul wasn't phased by this, but Myotismon knew his words were getting through to him.
"Yeah, those two trainers aren't so great!" Paul said.
"And you still lost to them both even with that boy Lucas holding you back," Myotismon said.
"All he did was slow me down," Paul said.
"Indeed. And I can guarantee that they're already laughing about it," Myotismon said.
"Laughing? What do you mean?" Paul asked.
"I'll show you," Myotismon said. He waved his arms as it projected Sora and his friends. Paul was unaware that it was all a lie. But he knew Paul would believe it.
"Aren't you glad that's over and done with?" Ventus asked.
"Sure am. That Paul is such a loser. He can catch strong Pokémon and battle strong trainers all he wants, but he's nothing but a crybaby who just lets his Pokémon go like a spoiled brat who just threw out a toy he didn't want," Sora said. Paul gritted his teeth in anger.
"You said it. He's such a geek," Kairi said.
"I can only feel sorry for any Pokémon he's got under his belt," Aqua said.
"Who cares about him. Even his own brother thinks so," Riku said as they all laughed, pissing him off even more. Paul picked up a rock and threw it at the illusion with a roar. Myotismon grinned as he unleashed his anger.
"They are powerful trainers and they're mocking you," Myotismon said.
"They can't do that to me and get away with it! I'm going to take Sora and Riku down the next time I see them!" Paul said. Unaware, Myotismon plants a seed of darkness into him and all of the Pokémon Paul has either on him or at home. "You can take your offer and shove it up your ass, because I plan on getting stronger! And I'll do it my way!"
"Of course. But the offer is still standing," Myotismon said. He sends Paul back to the real world with a laugh. "Perfect. He is unaware that he is now my puppet. And this is just the beginning. Soon, both worlds will be mine!" He laughs some more as his castle echoes with his evil laughter.
Paul was stunned as he saw Myotismon plant something into his body while he wasn't looking.
"Myotismon wants to rule the world and he's using me to do it? And he did something to me, too?!" Paul exclaimed. We look over to Sora in Paul's house.
"Hi there, Chimchar. It's good to see you," Reggie said.
"You know my Chimchar?" Sora asked.
"This Chimchar used to be my brother's," Reggie said. The whole group went wide-eyed.
"Wait, your brother is Paul?" Sora asked.
"Yeah," Reggie said. He noticed the shock on their faces. "I can see that you're very shocked by this new bit of information." Reggie led the group to his house.
"How exactly are you brothers? You seem to be very nice," Ventus pointed out.
"Well, the whole difference between us is that I actually care about my Pokémon. People has taken exception to Paul's way of raising Pokémon and they come down on me about it," Reggie explained.
"You'll find that we take exception on that as well, Reggie," Kairi said.
"I noticed. But I gotta admit, that he was surprised to hear that he went up against a Pokémon League Champion right up to when you challenged the Oreburgh Gym Leader into a battle. And how Paul battled you and lost," Reggie said.
"Yeah. He was battling for power and he lost to me that way," Sora said.
"Paul even told me about how you took Chimchar under your wing after he abandoned him. I never did that with any of my Pokémon," Reggie said.
"I can understand that. Paul should know better by now," Aqua said.
"Aqua," Terra said.
"No, Terra. I will honestly say that Paul has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. He doesn't deserve any one of those Pokémon," Aqua said. "Riku was right to call him ignorant right in his face."
"Aqua, you're going to get us thrown out," Sora said.
"No, no, she's just being honest. And I don't blame her for being honest," Reggie said. "But I am concerned about him."
"What he do now? Catch a Ditto and let that one go because he realized that it an only use Transform?" Meowth asked.
"Meowth!" Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, and the Digimon all chided him.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"Eevee!" Angel added.
"Actually, no. I just noticed that there was a change in him," Reggie said. The group were all looking at him.
"What do you mean?" Armadillomon asked.
"Well lately, he was more agressive than usual. He's even angrier than before. I'm not even sure why he is. And when I asked him about it, he said it was nothing. I don't think it was nothing," Reggie said.
"He did look like he was angered when me and him were up against you and Riku in the final round," Lucas pointed out.
