Episode 412: Sinnoh Grand Festival Part 3
Last time, we have entered the second round of the Grand Festival, so Dawn was paired up against Ursula once again, as Kairi is paired up against Aerith. Ursula has given Dawn a serious hard time with her Gabite and Flareon. After making some comebacks, Dawn was able to overpower Ursula once again. Afterwards, Kairi battled Aerith hard with Flapple and Appletun. Aerith has placed Kairi in a corner, but she has managed to come out on top after making a miraculous recovery. Later, Kairi is paired up against Yuna, using Raichu and Glaceon against Froslass and Leavanny. Like before, Yuna was putting Kairi in a corner, so using a fusion of electricity and ice, she managed to overcome Yuna. The Grand Festival is now down to her, Dawn, Zoey, and Nando with Kairi being against Zoey and Dawn against Nando. Now, it was a matter of who will be making it to the top.
Before the finals could get started, Kairi has exchanged Bellossom, Vileplume, Raichu, and Glaceon for Lopunny, Politoed, Magmar and Kadabra for the battle against Zoey. She remembered the first battle she and Zoey had in Jublife CIty, and knew she wasn't going to find it easy with her, so she had to give it everything she has.
It was now the semi-finals as Kairi and Zoey entered the stage.
"Ladies and gentlemen, we are now down to the semi-finals of this fantastic Grand Festival! Four Coordinators has made it all this way to make it to the finals and only one of them is going to walk away a winner! And now, it is time to begin! On my left, it's Kairi from Pallet Town, and Zoey from Snowpoint City! Both hve five minutes to strip away as much as possible! Now let's begin!" Marian announced. Zoey and Kairi both took out their Pokéballs in Ball Capsules. Zoey's has Star Seals as Kairi's has a Fire Seal and a white Smoke Seal.
"Glameow! Leafeon! Curtain!" Zoey called out as both of her Glameow and Leafeon came out with a sea of stars.
"Kadabra! Magmar! Go!" Kairi called out. Kadabra came out with white smoke as Magmar has emerged from flames.
"Leafeon! Use Energy Ball! Glameow! Use Energy Ball!" Zoey ordered. Leafeon unleashed Energy Ball as Glameow unleashed Shock Wave and it merges with the Energy Ball.
"And there's a quick fusion move! Energy Ball has merged with Shock Wave!" Marian announced. Kairi has lost a sum of points.
"Kadabra! Mega Kick, and Magmar use Flamethrower!" Kairi ordered. Kadabra kicks the fused attacks into the air.
"Zoey's fusion move is kicked in the air!" Marian announced. Magmar took in a deep breath and blasts Leafeon with Flamethrower, causing some heavy damage due to its weakness to fire. Magmar's Flamethrower came out beautifully. Zoey has lost some points in the process. "And Zoey loses some serious points by how lovely that Flamethrower is coming out!"
"That Magmar is incredible. That Flamethrower is gorgeous!" Zoey said. Zoey's earlier attack comes back down.
"Oh no! The Energy Ball and Shock Wave combo is coming back down!" Marian announced.
"Kadabra! Psychic!" Kairi ordered. Kadabra uses Psychic to stop the combo attack and it explodes in a gorgeous firework display.
"Wow! Kadabra makes good use of Pyshic by blocking the Shock Wave and Energy Ball fusion! Simply breathtaking!" Marian announced.
"Ah, magnifique!" Fantia said, awestruck.
"Wow, Kairi is tougher than I remember. From I what I heard, both her Kadabra and Magmar has come a long way since being an Abra and a Magby. And I can see why Kairi won the Hoenn Grand Festival and the Poké Maiden Tournament. But I can show her!" Zoey said. "Leafeon! Use Leaf Blade on Kadabra! Glameow! Use Shadow Claw on Magmar!" Glameow heads towards Magmar with Shadow Claw as Leafeon uses Leaf Blade against Kadabra.
"Kadabra! Use Teleport! Magmar! Dodge and use Fire Punch!" Kairi ordered. Kadabra teleports out of Leafeon's way. Magmar manages to avoid Glameow's Shadow Claw, and lands a Fire Punch in the face. Zoey has lost some points with a failed attempt. "Fire Punch again!"
