Episode 411: Sinnoh Grand Festival Part 2
Where we last left off, Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and the Digimon all met up with Riku, Naminé, Eevee, Azurill, the other Digimon, Lucas, and Dawn in Lake Valor. Zoey, Kenny, Nando, Ursula, Aerith, and Yuna has shown up as well, as part of the Grand Festival's meet and greet. The appeal round has gone off to a great start, since Kairi, Dawn, Nando, Zoey, Ursula, and Kenny has given their all in the Grand Festival. The same can be said for Aerith and Yuna. Kairi, Dawn, Aerith, Yuna, Zoey, Nando, and Ursula has made it to the second round, but Kenny was dropped in the appeals round. Now we reach the second round of the Grand Festival and wonder who will make it all the way to the winner's circle. Well, that's what we're all here to find out.
Aerith and her Pokémon, consisting of Meganium, Budew, Roselia, Roserade, Sunflora, and Shiftry were out in the sun as Yuna along with her Pokémon, consisting of Ducklett, Swanna, Sylveon, Unfezant, Froslass, and Leavanny were also out in the sun. They both knew there would be a chance they would be up against Kairi or each other at some point, so they had to prepare for anything.
Kairi has exchanged both of her Rapidash for Vileplume and Bellossom. Kairi decided to use Flapple and Appletun for the first battle. Kairi has to win five more times in the Grand Festival. Kairi battling right after Dawn and Ursula in the first section.
"Yesterday was round one, and today is round two! And the journey and judging continues! Ladies and gentlemen, round two is soon underway at the Pokémon Contest Grand Festival!" Marian announced. The crowd starts cheering hard for the second round to begin. "And now it's time to reveal the match-ups for round two! If you would direct your attention on the big screen, our battles be taking place on four blocks; A, B, C, and D! We will start with the A block! And the first contestants who will be battling in Block are..." The computer selects Dawn against Ursula in the first round.
"Dawn and Ursula has been matched up again," Ventus said.
"Ursula's double evolution in the performance round was a real crowd pleaser. Dawn will have to be able to hold her own in this," Riku said.
"And I know a certain someone who's going to root for Dawn more so than the rest of us," Meowth said, looking at Lucas.
"You know I am," Lucas said.
"So, get ready for the much anticipated Contest battles! Allow these Pokémon delight in double battles! Our Contestants in Block A will be these two! On my left is Dawn, and on my right is Ursula!" Marian announced.
"Take her down, Dawn!" Lucas cheered for his girlfriend.
"Five minutes on the clock and begin!" Marian announced as the clock begins to run. Dawn has one Pokéball with a Star Seal and another in a line Seal.
"Pachirisu and Mamoswine! Spotlight!" Dawn called out. Pachirisu came out with red, blue, yellow, and purple stars erupting from inside as Mamoswine came out with blue lines circling around Mamoswine. Ursula's Pokéballs were placed in Ball Capsules with a Party Seal and a Fire Seal.
"Gabite and Flareon! Go!" Ursula called out. Gabite came out with confetti coming out as Flareon came out with an ember surrounding Flareon.
"Oooh la la! I have been waiting for this!" Fantina said.
"Fantina, you need to contain yourself!" Lisia said.
Backstage.
"Wow, Pachirisu and Mamoswine. Gabite and Flareon," Nando said.
"I can't wait to see this battle! It'll be great!" Zoey said.
"It certainly will," Aerith said.
"Come on, Dawn. You can take her again," Kairi said.
"Pachirisu! Discharge, now!" Dawn ordered. Pachirisu begins with Discharge.
"Gabite! Block that move now!" Ursula called out. Gabite jumped in front of Flareon and took the hit. "How's that?" Dawn grinned.
"I was hoping you would try that. Mamoswine! Use Take Down on Gabite!" Dawn ordered. Pachirisu also fires Discharge on Mamoswine. Mamoswine charges right at Gabite with Take Down and landed a hit onto Flareon. Usula loses a sum of points.
