Episode 405: Gathering of Old Friends
A few days has passed since Team Galactic has failed to create their new world and Myotismon and AxeKnightmon, along with the last remaining three Demon Lords. It didn't take long until news has spread as the Team Galactic Admins were now waiting for court for their crimes against humanity and Pokémon.
Since then, things has gotten back to normal. Riku, Naminé, Eevee, Azurill, Guilmon, Terriermon, Renamon, Lopmon, Gaomon, and Lalamon went their own way, as did Barry, leaving Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Lucas, Dawn, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and the rest of the Digimon. Agunimon and the rest of the Warrior Digimon all returned to the Digital World since there was no longer any point in staying there, but they promised to be on time for the Grand Festival. VictoryGreymon, ZeedGarurumon, BlitzGreymon, CressGarurumon, and ShineGreymon all returned to the Digital World since AxeKnightmon had been destroyed.
As they kept on going for Sunyshore City, Sora, Kairi, Lucas, and Dawn decided to do some training for a while.
"Okay, Pikachu! Quick Attack!" Sora ordered. Pikachu ran across to deliever a Quick Attack.
"Luxray! Thunder Fang!" Lucas ordered. Luxray came at Pikachu with a Thunder Fang.
"Piplup! Bubble Beam!" Dawn ordered. Piplup fires Bubble Beam right at Angel.
"Dodge and use Headbutt!" Kairi ordered. Angel dodges and lands a Headbutt onto Piplup.
"Not bad, Kairi!" Dawn said.
"Thanks!" Kairi said. Just as they kept on training, several Pokémon had appeared before them. One of them got between Pikachu and Luxray. It is a small shaggy bird-like Pokémon that resembles an eagle chick. It has quite a big head compared to the size of his body. The head has shaggy cream-colored outer feathers. The inner part of his head is blue, with a red spike at the top. It has ovular black eyes, with white pupils. Its neck feathers are cream-colored and downy, encircling its neck like a scarf, and its wings and small body are grayish blue, as well as the mask around his eyes. It has fairly large feet and talons with black claws. Its feathery tail is short and cream-colored. Another got between Angel and Piplup. It is a chubby mole-like Pokémon. It has a plump black body with blue streaks along with a white snout and white claws. It has blue round spot on its palms. It has wide eyes that are almost completely white but contain a single black dot-like pupil. It has oval shaped feet that have three toes. It has three sharp white claws on each arm. Its claws are almost connected, but the three lines show three claws.
"Where did you come from?" Sora and Kairi asked.
"Rufflet, where did you go? If you're trying to scare me, then you're in big trouble," a familiar voice called out.
"Drilbur? Where did you go?" Another familiar voice asked. Sora and Kairi knew those voices.
"Yolei? Cody?" Sora asked.
Just then, Yolei and Cody show up. They spotted the two wondering Pokémon.
"Rufflet, there you are! You had me worried, young man," Yolei said.
"Sorry if my Drilbur and her Rufflet caused any-" Cody paused when he saw Sora and Kairi. "Sora! Kairi!"
"As I live and breathe!" Yolei exclaimed.
"Hey, Yolei, Cody. Long time no see," Sora said.
"We missed you," Cody said.
"And by watching you on TV, going against the Hoenn Frontier Brains," Yolei said. She spotted Ventus, Terra, and Aqua with them. "Ven, Terra, Aqua!"
"Hey Yolei!" Ventus greeted.
"Are Tai, Davis, and the others still with you?" Kairi asked.
"They are," Cody said.
And with such perfect timing, Tai, Kari, Matt, TK, Sara, Izzy, Mimi, Joe, Davis, Ken, and Amy all show up.
"Guys, did you find them yet?" Davis asked. "Hey! Sora, Kairi!"
"Look at that!" TK said.
The two groups went to greet each other.
"It's been a long time, Ketchum," Tai said.
"Back at you, Tai," Sora said.
"Hey Ven, how are you doing?" Matt asked.
"I'm doing great," Ventus said.
"Staying out of trouble, Meowth?" Sara asked.
"Trouble just finds us," Meowth said. TK spots Dawn.
"Hey, I know you. You were that Coordinator who won the Wallace Cup in Lake Valor. Dawn," TK said.
"Yes, that's me," Dawn said.
"Dawn, Lucas, how about we introduce you to everyone. The guy with the big hair is Tai, and this is his little sister Kari. The blonde guy with the hat is Kari's boyfriend TK, and the other blonde guy is his older brother Matt. The guy with the laptop is Izzy, and the girl with the short orange hair is Tai's girlfriend Sara. The girl with the pink hat is Matt's girlfriend Mimi. The guy with the glasses is Joe. The guy with the goggles is Davis, and the girl with him is Amy. The girl with the glasses is Yolei, the smallest kid is Cody, and the guy here is Ken. Guys, this is Dawn, and this is Lucas, both from Twinleaf Town," Sora introduced.