"And here comes Magmar with another Fire Punch!" Marian announced.
"Glameow! Iron Tail!" Zoey ordered. Glameow stops Magmar by using Iron Tail, around her wrists. "Shock Wave!" Glameow unleashed Shock Wave, hurting Magmar. Kairi has lost some points in the process. "Leafeon! Energy Ball!" Leafeon unleashed Energy Ball and it struck Kadabra hard. Kairi has lost some points with that.
"Wow! It looks like Zoey is starting to make a comeback with both of Shock Wave, Iron Tail, and Energy Ball!" Marian announced.
"Not bad, Zoey! Kadabra! Use Mega Punch on Glameow! Megmar! Use Incinerate on Leafeon!" Kairi ordered. Magmar unleashed Incinerate as Kadabra comes at Glameow.
"Glameow! Leafeon! Energy Ball and Shock Wave!" Zoey ordered. Glameow and Leafeon unleashed their chosen attacks and they merged again.
"Zoey maes a good use of fusing Shock Wave and Energy Ball again!" Marian announced. Both attacks lands a heavy hit to Magmar and Kadabra. "And it lands a hit onto both of Magmar and Kadabra!" Kairi has lost some points in the process as the clock runs down to two minutes. "Two minutes remaining on this magnificent battle!"
"Zoey has improved since the last time. Now to come up with something new," Kairi said. She remembered a trick that Nancy used during the Lavaridge Contest, using Extrasensrory and Inferno to her advantage, so she had to try it with Flamethrower and Psychic. "Gotta try that. Magmar! Use Flamethrower! Kadabra! Use Psychic!" Magmar unleashed Flamethrower as Kadrabra uses Psychic on the flames.
"Now Kairi is making use of her Magmar and Kadabra's Flamethrower and Psychic! It's so beautiful to witness!" Marian announced.
"I simply cannot take my eyes off of this! good use of Psychic and Fire Type moves!" Contesta said.
"Amazing!" Zoey said.
"Now! Move it Kadabra!" Kairi called out. Kadabra uses the flames and moves them towards Glameow and Leafeon, surrounding them.
"Now Kadabra is surrounding Glameow and Leafeon with Magmar's Flamethrower! This is so impressive, it's grabbing the judges' attention!" Marian announced.
"Now!" Kairi called out. Kadabra sends the flames onto Glameow and Leafeon in the flames, making Zoey lose some points in the one minute mark.
"One minute remaining and Kairi is making a huge comeback! It is beyond belief!" Marian announced. The flames has subsided as Magmar and Kadabra awaits further orderes.
"Mamgar! Kadabra! Fire Punch and Mega Punch!" Kairi ordered. Magmar take Kabra by the hand and they both jumped and lands a punch onto their opponents.
"And now, Kadabra and Magmar use a combination of Fire Punch and Mega Punch on their opponents!" Marian announced. The clock is now down to thirty seconds as Zoey has lost some more of her points. Kadabra then unleashed a completely new move. It came out as Psybeam. Kairi knew he didn't know that before. "And Kadabra unleashed a beautiful Psybeam!" The psychic beam struck both of Glameow and Leafeon.
"Magnifique! Kadabra learning a new move during a Contest Battle is a rare sight to see!" Fantina said. The clock runs down to ten seconds.
"Ten seconds left!" Marian announced.
"Shock Wave! Energy Ball!" Zoey ordered. Both of her Pokémon prepared to fire when the clock runs out.
"Time! And the winner of the semi-final round is Kairi, along with her Magmar and Kadabra!" Marian announced. The crowd cheers for Kairi as she embraced her two Pokémon.
"I am so proud of you. I love you both very much!" Kairi praised her Pokémon. Magmar and Kadabra hugs Kairi tight. Zoey went up to her Glameow and Leafeon.
"You okay?" Zoey asked. Glameow and Leafeon replied to their trainer sadly. "Don't be sorry. You were both awesome. You always gave it your all, and that's all I could ask of you." Glameow and Leafeon both beamed, feeling better about losing. Once the battle was over, Zoey went up to Kairi. "Congratulations on your win, Kairi. You deserved to win after that performance."
"Thanks, Zoey. You deserved it too. I had loads of fun battling you," Kairi said. Both Coordinators shook hands.
