Episode 414: Sora vs Bede, Marnie, and Peonia
The Sinnoh Pokémon League has begun! Sora along with his rivals, Lucas, Barry, Paul, Raymond, Bobby, Marnie, Bede, and Peonia has made it through the qualifying rounds as did Conway, Nando, and many others. With a surprise start, Sora has been pinned against a trainer with a strange Pokémon called Genesect he says that he retrieved from Team Plasma with hopes of eliminating Sora from the tournament, but he managed to overcome this threat and manages to make it to the main competition. It was right there that he learns he will be battling against Bede, the Psychic Type user from Galar as his first main tournament opponent. It was only a matter of time of who was going to make it all the way to the final round, and who will not.
Night comes as Sora went over his strategy over Bede. He looked up his information on the computer and sees that Bede has a Gothitelle, a Reuniclus, and Hatterene.
"It looks like they evolved since the last time. Okay, Psychic Type Pokémon are weak against Dark, Ghost, and Bug Types. Okay, there's Gengar, but the problem is he's also a Poison Type, so can't risk it. Scizor is a good choice since Hatrene is a Psychic Type and a Fairy Type. Umbreon, Incineroar, Sableye, Raticate, and others," Sora said. He thought for a second and then he made up his mind. He sent over Heatran, Rillaboom, and Inteleon for Umbreon, Scizor, and Shedinja. Sora figured Shedinja would be his secret weapon for an emergency.
Over to Bede, he has made up his mind on who to use: Gothitelle, Reuniclus, and Hatterene. He grinned.
"There, my plan is complete. It shall be foolproof," Bede said.
Fireworks goes off as the first section of the main tournament was about to begin.
"Ladies and gentlemen, we are happy to bring you our first battle of the day! The sparks shall be flying from this exciting tournament! First, we have Raymond who comes from Vaniville Town in the Kalos region, against Marnie from Spikemuth in the Galar region! During this secton of the tournament, both trainers will be battling using three Pokémon. Substitutions are permitted anytime, and the battle is over when all three of either trainer's Pokémon are unable to continue battling!" The announcer announced as Raymond and Marnie entered the battlefield. Both trainer got set to choose their Pokémon. The referee enters and the battlefield.
"Trainers, choose your Pokémon and begin!" The referee instructed. Both of Raymond and Marnie each took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Emboar!" Raymond called out, letting out his Emboar.
"Go! Scrafty!" Marnie called out. Her Scrafty emerged from inside and waited for Marnie's orders.
"Two Fighting Types against each other, so this should be loads of fun to watch," Gomamon said.
"Yeah, but Scrafty is a Dark Type, so that Emboar has the upperhand in this one," Riku said.
"Vee," Eevee said.
"Marnie has the first move!" The referee announced.
"Scrafty! Start things up with Thunder Punch!" Marnie ordered. Scrafty comes at the mega fire pig Pokémon with Thunder Punch.
"Emboar! Dodge and use Arm Thrust!" Raymond ordered. Emboar dodges Scrafty and comes at Scrafty with Arm Thrust.
"Dodge and use Crunch!" Marnie ordered. Scrafty avoids Emboar's Arm Thrust and lands a Crunch onto Emboar's right arm.
"Scrafty has avoided Emboar's Arm Thrust and moves right in for a Crunch! That has got to hurt!" The announcer announced.
"Emboar! Shake Scrafty off and use Power-Up Punch!" Raymond ordered. Emboar swings off Scrafty and moves in to land a Power-Up Punch.
"Dodge and use Thunder Punch!" Marnie ordered. Scrafty avoids Emboar's Power-Up Punch and lands a Thunder Punch in the gut.
"Once again, Scrafty has landed a hit on Emboar! The battle has barley even started, and Marnie has already taken control of the battle!" The announcer announced. Marnie calls back Scrafty. "Now, Marnie is recalling Scrafty! What does she have planned?" The referee asked. Marnie took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Grimmsnarl!" Marnie called out. Her Grimmsnarl has emerged from his Pokéball and let out a snarl.
"Marnie's second Pokémon is a Grimmsnarl!" The announcer announced.
"Spirit Break!" Marnie ordered. Grimmsnarl comes at Emboar and delivers Spirit Break on his opponent. "Now, use Play Rough!" Grimmsnarl leaps at Emboar and beat her senseless.
"Grimmsnarl is now giving Emboar a heavy hitting Play Rough! And Grimmsnarl knows how to play rough!" The referee announced. Grimmsnarl stops beating up Emboar and the mega fire pig Pokémon is down for the count. The referee raises the green flag.
"Emboar is unable to battle! Grimmsnarl wins!" The referee announced.
"Marnie takes the lead in this bout! Raymond has better come up with a plan before she mops the floor with him!" The announcer announced. Raymond calls back Emboar and took out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Greninja!" Raymond called out. Greninja came out to battle.
"Raymond's second Pokémon is a Greninja! Both trainers are now using Dark Types!" The announcer annoucned.
"This is bad for Raymond. Grimmsnarl is a Fairy Type," Terra said.
"Clearly Raymond knew that, what is he planning?" Aqua asked.
"Grimmsnarl! Spirit Break!" Marnie ordered. Grimmsnarl moves in to deliever another Spirit Break onto the ninja frog Pokémon.
"Greninja! Use Water Shuriken!" Raymond ordered. Greninja forms shurikens from water and threw them at Grimmsnarl and lands good clean hits. "Now, use Aerial Ace!" Greninja darts at Grimmsnarl with lightning fast speed.
"Greninja is making good use of its speed and agility! Clearly a good choice on Raymond's part!" The announcer announced.
"I see now. It's because of Grninja's speed. Raymond must have figured Grimmsnarl would be too slow," Terra said.
"Grimmsnarl! Bulk Up and then Play Rough!" Marnie ordered. Grimmsnarl builds up his muscles and then brings up his power. Grimmsnarl comes right towards Greninja with Play Rough.
"Greninja! Get ready and and dodge at the last minute," Raymons said. Greninja waited until Grimmsnarl was close enough. Greninja attempted to dodge, but Grimmsnarl grabbed him by the foot.
"Uh-oh! Grimmsarl must have some fast reflexes, because Greninja is in trouoble!" The announcer announced. Grimmsnarl starts to beat up Greninja senseless. "And Grimmsnarl is really giving it to Greninja with that Play Rough!" Grimmsnarl stops beating up Greninja and is on the ground beaten. The referee raises the green flag.
"Greninja is unable to battle! Grimmsnarl wins!" The referee announced.
"So much for Raymond's comeback! Marnie has taken down two of Raymond's Pokémon, and it might go her way!" The announcer announced. Raymond calls back Greninja and took out one more Pokéball and then he threw it.
"Go! Chesnaught!" Raymond called out. Chesnaught came on out to battle against Grimmsnarl.
"Raymond's final Pokémon is his Chesnaught! This would be his third Fighting Type, but it's at a disadvantage since being a Fairy Type!" The announcer announced.