"You sure Paul's not just lashing out? It's normal for something to happen," Sora said.
"If it was just the lashing out part, I wouldn't be so worried so much. I noticed how much his Pokémon had changed along with him," Reggie said.
"What do you mean his Pokémon too?" Gatomon asked.
"Well, I think I should show you what I mean," Reggie said, taking out a Pokéball and he opens it. Paul's Electabuzz came on out and his eyes were blazing red. Everyone were freaked out by what he meant. Reggie calls Electabuzz right back. "See what I mean?"
"We do," Terra said.
"How did it happen?" Ventus asked.
"I wish I knew. If only I had the slightest idea on what happened to them," Reggie said.
"Didn't you go to Nurse Joy about this?" Dawn asked.
"I did and she couldn't figure out what's going on either. So, I kept them contained in their Pokéballs just to play it safe than sorry," Reggie said.
"That's a good call, Reggie. I can get that Paul isn't the nicest guy in the world, but come on," Sora said.
"Tell me about it," Reggie said.
"And since Paul is your brother, didn't he battle Maylene?" Lucas asked.
"Yeah, and when I saw his fist, bleeding, he rubbed it off like it matter to him. I can't put my finger on what's going through his head," Reggie said.
"Now, that's unsual," Biyomon said.
"Reggie was worried about me?" Paul asked.
We look even further as Reggie and Sora has a talk again.
"Reggie, hey," Sora said, nervously. Reggie stopped in his tracks as he looked directly at Sora.
"You know what's up with Paul, don't you?" Reggie asked. Sora was surprised by Reggie's claim.
"How did-" Sora asked.
"I could tell you were sketchy on the details, so it wasn't hard for me to figure out. So, I need to know, now," Reggie said. Sora turned to Kairi and she nodded. Sora didn't want to lie to Paul's brother and he looked at the ground.
"Yes, I do know. Just try not to get mad at me. Paul is under the control of an evil Digimon named Myotismon. He shown Paul an illusion of us talking trash about him. I tried to convince him that it was a lie, but he didn't believe me. Paul was in the Digital World for a little while and Myotismon did something to him. I'm sorry I didn't tell you," Sora apologized.
"Did you use your aura ability to look into his?" Reggie asked. Sora was shocked to hear Reggie ask him that. "Riku told me about your ability. After seeing the Digimon, I'd believe just about anything. Riku told me that you thought I wouldn't believe you." Sora didn't respond to him. "I promise I'm not mad at you, Sora. I'm sure you had a good reason."
"That's what I told him," Riku said. They saw Riku, Naminé, Eevee, Azurill, Guilmon, Terriermon, Renamon, Lopmon, Gaomon, and Lalamon approach them.
"Riku," Sora said.
"So, Reggie and I had ourselves a talk before leaving Snowpoint City. We decided that the two of you would have a battle. We hope maybe, it might knock some sense into him," Riku said.
"A full six-on-six Pokémon battle," Reggie said. Sora knew there was no avoiding this. If he was going to make Paul see the truth and hopefully, break Myotismon's hold.
"Does Paul know about this?" Sora asked.
"He does. He's waiting for you at Lake Acurity. And Sora," Reggie paused. Sora looked right at Paul's brother. "Do what you can." Sora nodded.
We skip the battle and sees his defeat.
Paul snarled as he calls back his fallen Torterra.
"How could it be?! He even took down my strongest Pokémon?!" Paul exclaimed with anger. The darkness in his heart was growing by the minute.
"Paul, you lost because you let your anger get the best of you! You didn't keep your cool! Myotismon has taken advantage of it and he's using that to take control over you!" Sora said.
"Shut up! I will never accept that you're a powerful trainer, Sora!I will battle you again and I will win! You can count on that!" Paul stated.
"Paul, enough is enough!" Reggie said to his younger brother. "Sora is right, You didn't keep your cool. I always kept my cool in battle, and I never let my emotions get ahold of me like that!"
"SHUT UP!" Paul roared. Reggie was shocked to hear his little brother take it out on him. "Just shut the hell up!" Paul started to take off. "Just whose side are you on? Mine or theirs? How could you be on their side after what they said about you, too!"