"But I plan on getting even stronger, so I can beat you next time," Zoey said.
"I'm already looking forward to it," Kairi said.
So Dawn and Nando both were heading for the stage for their battle.
"And now, it's time for our second battle of the day! Standing on my left is Dawn! And on my right is Nando! Five minutes to strip away as much points as possible before time runs out! And begin!" Marian announced. The clock starts running as Dawn and Nando each took out two Pokéballs in Ball Capsules. Dawn has hers with yellow Star Seals as Nando has his in Music Seals.
"Cyndaquil! Buneary! Spotlight!" Dawn called out. Buneary and Cyndaquil both came out with a sea of stars.
"Sunflora and Kricketune! Enter!" Nando called out. Both of his Sunflora and Kricketune have entered the battle. "Kricketune! Sing! Sunflora! Use Grass Whistle!" Kricketune and Sunflora begun by making several music notes appear all over the battlefield.
"And Nando makes a beautiful start by using Sing and Grass Whistle! Such a soothing melody!" Marian announced.
"Buneary! Use Ice Beam! Cyndaquil! Use Swift!" Dawn ordered. Buneary and Cyndaquil unleashed their attacks all over the battlefield, canceling out Sing and Grass Whistle, also making the bard lose some of his points. "Okay, Cyndaquil! Use Flame Wheel! Buneary! Use Bounce!" Buneary jumps in the air and she have Cyndaquil quite a kick with Bounce as Cyndaquil uses Flame Wheel. The ball of fire rolls right into Sunflora and Kricketune with great force.
"Buneary and Cyndaquil has made a wonderful combination of Flame Wheel and Bounce!" Marian announced. Nando has lost some points in the process.
"Well played, Dawn! Kricketune! Use X-Scissor! Sunflora! Use Razor Leaf!" Nando ordered. Kricketune comes at Cyndaquil and Buneary with X-Scissor as Sunflora unleashed Razor Leaf. Dawn loses some points in the process.
"Cyndaquil! Flamethrower! Buneary! Ice Beam!" Dawn ordered. Cyndaquil unleashed Flamethrower as Bunraey unleashed Ice Beam and they stop Sunflora's Razor Leaf, but Kricketune lands a perfect hit with X-Scisssor on Buneary, taking away Dawn's points.
"Kricketune lands a direct hit with X-Scisssor! And Nando has taken out a huge chunk of Dawn's points!" Marian announced.
"Kricketune! Use Bug Buzz! Sunflora! Use Grass Whislte!" Nando ordered. Kricketune uses Bug Buzz as Sunflora uses Grass Whisle, comnbing two sound moves.
"Nando is making good use of Bug Buzz and Grass Whistle from both of Kricketune and Sunflora!" Marian announced. Dawn has lost some points in the process. The music notes from Grass Whistle and heads right towards Cyndaquil and Buneary.
"Dodge and use Swift and Ice Beam!" Dawn ordered. Cyndaquil and Buneary avoids Grass Whislte, costing Nando some more points as Buneay and Cyndaquil has lost some more points.
Kairi was backstage and she smiled as Dawn is making everyone be at the edge of their seats.
"Dawn, you sure came a long way since our first Contest together. And like May, you put everything you got on the line to make it all the way to the top! Your mom must be proud of you!" Kairi said in her thoughts.
In Twinleaf Town, Johanna and her Glameow are watching closely as Johanna is mighty proud of her daughter for her accomplishments.
"You see that, don't you, Glameow? From the very beginning, Dawn was the kind of girl who didn't have the proper preparations for traveling, but because of all her winnings, she's come a long way! I couldn't be any prouder!" Johanna said.
"Meow," Glameow purs in agreement.
The clock ran down to less than one minute.
"Less than a minute remaining!" Marian announced. Both of Dawn and Nando were gving each other everything they had.
"Buneary! Ice Beam! Cunyaquil! Flamethrower!" Dawn ordered. Buneary and Cyndaquil unleashed their attacks and they struck both of Kricketune and Sunflora. THe clock runs down to thirty seconds.
"Thirty seconds remaining! Both Dawn and Nando are giving us all quite a show!" Marian announced.