"It's nice to meet you," Lucas said.
"Back at you, Lucas," Tai said. Tai notices the Digimon with them. Patamon simply waves. "Wait, you're Digimon!" The rest notices them as well.
"The ones everyone's been talking about?" Amy asked.
"They've been with us for a while. These are Agumon, Gabumon, Biyomon, Tentomon, Palmom, Gomamon, Patamon, Gatomon, Veemon, Wormmon, Hawkmon, and Armadillomon," Kairi introduced.
"We heard about you. It's nice to meet more of the friends of Sora, Kairi, Ven, Terra, and Aqua," Agumon said.
"A lot of things had happened since we last saw each other," Sora said.
"You too," Tai said.
Sora had to admit, they were hitting it better than he thought. For some reason or another, the Digimon were better fit with certain one of them. Tai and Agumon were a good match, and the same can be said about Matt and Gabumon. Izzy has taken a huge interest into Tentomon as Sara has hit it off with Biyomon. Gomamon seems to like Joe as he liked him back. Sora's reason for Mimi would be because of the flower on her head. TK and Patamon hang well together, as and so did Kari and Gatomon. Veemon gets well along with Davis, and Amy thought that Veemon's the cutest one. Hawkmon and Yolei seems to get along, and he's pictured Hawkmon as the voice of reason. Armadillomon gets a long with Cody as did the others, and he felt a huge connection between Ken and Wormmon.
"So Sora, how many Gym Badges did you win?" Sara asked.
"Seven so far," Sora said, showing them his Gym Badges.
"That means you only need one more to qualify for the Sinnoh Pokémon League," Joe said.
"That's right," Terra said.
"What about you, Kairi? How about Contest Ribbons?" Amy asked.
"I earned my five Ribbons," Kairi said. She shows them her Ribbons.
"That means you qualify for the Grand Festival," Matt said.
"Our mom would be impressed," TK said.
"Yeah she would," Kari agreed with her boyfriend.
"I am curious about how you met them," Izzy said.
"About that," Sora said. Sora started that they met Agumon shortly after the Jublife City Contest. That was with their first encounter with Team Galactic. Gabumon and Biyomon was during their visit in Oreburgh City. And lastly, they met the rest when they had a run-in with Pokémon Hunter J. "And we've been through a lot sense."
"Pokémon Hunter J? I heard she died when her ship sank in Lake Valor," Ken said.
"You heard right," Ventus said.
"I even heard Team Galactic has been disbanded after they got arrested," Izzy said.
"And that's about right," Terra said. "But there's something else too."
"What?" Sara asked.
"Terra and I are officially a couple," Aqua said. Mimi smiled as she squeaked.
"Ooh, I knew you two would make a great couple," Mimi said.
"Then what was that about you saying that Terra is a strong and handsome guy?" Sara asked.
"I was only trying to make Matt jealous," Mimi said.
"And it worked," Matt confirmed.
"And I heard you once say that Aqua being quite the hottie for a blueelhead," TK teased, making his older brother fume.
"Shut up, TK. It was to make Mimi jealous," Matt said.
"And that worked," Mimi said.
Gabumon leaned over to Patamon.
"I always thought Aqua was very pretty," Gabumon whispered.
"I thought the same about Kairi,"Patamon said.
Sora looked right at Rufflet and Drilbur.
"I'm curious about these two," Sora said, taking out his Pokédex and scanned the Pokémon.
Drilbur, the Mole Pokémon
Type: Ground
It brings its claws together and whirls around at high speed before rushing toward its prey. It's a digger, using its claws to burrow through the ground. It causes damage to vegetable crops, so many farmers have little love for it.
Rufflet, the Eaglet Pokémon
Type: Normal/Flying
A combative Pokémon, it's ready to pick a fight with anyone. It has talons that can crush hard berries. If it spies a strong Pokémon, Rufflet can't resist challenging it to a battle. But if Rufflet loses, it starts bawling.
"When did you get these?" Sora asked.
"We had them for a little while. We actually caught them when Sara's dad has taken us with him to study the legendary Pokémon in the Unova and Kalos regions," Yolei said.
"Drilbur's mine, and Rufflet belongs to Yolei," Cody said.