"Chesnaught! Needle Arm!" Raymond ordered. Chesnaught comes at Grimmsnarl with Needle Arm, ready to go.
"Grimmsnarl! Bulk Up!" Marnie ordered. Grimmsnarl bulked up and took the hit.
"That looks like that did so little damage!" The announcer announced.
"That's because Bulk Up increases both attack and defense," Riku said.
"Very useful," the Dracomon Brothers said.
"Grimmsnarl! Use Darkest Lariat!" Marnie ordered. Grimmsnarl spins around with both his hands giving off a daark aura. Grimmsnarl lands a heavy blow onto Chesnaught. "Now, use Spirit Break!" Grimmsnarl gave Chesnaught a heavy hit with Spirit Break.
"Grimmsnarl comes at Chesnaught with a combo of Darkest Lariat and Spirit Break! This match might be over!" The announcer announced.
"Play Rough!" Marnie ordered. Grimmsnarl comes at Chesnaught and lands a series of hits onto the spiny armor Pokémon. "Now, use Spirit Break!" Grimmsnarl gave Chesnaught one more hit with Spirit Break and Chesnaught on his back, beaten. The referee raises the green flag.
"Chesnaught is unable to battle! Grimmsnarl wins! Marnie from Spikemuth wins the battle!" The referee announced.
"Wow! A perfect attendence victory on Marnie's part! She did it with losing a single Pokémon, and she used only two of hers!" The referee announced.
"That Marnie's good," Vorvomon said.
"She's even better than I thought," Riku said. "I know Sora's not going to find this easy."
A few battles has taken place as Barry, Lucas, and Paul has eliminated some of the competition. It was now Bobby against Peonia.
"And now, we're down to our next battle! It's Bobby who hails from Accumula Town versus Peonia! We're all thrilled to see what kind of battle we're all anxious to see!" The announcer announced.
"Trainers! Choose your Pokémon and begin!" The referee announced.
"Go! Golurk!" Bobby called out. Golurk came on out to battle against Peonia. She took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Tyrantrum!" Peonia called out. Tyrantrum came on out to battle.
"Bobby starts off with Golurk, a Ground and Ghost Type, against the prehistoric Pokémon, Tyrantrum, a Rock and Dragon Type!" The announcer announced.
"Look like Bobby did his homework. He knows for certain Golurk has the edge over Peonia's team," Aqua said. Cattleya looked at the bluenette.
"What do you mean, Aqua?" Cattleya asked.
"Peonia's entire team are prehistoric Pokémon, but they're all Rock Types. So, Bobby is using his Golurk to deal with her team," Aqua said.
"Bobby has the first move!" The referee announced.
"Golurk! Start things up with High Horse Power!" Bobby ordered. Golurk comes at the tyrannosaurus rex-like Pokémon with a great force of its body.
"Tryrantrum! You use High Horse Power, too!" Peonia ordered. Tyrantrum charges right at Golurk with High Horsepower and they clash at one another. Golurk and Tryrantrum breaks the clash and stood their ground.
"Golurk and Tyrantrum's High Horsepower attacks are both evenly matched!" The announcer announced.
"Golurk! Use Shadow Punch!" Bobby ordered. Golurk gave Tyrantrum a showdy punch in the face. "Again and again!" Golurk delievers a series of Shadow Punches onto Tyrantrum.
"Golurk is really letting Tyrantrum have with Shadow Punch! How will Peonia be able to hold up?" The annnouncer asked.
"Tyrantrum! Use Crunch!" Peonia ordered. Tyrantrum lands a huge bite onto Golurk's arm. "Now, use Dragon Claw!" Tyrantrum slashes at Golurk with Dragon Claw.
"Tyrantrum's making a huge comeback with Crunch and Dragon Claw!" The announcer announced. Peonia calls back Tyrantrum and takes out another Pokéball. "Peonia's making a switch right this minute!" Peonia took out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Archeops!" Peonia called out. Archeops came flying out.
"Peonia's second Pokémon is her Archeops! A good switch!" The annoucner announced.
"She switches with that flying chicken?" Vorvomon asked.
"I say that's a smart move. Archeops isn't affected by Ground Type moves," Riku said.
"Use Dragon Breath!" Peonia ordered. Archeops unleashed Dragon Breath and it struck Golurk, paralyzing it. "Now, use Dragon Claw!" Archeops lands a heavy blow with Dragon Claw. "Wrap it up with Wing Attack!" Archeops lands a finishing blow with Wing Attack. Golurk is down for the count. The referee raises the green flag.
"Golurk is unable to battle! Archeops wins!" The referee annoounced.
"Peonia takes the lead, leaving Bobby in the dust!" The announcer announced. Bobby calls back Golurk and took out his next Pokéball.
"Okay! Your turn now, Simipour!" Bobby called out. Simipour came out to battle Archeops.
"Bobby's second Pokémon is his Simipour! A Water Type Pokémon with a huge advantage!" The announcer announced. Peonia switches Pokémon as well. "Now, it's Peonia who's making the switch!" She took out her next Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Aurorus!" Peonia called out.
"And we see Peonia's third Pokémon, Aurorus!" The referee announced.
"This should be easy! Simipour! Use Water Pulse!" Bobby ordered. Simipour forms a ball of water and hurls it right at Aurorus.
"Block that with Ice Beam!" Peonia ordered. Aurours unleashed Ice Beam and it freezes it, maing it shatter.
"Aurorus blocks Water Pulse with Ice Beam! A pretty good save!" The announcer announced.
"Now, use Thunderbolt!" Peonia ordered. Aurorus unleashed Thunderbolt, and it shocks Simipour hard.
"Peonia takes advantage of Simipour's vulnerability to electricity with Thunderbolt!!" The announcer announced.
"Looks like there was nothing to worry about since Aurous can use Electric Type moves," Dawn said.
"Man, if I knew this was going to happen, I should have used Krookodile for this!" Bobby said, kicking himself. "Okay, Simipour! Come at Aurorus with Brick Break!" Simpour heads right towards Aurorus with Brick Break.
"Aurorus! Use Sheer Cold!" Peonia ordered. Aurous unleashed a freezing cold wave and it causes heavy damage onto Simipour.
"And that's a brutal blow on Simipour with Sheer Cold! Super-effective on Water Types!" The announcer announced.
"Finish it with Thunderbolt!" Peonia ordered. Aurous finihses Simipour with Thunderbolt and struck it hard.Simipour fell on the ground, faced down and beaten. The referee raises the green flag.
"Simipour is unable to battle! Aurorus wins! The winner is Peonia!" The referee announced.
"And Peonia makes her first win here in the Sinnoh Pokémon League! Our next battle shall begin momentarily!" The announcer announced.
"It's Sora's turn next, right?" Ventus asked.
"He should be. I can't wait to see what Sora has planned for this battle," Agumon said.
After a few minutes of waiting, Sora and Bede enter the stadium's battlefield and gets set. Cattleya readies the video camera once again. Many of the girls in the stadium were cheering wildly for Sora to win.