"Cyndaquil! Swift! Buneary! Use Dizzy Punch!" Dawn ordered. Cyndaquil unleashed Swift as Buneary gave a punch onto the stars, striking both of the cricket and sun Pokémon. Nando lost some more points as the clock is now down to fifteen seconds.
"Fifteen seconds remaining!" Marian announced.
"Kricketune! X-Scissor! Sunflora! Razor Leaf!" Nando ordered.
"Flamethrower and Ice Beam!" Dawn ordered. Both of Cyndaquil and Buneary unleashed their fire and ice attacks and merged together. They clashed as Nandio and Dawn were losing some more points. The clock ran down to ten seconds.
"Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one! And time!" Marian announced as all the Pokémon ceased their attacks.
"The judges are now evaluating the results of the battle!" The screen shows that Dawn has a little bit more points than Nando. "And the winner is Dawn! Now it is Dawn who will join Kairi on the final stage in the concluding double battle in the Sinnoh Grand Festival!" The crowd cheered on. Lucas was proud of his girlfriend for winning it. Nando went up to Dawn after calling back Sunflora and Kricketune.
"Thank you, Dawn, for that wonderful battle. I owe it all to you," Nando said.
"I enjoyed it just as much as you did, Nando. You're a real gifted Coordinator," Dawn said.
"As are you, Dawn," Nando said. Both of Dawn and Nando shook hands after a great battle.
Backstage, Dawn was brushing up for her next battle as Kairi was doing the same thing. Sora and Lucas, along with Pikachu went backstage to wish their girlfriends the best. Sora has exchanged Electrode for Cinderace since Kairi was going to use Lopunny for the match. Kairi and Angel were coming down for her battle when she sees her boyfriend.
"Sora, hi," Kairi greeted.
"Hi Kairi. Just wanted to wish my significant other luck," Sora said. Kairi smiled affectionatley.
"Thank you, Sora. I mean it. Why are you here with me and not with everyone else?" Kairi asked.
"I wanted to give you a little something before the final match," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Vee," Angel said. Sora took out Cinderace's Pokéball.
"And I have a someone else who wants to do the same for a certain Pokémon," Sora said, letting out Cinderace. Kairi lets out Lopunny. The rabbit Pokémon couple hugs each other. Cinderace and Lopunny nuzzles each other. The same for Pikachu and Angel. Sora and Kairi kisses each other on the lips. Sora's vision of a princess burned into his retinas. She looked very beautiful to him in the princess dress she wore during that play and during her previous contests. Kairi was lucky to have Sora as a boyfriend. Sora and Kairi parted lips as the Pokémon couples stopped nuzzling.
Over to Lucas, he catches up with Dawn. Lucas walked up to Dawn with a smile.
"Dawn, I swear you're even more beautiful everyt time I look at you," Lucas said. Dawn blushes.
"Thanks, Lucas. You always say that to me," Dawn said.
"Only because I mean it. Also, I wanted to give you a little something," Lucas said. Dawn smiled as Lucas gave Dawn a kiss on the lips. Dawn kisses Lucas back. Dawn and Lucas parted lips.
"Thank you, Lucas," Dawn said.
"You're welcome," Lucas said.
Kairi and Dawn got ready for the final battle in the Grand Festival.
"And now, it's the moment we've all been waiting for! All other Coordinators has been eliminated all except for two! On my left is Kairi! Kairi has earned her reputation in the Poké Maiden Tournament, and has won the Grand Festival held in the Hoenn region! And on my right it's Dawn! Dawn is the daughter of Top Coordinator Johanna, and she follows in her mother's footsteps as a Pokémon Coordinator! Both of these Coordinators has come so far since the beginning and now we are here to see once and for all who will bring home the wonderful Ribbon Cup!" Marian announced. The crowd cheered on as the two female Coordinators were rooting for either Kairi or Dawn. Cattleya and Mirei were anxious to see it just as much as the rest. The Digimon were all just as anxious. Sora had Cinderace out since Lopunny was coming out. On tv, Yuta and Kairi's grandmother was watching the event on tv. In Celestic Town, Lila was watching the event, as was Princess Salvia and Noctis. Elsewhere, Kenny is watching the event on tv. Paris and her Lopunny were watching the event on tv along with Madame Hermione. Both of Kairi and Dawn took out two Pokéballs each in Ball Capsules. Piplup and Buneary's had a Foamy Seal and a Party Seal as Kairi has two of hers in Ball Capsules with pink Heart Seals.