"I gotten hold of some," TK said, letting out some Pokéballs. He tossed them up. "Okay, guys, come out." The Pokéballs reveals a larval Pokémon that resembles a moth caterpillar. It has a fluffy mane of white fluff surrounding its head. Protruding from is white fur are five blazing flare-like appendages. Underneath the white fur, its face is black, as well as its six stubby legs, and it has light blue ovular eyes with tiny black pupils. Its backside is segmented and brownish-tan in color. Another being a Yamask, a rodent-like Pokémon that resembles a chipmunk. It has mostly brown fur, with a tan-colored stomach and face. Its tail is long and straight with a scruffy white tip. It has a large pointed incisor tooth that sticks out of its mouth from its upper jaw. It has a black band circling its head and eyes, which appear to have red and yellow bands around its small black eyes (the rings are seen as being separate from the actual eyes when it is put to sleep). Its feet are small and black, with three toes on each foot. He also has a large blue jellyfish-like Pokémon with thick light blue mustache-like membrane curing around his face. It also has round blue eyes with red pupils three lower tentacles are lined with diamond-shaped light blue markings. And he has a Klang. "Meet Larvesta, Patrat, Jellicent, Yamask, and Klang.
"And here are mine," Kari said, taking out some Pokéballs and tossed them. She has a humanoid Pokémon that has the appearance of a young girl. It has two bun-like pigtails with teardrop-shaped appendages on each side of its head. Its face is purple, and it has bright blue eyes and large pink lips. Its body is mainly black, with slender arms and legs. It appears to be wearing a black dress, and it has many white bow-shaped feelers attached to its body: four along the top of its head, and two on its torso. Another is a pink Jellicent, but it has frilly light pink membrane curling around its body, red eyes with blue pupils and two long black eyelashes, and a red lip-like mouth; its lower tentacles are bordered by light pink frills. She also has a Swana. Another is small quadrupedal rodent-based Pokémon that resembles achinchilla. Its body is mostly covered in silky light grayish fur, and its ears and tail are tipped with patches of cream white fur. Its tail is long, silky, and fluffy. It has large rounded ears with pinkish insides and small tufts of fur on the outside of each ear. It has an upright tuft of fur sprouting from atop its head, large round brownish eyes, a tiny black nose, and a small mouth. A tuft of fur protrudes from beneath its chin. It has short, stubby limbs and small pink paw pads on the undersides of its fore-paws and feet. Another is a small rodent-based Pokémon that resembles a chinchilla. Its fur is mainly gray, and it has very fluffy and pure silky white tufts of fur encircling its ears and head, wrapped around its neck like a collar, and covering its very long voluminous tails. Its long, silky white tails wrap around its body like a scarf. It has short, small paws and feet, and paw pads on the undersides on its fore-paws and feet.It has large, round ears with pink insides and fluffy tufts on the outsides. "Here are my own Jellicent, along with Gothirita, Swana, Minncino, and Cinncino."
"I have some new ones too!" Mimi said, taking out her Pokéballs. She tossed them up and revealed, a small round Pokémon that resembles a ball of cotton. It has a fluffy body that is white and very pale green in color. It has a mass of light green fluff covering most of its body. Its face is white with two ovular red eyes; its mouth is not visible, but is likely hidden beneath the cottony layer below its eyes. It has two small green leaf-like arms on either side of its round body which resemble wings. Another is a small bipedal Pokémon that resembles a ball of cotton. Its body is brown, and its back, neck, and forehead are covered with a puffy white cotton-like substance. On its back is a green, star-shaped pattern that resembles the area where a plant connects to its fruit. It has large ovular orange eyes, a grinning face, and green curled horn-like appendages that seem to be its ears. Another is a tiny plant Pokémon that appears to resemble a bulb. It has a mainly light green leafy body and a small white face surrounded by a hood-like formation of green petals or leaves. Three long bright green leaves sprout from the top of its head. It has small ovular brownish red eyes and no visible mouth. The underside of its body, just below its head, is short and green, with little stubby edges. It has a small collar of darker green leaves.Another is a large plant-like Pokémon that has a slightly humanoid feminine appearance. Its "skirt" resembles a plant bulb. Its face and torso are white, while the rest of its body is mainly green and leafy. It appears to be wearing a cloak of dark green leaves. It has a bright orange lily-like flower on the top of its head with a crown atop of the blossom. It has a leafy yellow collar, and rounded light green leaves for arms. It has one long, large leaf on the back of its head that resembles flowing hair and it has orange eyes. Below its bulb-like mid-section, it has a cluster of four curled yellow foot-like limbs that allow it to stand upright. Another is a poodle-like Pokémon covered in long, fluffy white fur. It has black fur on its face and paws, a pointy snout, red eyes, and a round bluish nose. "Meet Furfrou, Cottonee, Whimsicott, Petilil, and Lilligant."