"No way!" Ursula exclaimed.
"A jolt from Pachirisu's Discharge, Mamoswine excecutes a brilliant attack and Dawn's for first!" Marian announced.
"Se magnifique!" Fantina exclaimed.
"That was a smart move, but she won't be that smart for much longer. Gabite! Use Sandstorm!" Ursula ordered. Gabite unleashed Sandstorm. Flareon jumps out of the way of the sand.
"Mamoswine! Use Ancient Power to destroy that Sandstorm!" Dawn ordered. Mamoswine attempts to use Ancient Power on the Sandstorm.
"You can't do that! Flareon! Use Scary Face!" Ursula ordered. Flareon unleashed its scary face in the Sandstorm. Flareon's face is on the sand twister, scaring Mamoswine. THe Sandstorm ceases.
"And a scarier looking Scary Faceusing Gabite's Sandstorm! Ursula maximzed Flareon's moves!" Marian announced.
"Come on, Dawn, I know you can turn this around!" Lucas said.
"Mamoswine! Pchirisu! Snap out of it!" Dawn called out. Mamoswine and Pachirisu regained their posture. "Pachirisu! Use Super Fang on Flareon! Mamoswine! Use Ice Shard on Gabite!" Pachirisu comes at Flareon with Super Fang an Mamoswine prepares to use Ice Shard.
"Gabite! Use Double Team!" Ursula ordered. Gabite makes several copies of herself, making it a lot difficult for Paichirisu and Mamoswine. "Now Flareon, use Shadow Ball!" Flareon unleashed Shadow Ball on both of Pachirisu and Mamoswine.
"Oh dear me!" Fantina gasped. Dawn has lost half of her points. "Get up, the both of you! I know you can do it!" Ursula scoffed.
"That's right. Keep on trying. It's very important to try and try again, and then fail miserably. It's your job to make me look great," Ursula gloated. "Flareon! Use Shadow Ball, rapid fire!" Flareon fires Shadow Ball rapidly.
"Pachirisu! Mamoswine!" Dawn gasped.
"This is bad! Ursula is really is relentless on her," Agumon said. Pachirisu and Mamoswine fell on the ground, but they weren't out yet.
"This battle's mine, Dawn, so get used to it!" Ursula said.
"They stopped attacking. This is my chance to move," Dawn said in her thoughts. She called out loud. "Mamoswine! Use Ice Shard!" Maoswine forms Ice Shard again. "Pachirisu! Run!" Pachirisu gets back up and runs.
"Useless! Flareon! Use Fire Spin!" Ursula ordered. Flareon spews Fire Spin and cancels out Ice Shard. "Gabite! Use Dragon Claw!" Gabite comes at Paichirisu and lands a hit with Dragon Claw. Dawn has lost a little bit more points.
"Get up, Pachirisu! Mamoswine! Use Ice Shard again!" Dawn ordered. Mamoswine prepares to use Ice Shard again.
Backstage, Kairi was watching anxiously.
"Come on, Dawn, I know you can pull through. You beat her before and I know you can again," Kairi said in her thoughts.
"We're at the two-minute warning! And Dawn can't seem to get out of Ursula's onslaught of attacks!" Marian announced.
"You're wasting your time! Flareon! Use Fire Spin!" Usrula unleashed another Fire Spin, melting the Ice Shard.
"If Dawn doesn't land a hit, she won't land any points,' Terra said.
"She'll bounce back," Sora siad.
"Thank you all for making my Fire Spin even more beautiful. And making me look better is this is all about, right, Dawn?" Ursula asked.
"No way in hell I'll ever make her look better," Dawn said. "Mamoswine! Use Ice Shard again! Pachirisu! Discharge right in front!" Mamoswine and Pachirisu ran in front as Mamoswine was prepareing to use Ice Shard.
"Guess you'll never learn! Gabite! Use Dragon Claw! Flareon!Use Fire Spin!" Ursula ordered. Gabite and Flareon came at their opponents again.