"Ladies and gentlemen, we now bring you to our next battle! Here we have the Pokémon League Champion of Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn, Sora 'Kingdom Hearts' Ketchum from Pallet Town in the Kanto region, against the Psychic Type user, Bede! It could be anyone's guess on whose battle it will be! And judging how this crowd is going, it is clear that Sora is the favorite to win this! But it might be Bede who will bring home the gold today! And that's what we're here to find out!" The announcer announced.
"Choose your Pokémon and begin!" The referee announced. Bede took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Gothitelle!" Bede called out. Gothitelle came out to battle against Sora. Sora took out a Pokéball and prepares to throw it.
"So, it's a Gothitelle! And I know who to use first! Go! Scizor!" Sora called out. Scizor came on out to battle against Gothitelle.
"Sora has cmae prepared since he's using a Bug Type against Gothitelle!" The announcer announced.
"Sora has the first move!" The referee announced.
"Scizor! Use Metal Claw!" Sora ordred. Scizor starts charging towards Gothitelle. Bede smirked.
"Nice try! Gothitelle! Dodge it!" Bede ordered. Gothitelle avoids Scizor's Metal Claw. "Now, use Psybeam!" Gothitelle unleashed Psybeam and it struck Scizor on the mark.
"Bede isn't afraid of Bug Types! It might be harder than he thought to go against him!" The announcer announced.
"Now, use Rock Tomb to slow down Scizor!" Bede ordered. Gothitell uses Rock Tomb to slow down Scizor. Rocks emerges from the ground, going around Scizor. The rocks struck Scizor hard.
"Gothitelle makes good use of Rock Tomb, landing a blow onto Scizor!" The announcer announced.
"Scizor! Use Night Slash!" Sora ordered. Scizor heads right towards Gothitelle and lands a hit with NIght Slash.
"Scizor makes a comeback with Night Slash!That was a super-effective hit!" The announcer announced.
"Now, use Metal Claw!" Ordered. Scizor lands another Metal Claw onto Gothitelle.
"Gothitelle! Use Psychic!" Bede ordered. Gothitell lifts Scizor up with Psychic and slams him to the ground. Scizor wasn't going down that easily. Scizor stands back up on his feet.
"Scizor! Night Slash! Sora ordered. Scizor lands a hit with Night Slash. "Now use X-Scissor!" Scizor lands a brutal hit with X-Scissor.
"Scizor is giving Gothitelle a series of heavy blows with Night Slash and X-Scissor! Bede is in a real bind now!" The announcer announced. Sora calls back Scizor and took out his next Pokéball and threw it. "Sora is making an early switch! Which one is her going with next?"
"Go! Umbreon!" Sora called out. Umbreon came on out to battle against Gothitelle.
"And it's Umbreon against Gothitelle!" The announcer announced.
"Umbreon! Use Feint Attak!" Sora ordered. Umbreon vanishes for a moment and then lands a hit onto Gothitelle, earning a knockout. The referee raises the green flag.
"Gothitelle is unable to battle! Umbreon wins!" The referee announced.
"Sora takes the lead in this battle! Bede is now down to two more in reserves!" The announcer announced. Bede calls back Gothitelle and he took out his next Pokéball.
"This is an unexpected turn. I have just the one to use next. Go! Rapidash!" Bede called out. A Galrian Rapidash came on out to battle.
"Bede's next Pokémon is a Galarian Rapidash! Since it's a Fairy Type as well as a Psychic Type, Umbreon is at a disadvantage!" The announcer announced. Sora calls back Umbreon and took out Scizor's Pokéball.
"Scizor! Back to action!" Sora called out. Scizor came back out to battle.
"And Sora sends his Scizor back out to battle against Rapidash!" The announcer announced.
"Scizor! Use Metal Claw!" Sora ordered. Scizor comes at Rapidash with Metal Claw.
"Rapidash! Use Drill Run!" Bede ordered. Rapidash charges at Scizor with Drill Run. Scizor missed Rapidash, as the unique horn Pokémon lands a hit with Drill Run.
"Scizor takes a pretty bad hit with Drill Run!" The announcer announced.
"Now, use Zen Headbutt!" Bede ordered. Rapidash lands a hit with Zen Headbutt, landing a heavy blow.
"It looks like Bede is making a comeback with Zen Headbutt! What else could he have in store for Sora?" The announcer asked.
"Dazzling Gleam!" Bede ordered. Rapidash unleashed Dazzling Gleam and it struck Scizor on the mark. Scizor is down for the count as the referee raises the red flag.
"Scizor is unable to battle! Rapidash wins!" The referee announced. Sora calls back Scizor.
"Bede gives a dent onto Sora's lead as they're tied to two Pokémon each! It can be anyone's guess whose way it's going to go!" The announcer announced.
"Man, this isn't what I planned. I got to think fast. It's still too soon to let out Shedinja. I have to play my cards right with Umbreon," Sora said to himself. He took out Umbreon's Pokéball and threw it. "Umbreon! Back to action!" Umbreon came back out to battle.
"And Sora sends Umbreon back out to battle! Rapidash still has the advantage in Types over Umbreon, so Sora can only hope for the best!" The announcer announced.
"Let's end this quick! Rapidash! Dazzling Gleam!" Bede ordered.
"Umbreon! Feint Attack!" Sora ordered. Umbreon vanishes just when Rapidash unleashed Dazzling Gleam.
"Rapidash missed its mark with Dazzling Gleam!" The announcer announced. Umbreon reappears and lands a hit with Feint Attack. "And Umbreon lands a good hit with Feint Attack!"
"Rapidash! Use Drill Run!" Bede ordered. Rapidash charges at the moonlight Pokémon with its horn sticking out.
"Umbreon! Dark Pulse!" Sora ordered. Umbreon unleashed Dark Pulse and it lands a hit with Dark Pulse. "Now, Quick Attack!" Umbreon lands a hit with Quick Attack. Rapidash goes right against a wall.
"And Umbreon delievers its opponent with a heavy Quick Attack! But can it still go on?" The announcer asked. Rapidash tries to stand back up, but fell on the ground, beaten. The referee raises the green flag.
"Rapidash is unable to battle! Umbreon wins!" The referee announced.
"Umbreon takes down Rapidash! Now that the battle is now two to one, it might be Sora's battle after all!" The announcer announced.
"Not if I have anything to say about it," Bede said, taking out his third Pokéball. "Go! Hatterene!" Bede called out, letting out his Hatterene.
"Bede's final Pokémon is his Hatterene! Another Psychic and Fairy Type Pokémon to counter Sora's Umbreon!" The announced.
"Psychic Types are one thing, but with Pokémon that are also Fairy Types is a perfect balance," Terra said.
"That means, Sora might find trouble against Hatterene if he isn't carfeul," Kairi said.
"Umbreon! Use Dark Pulse!" Sora ordered.
"Hatterene! Dodge and use Dazzling Gleam!" Bede ordered. Hatterene avoids Umbreon's Dark Pulse and launches Dazzling Gleam onto the Dark Type Eeveelution.