"And here are mine," Izzy said, taking out his three Pokéballs and tossed them. One of them is a small hermit crab-like Pokémon. Its body is orange, and it carries a gray rocky shell on its back. It has a round head, long eye stalks with round black eyes, and a small mouth. It has a set of four claw-like legs, with large sharp claws on its front legs. Another is a red and brown colored crab-like Pokémon with a large block of stone that resembles a sedimentary rock on its back that it uses as a shell. The rocky shell is striped with various shades of brown and orange. Its body is red-orange, and it has six small legs, as well as two large front claws. Another is a tiny arachnid-like Pokémon covered in fuzzy yellow fur. Unlike normal arachnids, Joltik has only four stubby legs with blue tips. It has two large blue ovular eyes, and two smaller simple eyes of the same color above them. It has a small fuzz-covered mouth. It has a round pinkish patch on its underbelly which acts as a pouch that stores electric power. Another is a is a large quadrupedal arachnid-like Pokémon that resembles a tarantula. Unlike normal arachnids, this one only has four legs rather than eight. Its rounded furry body is mainly a vivid yellow color, with a grayish purple underbelly and stripes running along the back of its abdomen. It has deep blue tufts of fur sprouting from its sides. Its four hairy legs are blue and covered with yellow fur. Its has two large round blue eyes with black pupils, and four simple eyes on its forehead. "These are Joltik, Galvantula, Dwebble, and Crustle."
"I have a couple of new Pokémon," Ken said, taking out two Pokéballs. He has tossed them and let out an ancient-looking reptilian Pokémon that resembles a large, bipedal sea turtle. Its body is dark blue and light blue, and it has a giant black rocky shell on its back. It also has a scaly black covering over its face and a very small tail. It has three oval-shaped, claw shaped markings on each of its front flippers and it has two toed feet bearing nails colored the same as its front appendages. Another is a large, ancient avian flying Pokémon. It possesses traits of both birds and reptiles. Its head is snake-like in appearance; it is featherless, scaly, and red with a green stripe running along the top. Its mouth is lined with sharp fangs. Its eyes are round white with black pupils. Its body is covered with frayed yellowish feathers with blue feathers on its winglike arms and legs. All of its winglike limbs bear razor-sharp claws. It has a ring of small, green feathers on its ankles. Its tail is red and featherless except for the fan of blue feathers at the tip. "These are Carracosta and Archeops."
"And here new Pokémon I have," Amy said, taking out her Pokéballs and tossed them. One is a short, stubby, vulture based Pokémon. It has a skull covering her lower body like a diaper and it has short stubby wings to fly with. It has a small pink head along with a ponytail at the top tied off with a bone. Another is a small Pokémon with a white body and a green tail, formed like a spade, and green eyebrows. It's also holding a blue flower as if it were an unbrella. Its ears are white with yellow behind them.It is holding a blue flower. Another is huge dinosaur-like Pokémon bearing resemblance to the Amargosaurus, Apatosaurus or a Brachiosaurus with light blue colored skin, a teal stomach, and blue eyes. It has many icy gems on the sides of its body and a long, curled tail. When it emits a cry, the thin blue-tipped membrane on its head ripples with a light green color, while it attacks, the membrane turns orange. With the icy crystals that line its sides. Another is a Ghost-type Pokémon that resembles a gourd and a jack-o-lantern fused. The top half of its body is tan colored, and long and slender. It has a small face with ovular yellow eyes and a grinning mouth. Atop its head it appears to have long tufty orange hair-like appendages that also function as its hands with three claw-like digits. A lock of hair curls over one side of its face and down its back, and it has a curled stem-like tuft sticking upright at the top of its head. The bottom half of its body is round and deep brown in color; its abdomen resembles a pumpkin carved into a smiling jack-o-lantern, with a sinister yellow light glowing from within. It has two short stubby feet. Another is a a small, metallic Pokémon that resembles a key-ring with multiple keys dangling from its loop-like body. Its face is on the small round center part of its body that resembles a large key with a pink teardrop-shaped formation on its underside. It has a light gray face with a crescent-like marking, a pink spot on its forehead, tiny black eyes and a mouth that resembles a keyhole. "Here are Vullabye, Floette, Aurous, Gourgeist, and Klefki."