"Paul, they didn't say a thing about me! Sora isn't the kind of person who would do that!" Reggie said.
"So, even my own brother betrayed me! I see how it is! I'm gone!" Paul said, walking off.
"Paul! Listen! Sora was trying to see that it wasn't true!" Reggie said. Paul just ignored his brother and kept going.
"I should have realized Reggie would side with them! He chose them over his own family! I guess I shouldn't trust anyone or anything!" Paul said in his thoughts.
Mercurymon was watching from a distance and he chuckled as he knew the darkness Myotismon implanted him with was growing stronger.
After the battle, Sora went up to Reggie.
"Sorry that I couldn't try to reach out to him," Sora apologized.
"Don't apologize, Sora. You tried and that's all that mattered. It's that Digimon, Myotismon. There is no way in hell I will ever forgive him for what he did to my brother, whatever it was," Reggie said.
"None of us will," Kairi said.
"What was I saying?! Myotismon was watching it all, wasn't he?! He was using me!" Paul exclaimed. He looked over to Sora and Reggie.
"We'll try to talk with Paul the next time we see him," Sora said.
"That's all I ask," Reggie said.
"Sora made a promise to Reggie," Paul said. The light fades away and he looked right at Sora.
"Do you get it now?" Sora asked. Paul calls back Electivire and started to run off. "Paul?" He just ignored him and kept going. "Paul."
Paul kept on running forward as tears formed in his eyes and he had towards a tree and started to cry his eyes out. Myoismon felt that the darkness has faded.
"He has been set free! Sora, you have stood in my way for the last time!" Myotismon said. "And today is the day you and your friends will die!"
Driving up to the Pokémon Center is Cynthia in her jeep.
"Cynthia," Sora said.
"Hop in," Cynthia said.
The Digimon all sarted to Digivolve into their Mega forms.

Sora, Riku, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, and Meowth got in the jeep as Naminé, Azurill, Ventus, Terra, and Aqua rode on HerculesKabuterimon and Lucas, Dawn, and Barry rode on Phoenixmon.
Back in Lake Valor, Saturn has retrieved Azelf.
"No! Azelf!" Gary cried as Belphemon held his claw. As flash of light shines as Mesprit and Uxie has appeared. They saw Azelf in Saturn's hold. They were about to attack when a Flamethrower and Shadow Ball are heading right twaords them. Mars and Jupiter has shown up to assist along with Ourugly and Skuntank.
"It's just as Master Cyrus said it would be. If one falls, then the rest shall come tumbling down too!" Mars said.
"And that's their final mistake," Jupiter said.
"What does that mean?!" Gary exclaimed.
"Supersonic!" Maars and Jupiter ordered. The Golbat fired Supersonic. Azelf and Mesprit avoids the Supersonic, but J and Salamence appeared in front of them. Mesprit and Uxie sends lightning up in the sky.
"It looks liek they both used Future Sight," Saturn said.
J disregarded it as J has fired at Mesprit. Uxie unleashes Extrasensory on J. She fires at Uxie, turning it to stone. She smiled, feeling satisfied having to accomplish her goals. AxeKnightmon knew better than to underestimate them.
"AxeKnightmon, what is it?" Lucemon asked.
"It would seem that J is now overlooked something," AxeKnightmon said.
Over to the group, Kairi, Dawn, Riku, and Barry has sensed the pains of Uxie and Mesprit.
"They got them both," Kairi said.
"And now, it's about to get worse," Sora said.
"If you want to help the two of them out, we must take care of Team Galactic first," Cynthia said. "You're all familiar with Looker, aren't you?"
"We met up with him just recently," Riku said.
"He was tailing Team Galactic and he and those toher three ended up getting caught by them, but they got away, only to taunt us," Meowth said.
"He's on Mount Coronet, looking into it. We need to meet him now," Cynthia said. The jeep drives with Vorvomon and the Dracomon Brothers following them.
"Mount Coronet, huh? Then, that's we're going as well," Vorvomon said. He and the Dracomon Borthers folowed them.
Team Galactic loads the Lake Guardians in the back of their helicopter, getting ready to depart.
"What have you done?" Gary asked.
The Team Galactic admins turned to the Pokémon Hunter for her success.