"That's a heavy hit with Hatterene's Dazzling Gleam attack! Can Umbreon still keep going after taking that hit?" The announcer asked. Umbreon barely stands back up on his feet. "And Umbreon is still standing!"
"Dazzling Gleam again!" Bede ordered. Hatterene unleashed another Dazzling Gleam and it struck Umbreon, earning a knockout. The referee raises the red flag.
"Umbreon is unable to battle! Hatterene wins!" The referee announced.
"And Umbreon is now down for the count! Both trainers are down to one Pokémon left in preserve! Which one will Sora choose next?" The annnouncer asked. Sora calls back Umbreon and took out Shedinja's Pokéball.
"Here goes! Go! Shedinja!" Sora called out. The Pokéball opens and Shedinja came right out to battle.
"And Sora's final Pokémon is his Shedinja, a Bug and Ghost Type!" The announcer announced.
"Sora's secret weapon!" Kairi said. Everyone all looked right at her.
"Secret weapon? That bug?" Vorvomon asked.
"Hatterene! Use Dazzling Gleam!" Bede ordered. Hetterene unleashed Dazzling Gleam, but it does nothing on Shedinja.
"Hatterene's Dazzling Gleam does nothing on Shedinja!" The announcer announced.
"Why didn't that attack do a thing?" Patamon asked.
"I see now! It's Wonder Gaurd!" Riku said.
"What's Wonder Gaurd?" Tentomon asked.
"Wonder Gaurd is an ability that is excusive to Shedinja. Inly moves that Shedinja''s weak against can touch it!" Riku explained.
"Dammit! How could I have forgotten about Wonder Gaurd? And to make matters worse, Hatterene doesn't know any moves that has an effect on it!" Bede exclaimed in his thoughts.
"Shedinja! Use Shadow Sneak!" Sora ordered. Shedinja extends its shadow and it struck Hatterene on the mark. "Now use Shadow Ball!" Shedinja hurls Shadow Ball right at Hatterene, landing another hit.
"Hatterene is taking a bad beating from Shedinja's onslaught! And with Shedinja's Wonder Gaurd ability, what can Bede do?" The announcer asked.
"Psybeam!" Bede ordered.
"Shadow Sneak!" Sora ordered. Shedinja's shadow sneaks underneath Hatterene again and gives heavy damage onto her. "Now, use Shadow Claw!" Shegina forms a claw made of shadow and ladns a hit onto Hatterene. "Now, use Hex!" Shedinja unleashed Hex and it struck Hatterene, and she fell in the ground, beaten. The referee raises the green flag.
"Hatterene is unable to battle! Shedinja wins! Sora wins the battle!" The referee announced.
"Bede is out, and Sora is still in! He makes it big on his very first win!" The announcer announced. Bede calls back his fallen Hatterene. He smiled.
"You did your best, Hatterene. That's all I can ask of you. Get yourself a good long rest," Bede said. He looked right at Sora. "I can see why you're a Pokémon League Champion, Sora. But we shall see how well you go during the tournament," Bede said, taking his leave.
The tournament goes on as Yuffie and Tidus has beaten their opponents in the Sinnoh Pokémon League. Yuffie has taken down a Torracat with Accelgor as Tidus's Heatmor has brought down an Alolan Golem.
"Now that the first series of battling has concluded, we are now setting on who's going to be up against who tomorrow! And the trainers battling each other are-" The announcer announced, allowing the computer make the selections. It turns out that Sora will be battling Peonia as Lucas will be battling Nando. "And here are the results! The tournament shall continue on tomorrow, so we will see all of you there tomorrow!" Everyone all went to the all-you-can-eat-buffet to celebrate Sora's victory.
"I have to say, Sora, the way you battled, it's almost you had a Victini on your side," Cattleya said.
"And I can bet my money mom, uncle Danny, and everyone else is probably telling the whole neighborhood right now," Sora said.
"That was very impressive, Sora. Yu amazed us all," Agunimon said.
"What do you have planned for Peonia?" Kazemon asked. Sora thought about it for a moment, and he figured he couold use his Fighting Types. So, Hitmonchan because of Thunder Punch and Mach Punch. Grapploct would also be a good choice. Then again, there's Steelix.
"I got some ideas," Sora said. The group all celebrated by eating until they were stuffed than a Thanksgiving turkey. After the meal has concluded, Sora sent over Shedinja, Umbreon, and Scizor for Steelix, Hitmonchan, and Grapploct.
On the very next day, Lucas and Nando were having their battle before Sora and Peonia.
"And now it's Lucas from Twinleaf Town against Nando! Lucas is a first time contender here in our stadium as Nando has come up on the Top four in the Sinnoh Grand Festival, but we will see how well these two will go!" The announcer announced. Lucas and Nando each took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Roserade! Let's go!" Nando called out. Roserade came on out on the battlefield.
"Go! Staraptor!" Lucas called out. Staraptor takes flight.
"Nando has the first move! And begin!" The referee declared.
"Roserade! Sweet Scent!" Nando ordered. Roserade sends out a sweet smelling scent.
"Up!" Lucas called out. Staraptor flies up to avoid Sweet Scent, but it came too fast for Staraptor to dodge.
"Roserade's Sweet Scent has affected Staraptor's movements!" The announcer announced.
"Now, use Magical Leaf!" Nando ordered. Roserade unleashed Magical Leaf and it struck Staraptor hard. Staraptor fell right on the ground. "Now, use Solar Beam!" Roserade prepares to unleash Solar Beam.
"Look out, becuase Nando is moving in for the big finish!" The announcer announced.
"Get up, Starpator! Hurry!" Lucas called out. Staraptor struggles to stand back up on his feet. Roserade fires Solar Beam, forcing Staraptor right into the air. "Use Brave Bird!" Staraptor charges right at Roserade while surrounded in an eagel-shaped aura.
"Dodge it, Roserade! Hurry!" Nando called out. Roserade tried to dodge, but Staraptor came too fast for Roserae to dodge. Staraptor suffers recoil damage from that Brave Bird. The bouquet Pokémon was down and out as the referee raises the green flag.
"Roserade is unable to battle! Staraptor wins!' The referee announced.
"Lucas gets the first score!" The announcer announced. Nando calls back his fallen Roserade and smiled.
"Way to go, Lucas!" Dawn cheered for her boyfriend.
"Thank you, my friend. Get yourself a good rest," Nando said. He took out another Pokéball and threw it. "Armaldo! Go forth!" Nando threw it and out his Armaldo came.
"And Nando's second Pokémon is Armaldo!" The announcer announced. Lucas looked right at Staraoptor and saw how beat he was after using Brave Bird.
"Staraptor is in bad shape from using BraveBird! I have to risk it! Staraptor! Use Aerial Ace!" Starptor darts right at Armaldo.
"Rock Blast!" Nando ordered. Armaldo uneashed Rock Blast and struck Staraptor and takes heavy damage due to his weakness to Rock Type attacks. The referee raises the red flag.
"Staraptor is unable to battle! Armaldo wins!" The referee announced.