"Pachirisu! Jump in front of them and use Spark!" Dawn ordered. Pachirisu dodges Dragon Claw and lands a hit onto Flareon. "Now Mamoswine!" Mamoswine unleashed Ice Shard and it surrounds Pachirisu in a ball made out of ice.
"What in the world is that?!" Ursula exclaimed.
"Pachirisu! Use Ice Shard from inside the ice!" Dawn ordered. Pachirisu ran across the battlefield while inside the ice. "It works! Ice Chanelere is a huge success!"
"An amazing combination from Pachirisu and Mamoswine! It's sparkling beautifully!" Marian announced. The judges were astounded by what they were seeing. Ursula has lost some points from tht combo.
"Dawn must have been going for that all along!" Ventus said.
"All that training with Buneary has paid off! Keep going, Pachirisu!" Dawn calle dout. Pachirisu rolled towards the two opposing Pokémon.
"That silly move is no match for me! Gabite! Use Dig!" Ursula ordered. Gabite dug underground. "Flareon! Follow Gabite inside!" Flareon jumps underground, making Pachirisu miss its mark. Gabite and Flareon jump right out. "Flareon! Use Shadow Ball!" Flareon fires Shadow Ball and struck Pachirisu.
"Mamoswine! Attack using Hidden Power!" Dawn ordered.
"Gabite! Dig!" Ursula ordered. Gabite uses DIg to escape Mamoswine's Hidden Power. They jump right out again. "Shadow Ball! Let's go!" Flareon unleashed Shadow Ball and it struck Mamoswine from behind.
"Mamoswine!" Dawn gasped.
"Now it's one minute left!" Marian announced. Flareon kept firing SHadow Ball right at Mamoswine and Pachirisu.
"Keep it up, Dawn! It's not over yet!" Lucas called out. The battlefield was now filled with holes.
"Pachiurisu, Mamoswine, stay strong!" Dawn called out. Pachirisu and Mamoswine struggled to stand up.
"Blocked our attacks again. Now what?" Dawn asked in her thoughts.
"I'm bored! Gabite! Dragon Claw!" Ursula ordered. Gabite comes at Pachirisu and Mamoswine with Dragon Claw. Dawn thought until she looked right at the holes, getting an idea.
"Wait! That's it! Pachirisu! Jump in that hole!" Dawn called out. Pachirisu jumps in a nearby hole. "Mamoswine! Use Ice Shard!" Gabite lands a hit.
"Flareon! Use Fire Fang!" Ursula ordered. Flareon jumped in a roll and lands a hit with Fire Fang. "Of course, it's as good as mine!" Mamoswine unleashed Ice SHard right in the holes.
"Pachirisu! Discharge!" Dawn ordered. Pachirisu unleashed Discharge from underneath the ground.
"Huh?! Now what?!" Ursula exclaoimed.
"It's called determination! Mamoswine! Ancient Power, down on the ground!" Dawn ordered. Mamoswine slams on the ground, making Pachirisu pop out while in Ice Chanelere again. Everyone was in awe. Pachirisu ran right towards Gabite and Flareon.
"Gabite! Use Sandstorm! Flareon! Use Fire Spin!" Ursula ordered.
"Mamoswine! Use Hidden Power on Pachirisu!" Dawn ordered. Mamoswine unleashed Hidden Power and it gives Pachirisu a heavy boost. Both of Gabite and Flareon take a heavy hit.
"Stay strong, the both of you!" Ursula called out.
"Mamoswine! Use Hidden Power! Pachirisu! Discharge!" Dawn ordered. Both Pokémon prepared to use their attacks again.
"Sorry, too late! Gabite and Flareon, dodge!" Ursula called out. Ursula gasped when she saw both of her Gabite and Flareon down on the ground beaten.
"Gabite and Flareon are unable to battle! And the winner of the second round first battle is Dawn!" Marian announced.