"This is it, Kairi. I watched you in the Hoenn Grand Festival and I am going to give it everything I got. But I plan on becoming a Top Coordinator just like my mother," Dawn said in her thoughts.
"Dawn, the last time this happened, you were just getting started, but after everything you did to get here, you're a whole lot stronger. May worked hard to get to where she is now and she did it all on her own. And you did it all on your own, too. Let's give them a Grand Festival finale no one would forget," Kairi said in her thoughts.
"Five minutes on the clock and begin!" Marian announced as the clock starts running.
"Go! Angel and Lopunny!" Kairi called out. Angel and Lopunny came out with pink hearts coming out. Angel and Lopunny does a pose, winking at Pikachu and Cinderace. Pikachu and CInderace were captivated.
"Piplup and Buneary! Spotlight!" Dawn called out. Piplup came out with a barrage of bubbles as Buneary came out in party confetti. They also do a pose for the audience.
"Eevee, Lopunny, Piplup, and Buneary all come out with striking poses!" Marian annouonced.
"Buneary! Use Bounce! Piplup! Use Peck!" Dawn ordered. Buneary and Piplup come at Angel and Buneary with Peck and Bounce.
"Angel! Use Iron Tail! Lopunny! Use Ice Punch!" Kairi ordered. Angel and Lopunny jumped to land an Ice Punch and Iron Tail. Both clashed each other, making each other lose some points.
"Kairi and Dawn gave each other a good start with Iron Tail, Ice Punch, Peck and Bounce! Talking about a real clash of power and grace!" Marian announced.
"Piplup! Use Bubble Beam! Buneary! Use Ice Beam!" Dawn ordered. Piplup unleashed Bubble Beam as Buneary fires Ice Beam, freezing the bubbles in the air.
"Buneary's Ice Beam freezes Piplup's Bubble Beam in the air! What a treat to see this again!" Marian announced.
"Lopunny! Use Triple Axel!" Kairi ordered. Lopunny's legs emitted ice and she lands three kicks on the frozen bubbles, making them pop. Dawn loses some points as Lopunny's movements come out very graceful. "Angel! Iron Tail!" Angel swings her Iron Tail on the bubbles, also making them pop. Angel also sparkled. Pikachu and Cinderace were lovestruck by their significant others' movements.
"Very lovely! Lopunny's Triple Axel came out quite lovely with those sparkles along with Eevee's Iron Tail! A combination of both beauty and cuteness!" Marian announced. Fantina stood up.
"Ooh la, la! Tres Bien! Such a lovely display of Ice and water, but in Kairi's favor!" Fantina said.
"Oh, how lovely," Cattleya said.
"It sure is" Biyomon, Palmon, and Gatomon agreed.
"Let's go all the way, Kairi!" Mirei cheered for her daughter.
"Come on, Kairi! Go!" Sora cheered for his girlfriend.
"You got this, Dawn!" Lucas cheered for his girlfriend.
"Piplup! Use Whirlpool!" Dawn ordered. Piplup jumps and forms a huge whirlpool above his head. Kairi lost some points in the process. "Now throw it!" Piplup threw the whirlpool and threw it right at Lopunny and Angel, sucking them inside. Kairi has been losing some points in the process.
"Dawn is making a comeback with that Whirlpool! Just a moment ago, Kairi was hacking at Dawn's points and now she's hacking away at hers!" Marian announced.
"Not bad, Dawn!" Kairi said. "You improved so much since our last battle!"
"Thanks a lot, Kairi! Now, Buneary! Ice Beam!" Dawn ordered. Buneary jumped and fired Ice Beam in the whirlpool, making it freeze with Angel and Lopunny inside it. The frozen whirlpool shatters as it sparkles, captivating the audience. Lopunny catches Angel and lands on her feet like a cat.
"What a miraculous save from Lopunny! Eevee and Lopunny are showing a display of teamwork and friendship!" Marian annoucned.
"Angel! Swift! Lopunny! Use High Jump Kick!" Kairi ordered. Angel unleashed Swift as Lopunny jumped and dove down at Buneary.