"Nando makes a strong comeback with Rock Blast!" The announcer announced.
"Nando must have known Lucas would be using Staraptor to counter both his Bug and Grass Types," Terra said.
"So using Armaldo, who is both a Rock and a Bug Type," Aqua added.
"And isn't Armaldo a prehistoric Pokémon?" Gabumon asked.
"It is," Naminé said.
"Azurill," Azurill chirped.
Lucas took out a Pokéball and he tossed it.
"Go! Floatzel!" Lucas called out as Floatzel came right out to battle.
"And Lucas's second Pokémon is his Floatzel! Lucas has made the right choice with a Water Type Pokémon!" The announcer announced.
"Aw, countering my Armaldo with a Water Type. An impressive strategy," Nando said.
"Floatzel! Use Aqua Jet!" Lucas ordered. Floatzel came at the plate Pokémon.
"Protect!" Nando ordered. Armaldo forms a protective barrier. Aqua Jet bounces right at off. "Now, use X-Scissor!" Armaldo comes at Floatzel with X-Scissor.
"Aqua Jet!" Lucas ordered. Floatzel comes right at Armaldo and the two of them clashed. Floatzel overpowers Armaldo's X-Scissor and lands a hit with Aqua Jet.
"Floatzel muscles in on Armaldo's X-Scissor with Aqua Jet!" The announcer announced.
"Now, use Ice Punch!" Lucas ordered. Floatzel ordered. Floatzel lands a strong Ice Punch and it freezes Armaldo solid. "Hydro Pump!" Floatzel unleashed Hydro Pump right at Armaldo and has earned a knockout. The referee raises the green flag.
"Armaldo is unable to battle! Floatzel wins!" The referee announced.
"Lucas pushes back Nando by taking out Armaldo! Nando now has one left to use!" The announcer announced. Nando took out his last Pokébal and threw it.
"Kricketune! Let's go!" Nando called out. Kricketune came on out to battle.
"Nando's third and final Pokémon is Kricketune!" The announcer announced.
"Kricketune! Use Sing!" Nando ordered. Kricketune rubs its sickles together and plays a tune, and makes several music notes appear. It makes Floatzel fall right to sleep.
"And now Floatzel is fast asleep!" The announcer announced.
"Kricketune! Use Fury Cutter!" Nando ordered. Kricketune comes at Floatel and lands a slash onto the sea weasel Pokémon, earning a knockout. The referee raises the red flag.
"Floatzel is unable to battle! Kricketune wins!" The referee announced.
"Both trainers are down to one Pokémon remaining! Now who will make it through to the final round of the tournament?" The announcer asked. Lucas calls back Floatzel and took out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Arcanine!" Lucas called out. Arcanine howls upon entry.
"Lucas's third Pokémon is Arcanine!" The announcer announced.
"Arcanine! use Fire Fang!" Lucas ordered. Arcanine comes at Kricketune with Fire Fang.
"Kricketune! Use Sing!" Nando ordered. Kricketune uses Sing on Arcanine and makes it fall asleep.
"Nando uses Sing to put Arcanine right to sleep! A good counter on Fire Type Pokémon!" The announcer announced. Lucas grinned.
"Right in my hands. Arcanine! Sleep Talk!" Lucas ordered. Arcanine ran towards Kricketune and lands a hit.
"That was Extreme Speed," Meowth said.
"How did Arcanine use that move even while asleep?" Agumon asked.
"Arcanine used Sleep Talk. When asleep Arcanine can use one of his moves out of random," Kairi said.
"Clever," Riku said.
"Ah, Lucas came prepared for my Kricketune's Sing with Sleep Talk. Well played," Nando said. Arcanine woke right up.
"Arcanine! Use Flame Charge!" Lucas ordered. Arcanine ran towards Kricketune with Flame Charge.
"Arcanine makes good use of its speed with Flame Charge! That'll increase its speed when it successfully lands a hit!" The announcer announced.
"Dodge!" Nando called out. Kricketune tried to dodge, but Arcanine was too fast to avoid. Kricketune goes flying in the air.
"Now, use Extreme Speed!" Lucas ordered. Arcanine dashed right at Kricketune and lands another hit.
"Kricketune tries to get away, but Arcanine is way too fast to get away from!" The announcer announced.
"Now, use Fire Fang!" Lucas ordered. Arcanine heads towards Kricketune and lands a feiry bite into Kricketune, earning a knockout. The referee the green flag.
"Kricketune is unable to battle! Arcanine wins! The winner is Lucas from Twinleaf Town!" The referee announced. The crowd cheered as Lucas has won.
After the battle, Sora was preparing for his battle with Peonia when he spotted Nando along with Lucas and Dawn. Lucas and Nando shook hands.
"That was a gloarious battle, Lucas. I have truly enjoyed it," Nando said.
"So did I, Nando," Lucas said.
"I'm sure you did," Sora said, walking in. Kairi also walks in. "You guys had fun and that's what's important."
"He's right. It was quite an experience," Kairi said.
"So now the tournament's over for you, what will you do now?" Sora asked.
"I shall continue on my travels and train. I shall continue competing in Gym battles and Contests," Nando said.
"I hope we meet again someday," Lucas said.
"And each one of us would like to have a battle with you again," Dawn said.
"Thank you, my friends. I am looking forward to the day we meet again. And when we do meet again, I shall be stronger than I am now. But until then, I shall sing of your accomplishments, Sora, Kairi, Lucas, and Dawn," Nando said. He sang, "It is goodbye for now!" He took his leave of the tournament grounds. Sora and Kairi did hoped to see him again.
It was now time for Sora and Peonia's battle. Elsewhere on the Crown Tundra, a tall man with tan skin who looks very similar to ChairmanRose. He wore a home-made Expedition Outfit and has grey hair with a short, black beard. He was watching on TV.
"Come on, Nia! I know you can win it!" The man said. Chairman Rose walked in along with Oleana.
"That's just like you, little brother. A father's love for one's child is a precious thing," Rose said.
"Rose. Hello there, big brother. And hello there, Oleana. Still lovely as ever," Rose's brother complimented.
"Hello, Peony," Oleana said.
"You would never guess who my baby is up against! it's Sora Ketchum from Kanto!" Peony said. Rose smiled.
"I see. This should be enjoyable," Rose said. Oleana hasn't forgotten how Sora turned down the offer Rose has given him. She stood by his side no matter what.
Back to the stadium, Sora and Peonia has entered the battlefield and ready to go.
"And now it's time for our next battle! It's Sora Ketchum, the Pokémon League Champion of Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn, versus, Peonia, the daughter of former Galar Champion Peony, and the niece of Galar's Pokémon League Chairman, Rose, Peonia!" The announcer annoucned. The crowd cheered for both sides. Both trainers took out a Pokéball and threw them.
"Go! Carracosta!" Peonia called out.
"Go! Hitmonchan!" Sora called out.
Carracosta and Hitmonchan both came out right at the same time.