"I knew she would pull it off! I knew it!" Lucas said.
"Way to take her down!" Patamon said.
"Yes!" Vorvomon and the Dracomon Brothers both said.
"An Ice Chandelere, from ice and electricity. A surprising round! Brillaint idea!" Contesta said.
"Brillinat and remarkable!" Suziko said.
"Simply beautiful," Rosa said.
"And dazzling," Garnet said.
"One of the best I have seen," Lisia said.
"If my excitement were raindrops, there would be a mist all around!" Fantina said. Ursula was disappointed to see that she has lost again. Ursula has dressed in her regular clothes.
"I lost again. After all that hard work to get here," Ursula said.
"To be honest, I didn't think I would win either until the last minute," Dawn said. "I just did what Sora and Kairi would do and I went with it. I'm not Kairi. Kairi is one of the reasons that I'm a Coordinator." Ursula looked right at her.
"Why do you admire her that much?" Ursula asked.
"Because Kairi is a huge inspriaration. Not only on me, but others like me. I can see why Sora loes her that much," Dawn said. Ursula realzied that Kairi is what she isn't.
"Well, your win was dumb luck and we both know it. And we'll see how far that dumb luck will carry you," Ursula said, taking her leave.
The other battles has concluded in Block A as it was now Kairi's turn to battle in Block B. Kairi was up against Aerith.
"And now we move in to Block B! On my left, it's Kairi! On my left, it's Aerith!" Marian announced. The crowd cheered. Back in Pallet Town, Yuta and Kairi's grandmother are watching the Grand Festival on tv. The FanBeemon were cheering hard for Kairi to win. "Five minutes on the clock, so begin!" The starts running as Kair took out two Pokéballs inside of Ball Capsules in Party Seals, making it seem festive for her two Pokémon.
"Go! Flapple and Appletun!" Kairi called out. Flapple and Appletun both came out to battle in confetti. Aerith took out two of her own in Ball Capsules in pink Floral Seals.
"Go! Meganium! Roserade!" Aerith called out. Meganium and Roserade came out with a flurry of flower petals.
"Flapple! Use Grav Apple! Appletun! Use Apple Acid!" Kairi ordered. Flapple calls for an apple and sends it down as Appletun sprays acid that is the same color as apple juice..
"Dodge!" Aerith ordered. Both of her Pokémon avoided Grav Apple and Apple Acid, making Kairi lose some points.
"Aerith starts off by having Roserade and Meganium dodge!" Marian announced.
"Meganoum and Roserade! Use Magical Leaf!" Aerith ordered. Both Grass Type Pokémon unleashed Magical Leaf at the two Dragon and Grass Type Pokémon.
"Appletun! Acid Spray!" Kairi ordered. Appletun sprays Apple Acid and it blocks Magical Leaf. "Flapple! Use Dragon Rush combined with Wing Attack!" Flapple uses Dragon Rush with his wings out.
"Flapple comes at the Meganium and Roserade with Wing Attack and Dragon Rush!" Marian announced.
"Meganium! Use Pollen Puff!" Aerith ordered. Meganium forms purple balls of pollen and sends it right at Flapple, but Flapple cuts through it and lands a hit onto Meganium, making Aerith lose some points.
"Appletun! Use Headbutt!" Appletun charges at Roserade with Headbutt.
"Roserade! Magical Leaf!" Aerith ordered. Roserade unleashed Magical Leaf and it struck Appletun. The apple nectar Pokémon just kept on going. Kairi kept losing points from those hits and we get to the three minute mark.
"Appletun is taking those hits from Roserade's Magical Leaf!" Marian announced. Appletun lands a sucessful hit onto Roserade and it goes flying. "Appletun has managd to overpower Appletun with a good hard Headbutt!"
"Flapple! Use Grav Apple! Appletun! Headbutt!" Kairi ordered. Flapple tossed some apples down as Appletun headbutts the apples.
"Flapple and Appletun are making good use of Grav Apple and Headbutt!" Marian announced.