"Well, I have some new ones too," Davis said, letting out his Pokémon. One is a small feline Pokémon. It has mainly deep purple fur, with cream-colored patches on its muzzle, forehead, chest, forelegs, back, and back feet. It has green eyes with slit pupils and large angular pink eyelids. It has a blunt catlike muzzle with a small black triangular nose. It has pointed catlike ears and whisker-like tufts of fur on each cheek. It has a sleek, slender body with small dainty paws and feet. Its tail is long and skinny with a crescent-like tuft at the tip. Another is a Palpatoad, another is a Whirlipede, another is a Krockorok, a Doublade, and another is a massive, monstrous Pokémon that appears have mutated from the toxins within a garbage bag. It has what seems to be a broken trash bag on its head, and covering the top part of its body. It has two ear-like clusters of garbage protruding from the top of its head. It has large round eyes and a gaping fang-filled mouth. The bottom part of its body is made entirely of filthy grayish brown garbage-like slime. It has patches of green and pink within the slime, and two arm-like appendages with metallic tubes sticking out. It has short stubby feet. It also appears to have a small tail. "Here are Purrloin, Krockorok, Whirlipede, Doublade, and Garbodor.
Sara has a a large fuzzy bat-like Pokémon. It shares many traits with Woobat. It sports just a slightly larger pair of wings and they share a heart-shaped nostril on their noses. However, it is a much darker shade of blue and has a clear pair of eyes, fused-together ears, a chubby, spherical torso, and legs. It also has a strangely shaped tail and tuft of white fur around its neck. Whenever it flies, its legs are tucked under its body and only its feet are shown. She also has a Talonflame and a female Unfezant.
Tai has a Hydreigon, a Haxorus, a Druddigon, and a Noivern. It was no surprise for Sora.
Joe has an Audino.
Sora took out his Pokédex and scanned them all.
Larvesta, the Torch Pokémon
Type: Bug/Fire
This Pokémon was believed to have been born from the sun. When it evolves, its entire body is engulfed in flames. The base of volcanoes is where they make their homes. They shoot fire from their five horns to repel attacking enemies.
Patrat, the Scout Pokémon
Type: Normal
Extremely cautious, they take shifts to maintain a constant watch of their nest. They feel insecure without a lookout. Using food stored in cheek pouches, they can keep watch for days. They use their tails to communicate with others.
Jellicent, the Floating Pokémon
The evolved form of Frillish
Type: Water/Ghost
They propel themselves by expelling absorbed seawater from their bodies. Their favorite food is life energy. The fate of the ships and crew that wander into Jellicent's habitat: all sunken, all lost, all vanished.
Gothirita, the Manipulate Pokémon
The evolved form of Gothita
Type: Psychic
Starlight is the source of their power. At night, they mark star positions by using psychic power to float stones. According to many old tales, it creates friends for itself by controlling sleeping children on starry nights.
Minncino, the Chinchilla Pokémon
Type: Normal
They pet each other with their tails as a form of greeting. Of the two, the one whose tail is fluffier is a bit more boastful. The way it brushes away grime with its tail can be helpful when cleaning. But its focus on spotlessness can make cleaning more of a hassle.
Cinncino, the Scarf Pokémon
The evolved form of Minncino
Type: Normal
A special oil that seeps through their fur helps them avoid attacks. The oil fetches a high price at market. Its body secretes oil that this Pokémon spreads over its nest as a coating to protect it from dust. Cinccino won't tolerate even a speck of the stuff.
Vullabye, the Diapered Pokémon
Type: Dark/Flying
They tend to guard their posteriors with suitable bones they have found. They pursue weak Pokémon. Its wings are too tiny to allow it to fly. As the time approaches for it to evolve, it discards the bones it was wearing.
Floette, the Single Bloom Pokémon

When the flowers of a well-tended flower bed bloom, it appears and celebrates with an elegant dance. It flutters around fields of flowers and cares for flowers that are starting to wilt. It draws out the hidden power of flowers to battle

When gripped by rage, Aurorus will emanate freezing air, covering everything around it in ice. It's said that when this Pokémon howls, auroras appear in the night sky.
Gourgeist, the Pumpkin Pokémon

Type: Ghost/Grass
It enwraps its prey in its hairlike arms. It sings joyfully as it observes the suffering of its prey. Singing in eerie voices, they wander town streets on the night of the new moon. Anyone who hears their song is cursed.
Klefki, the Key Ring Pokémon
Type: Steel/Fairy
It never lets go of a key that it likes, so people give it the keys to vaults and safes as a way to prevent crime. These key collectors threaten any attackers by fiercely jingling their keys at them.
Joltik, the Attaching Pokémon
Type: Bug/Electric
They attach themselves to large-bodied Pokémon and absorb static electricity, which they store in an electric pouch. Joltik that live in cities have learned a technique for sucking electricity from the outlets in houses.
