"You know I'm proud of you, right?" Alicia asks, murmuring softly as they rest on the couch, Andre dozing at their feet in his bassinet.
Ricardo chuckles softly, kisses her jaw. "Thank you. It's... nice to hear. Things were so rough, I didn't even realize how far gone I was. Drinking was taking over everything, and I didn't even see how badly until I rehabbed from it." He sighs, pressing his forehead to her shoulder. "A full year. Amazing."
She smiles at him, brushing her thumb down his cheek, settling back in to relax against him, watch the mindless reality TV show flashing on the screen. An ad for Miz and Mrs airs and she giggles at it for a minute before casting a glance back at him. "Hey, how is Heath doing? I forgot to ask since you last mentioned seeing him a few days back."
"Oh," Ricardo says with a small smile. "He called me yesterday, apparently Maryse didn't like him going to the gym this early before he's really cleared for PE, so she's decided now's not a great time to continue going to Raw. So she'll be staying at home with him, making sure he doesn't overdo it with things."
Alicia purses her lips, staring at him. "Well, that worked out nicely for him."
Ricardo chuckles a little. "Yeah," he murmurs. "Probably a little sneaky of him, but I can't say I really blame him." He traces circles against Alicia's flesh and smiles. "When you went back for those reunion things, and Garza flirted with you, I..." He shrugs helplessly. "Well, let's just say I get it. It's difficult when your significant other is getting flirted with on national TV. I can't imagine having to watch them pretend to be married to someone else with kids, even."
Alicia sighs. "Well, that's true," she concedes. "If someone ever tried to do that with you..." Her fingers crook in his shirt and she draws him up, kissing him hungrily, licking against his lips, then inside as he slowly opens up for her, shuddering softly. "Needless to say," she says with a small smile, "it wouldn't go well for them." She laughs. "Crazy Like a Fox Alicia might need to rear her ugly head."
"There's nothing about any version of Alicia that could be considered ugly," Ricardo tells her gently, and Alicia chuckles, ducking her head to press kisses to his jaw, along his neck.
"Thank you," she mumbles.
It's not often things are just calm, peaceful. But their son is sleeping at their feet, their friends seem to be ok, and as Ricardo gently grazes his fingers up her warm flesh, and she kisses him more and more thoroughly with each pause, and everything...
everything feels pretty damn perfect in this moment.