"Meganium! Magical Leaf!" Aerith ordered. Meganium unleashed Magical Leaf and it cuts the apples, maing Kairi lose some more points.
"Meganium's Magical Leaf minces Flapple's Grav Apple!" Marian announced.
"For some reason, I'm in the mood for anything with apples," Lisia said.
"Pollen Puff!" Aerith ordered. Megaium unleashed Pollen Puff and it struck both of Flapple and Appletun.
"Flapple! Use Dragon Rush! Appleun! Use Energy Ball!" Kairi ordered. Appletun preapres to fire Energy Ball as Flapple comes at the two opposing Pokémon with Dragon Rush. Flapple lands a hit onto Meganium. Appletun fires Energy Ball and it lands a hit on Roserade. "Dragon Pulse!" Appletun unleashed Dragon Pulse and lands a hit onto both of Meganium and Roserade. Roserade has been taken out, and we get to the two minute point.
"Two minutes reamining and Kairi has already taken out Roserade!" Marian announced.
"Meganium! Megical Leaf!" Aerith ordered. Meganium unleashed Magical Leaf and struck both of Flapple and Appletun. "Now, use Pollen Puff!" Meganium unleashed Pollen Puff and they took even more hits, and Kairi lost more of her points.
"Aerith is really putting the pressure on Kairi after losing Roserade! This might be all over for Kairi!" Marian announced.
"I won't accept that! COme on, Kairi! I know you can do it!" Mirei cheered for her daughter.
"What I was thinking!" Sora said.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu said.
"Eevee!" Angel said.
"She's really giving it to me. I gotta take as much of her points as I could. I got to," Kairi said in her thoughts. She called out loud. "Flapple! Wing Attack!' Appletun! Apple Spray!" Flapple comes right at Meganium as Appletun spews Apple Acid.
"Dodge it!" Meganium dodges, making Kairi lose some more points.
"Meganium is making good use of its movements, dodging Flapple and Appletun's attacks!" Marian announced. Kairi saw she had a minute left, so she had to make it count.
"Dragon Pusle and Dragon Rush!" Kairi ordered. Flapple comes down with Dragon Rush as Appletun unleashed Dragon Pulse. "Now, use Energy Ball!" Appletun unkeashed Energy Ball and it collides with Dragon Pulse, captivating the audience. It was beautiful. Both of Flapple and Appletun landed a hit onto Meganium, making her lose a huge sum of points. Kairi was making a comeback.
"Incredible! A moment ago, Kairi's points were going in the gutter, but now, it's Aerith's points that has taken a heavy blow!" Marian announced. Aerith smiled.
"That was impressive, Kairi! Meganium!Use Magical Leaf!" Aeirth ordered. Meganium unleashed Magical Leaf right at Appletun and Flapple.
"Block that with Apple Acid!" Kairi ordered. Appletun spews Apple Acid and it blocks Magical Leaf, making Aerith lose some points. "Flapple! Wing Attack!" Flapple comes down at Meganium and lands a hit with Wing Attack. "Grav Apple!" Flapple threw an apple at Meganium and it takes a hit from that attack. Meganium, Flapple, and Appletun were all getting exhausted from the battle.
"Wow! This battle is really heating up! Even though it's two against one, both of Flapple and Appletun are giving their all against a powerful opponent like Meganium!" Marian announced. "And we have ten seconds remaining!" The clock runs as the three Pokémon charged at each other. "Nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one! And time!" All of the Pokémon stopped in their tracks. "And the winner is..." The screen shows Kairi has more points than Aerith. "It's Kairi by a nose!" The crowd cheered on as the FanBeemon were cheering just as loud along with Pumpkinmon and Gotsumon.
"That's my girl!" Sora and Mirei both said. Cattleya smiled warmly, knowing how well they're getting along. It was just like they were already in-laws.
"Kairi will be moving up!" Aqua said.
"Hopefully all the way to the top!" Ventus said.