Galvantula, the EleSpider

When attacked, they create an electric barrier by spitting out many electrically charged threads. They employ an electrically charged web to trap their prey. While it is immobilized by shock, they leisurely consume it.
Dwebble, the Rock Inn Pokémon
Type: Bug/Rock
This Pokémon can easily melt holes in hard rocks with a liquid secreted from its mouth. It makes a hole in a suitable rock. If that rock breaks, the Pokémon remains agitated until it locates a replacement.
Crustle, the Stone Home Pokémon
The evolved form of Dwebble
Type: Bug/Rock
It possesses legs of enormous strength, enabling it to carry heavy slabs for many days, even when crossing arid land. Competing for territory, Crustle fight viciously. The one whose boulder is broken is the loser of the battle.
Furfrou, the Poodle Pokémon

Left alone, its fur will grow longer and longer, but it will only allow someone it trusts to cut it. There was an era when aristocrats would compete to see who could trim their Furfrou's fur into the most exquisite style.
Petilil, the Bulb Pokémon

The leaves on its head are very bitter. Eating one of these leaves is known to refresh a tired body. Since they prefer moist, nutrient-rich soil, the areas where Petilil live are known to be good for growing plants.

The fragrance of the garland on its head has a relaxing effect. It withers if a trainer does not take good care of it. Even veteran Trainers face a challenge in getting its beautiful flower to bloom. This Pokémon is popular with celebrities.
Cottonee, the Cotton Puff Pokémon

When attacked, it escapes by shooting cotton from its body. The cotton serves as a decoy to distract the attacker. They go wherever the wind takes them. On rainy days, their bodies are heavier, so they take shelter beneath big trees.
Whimsicott, the Windveiled Pokémon

Type: Grass/Fairy
Like the wind, it can slip through any gap, no matter how small. It leaves balls of white fluff behind. Riding whirlwinds, they appear. These Pokémon sneak through gaps into houses and cause all sorts of mischief.
Carracosta, the Prototurtle Pokémon

Incredible jaw strength enables them to chew up steel beams and rocks along with their prey. They can live both in the ocean and on land. A slap from one of them is enough to open a hole in the bottom of a tanker.
Archeops, the First Bird Pokémon
The evolved form of Archen
Type: Rock/Flying
It runs better than it flies. It catches prey by running at speeds comparable to those of an automobile. They are intelligent and will cooperate to catch prey. From the ground, they use a running start to take flight.
Garbodor, the Trash Heap Pokémon
The evolved form of Trubbish
Type: Poison
They absorb garbage and make it part of their bodies. They shoot a poisonous liquid from their right-hand fingertips. Consuming garbage makes new kinds of poison gases and liquids inside their bodies.
Swoobat, the Courting Pokémon
The evolved form of Woobat
Type: Psychic/Flying
It emits sound waves of various frequencies from its nose, including some powerful enough to destroy rocks. Anyone who comes into contact with the ultrasonic waves emitted by a courting male experiences a positive mood shift.
"These are impressive Pokémon," Sora said.
"Hey, I have an idea. How about we have some double battles as couples," Mimi suggested.
"Okay, how are we going to do it?" Kairi asked.
"I was thinking of TK and Kari against Lucas and Dawn. Then it'll be me and Matt against Ken and Yolei. And then, it'll be Tai and Sara against Sora and Kairi," Mimi said.
"Sounds like a good plan," TK said.
"Both trainers will be using one Pokémon each, and the battle is over when both Pokémon of either side is unable to battle," Mimi said.
"Who's going first?" Yolei asked.
"I was thinking of TK and Kari versus Lucas and Dawn," Mimi said.
"Right," Joe said.
TK and Kari got ready to battle against Dawn and Lucas. Izzy was getting into position as referee.
"Ladies and gentlemen, the couples tag battles are about to begin! We have the tag battle of TK and Kari versus Lucas and Dawn! Both teams will be using two Pokémon; that's one from each trainer and the battle is over when both of the team's Pokémon is unable to battle! Let the battle commence!" Izzy announced. Both teams took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Jellicent!" TK and Kari called out. Both Jellicent has come out to battle.
"Go! Grotle!" Lucas called out.
"Pachirisu! Spotlight!" Dawn called out. Grotle and Pachirisu has both come out at once.
"TK and Kari has the first move!" Izzy said.
"Jellicent! Shadow Ball!" TK and Kari ordered. Both Jellicent formed balls of shadows and threw them at their opponents.
"Grotle! Razor Leaf!" Lucas ordered.
"Pachirisu! Discharge!" Dawn ordered.
Grotle fires Razor Leaf as Pachirisu unleashed Discharge and blocked Shadow Ball.