"Peonia starts off with Carracosta, and Sora starts up with Hitmonchan! Sora has the upperhand since he's using a Fighting Type Pokémon!" The announer announced.
"Sora has the first move!" The referee announced.
"Hitmonchan! Use Mach Punch!" Sora ordered. Hitmonchan ran towards Carracosta with his fist ready to land a punch.
"Carracosta! Protect!" Peonia ordered. Carracosta forms a protective barrier around itself and Mach Punch bounces right off.
"Carracosta makes a good start by using Protect!" The announcer announced.
"Use Brine!" Peonia ordered. Carracosta spews a strong water attack right at the punching Pokémon.
"Dodge and use Thunder Punch!" Sora ordered. Hitmonchan avoids Brine and lands a hit with Thunder Punch.
"Hitmonchan makes clocks a punch with Thunder Punch!" The announcer announced.
"Carracosta! Use Aqua Tail!" Peonia ordered. Carracosta swings its tail emitting water.
"Dodge and use another Thunder Punch!" Sora ordered. Hitmonchan avoids Hitmonchan avoids Carracosta's Aqua Tail and came at the prototurtle Pokémon with Thunder Punch.
"Protect!" Peonia ordered. Carracosta uses Protect to block Thunder Punch. "Now, use Aqua Tail!" Carracosta swings its tail at Hitmonchan again.
"Dodge and use Mach Punch!" Sora ordered. Hitmonchan avoids Aqua Tail and lands a punch onto Carracosta. "Now use Thunder Punch!" Hitmonchan gives Carracosta an uppercut with Thunder Punch.
"Hitmonchan has landed a couple of punched onto Carracosta! Peonia has better come up a good hit and soon!" The announcewr announced.
"Aqua Tail!" Peonia ordered. Carrasosta swings at Hitmonchan and lands a hit. "Now, use Crunch!" Carracota lands a strong bite on the punching Pokémon. Sora calls back Hitmonchan and took out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Grapploct!" Sora called out. Grapploct came out to battle.
"Aqua Tail!" Peonia ordered. Carracosta came at the jujitsu Pokémon.
"Grapploct! Use Octolock!" Sora ordered. Grapploct blocked with his tentacles.
"Grapploct is taking Carracosta in its tentacles! And it doesn't look like Peonia can call back her Carracosta just as long as Grapploct is out on the field!" The announcer announced.
"Use Power-Up Punch!" Sora ordered. Grapploct gave Carracosta a powerful punch onto Carracosta, building up his attack power. "Now use Octazooka!" Grapploct unleashed Octazooka and it lands a hit onto Carracosta. Carracosta is covered in ink.
"Grapploct launced an Octazooka onto Carracosta! And its accuracy will go right down!" The announcer announced.
"Power-Up Punch!" Sora ordered. Grapploct lands a Power-Up Punch onto Carracosta and earned a knockout. The referee raises the green flag.
"Carracosta is unable to battle! Grapploct wins!" The referee announced.
"Grapploct has taken down Carracosta and puts Sora in the lead! Now Peonia is down to two left!" Announcer announced. Peonia calls back her Carracosta and takes out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Archeops!" Peonia called out. Archeops came right out to battle against Grapploct.
"Peonia has sent out her Acrheops to deal with Grapploct!" The announcer announced.
"Power-Up Punch!" Sora ordered.
"Dodge and use Aerial Ace!" Peonia ordered. Archeops avoided Grapploct's Power-Up Punch and darts right into the octopus-like Pokémon. "Now use Dragon Claw!" Archeops slashes at Grapploct with Dragon Claw. Grapploct went right down. The referee raises the red flag.
"Grapploct is unable to battle! Archeops wins!" The referee announced.
"Archeops has taken down Grapploct, earning its trainer tie for two-to-two!" The announcer announced. Sora calls back Grapploct and took out Hitmonchan's Pokéball and threw it.
"Hitmonchan! Back to action!" Sora called out. Hitmonchan came right back out to battle.
"And Hitmonchan comes back to battle! Archeops has the edge as it's a Flying Type!" The announcer announced.
"Aerial Ace again!" Peonia ordered.
"Hitmonchan! Ice Punch! Use it once Archeops is close enough!" Sora ordered. Hitmonchan waited for Archeops to get a tad closer and lands a hit onto the first bird Pokémon. "Now use Thunder Punch!" Hitmonchan launched Thunder Punch onto Archeops, knocking out Archeops. The referee raises the green flag.
"Archeops is unable to battle! Hitmonchan wins!" The referee announced.
"Sora has derailed Peonia's chance for a comeback, redusing her to one more Pokémon to use!" The announcer annoounced.
"He's even better than I thought he is. He must have known I would use Archeops, so he has his Hitmonchan sent at me since it uses Thunder Punch and Ice Punch," Peonia said. She took out one more Pokéball. "But that Hitmonchan is no match for my number one Pokémon. Go! Tyrantrum!" She threw it and her Tyrantrum came right out to battle against Hitmonchan.
"Peonia's final Pokémon is Tyrantrum!" The announcer announced.
"Tyrantrum is a Dragon Type, so Ice Punch is a good effective move against it, so Mach Punch is also good since it's also a ROck Type. Hitmonchan! Use Mach Punch!" Hitmonchan lands a punch onto Tyrantrum. "Now use Ice Punch!" Hitmonchan lands an Ice Punch onto Tyrantrum, but not one of those moves did any damage on it, despite being a Rock Type and a Dragon Type.
"Hitmonchan is giving Tyrantrum a couple of good punches, but not one of those punches has made any impact!" The annoucner announced.
"Wow, that Tyrantrum just took those hits and it didn't even yell ow," Meowth said.
"Tyrantrum! Use Dragon Claw!" Peonia swipes its claws at Hitmonchan. "Now, use High Horsepower!" Tyrantrum charges right at the punching Pokémon.
"Dodge it!" Sora called out. Tyrantrum came too fast for Hitmonchan to dodge and lands a hit onto him, earning a knockout. The referee raises the red flag.
"Hitmonchan is unable to battle! Tyrantrum wins!" The referee announced.
"Peonia is making another comeback and is determined to win this by using Tyrantrum through and through!" The announcer announced. Sora calls back Hitmonchan and took out his last Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Steelix!" Sora called out. Steelix came right out and stars swirls from all around.
"And Sora's last Pokémon is his Steelix; and a Shiny Steelix to be exact!" The announcer announced.
"And I thought he was using all Fighting Types, but he had a Steel Type waiting for me. I'll just have to take it down and hard. Tyrantrum! Use High Horsepower!" Peonia ordered. Tyrantrum charges at Steelix with High Horsepower.
"And here comes Tyrantrum with High Horsepower! This could do some major damage on this iron snake Pokémon!" The announcer announced.
"Steelix! Use Breaking Swipe!" Sora ordered. Steelix swings his tail wildly and smacks right into Tyrantrum.
"Steelix blocks Tyrantrum's High Horsepower with its Breaking Swipe! It does some damage since being a Dragon Type as well!" The announcer announced.