The Grand Festival rages on as Zoey, Nando, and Yuna has trashed the competition.
"This is truly a Grand Festival to remember! We are now down to sixteen contestants!" Marian announced as the crowd cheered.
A little later, Sora and Kairi decided to have themselves a little date to celebrate her win along with Lucas and Dawn.
"That was a great battle, Dawn," Kairi said.
"Thanks Kairi. You were awesome, too! I'm already looking forward in the next round!" Dawn said.
"Anyway, Lucas and I thought of a little something to give our special ladies a little something for coming out on top in today's battles," Sora said.
"What?" Kairi and Dawn both asked. The boys both grinned as they took out coupons for a free dinner in a local resturant.
"Tada!" The boys said.
"Sora," Kairi cooed.
"Lucas," Dawn added.
"We hope you like it," Sora said.
"It was Sora's idea," Lucas said.
"And it was very sweet of you," Kairi said, giving her boyfriend a deserved kiss. Mirei and Cattleya were spying on the couples and they smiled warmly.
Elsewhere, Aerith, Yuna, Rosa, and Cecil has shown up to have a secret meeting.
"Kairi is way better than I thought," Aerith said.
"But we got to have a taste of her power," Yuna said.
"It's not over yet. We still have the rest of the Grand Festival," Cecil said.
"I agree. And after that, it's the Sinnoh Pokémon League. Sora will undoubtedly attend there," Rosa said.
"And Yuffie and Tidus will be there as well," Yuna said. Aerith looked at her with a teasing expression.
"And I know you would be rooting for Tidus," Aerith teased, making Yuna huff.
"Don't tease me," Yuna said.
"Putting all that aside, the Grand Festival should be promising. Yuna, we don't expect you to win, but we expect you to give her a challenge," Cecil said.
"I plan to," Yuna said.
"Say, wasn't Garnet supposed to attend this?" Aerith asked.
"She had to report to HQ. She said she wanted to be the one to do it," Cecil said.
Meanwhile, Yuffie and Tidus were training with Paine and Rikku. Yuffie's Pokémon consisted of Froakie, Frogadier, Greninja, Ninjask, Shedinja, and Accelgor. Tidus's team consisted of Heatmor, Samurott, Krockorok, Floatzel, and a male Unfezant. Rikku's Pokémon consisted of Sceptile, Spritzee, Aromatisse, Blaziken, Clawitzer, and Bisharp. Paine's Pokémon consisted of Pancham, Pangoro, Scrafty, Gothita, Gohtirita, and Gothitelle. They were training for the upcoming Pokémon League tournament.
"You're doing great!" Rikku said.
"Thanks," Tidus said.
"It's all thanks to you guys that we're working hard to make it to the Sinnoh Pokémon League," Yuffie said.
"Yeah, and I'm going to win it!" Tidus said. Yuffie sighed in frustration.
"Whatever," Yuffie said.
"Say, why aren't you at the Grand Festival, supporting Yuna, Tidus?" Rikku asked.
"I'm heading there. I just got to finish training first," Tidus said.
"Whatever," Paine said. "Just be sure you don't take too long," Paine said.
"Yeah, yeah," Tidus said.
Their training went on without a hitch. Back at the Grand Festival, Kairi has sent Appletun and Flapple back to Professor Oak's lab, and exchanged them for Glaceon and Raichu. Now Kairi is up against Yuna in the next round. Kairi has decided to use her Glaceon and Raichu against her. Dawn had hers as Zoey and Nando were waiting.
"And now ladies and gentlemen, it is time for our next Contest battle here in the Grand Festival! It's Kairi versus Yuna! Five minutes on the clock and begin!" Marian announced. The clock starts running as Kairi has taken out two of her Pokéballs in Ball Capsules with a yellow Star Seal and a blue Line Seal.