"Grotle! Use Bite on the blue one!" Lucas ordered. Grotle charged right at TK's Jellicent.
"Use Psychic!" Kari ordered. Kari's Jellicent uses Psychic and lifts up Grotle in the air.
"Pachirisu! Use Spark on the pink one!" Dawn ordered. Blue sparks appear on Pachirisu's cheeks. Pachirisu then becomes surrounded by light blue electricity and runs towards Kari's Jellicent.
"Jellicent! You use Psychic too!" TK ordered. TK's Jellicent uses Psychic and lifts up Pachirisu and threw the EleSquirrel Pokémon and hits Grotle.
"Thanks for the save, TK," Kari said.
"Sure thing, Kari. I owed you one for helping me out," TK said.
"It kinda reminds me of that one time a couple named Andie and Oscar challenged them in a tag battle," Cody said.
"They did assume Davis and Amy as a couple at first," Joe said.
"Use Hyper Beam!" TK and Kari ordered. Both Jellicent fired a powerful Hyper Beam and struck them both resulting in a double knockout.
"Grotle and Pachirisu are both aunable to battle! Both Jelliecent wins! The victory goes to TK and Kari!" Izzy announced. TK and Kari high-fived for the win. Lucas and Dawn were conforting their fallen Pokémon as Kari conforted them both.
"You're not too hurt too bad, are you?" Kari asked Grotle and Pachirisu. She looked right at Lucas and Dawn. "You two did a wonderful with these two."
"Thanks a lot, Kari," Lucas said.
"You're so very nice," Dawn said.
"That is why I love her," TK said, giving his girlfriend a kiss on the cheek, mkaing her blush.
"Oh, TK," Kari said.
"Next are the teams of Matt and Mimi versus Ken and Yolei," Izzy announced. With that done, Matt, Mimi, Ken, and Yolei has taken their positions for battle. "Now, it's Matt and Mimi against Ken and Yolei. Same rules as last time. Choose and commence the battle!" Izzy announced. Matt and Mimi took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Lycanroc!" Matt called out.
"Go! Whimsicott!" Mimi called out.
Both of Matt and Mimi's Pokémon has emerged from their Pokéballs.
"Go! Archeops!" Ken called out.
"Go! Rufflet!" Yolei called out.
Ken and Yolei's Pokémon has emrged from their Pokéballs as well.
"Lycanroc! Use Accelerock!" Matt ordered.
"Whimsicott! Use Fairy Wind!" Mimi ordered. Lycanroc unleashed Accelerock as Whimsicott unleashed Fairy Wind.
"Archeops! Dodge and use Dragon Claw on Lycanroc!" Ken ordered.
"Rufflet! Use Steel Wing!" Yolei ordered.
Archeops and Rufflet comes at their opponents with their chosen attacks. Both sides has taken some bad hits.
"Lycanroc! Use Fire Fang!" Matt ordered.
"Whimsicott! Use Energy Ball!" Mimi ordered.
Lycanroc came at Rufflet with Fire Fang as Whimsicott fires Energy Ball. Archeops and Rufflet has taken a bad hit.
"Rufflet! Use Aerial Ace on Whimsicott!" Yolei ordered.
"Archeops! Use Dragon Claw on Lycanroc!" Ken ordered.
"Lycanroc! Use Accelerock on Rufflet!" Matt ordered.
"Whimsicott! Use Stun Spore on Acheops!" Mimi ordered. Lycanroc dashed right at the eaglet Pokémon and Whimsicott gave the first bird Pokémon a paralyzing Stun Spore. "Now, use Moonblast!" Whimsicott unleashed Energy Ball and lands a hit on Archeops. Both bird Pokémon took a bad hit. Rufflet stood back up and started to evolve much to everyone's surprise.
"Rufflet," Yolei could only say.
"Rufflet is evolving!" Cody said.
Rufflet is now a large birdlike Pokémon that resembles a bald eagle. The top part of its body is red, while its underside is deep blue. It has large, magnificent wings and a feathery white and red crest atop its head and encircling its face. It has a sharp yellow beak and round eyes with dark pupils. It has a long red tail that is striped yellow and blue at the tip, as well as having very strong legs and large, sharp yellow talons with black claws.
"Rufflet has evolved into a Braviary," Sara said. Sora took out his Pokédex and scanned it.

For the sake of its friends, this brave warrior of the sky will not stop battling, even if injured. They fight for their friends without any thought about danger to themselves. One can carry a car while flying.