"Excellent work, Pokémon Hunter J. I hope you're not hurt," Mars said.
"See? We couldn't just let ourselves be pushed around by the Lake Guardians. We are the chosen ones after all," Jupiter said.
"Hunter J, well done. You have your payment as agreed," Saturn said. J gets on Salamence and returns to the ship.
"Saturn sir!" One of the grunts said. Saturn turned to the grunt.
J has entered the ship's commmand center.
"Ready for departure?" J asked.
"We're ready, sir," one of ther henchmen said. J sits down.
"Return to base," J ordered. Just then, two streams of lightning strikes the ship, destroying the engines.
Everyone outside saw the attack take affect and it starts to go down.
"That has to be Mesprit and Uxie's Future Sight!" Saturn said. He turned to the Lake Guardians. "The power of these legendary Pokémon is frightening.
The ship starts into head right for the lake.
"Increase engines to max power! Maintain our speed!" J ordered.
"We're losing power fast!" One of her henchmen said.
"We lost our control!" Another henchmen said. J growled as she looked at AxeKnightmon.
"What are you just standing there for? Do something!" J demanded.
"I do not take orders from the likes of you. And you are no longer any of use to me. Your arrogance was your downfall and now you shall die with it," AxeKnightmon said as he and Lucemon has vanished. AxeKnightmon lets out laughter.
"AxeKnightmon! Come back here! AxeKnightmon!" J yelled.
The ship heads right for the whirpool they created. The glass shatters as she and her henchmen has been washed by the water. Her shades comes right off as the ship is sinking fast into the lake. J and her henchmen has all perished in the explosion.
Team Galactic's helicopter has flown off with Gary, his Pokémon, Pumpkinmon, and Gotsumon watching them escaping.
"Dammit!" Gary yelled.
On Mount Coronet, Looker arrived alone, looking for Team Galactic's base. AxeKnightmon and Lucemon has arried with Belphemon and Daemon.
"It was almost a shame to abandon her. SHe would have been useful to us even more," Daemon said.
"It was a pain to keep her around for a second longer. She deserved such a fate," AxeKnightmon said.
"It would appear that you have lost your own puppet, AxeKnightmon," a voie spoke and it was Myotismon appearing before them.
"Myotismon. Good of you to come," AxeKnightmon said.
"It would seem so, but this world is not yours to rule," Myotismon said.
"Oh, but it is. This world shall be mine to rule over and bring order to both the real world and the Digital World.
Over to the group, Professor Rowan informed them about Team Galactic taking the Lake Guradians, and about J's ship going down.
"I'm glad to hear Gary is okay," Sora said.
"As am I. I also asked Officer Jenny to check on the status of the entire area," Professor Rowan said.
"Where has Team Galactic gone?" Kairi asked.
"No, but I shall pass on any information is it becomes available," Professor Rowan said. "Cynthia, and all of you be careful."
"We will," Cynthia said.
"So, now all we have to do is wait," Riku said.
"Do you remember the mural Celestic Ruins?" Cynthia asked.
"You mean the one with the Lake Guardians?" Kairi asked.
"Yes. As of this moment, Team Galactic has gtooen all three Lake Guardians, and they have both of the Adamant Orb and the Lustrous Orb. It look like they have come fully prepared to call forth Palkia and Dialga into the world. Of course, Dialga is the ruler of time, and Palkia is the ruler of space. But for two legendary Pokémon like them; to fall under human control is beyond comprehension. Why, Team Galactic might even be able to unleash ancientpowers that we're not even aware of up to this point," Cynthia said.
In Team Galactic headquarters, Charon gets the red jewels ready to place on the Lake Guardians. Charon laughed.
"Now, begin," Cyrus ordered.
"It's time then. Time to allow us to see the power of the Red Chain," Charon said. He places the red jeewels on each of the foreheads of the Lake Guardians. They revert back to normal and they scream in pain. Sora, Lucas, Kairi, Dawn, Riku, and Barry felt their pain, and it was even more painful than before.
"You're feeling it again, aren't you?" Cynthia asked.
"It hurts!" Sora exclaimed.
"It's even stronger than the last time!" Riku said.