"Buneary! Bounce! Piplup! Hydro Pump!" Dawn ordered. Buneary jumps and lands a hit onto Lopunny as Piplup washes away Angel's Swift. Kairi has lost some points.
"Piplup and Buneary are also showing a display of friendship! Truly wonderful!" Marian announced.
"Lopunny! Triple Axel on Piplup! Angel! Use Headbutt on Buneary!" Kairi ordered. Lopunny ran towards Buneary with her legs emitting ice as Angel ran towards Buneary with Headbutt.
"Buneary! Dodge and use Dizzy Punch! Piplup! Use Peck!" Dawn ordered. Kairi has lost some points when Lopunny's Triple Axel missed. Angel and Piplup clashed their attacks, making each other lose some points.
"Wow! This is truly magnificent! Kairi and Dawn are throwing everything at each other!This is truly a finale worth remembering!" Marian announced as the clock is now down to three minutes.
"Angel! Use Swift! Lopunny! Use Triple Axel!" Kairi ordered. Lopunny leg's emitted ice and gave three kicks on the stars, striking Piplup and Buneary, making Dawn lose some points from the damage. "That's great! Angel! Use Quick Attack! Lopunny! Use High Jump Kick!" Angel ran across the battlefield as Lopunny jumped in the air and came down with her foot sticking out in front. Lopunny lands a kick onto Buneary as Angel lands a hit onto the penguin Pokémon. Dawn has lost some more points.
"Buneary! Dizzy Punch on Lopunny! Piplup! Peck on Angel!" Dawn ordered. Piplup lands a Peck on Angel asn Buneary gave a couple of punches on Lopunny. Kairi has lost some more points.
"Lopunny! Triple Axel on Piplup! Angel! Use Swift!" Kairi ordered. Lopunny lands three kicks on Piplup as he and Buneary are both struck by Swift.
"Lopunny lands a hit on Piplup with a dazzling Triple Axel as Eevee unleashes a lovely Swift!" Marian announced.
"Piplup! Use Whirlpool again!" Dawn ordered. Piplup forms a whirlpool again.
"Lopunny! Ice Punch!" Lopunny jumps and lands an Ice Punch on the whirlpool. "Now, use Triple Axel!" Lopunny gave three kicks on Piplup again. Dawn has lost some of her points from those kicks. "Angel! Quick Attack on Piplup! Lopunny! Ice Punch on Buneary!" Anel rushes at Piplup with Quick Attack as Lopunny comes at Buneary with Ice Punch.
"Piplup! Peck! Buneary! Dizzy Punch!" Dawn ordered. All the Pokémon rushed at each other and lands a blow, maing both Coordinators lose some points as we reach two minutes remaining.
"Now we're at the two minute warning! With this battle heating up, this will go either way!Kairi and Dawn aren't backing down even once!" Marian announced.
"Piplup! Peck again! And Buneary! Use Ice Beam!" Dawn ordered. Buneary fires Ice Beam at Piplup's beak and comes at Angel and Lopunny.
"And here's another new one! Piplup is coming at Eevee and Lopunny with an Ice Peck combo!" Marian announced.
"Angel! Iron Tail!" Kairi ordered. Angel jumped and lands an Iron Tail onto Piplup, canceling out Piplup's Ice Peck combo. Dawn loses some more points. "Now use Headbutt!" Angel lands a Headbutt onto Piplup, making Dawn lose some more points. "Lopunny! Use Ice Punch!" Lopunny lands an Ice Punch onto Piplup. Dawn has lost some more points.
"Buneary! Bounce and then use Dizzy Punch!" Dawn ordered. Buneary jumped in the air and comes down with Dizzy Punch.
"Lopunny! High Jump Kick!" Kairi ordered. Lopunny jumps and lands a kick onto Buneary, making Dawn lose some more points. Buneary lands a Dizzy Punch onto her evolved form. Kairi lost some points as the clock reads one minute left.
"One minute remaining and it's anybody's guess whose match it's going to be!" Marian announced.
"Buneary! Ice Beam! Piplup! Bubble Beam!" Dawn ordered. Piplup and Buneary unleashed Bubble Beam and Ice Beam at the same time. THey merged together the same way as their battle with Sakkakumon. Kairi has a little something for that.