"Now, use Heavy Slam!" Sora ordered. Steelix jumps and comes down at Tyrantrum with a great force of his body.
"Steelix comes down with Heavy Slam! And judging by its weight, it'll do some heavy damage!" The announcer announced. Steelix does some heavy damage onto Tyrantrum, but it's not going down that easily.
"Tyrantrum! Use Crunch!" Peonia ordered. Tyrantrum charges right at Steelix to deliver a bite.
"Steelix! Use Breaking Swipe!" Sora ordered. Steelix swings his tail wildly and smacked right into Tyrantrum.
"Tyrantrum has taken loads of damage from Steelix's Breaking Swipe attack! Could it be all over?" The annoucner asked. Tyrantrum goes right down. The referee raises the green flag.
"Tyrantrum is unable to battle! Steelix wins! Sora wins the battle!" The referee announced.
"Sora has won the battle against Peonia!" The announcer announced.
In the Crown Tundra, Peony is crying when the battle has ended.
"There, there, little brother. Your daughter has done her best," Rose assured his younger brother.
"It's not that! It's just I'm so proud!" Peony cried.
Back in the tournament, Yuffie and Tidus has once again won their way into victory as
"We are now down to sixteen remaining trainers! This section of the tournament shall take us to the main arena, in which the trainers shall be battling on battlefields that are either Rock, Water, Ice, or Grass! And same as last time, each trainer will use three Pokémon, and the battle is over when all three are defeated and the winner moves on to the next round, which will be a full six-on-six battle with the top eight trainers! Here's a look at the matchups for tomorrow's battles!" The announcer announced as the computer has selected. It turns out that Sora will be battling Marnie as Tidus and Yuffie will be battling each other. Lucas will be battling Conway.
After healing up Steelix, Grapploct, and Hitmonchan, he exchanged his entire team for Lucario, Infernape, Empoleon, Torterra, and Copperajah. Sora went over his strategy against Marnie, seeing her team is a Morpeko, a Toxicroak, a Scrafty, a Liepard, a Grimmsnarl, a Malamar. Sora figured Lucario and Infernape would be good choices and keep Copperajah as a back up in case of Toxicroak. Sora knew Copperajah was vulnerable to Toxicroak's Fighting Type moves, but he had to risk it.
"Well, I'm as ready as I'll ever be," Sora said. It was now time for Sora's next battle. Paul and Barry had won their battles already as Lucas and Tidus were getting ready for theirs against Conway and Yuffie. It was now tie for Sora's match against Marnie.
"And here we are! We have Marnie from Spikemuth against Sora from Pallet Town, duking it out right here in the main arena! Both trainers will be battling on a Grass battlefield!" The announcer announced as Sora and Marnie has entered.
"Trainers, choose your Pokémon and begin!" The referee instructed. Marnie took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Scrafty!" Marnie called out. Scrafty came right out. Sora took his out.
"Go! Infernape!" Sora called out. Infernape came out to battle.
"Sora chooses Infernape, Marnie chooses Scrafty! Both are using Fighting Types, but Scrafty is at a disadvantage since being a Dark Type!" The announcer announced.
"Marnie shall have the first move!" The referee called out.
"Scrafty! Use Thunder Punch!" Marnie ordered. Scrafty came at the flame Pokémon.
"Infernape! Use Mach Punch!" Sora ordered. Infernape came right at Scrafty and lands a punch onto Scrafty, canceling out Thunder Punch.
"Infernape makes a good strong punch against Scrafty! Super-effective!" The announcer announced.
"Not bad, Sora. Try this! Scrafty! Use Drain Punch!" Marnie ordered. Scrafty lands a Drain Punch onto Infernape and he has energy drained, so Scrafty recovers from its injuries.
"Scrafty recovers from its injuries by using Drain Punch!" The announcer announced.
"Now, use Thunder Punch!" Marnie ordered. Scrafty came at Infernape with another Thunder Punch.
"Dodge and use Flamethrower!" Sora ordered. Infernape avoids Thunder Punch and lands a hit with Flamethrower.
"Infernape lands a heavy Flamethrower attack!" The announcer announced.
"Now, Flare Blitz!" Sora ordered/ Infernape dashed right towards Scrafty while enguled in blue flames.
"Dodge it!" Marnie called out. Infernape came at Scraftty with Flare Blitz, earning a knockout. Infernape suffers some recoil damage. The referee raises the green flag.
"Scrafty is unable to battle! Infernape wins!" The referee announced.
"Scrafty has been taken down by Infernape's Flare Blitz and it looks like Infernape has taken some recoil damage!" The announcer announced. Infernape has was panting heavily from that blow. Marnie calls back Scrafty and took out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Toxicroak!" Marnie called out. Toxicroak has emerged from its Pokéball. Marnie's Toxicroak is claerly female.
"Marnie's second Pokémon is a Toxicroak! It looks like Infernape is pretty worn out from that Flare Blitz and those other hits from Scrafty!" The announcer announced. Sora calls back Infernape and took out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Copperajah!" Sora called out. Copperajah came right out to battle.
"Sora's next Pokémon is a Copperajah! Toxicroak clearly has the advatage as being a Fighting Type Pokémon!" The announcer announced.
"Sora might have made a mistake here. Copperajah's a Steel Type," Riku said.
"Eevee," Eevee said.
"I just hope he knows what he's doing," Agumon said.
"Toxicroak! Use Brick Break!" Marnie ordered. Toxicroak came right at the copperderm Pokémon with Brick Break.
"Copperajah! Dodge it!" Sora called out. Copperajah moves to the left, before Toxicroak could land a hit. "Now, use High Horsepower!" Copperajah rushed right at Toxicroak and lands a hit.
"Copperajah rams right into Toxicroak with High Horsepower! That's a super-effective hit!" The announcer announced.
"Now use Heavy Slam!" Sora ordered. Copperajah jumped and came down with Heavy Slam.
"Copperajah is coming down with Heavy Slam!" The annoucner announced.
"Dodge and use Brick Break!" Marnie ordered. Toxicroak avoids Heavy Slam and lands a hit with Brick Break.
"Toxicroak makes a comeback with Brick Break!" The announcer announced.
"Use Earthquake!" Marnie ordered. Toxicroak jumps and stomps on the ground, making the whole stadium shake. Copperajah tries to hold his balance.
"Copperajah is affected by that Earthquake!" The announcer announced.
"Now, use Brick Break!" Marnie ordered. Toxicroak heads right towards Copperajah to land a hit.
"And Toxicroak comes right at Copperajah with Brick Break!" The announcer announced.
"Copperajah, grab hold of Toxicroak with your trunk!" Sora called out. Copperajah grabs Toxicroak with his trunk, stopping the toxic mouth Pokémon. "Now, give her s spin!" Copperajah does exactly that, making Toxicroak dizzy from the swinging Copperajah is doing.
"Copperajah is literally taking Toxicroak out for a spin! I'm getting dizzy just by watching this!" The announcer announced. Copperajah then threw Toxicroak right at the wall, striking it. Toxicroak tries to get back up on her feet, but she fell on the ground, beaten. The referee raises the green flag.