"Go! Raichu and Glaceon!" Kairi called out. Raichu came out in a shower of stars as Glaceon came out in a line forming around the fresh snow Pokémon. Yuna took out two of her Pokéballs and threw them. Her Pokéballs are in Ball Capsules with a white Smoke Seal and a pink Floral Seal.
"Go! Leavanny and Froslass!" Yuna called out. Froslass came out in a puff of smoke as Leavanny came out with a flurry of flower petals.
"A Leavanny and a Froslass. This is going to be pretty tough," Ventus said.
"For Raichu. Leavanny is a Grass Type as well as a Bug Type, so Electric Type moves won't do much damage on it. And Froslass is a Ghost Type, so Seismic Toss will do a thing to her," Aqua said.
"Aren't Ice Types weak against Fighting Types?" Gabumon asked.
"They are, but Froslass is a Ghost Type, so Normal and Fighting Type moves won't even tickle Froslass," Meowth said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Forslass! Begin with Shadow Ball! Leavanny! Use Silver Wind!" Yuna ordered. Froslass begins with Shadow Ball as Leavanny unleashes Silver Wind.
"Raichu! Thunderbolt! Glaceon! Use Blizzard!" Kairi ordered. Raichu and Glaceon unleashed their attacks, combining Thunderbolt and Blizzard, canceling out Silver Wind and Shadow Ball. Yuna has lost some points.
"Wow! A combination of Thunderbolt and Blizzard done in a magnificent way!" Marian announced.
"Raichu! Thunder Punch on Froslass! Glaceon! Ice Fang on Leavanny!" Raichu came at Froslass with Thunder Punch ready as Glaceon heads right towards Leavanny.
"Froslass! Use Frost Breath!" Yuna ordered. Froslass unleashed a cold breath right at her opponents, landing a hit onto Raichu and Glaceon. Kairi has lost some points from that. "Leavanny! Use X-Scissor!" Leavanny comes at Raichu and Glaceon and landed X-Scissor, making Kairi lose some more points. The clock runs down to two minutes remaining.
"Two minutes left! Yuna may win this one!" Marian announced. Kairi had to think fast.
"Glaceon! Use Ice Beam, but aim at his fist!" Kairi ordered. Glaceon fired Ice Beam right at Raichu's hands. "Thunder Punch!" Raichu's Thunder Punch started to glitter.
"Wow! Raichu's Thunder Punch combined with Glaceon's Ice Beam is incredible! What does she have in store?" Marian announced. Raichu lands a Thunder Punch onto both of Froslass and Leavanny. Yuna has lost some points.
"Thunderbolt and Blizzard!" Kairi ordered. Raichu and Glaceon unleashed their attacks and they merged together and struck btoh of Leavanny and Froslass. Both were taken down.
"Froslass and Leavanny are both unable to battle! And Kairi wins!" Marian announced. The crowd cheered on as Yuna calls back her two Pokémon and smiled.
"Ice Beam and Thunder Punch used as a fusion punch is very creative and unique!" Contesta said.
"And remarkable!" Suziko said.
"Glaceon and Raichu were very magnifique! She has done well to train them!" Fantina said.
"Nice job, Kairi. You should be roud," Yuna said.
The Grand Festival rages on as Dawn, Zoey, and Nando has bested the rest of the competition until it was down to four left.
"We had some memorable Grand Festivals in many years, but this is one of the most memorable! We are now down to four contestsants remaining! Which one will make it to the top and earn the rank of Top Coordinator? Will it the Pokémon minstrel Nando, Zoey, Dawn live up to the reputation of her mother, Johanna, or will it be the Princess of Heart, Kairi, working for a second Grand Festival victory? That's what we will find out first thing tomorrow!" Marian announced. As it turns out, it will be Kairi against Zoey, and Dawn against Nando. "Be sure to join us all here tomorrow for all the action!"
And this was the moment of truth. Kairi will be battling Zoey, and Dawn will be up against Nando. Now the question is who will make it to the final round and bring home the gold for all to see? Like Marian said, we are here to find out in the next chapter.