"Angel! Use Swift and aim it at Lopunny! And Lopunny! Use Ice Punch!" Kairi ordered. Lopunny prepared Ice Punch as the stars swirls around her.
"Incredible! Eevee's Swift is going around Lopunny as it prepares to use Ice Punch!" Marian announced. The stars all turn light blue to match the ice. Lopunny sends the ice stars, cutting through Piplup and Buneary's combo attack and they alnd a hit onto both of Dawn's Pokémon. Dawn's points suffers bigtime. Swift was still swirling around Lopunny.
"Now, use Triple Axel!" Kairi ordered. Lopunny ran towards Lopunny and lands three icy kicks onto Piplup and Buneary. Dawn's points still go down. "Angel! Iron Tail! Lopunny! Use Ice Punch!" Angel and Lopunny lands a heavy hit onto Piplup and Buneary. It was now thirty seconds left.
"Piplup! Hydro Pump!" Dawn ordered. Piplup unleashed Hydro Pump right at the two Normal Types.
"Dodge!" Kairi called out. Lopunny grabbed Angel and jumps out of the way as Dawn has lost some more points. Lopunny makes a smooth landing as Hydro Pump has missed. Ten seconds are left. Piplup and Buneary come at their opponents to wrap it up. Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one; TIME!
"And time's up! Wow, this has been an exciting final match! Both of Kairi and Dawn has given us quite a show! And the winner of this year's Sinnoh reguion Grand Festival is-" Marian announced. The screen shows that Kairi has a little bit more points than Dawn dows. "And it's Kairi! She has made her second Grand Festival victory!" The crowd cheers hard for Kairi. Mirei was very proud of her daughter as she applauded along with everyone else. The FanBeemon were flying around cheering as were Pumpkinmon and Gotsumon.
Back in Twinleaf Town, Johanna was watching from start to finish and she felt sorry for her daughter that she didn't win first prize.
"She was so close. I am so very proud of you, Dawn," Johanna said.
Sora, Pikachu, and Cinderace were proud of Kairi, Angel, and Lopunny for their win.
"Way to go, Kairi!" Sora cheered.
"Pika, Pika!" Pikachu said.
"Cinderace!" Cinderace added.
Kairi stood alongside Dawn and Zoey as Kairi is being presented the Ribbon Cup.
"And now it's the head of our Pokémon Activities Committee, Mr. Contets presenting Kairi the prodigious Ribbon Cup to our lucky winner!" Marian announced.
"Congratulations, young lady. You and your Pokémon should be proud of the accomplishments you have earned. You are a gifted Pokémon Coordinator," Contesta said.
"Thank you, Mr. Contesta. I owe it all to my friends and family," Kairi said. Sora smiled as Fantina raises Kairi's hand.
"Tres Magnifique!' Fantina said, making Lisia laugh.
"And this is the end of our lovely Grand Festival! Kairi's name will go down in Sinnoh's history as a Top Coordinator! We are hoping to see you all here next year!" Marian announced.
Once the Grand Festival was over, Kairi and Dawn changed back into their regular clothes and rejoined their friends. Mirei went and embraced her daughter as did Cattleya.
"You were wonderful, Kairi!" Mirei said.
"Thanks, mom. It was because I had all of you," Kairi said.
"So now what?" Vorvomon asked.
"Sora has the Sinnoh Pokémon League," Agumon said.
"I wish you all the best luck, Sora. I'll be heading back home in Pallet Town. I'm going to place this right next to your other Ribbon Cup trophy," Mirei said.
"OKay, mom," Kairi said.
"And I'll be here rooting for you, Sora. I want to see you give it everything you have, Sora," Cattleya said.
"You are lucky to have such a supportive aunt, Sora," Lucas said. "But before we take off, I just want to say that I hope you and I will make it all the way to the final round since that's how I want it. So, don't you lose during the competition." Sora smiled.
"I plan on giving it my all, Lucas," Sora said, shaking hands. And with that said, they promised each otehr a goo battle when the time comes.
Now that the Grand Festival has concluded, it was almost time for the Sinnoh Pokémon League. Sora, Lucas, Barry, Nando, Raymond, Bobby, and even Paul are going to give it all they have to make it to the top. What will the outcome be? Just you wait and see.