"Toxicroak is unable to battle! Copperajah wins!" The referee announced.
"Sora remains in the lead and it's thanks to Copperajah's trunk work!" The announcer announced. Marnie calls back her Toxicroak and took out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Morpeko!" Marnie called out. Morpeko came right out to battle.
"Morpeko has now entered the fray in this match!" The announcer announced.
"I was expecting Grimmsnarl, but that Morpeko has got to be pretty tough," Sora said in his thoughts. He said out loud, "Don't underestimate Morpeko just because it's smaller than you are! It looks like it can pack quite a punch!" Copperajah nods in response. "Okay! Let's end this quick! High Horsepower!" Copperajah starts charging right towards Morpeko.
"Sora must want to end this pretty quickly since High Horsepower can pack quite a punch!" The announcer announced.
"Dodge and use Aura Wheel!" marnie ordered. Morpeko avoids Copperajah's High Horsepower and forms a wheel of electricity and hurls it right at Copperajah, dealing some heavy damage. "Now, use Seed Bomb!" Morpeko fires Seed Bomb and it lands a blow onto Copperajah.
"For a Pokémon that appears to be cute in appearence, it can pack quite a wallop on a large opponent like Copperajah!" The announcer announced.
"Aura Wheel!" Marnie ordered. Morpeko forms a wheel of aura and hurls it right at Copperajah, earning a knockout. The referee raises the red flag.
"Copperajah is unable to battle! Morpeko wins!" The referee announced.
"Marnie starts to make a comeback! Now Sora has two more Pokémon left to use! Which one will Sora send out?" The announcer questioned. Sora took out Infernape's Pokéball and threw it.
"Infernape! Back to action!" Sora called out. Infernape came right back out to battle. Infernape was still sore from the battle with Scrafty.
"Infernape is back right out and it's still pretty tender from the battle with Scrafty! It doesn't look like it'll last much longer!" The announcer announced.
"Infernape might have the edge, but those attacks Morpeko just unleashed are brutal," Riku said.
"I just hope Infernape can last much longer," Naminé said.
"Can't use Flare Blitz again, so I'll have to use his other moves to take Morpeko down," Sora said in his thoughts.
"Morpeko! Aura Wheel!" Marnie ordered. Morpeko unleashed another Aura Wheel and sends it right at Infernape.
"Dig!" Sora ordered. Infernape digs into the ground to avoid Aura Wheel.
"That was close! Infernape digs to avoid Morpeko's Aura Wheel!" The announcer announced.
"Keep your eyes open, Morpeko! Infernape can jump out at any moment!" Marnie said. Infernape comes right out and lands a hit onto the two-sided Pokémon.
"Infernape! Use Mach Punch!" Sora ordered. Infernape heads right towards Morpeko with a punch attack ready.
"Dodge and use Aura Wheel!" Marnie ordered. Morpeko uses Aura Wheel and lands a hit onto Infernape, earning a knockout. The referee raises the red flag.
"Infernape is unable to win! Morpeko wins!" The referee announced.
"Morpeko has taken down two oppoents in one battle! Even power can come from such a small package! Now, we're all anxious to see Sora's third Pokémon!" The announcer announced. Sora took out his next Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Lucario!" Sora called out. Lucario came right at out to battle.
"And Sora sends out Lucario! A clear advantage for being a Fighting Type Pokémon!" The announcer announced.
"Morpeko! Aura Wheel one more time!" Marnie ordered. Morpeko unleashed Aura Wheel right at Lucario.
"Use Double Team!" Sora ordered. Lucario uses Doouble Team and Aura Wheel misses its mark.
"Lucario starts off by using Double Team on, to avoid Aura Wheel!" The announcer announced.
"Now, use Aura Sphere!" Sora ordered. Lucario forms Aura Sphere and hurls it right at Morpeko, landing a hit.
"And Aura Sphere lands a powerful blow!" The announcer announced. Morpeko has transformed into its Hangry Mode. "Now, Morpeko has switched from its Full Bully Mode to its Hangry Mode!" Morpeko was angered by that hit with Aura Sphere.
"Morpeko sure looks angry," Terriermon said.
"More like Hangry," Kairi said.
"Hangry?" Vorvomon asked.
"What she means is, Morpeko has two sides of itself. What we saw was Morpeko in its Full Belly Mode, which means, it's happy. This Form is Hangry Mode, meaning it's hungry and angry," Agumon said.
"Wow, it's true what they about being cranky when hungry," the first Dracomon said.
"Also, we were told the move, Aura Wheel can change its Type depending on which Mode Morpekos in. When in Full Belly form, it's an Electric Type move. When in Hangry Mode, it's a Dark Type move," Hawkmon said.
"That means, it won't do much damage while in Hangry Mode," Patamon said.
"Morpeko! Use Seed Bomb!" Marnie ordered. Morpeko unleashed Seed Bomb right at Lucario, hoping to find the real one.
"Bone Rush!" Sora ordered. Lucario ceases Double Team and bats Seed Bomb with Bone Rush and it gets hit by its own move.
"Lucario scores a home run with ath hit! It uses Bone Rush to block Morpeko's Seed Bomb, and ends up getting hit by its own move!" The referee announced. Lucario comes right at Morpeko and gives it a hit with Bone Club.
"Morpeko! Use Aura Wheel!" Marnie ordered.
"Use Aura Sphere!" Sora ordered. Lucario unleashed Aura Sphere and it cuts though Aura Wheel and lands a heavy blow onto Morpeko. "Now, use Force Palm!" Lucario comes right at Morpeko and gives it a Force Palm, sending it backwards. Morpeko tries to get back up, but fell on the ground, faced down. The referee raise the green flag.
"Morpeko is unable to battle! Lucario wins! The winner is Sora!" The referee announced.
"An outstanding battle! Now Sora is moving on as part of the top eight of the Sinnoh Pokémon League's top eight!" The announcer announced.
"That means, it'll be a six-on-six battle," Guilmon said.
"I'm all a tingle," Kumamon said.
After the battle, Sora is greeted by his previous opponents.
"That was really good battling, Sora," Peonia said. Sora smiled.
"Thanks, Peonia. I have to say, you guys are really good," Sora said.
"Yeah, well, don't let it go to your head, because I plan on defeating you the next time we meet, Sora," Bede said.
"I'll try not to," Sora said.
"I have to say, I was very impressed by your battling skills, Sora. I wanted to battle you for quite a while," Marnie said. "I wanted to battle you ever since we met in Galar."
"Well, it looks like you got what you wanted out of it," Sora said. Marnie smiled.
"Anyway, good luck in the rest of the tournament, Sora," Peonia said.
"He won't need luck," Marnie said. "I know he'll win."
Now that the Sora's round in the three-on-three battles has concluded, he had made it to the top eight trainers to make it so far. Now, there was the matter of Lucas and Conway, as well as Tidus and Yuffie. Who will make it so far in the full six-on-six battles? Stay tuned up the next chapter to find out.