Sora, Kairi, Riku, Lucas, Dawn, Barry, Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, and Meowth all vanished.
"Lucas, Barry, Dawn!" Ventus exclaimed.
"Sora, Kairi, Riku!" Agunimon exclaimed. Cynthia stops the jeep as the Digimon all had stopped.
"What happened?" WarGreymon asked.
"Where did they go?" MetalGarurumon asked.
"They have been summoned," Cynthia said.
Back in Team Galactic headquarters, the Lake Guardians' eyes all glows red, much to their delight.
"There, you see? Yes, the Veilstone Metoer was most defiently created fromc core sense of the universe. And that is a power that we have now tapped into," Charon said.
Sora, Kairi, Riku, Lucas, Dawn, and Barry all arrived in Team Galactic headquarters.
"What?! Saturn asked. Charon laughed.
"It looks like we have some company," Charon said, laughing.
"Where are we?" Barry asked. They all saw the Lake Gurdians.
"Azelf!" Sora nd Lucas gasped.
"Mesprit!" Kairi and Dawn also gasped.
"Uxie!" Riku and Barry gasped as well.
"They brought us here!" Riku said.
"What have you done?!" Sora asked. Saturn, Mars, and Jupiter has unleashed Skuntaknk, and Purugly to battle.
"You ready to go, guys?" Sora asked.
"You're not ready for us," Mars and Jupiter said.
"Toxicrak, time for fun," Saturn said.
"Hold on," Cyrus spoke. The group saw Cyrus standing above his admins. "No fighting allowed."
"Cyrus?!" Sora exclaimed.
"I knew it! I knew there was something I didn't like about you!" Riku said.
"Fighting is by far the most byproduct of the human heart. Haven't I told you that time and time and again?" Cyrus asked.
"Sir," Saturn said.
"These children pose a real threat to our new world order," Jupiter.
"It's only natural that we eliminate them to preserve our plan,
" Mars added.
"No," Cyrus said. Mars and Jupiter accepted their leader's order. "Behold, this is just the kind of accomplishment that the human heart has the potential to achieve! But when your heart is rule by emotions, you will but fight. In which case, humanity will never advance. I guess I culd let you know what this is about." Sora, Kairi, Riku, Lucas, Dawn, Barry, Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, and Meowth looked right at them. "I am the master of Team Galactic, my creation! And you are in my creation's headquarters!"
"Headquarters?" Sora sked.
"Correct. We are bringing about the dawn of a new world order. We have all gathered here today to discard the old world od discord and conflict, to create a much better one in place of it," Cyrus said.
"You were behind it all right from the start. You were responisble for the Adamant Orb being stolen and you were planning the Lustrous Orb's theft in the same way," Sora said.
"Indeed," Cyrus said.
"You lied to us all! And even Cynthia," Kairi said.
"There's no way in hell we're ever going to let you get away with this!" RIku said.
"Lose your rage. It only destroys," Cyrus said.
"Not if you use Pokémon like this!" Dawn said.
"This has got to stop!" Barry said.
"Let them go back home!" Lucas said.
"That can't be done. They are the necessary keys to bring the new world," Cyrus said.
"This is exactly what Cynthia said it was," Riku said.
"Vee," Eevee said.
"You fashion jerks are going to be in for a world of hurt!" Meowth said.
"Obviously, these six are of importance if the Lake Guardians has saw for them to call them forward. We'll have to keep them around until the task is completed, just to be sure," Cyrus said.
"Sir," Saturn said.
The Team Galactic grunts surrounded them all as Mars, Jupiter, Purugly, and Skuntank were ready to strike along with them.
"You won't get away with it. We won't let you," Sora said. "Pikachu! Thunderbolt!"
"Angel! Swift!" Kairi ordered.
Pikachu and Angel uinleash their attacks and shatters a tank, holding Azelf. Dawn, Barry, and Lucas has let out their partners to battle.
The powerful assault begins to take shape as Sora and his friends has started their fight against the evil Team Galactic, but now, there's only the matter of Myotismon, and AxeKnightmon to deal with as well. The fate of the world hangs in the balance as the forces of good and evil clashes once again. This is the one fight, that the forces of good cannot afford to lose.