"Now he's even learned a new move. Braviary! Superpower!" Yolei ordered. Braviary flew towards Lycanroc and Whimsicott with his talons becomes surrounded in an orange aura. He then strikes Lycanroc and Whimsicott. "Now use Brave Bird!" Braviary came came at the two Pokémon and landed a hit on them both. Ken and Yolei has earned a victory.
"Lycanroc and Whimsicott are both unable to battle! Braviary and Archeops wins! Ken and Yolei wins the battle!" Izzy announced.
"Man, I was certain we were going to win it," Matt said.
"It's okay, Matt. I still love you," Mimi said. She gave her boyfriend a kiss.
And now it was time for Sora and Kairi against Tai and Sara. Both couples took out a Pokéball each and got ready.
"Now, it's the battle between Tai and Sara against Sora and Kairi! Same rules applies! Commence the battle!" Izzy said.
"Go! Haxorus!" Tai called out, letting out Haxorus.
"Go! Unfezant!" Sara called out.
"Go! Empoleon!" Sora called out.
"Go! Purugly!" Kairi called out.
Both of Empoleon and Purugly has come out at once.
"Haxorus! Use Brick Break!" Tai ordered. Haxorus came at Empoleon with Brick Break.
"Unfezant! Use Wing Attack!" Sara ordered. Unfezant heads towards Purugly.
"Empoleon! Use Metal Claw!" Sora ordered. Empoleon blocked Haxorus's Brick Break with Metal Claw.
"Purugly! Slash!" Kairi ordered. Purugly came at Unfezant with Slash. Both of Unfezant and Purugly lands a hit onto each other.
"Unfezant! Air Slash!" Sara ordered. Unfezant unleashed Air Slash right at Purugly, landing a hit.
"Empoleon! Flash Cannon!" Sora ordered. Empoleon fires Flash Cannon and it struck Haxorus.
"Okay, Haxorus! Use Dragon Claw!" Tai ordered. Haxorus runs towards the emperor Pokémon with its claws ready to slash at him.
"Dodge and use Drill Peck!" Sora ordered. Empoleon avoids Haxorus's Dragon Claw and uses Drill Peck. "Now, use Flash Cannon!" Empoleon unleashed Flash Cannon at the axe jaw Pokémon.
"Unfezant! Use Air Slash again!" Sara ordered.
"Purugly! Dodge and use Thunder!" Kairi ordered. Purugly avoided Air Slash and unleashed Thunder, landing a shock onto Unfezant. "Body Slam!" Purugly comes down at the female proud Pokémon.
"Haxorus! Use Draco Metoer!" Tai ordered. Haxorus unleashed Draco Metoer all around.
"Dodge!" Sora, Kairi, and Sara called out. Unfezant managed to dodge Haxorus's attack. Empoleon and Purugly has taken a heavy hit from Draco Metoer. Both Pokémon has taken a heavy hit from Draco Metoer, but they weren't going to call it quits at all. Sora and Kairi looked at each other and nodded.
"Purugly! Use Thunder!" Kairi ordered.
"Empoleon! Use Metal Claw!" Sora ordered. Thunder makes its way to Empoleon and became equipped with Purugly's Thunder and came right at both of Unfezant and Haxorus.
"Look at that!" Sara said.
"I'm not sure what they're trying to pull, but it looks like it's working! Haxorus! Use Brick Break!" Tai ordered.
"Unfezant! Wing Attack!" Sara ordered.
Haxorus and Unfezant rushed over to Empoleon, but he swipes his flippers landing a hit onto the both of them. Unfezant has taken a much heavier hit due to her weakness to Electric Type moves. Both Pokémon has fallen on the ground beaten.
"Haxorus and Unfezant are both unable to battle! Empoleon and Purugly are the winners! Sora and Kairi wins the battle!" Izzy announced. Sora and Kairi cheered for their win. Tai and Sara calls back their fallen Pokémon and went up to them.
"Gotta say, Ketchum, you have grown so much stronger since our first battle," Tai said.
"Thanks Tai," Sora said.
"You're even better than I remember, Kairi," Sara said.
"Thanks Sara," Kairi said.
Tai, Kari, and their friends decided to accompany Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Lucas, and Dawn, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and the Digimon since they had some catching up to do.
"You're kidding! Your mom was a Coordinator, too?" Dawn asked.
"She sure was," TK said.
"That was before she and our dad got married," Matt added.
"Wow, you mean you're Nancy's sons? My mom was also a Coordinator!" Dawn said.
"You don't think our moms might battled each other during a Pokémon Contest, right?" Matt asked.
"I don't know," TK said.
The journey to Sunyshore City continues on their way for Sora's eighth Gym battle. And how will Dawn do in her next Contest battle? Just you wait and see.
